Disclaimer: I don't own Marvel or any of its characters, if I did then Peter Parker and Kitty Pryde would be together in every universe. ShadowSpider or Pryker forever.
Note: I just discovered that Spectacular Spider-Man was supposed to be in the same universe as Avengers: EMH and Wolverine and the X-Men, so I decided to make this a bit of a crossover with the Spectacular Spider-Man. It won't be an exact crossover, I do have free will to change a few things to see fit to the story.
Chapter 3: Talking to Logan Part 1
Empire State University, New York City, Thursday, March 26
Peter was in class listening to the lecture that his teacher was giving, or at least he's trying to that is. Sadly, his mind kept going to one thing, the same thing that it kept going to for weeks, Felicia Hardy, and their breakup. Is he pathetic? Still thinking about something that happened three weeks ago. Shouldn't he have moved on by now? Felicia probably had already, she certainly seemed eager to leave him. He's trying to move on, he really is, but it is so hard. He and Felicia had just been through so much together. What he had done with Felicia, he had never done with Liz, Gwen, or Mary Jane. Peter won't undermine the roles that they played in his life, he won't say that each relationship was more special than the other. Well, that may be a bit of a lie, considering Peter broke up with Liz so he could be with Gwen. That didn't happen though, in the end Gwen left him out to dry, and he found himself alone, thank God that Mary Jane was there at the time. She picked up the pieces and put him back together. But in the end even she wound up leaving him. He was heartbroken, but then Felicia came in, for years she and he had had something going on between them, he wouldn't deny that. The only thing that kept them apart was that despite the attraction, they couldn't exactly trust each other with their secret identities. Not to mention there were three other girls who he had feelings for, that was quite complicated. But with Gwen gone, Mary Jane gone, and Liz wanting to stay friends, Peter and Felicia somehow became close.
They had wound up fighting alongside each other a few times. Some were when their goals aligned, others she just couldn't leave him or the situation alone. That's how he knew that she could be a hero, she just needed someone to encourage her. Every time they ran into each other they always flirted, every time she stole, and he caught her, she always wound-up giving back what she stole, and he honestly couldn't find it in himself to send her to jail, so he would just let her walk away, she would then steal again, and he would chase her, rinse and repeat. Honestly, now that he thinks about it, she may have done that just to get his attention. Well, it worked, she got his attention. Peter doesn't know how, he really doesn't, but somehow, someway as their weird partnership/friendship/relationship went on, the more he trusted her, and the feelings were mutual. After a close fight, where they both almost died, Peter decided that he trusted Black Cat enough to tell her who he was, and so he took off his mask and told her who he was. After that Black Cat did something surprising, she took off her mask, contacts, and hair which he later discovered was a wig. Peter will never forget seeing her natural hair color, she really was a blonde, not a platinum blonde but a golden one (The same hair color as her Spider-Man: The Animated Series counterpart). It was that night that Peter Parker and Felicia Hardy finally met and started a relationship. Peter sighed, Felicia certainly was different than the other girls he dated. He and she, they cared about each other, loved each other, fought alongside each other, saved each other's lives, and healed each other. Heck Peter even defended her from the Avengers, he stopped them when some of them wanted to arrest her and reveal her identity.
Peter sighed, 'What went wrong with us,' he thought, he is brought out of his thoughts by the bell, signifying the end of class, he missed the entire class. Doesn't even know what they talked about, he sighs, looks like he'll just ask to copy someone's notes. For now, it's time to get to his next class. Peter gets up from his seat and heads out of the room, heading to his next class.
Xavier's Institute
Kitty was in the library laying down on the couch, her back rest against the arm, her feet are out, one on top of the other, she was reading a book, hey she may not be in college, but she likes to keep her mind active, and reading a nice book does just that. What is she reading, none other than Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. What can she say, she was in the mood to read about wizards and witches. It has been over two weeks since Logan joined back up with the Avengers and it had been quiet. Well, it had been quiet at the institute, in New York it seems like something is always going on and Logan is always on call. It is actually kind of funny watching, Logan will be doing something like fixing his bike, eating or training then he'll get a call interrupting him, he'd growl some profanities and then he'd answer. One time in the danger room a call distracted him enough that he wound up being hit by one for the traps. Kitty giggled as she thought of that. That was really funny, especially when he started cursing like a sailor. No, she takes that back, he wasn't cursing like a sailor, he was cursing like Logan, and that is worse than a sailor. Logan has been in and out for weeks, but despite him being busy, Kitty has to give him credit, he is doing a good job balancing everything. Wonder how long that is gonna last? Kitty turned the page and continued reading.
"Hey Kitty," Bobby's voice said snapping Kitty from her book.
Kitty sighed and peeked up from her book to see Bobby in front of her giving her a smile. She frowned, ever since their breakup Bobby has been trying to convince Kitty to give him another chance, says that he'll do better. But Kitty isn't interested, Bobby had his chance, and he blew it. He's too immature for the type of relationship that she's looking for. She has told him this too, but he still keeps on trying. For weeks he's been bugging her and driving her crazy. Can't she get a moment alone to herself without him trying to win her back or something? "What is it Bobby," Kitty asked
"I was just wondering if you wanted to go to Cony Island? Think about it, the food, the rides, the games, and the other attractions. Heck we can even play Mutant or Human. Remember that," Bobby asked
Kitty sighed, Mutant or Human was a game that the kids at the institute would play. Because mutants were known to hide within carnivals, amusement parks, or anywhere else that they can use their powers to make money without revealing themselves, every time the kids at the institute would go to some sort of weird attraction, they would always debate on whether or not the person was a human or a mutant. It was a fun game built to entertain children, and it can still be pretty fun to play, with the right company. Bobby, however, is not the right company. "No thanks Bobby, I'm good," she said as she went back to the book.
"Come on Kitty, it will be fun. We can even use the time to fix us," Bobby said
"There is no us Bobby," Kitty said as she closed her book, got up, and then exited the room. She has to leave, as long as Bobby is in there, she'll never get any peace. Kitty walks around the institute a while until she finds herself in one of the rooms, she isn't alone there though, as she walks in, she sees Ororo taking care of the plants.
Ororo looks when she hears Kitty enter the room, "Hello Kitty," Ororo said
"Hey Ororo, I'm not interrupting am I," Kitty asked
"Of course not, I'm just watering the plants," Ororo said as she continued watering the plants.
"That's good, I was afraid that I might be bothering you," Kitty said
"Of course not Kitty, you're always welcome," Ororo said
"Thanks, I just needed some time to myself," Kitty said as she walks toward a chair and sits down, leaning on the backrest.
Setting the watering pan down, Ororo turned toward Kitty, "Everything ok Kitten," Ororo asked
Kitty sighed, "It's Bobby," she said getting an understanding look from Ororo. "I was at the library reading when he came in asking me out to cony island."
"I see, and I assume you said no," Ororo said
"Of course, I said no. I know what he wants, what he will think, and what he will do. He wants to get back together, he will think of that as a date, and he will use that to convince me to give him another chance. But I am not interested," Kitty said laying her head on top of the backrest, she sighed in frustration.
"I think Bobby wants you back Kitty," Ororo said
"You're not telling me to give him another chance," Kitty asked incredulously
"Of course not, you gave him his chance, and sadly he failed. Everyone could tell that you two were gonna breakup in the end. Some of us weren't exactly the biggest fans of what your relationship entailed. Especially Logan, can't begin to tell you how many times we've all had to stop him from cutting Bobby in half," Ororo said
"I think we probably should have," Rogue said, the other two women looked and saw Rogue walking in the room. "Hey Ororo. Hey Kitty, what's up?" Kitty gave a sigh in response, "Bobby," Rogue said knowingly
"How'd you guess," Kitty said
"For one, it's you're frustrated faced, and second I ran into Bobby, he's looking for you," Rogue said, making Kitty give a frustrated noise in response.
"Can't he just leave me alone," Kitty said making Rogue rub her back sympathetically.
"Ya want him to leave ya alone, ya could always go to Logan, he was always good at chasing boys away from ya. I actually thought ya would die a virgin," Rogue said getting an annoyed look from Kitty.
"I'm still a virgin Rogue, and I don't need Logan. I can take care of myself without him. I don't need him," Kitty said getting snippy with the Logan part.
Rogue and Ororo looked at each other in concern at what Kitty said. They're not blind, they can see what has been going on between Kitty and Logan or what hasn't been going on. Ever since the X-Men were reformed Kitty has made sure to distance herself as far away from Logan as possible. Anything that had to do with the feral mutant she avoided. They both know that Logan's leaving didn't just hurt Rogue but Kitty as well, especially Kitty. Kitty knew Logan longer than Rogue did, she was already close to him when Rogue came into the picture. Kitty and Logan's bond ran deep, she looked up to him. It was his opinion that mattered to her. Ororo could remember when Scott, Jean, or herself would complement Kitty on a job well done, the girl would smile and say thanks, but when Logan said good job, Kitty would have the biggest smile on her face. She, Scott, and Jean had praised Kitty and even gave little speeches of how proud they were with how far she's come, and all she would do is smile, say thanks and move on. But Logan, all he had to say was two words and Kitty would light up like a Christmas tree.
They were all aware of Kitty's training with Logan, and they were all greatly concerned for the girl's safety, especially when she'd come out of a session with bruises and cuts. She's had to go to the infirmary a few times to get bandaged up. Ororo and some of the other senior X-Men had offered to put a stop to the training. They could do it if Logan wanted to continue staying at the institute. Kitty would just glare at them and say no, that she could handle anything that Logan gives her. She would say that Logan was making her strong. They've offered to take her under their wing, even Scott, Ororo will never forget what Kitty said when that was offered.
Flashback, 5 years ago, 4 months into Kitty's training
Kitty, Jean, Scott, and Ororo were all in one of the living rooms alone, Kitty was sitting down while the three senior members were standing across from her, "Listen, I appreciate your concern, but I don't want to train with you. I want to train with Logan," Kitty said
"Why? Look what he's doing to you, every time you come out from one of his training sessions, you have bruises and cuts all over you. Why do you want to train with him," Scott demanded, not understanding why anyone would want to train with the Wolverine.
"Honesty? Because you're not the best," Kitty said honestly, surprising the three.
"What," Scott said in shock
"You're not the best, but Logan is, he's the best at what he does," Kitty said
"But Kitty, what he does, what he did, it wasn't nice. Do you even know the things that he did," Ororo said, she was very aware of some of the things that Logan had done before he joined. She's still not sure she trusts the man.
"I have an idea," Kitty said grinning
"You think that's amusing," Scott questioned glaring at the girl and her dismissive behavior.
Kitty shrugged, "In order to do what he did, that takes skill and a lot of it," she said
"He's deadly Kitty, dangerous, a predator, a weapon," Scott said getting frustrated with the girl, hopefully what he said has gotten through to her. Much to his and the other two surprise Kitty just grinned more.
"I know, and by the time my training is done, so will I," Kitty said shocking the three senior members. Kitty then looked at the wall where a clock was located, seeing the time she got up from the couch, "Now if you'll excuse me, it's almost time for my training. Logan hates it when I'm late. Later," Kitty said waving her hand, she then ran out of the room leaving the three adults standing in shock.
End flashback
After that encounter Ororo realized that there was really nothing that they could do. Kitty wanted to train with Logan, heck she later found out that she's the one who convinced him, even after he told her the horrors on what it would entail, she still wanted to do it. Looking back through the years that past and at the skill that Kitty started displaying and then at the Kitty that is right in front of her. She can see Logan's training even now. Kitty is poised, she looks like she is relaxing but Ororo knows that one false move on any of their parts and she would have her then Rogue down on the ground in seconds, before either could even use their powers. And looking in the girl's eyes, they are the eyes of an annoyed eighteen-year-old girl, but Ororo knows that is just an illusion that Logan taught her to put up. If one looks deeper, behind those innocent eyes are the eyes that Kitty so sought back then, they are the eyes of a predator, of a weapon. Kitty has become what she wanted Logan to make her. She became those very things that Scott told Kitty Logan was that day, Logan was deadly, he made her deadly, Logan was dangerous, he made her dangerous, Logan was a predator, he made her a predator, Logan was a weapon, he made her a weapon. Kitty, she wasn't just any weapon though, she was Logan's weapon, she knew it, and she was proud of it. But Kitty was more than that, she became more than that, Kitty she had become Logan's daughter. It's true the more she trained with Logan, the more she changed, not just in skill but in attitude as well. Logan was certainly able to beat that attitude out of her. Ororo loves Kitty and always liked her even back then, but she has to admit that Kitty did have a bratty attitude back then. Logan's training changed that though. But it wasn't just Kitty who changed, the more they trained the softer Logan became. It was subtle at first, so subtle that you'd never even notice it, but looking back Ororo could see the changes in him. He was softer, more tolerant, in his own way kinder, he didn't go out on his own as much. Sure, he was still a complete pain in the ass especially to Scott, but he changed and Ororo can say it was because of the woman in front of her that he did. Well Rogue gave some help in that, but if it weren't for Logan having to take care of Kitty for a year, he probably wouldn't have paid attention to the Mississippi native.
Ororo got to witness one of the strangest relationships there was at the institute. The relationship that Logan and Kitty had was strange, but it was also nice too. It was nice to see Logan caring for someone, not to mention how fatherly and protective he could get when it came to Kitty. Anyone hurt his pum'kin then they better run, cause Logan will kill them. Kitty had once feared Logan, she remembers some of the girl's comments, but after they started her training that fear had disappeared, and was replaced by respect, devotion, and love. Kitty loved Logan, loved him like a daughter would a father, she looked up to Logan, always sought his approval. She was one of the only people who wasn't scared of him and saw more than what he showed others. It's possible that the Logan they know now, Kitty was the first to see. It saddens Ororo to see just how distanced that the two are, she can understand why Kitty was angry, same reason why Rogue was angry, she just wishes that just like Rogue worked out her issues with Logan, Kitty could do the same. She's sure that the girl would be much happier, it must hurt to place so much distance from the man who is practically your father. Ororo knows that Logan doesn't like it, she's seen him try to reconnect with Kitty, he's invited her to train with him, asked her help to fix his motorcycle, even just asked to sit down with him so they could talk, yet each time Kitty had declined and found some way to leave. Ororo would then see a frown appear on Logan's face afterwards, the only indication he would ever show in public that he was hurt by the rejections.
It saddens Ororo to see this, both Kitty and Logan hurt, both wanting nothing more than for things to go back to where they used to be before the explosion. She wishes that she could do something, but she can't. This is something that only they can work out.
"I can handle Bobby, he ever crosses the line I can easily snap his arm," Kitty said
"I'm sure you could," Rogue said laughing
New York City
Spider-Man was swinging around the city patrolling, he needed something to get his mind off Felicia and kicking bad guy butt has always worked in the past. As he swings around Times Square Spider-Man hears an explosion, "Well there's my distraction," he said, Spider-Man then swings over to where the commotion came from.
As he closed in where the commotion was Spider-Man could see Rhino robbing a bank, the police were there and Rhino was knocking them all away with his strength, their bullets bouncing off his hard exterior. "IS THAT THE BEST YOU GOT," Rhino said roaring as he charged a police car and hit it with his horn. The police car was sent flying twenty feet away, thankfully all the policemen were out of their cars, so no one died.
"Call for backup," an officer said
"SOMEONE CALL FOR BACKUP," Spider-Man said as he swung onto the scene and gave Rhino a double kick to the face. "Hey everybody," he said as he landed.
"Spider-Man," Rhino growled out as he saw his hated enemy.
"The one and only," Spider-Man said bowing. Rhino charged Spider-Man, but the hero jumps and pushes off Rhino's back, landing behind him, "Perfect landing," Spider-Man said as he turned around and faced Rhino. Rhino charged again and tried to smash the hero with both fists, but Spider-Man jumped and then kicked Rhino under the chin. Rhino shook off the hit and tried to punch Spider-Man who was just able to dodge it. Spider-Man then webbed Rhino's hands together and webbed his feet to the floor. After a few seconds of struggling Rhino breaks out of his bindings, "I need to make stronger webbing," Spider-Man quipped, Rhino then punches Spider-Man across the street, "Ow," he said rubbing his head, Spider-Man then stands up, "That hurt."
Rhino charges Spider-Man again and throws a punch only for Spider-Man to duck underneath it, he then punches Rhino three times in the abdomen and then uppercuts him, throwing his head up and making him stumble back a few steps. Deciding to use his advantage Spider-Man shoots his webs and slingshots himself at Rhino, giving the villain a double kick in the face making him fall to the ground, cracking it. "Spider-Man 1, Rhino zip," Spider-Man commented
Rhino got up from the ground, "Not bad wall-crawler, then again not bad isn't good enough. No wonder Black Cat dumped you," Rhino said surprising Spider-Man.
"Excuse me," Spider-Man said
"You heard me. What, you didn't think that would have stayed quiet for long did you? I wonder what it was that made her dump you. Was it your dumb jokes? Maybe she got tired of your childishness? Maybe you were just bad in bed. So many reasons," Rhino said making Spider-Man narrow his eyes and clutch his fist in anger. "I don't know how you did it, but somehow, she stayed loyal to you, but now that she's available. Maybe I'll have a go at her. Show her what a real man can do in bed. You know, make her scream the way you never could," Rhino said with a cruel smile, next thing he knew Spider-Man punched him right in the face making him stumble. That was surprising, how did he cross the distance so quickly? Spider-Man didn't let up, he kept up the attack, he kicked Rhino in the chest, double kicked him under the chin, jumped up, span around and elbowed him in the cheek, Spider-Man then grabbed Rhino's arm and tossed him to the ground. Once Rhino stood up, Spider-Man was on him, but being blinded by his anger he overextended his punch and Rhino grabbed his arm and slammed him against the street ten times. After the tenth time, Rhino punched Spider-Man in the chest digging him in the street. Rhino tries to do it a second time, but Spider-Man rolled away just in time. The hero stood up and stared at the villain. "Is that the best you got? No wonder Black Cat dumped you," Rhino taunted
Spider-Man growled and then charged Rhino, but just like last time, being blinded by anger, he made a mistake and Rhino exploited it by punching Spider-Man in the stomach making him cough in pain. Rhino then grabbed Spider-Man's head and once again slammed him to the ground, all the while smiling in pleasure, it always pleased him when he could hurt the bug. Rhino lifted Spider-Man up and then threw him ten feet until he hit the ground skidding another five feet. Spider-Man groaned in pain, "Gonna feel that in the morning," he said, Spider-Man then hears rumbling and looks up to see Rhino charging again, looking around Spider-Man sees a car, he picks up the car, "I sure hope this car in insured," Spider-Man then swings the car at Rhino sending him smashing into a building, "Would you look at that, he just crashed into Joe's Sloppy Joes. Really hate that place and not because it has a terrible name."
Rhino digs out of the rubble and walks out of it, "That all you got? I have a rhino's skin nothing can pierce through it," Rhino said
"Is that a fact," a voice said
A figure then rushed Rhino and swings diagonal left then diagonal right at the villain's chest, the next thing the villain knew he was feeling an incredible amount of pain making him scream, he then felt his chest and looked at his hands only to see blood. "What," Rhino said, he then looks at his chest and sees two pairs of three claw marks forming an X.
"Well guess what bub," the voice said, both Spider-Man and Rhino look to see Wolverine in his suit, "My claws, aren't just nothing, they're something sharp."
"Wolverine," Spider-Man said
"Hey Webs," Wolverine said as he walked up to Spider-Man and pulled him up.
"What are you doing here," Spider-Man asked
"Was out for a ride and saw the fight, decided to stick around and see if you needed help. Obviously, I made the right choice," Wolverine said
"What are you talking about, I got him exactly where I want him," Spider-Man said
"Really," Wolverine asked
"Yeah, I was gonna wait till he got close enough and unleash a new superpower of mine venom blasts," Spider-Man said
"Venom blasts," Wolverine repeated with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, you see I shoot electricity from my hands and shock the hell out of him, it's a totally cool power, I just got it a month ago," Spider-Man explained
Wolverine looked at Spider-Man for a moment, "No you didn't," he said
"No, I didn't," Spider-Man confirmed, "But that would be one cool power, wouldn't it. If there were a way to upgrade my powers, I would so choose that, well that and invisibility. There are a lot of things I could do with invisibility. Oh, and spider fangs, that would be cool."
Wolverine shook his head, he'll admit to missing the kid's joking demeanor, no matter how annoying it could be at times.
"You think that just because one extra person is here that will make a difference? Think again, I'll crush the both of you," Rhino said
"Rhino, heard about him. Never fought him though. Any info you can give that will be helpful," Wolverine asked
"Well, he's big, he's mean, has a serious tempter, he's stronger than me, has the skin of a rhino which means virtually nothing can pierce it," Spider-Man said
"Key word, virtually," Wolverine said as he raised his claws.
"He hates my guts, before he got his powers, he was just a thug I would put in jail," Spider-Man said
"JUST A THUG, THAT'S ALL I WAS TO YOU. JUST SOME THUG," Rhino demanded as he heard Spider-Man's explanation.
"Hey, I remembered your name, didn't I? But really, I paid more attention to the actual threats," Spider-Man explained
"Actual threat, I'LL SHOW YOU WHO'S AN ACTUAL THREAT," Rhino said as he charged the heroes who dodged the charge.
"Great. Way to go with pissing this guy off Webs," Wolverine said
"Hey, I was just being honest. Don't you know, it's the best policy," Spider-Man said from the streetlight that he was crouched on.
Rhino turned around to look at the two heroes in anger. Wolverine summoned his claws, "Alright Bub, you want a showdown between beasts LET'S GO," Wolverine said roaring as he charged Rhino who charged back.
"Hey, wait for me," Spider-Man said as he shot a web and swung to the fight.
After the fight
It took a while, but Spider-Man and Wolverine were able to take Rhino down and got him arrested. Now the two Avengers were standing on the edge of the roof watching as Rhino was escorted to the van and drove off.
"So, what's been going on with you lately," Wolverine asked
"What do you mean," Spider-Man asked
"You normally could handle a guy like that on your own, yet I had to step in because you were getting your butt handed to you," Wolverine explained
"It's nothing really," Spider-Man said
"Right. This isn't the first time I've been saving your ass, ever since I got back, I've been saving your ass. If I'm gonna keep on doing this, I think I should know the reason why I'm saving you all the time," Wolverine said
"I thought that it was because when it came to the Avengers that you and I were best friends," Spider-Man quipped
"Don't flatter yourself Parker," Wolverine said making Spider-Man chuckle. "It's about that Black Cat, isn't it?"
Spider-man looked at Wolverine startled, "How did you...," Spider-Man asked
"That mansion may be filled with adults, but I swear that gossip spreads just as fast as it does at the Institute," Wolverine explained
"Oh," Spider-Man said, that makes sense, the Avengers really were good at gossiping about each other.
"I'll admit, I was surprised that you got together with the thief. Always knew that you were attracted to her, but I never thought you'd pursue a relationship. Whatever happened to Watson," Wolverine asked finally taking the time to catch up with an old friend.
Spider-Man sighed, "Mary Jane decided to go into acting and moved away to focus on starting up a career. She didn't think a long-distance relationship would work out and decided that it would be better if we broke up," Spider-Man explained
"Heh, for a while I thought that you two might make it," Wolverine said
"So did I, I was heartbroken. Took me a long time to move on, but eventually I did, and it was with Felicia," Spider-Man said
"How does that even happen," Wolverine asked getting a shrug from Spider-Man.
"Got me, we didn't understand how it happened either. We wound up working together more, got to know each other, and we learned to trust each other. Next thing we know attraction started to turn into something more. I started to gain feelings for her and she for me. After a close call in one of our team-ups, we revealed our identities to each other, and that is when we began our relationship, and it was good. Really good, great even, with Felicia I rarely ever had to worry about her because she could take care of herself. I never had to come up with any lame excuses when I was late for a date, I could just tell her, and I never had to come up with an excuse to leave when a villain was attacking because she already knew, heck she'd come with me. There was an openness and honesty in our relationship that I've never had before. With Felicia I felt that I didn't have to hide, not like I did with Liz, Gwen, or Mary Jane," Spider-Man said he then sighed, "Truth is I fell in love with her and she me, at least that's what she told me. She told me that she loved me. I don't get it. What happened? She tells me she loves me and one month later, she breaks up with me."
"She tell you why," Wolverine asked
"She said that we ran our course, that she's tired of running the same course when she already knew all of the turns. She said that she needed something new in her life and I was getting old and tiresome," Spider-Man explained
"Sounds like a bitch if you ask me," Wolverine said making Peter smile under his mask.
"You would say that," Spider-Man said, he then sighed, "I don't know Logan, maybe, maybe I'm just not meant for this, for love."
"Being a bit dramatic don't you think? She's one girl Peter, it's not like this is your first breakup," Wolverine said
"Exactly, it's not my first breakup, Liz, Gwen, Mary Jane, and now Felicia. I dated Liz but I broke up with her to be with Gwen who was supposed to leave Harry to be with me, but that didn't happen, instead she stays with him and spends the rest of high school avoiding me until she left for England for college. Mary Jane was there though, and she picked up the pieces, and I can say that I moved on, she was incredible, I was actually gonna take all of your guy's advice and tell her that I was Spider-Man. But then she decided to become an actress, left New York, and broke up with me. Now we have Felicia, Felicia, she helped me move on from Mary Jane, when I thought I couldn't love anyone else, I find myself falling for The Black Cat, it's crazy I know. The Spectacular Spider-Man falling in love with the thief Black Cat. It's crazy but it happened, and now we're done," Spider-Man sighed
"I thought that you were going by Amazing Spider-Man now," Wolverine said
Spider-Man shrugged, "I go back and forth between them, ever since I saw this internet poll set up by someone online, shadowneiko I think their username was," Spider-Man said getting a raised eyebrow from Logan, he recognizes that name. Spider-Man sighed, "Maybe this is the world's way of saying that I'm not meant for love, I'm not meant to get married or have kids, maybe this is the world saying that stuff like this just isn't in the cards for guys like me."
Wolverine sighed, "Listen Webs, I'm no expert in love, but you should never give up on it. After everything you've been through, you deserve some happiness in your life. Maybe for once stop looking and wait for it to find you," he said
Spider-Man was silent for a minute, contemplating on what Logan said, "That's actually some pretty sound advice, wow becoming a leader really changed you. You're much wiser now, it's weird," Spider-Man said as he looked at Wolverine.
"Gee thanks," Wolverine said sarcastically, he then noticed that Spider-Man kept staring at him, "Ok, why are you staring at me?"
"I'm just imagining you as a little, green, wrinkly, gremlin with pointy ears," Spider-Man answered
"What," Wolverine asked
"Yeah, and I'm also imagining you calling me your young padawan in an aged voice. What do you say master, shall we begin my training," Spider-Man asked
"Don't make me gut you, I swear I will chase you down the street and gut you," Wolverine said
"I don't doubt it, wouldn't be the first time you've tried that," Spider-Man said as he remembered some of the times where Logan would chase him, swinging his claws at him while throwing out threats and cussing so much that it would put a sailor to shame. "Hey Logan."
"Yeah," Wolverine said
"Thanks," Spider-Man said
Wolverine smirked, "No problem kid," he said
Ends Chapter
Chapter 3 is done; I hope everyone liked it because just like always I enjoyed writing it. Be sure to review, creative criticism is welcome but regular criticism isn't. Also, quick question, it has been a long time since I've watch The Spectacular Spider-Man, does anyone know if Peter actually dated Gwen and Mary Jane in the show. The Spectacular Spider-Man TV show is this Peter's past with a few possible changes. So, I want to be as accurate as possible. That being said That's All True Believers.
