Chapter 2 New friends?
A.N Hey Jones man here to tell you that this chapter contains mention/implied abuse.
And to ranjira1988 I used what others did in the other Harry Potter and RWBY stories and had the silver eyes hurt them. And with them being transported to another universe you would think they get some upgrades and With that all out of the way, enjoy.
Alleyway close to Little Whinging
"This is not good." Weiss thought. She looked back at her friends (plus Neo) with a worried look.
"May I ask my questions now?" Harry interrupted Weiss's thoughts.
"What are we going to do?" Asked a panicked Jaune. Harry felt his headache at being ignored. "How are we going to get back?"
Ruby placed a calming hand on his arm. "We'll think of a way. Don't worry, Jaune."
"Can someone tell me what is going on here?"
"We will be with you in a-what?" A shocked Weiss pointed at Harry's wand. "What is with the stick?"
A frustrated Harry shouted. "Listen to me! I have questions and you are all going to answer them or I'm going to start hexing!"
Neo rolled her eyes and Harry turned his wand in her direction. "What are you going to do with a stick, kid? Poke us with it?"
Ruby, ever the peacemaker, got between the cute boy and her friends (plus Neo). "Harry let's not do anything that we'll regret later." She turned to Neo. "Neo, he can do magic with it so please try not to antagonize him."
Neo rolled her eyes at the word magic. "If he can do magic, then why with a stick of all things? They are breakable. Why not blades, or jewelry? That would be much more sensible."
"I have no idea. That's a question more for my friend, Hermione." Harry shook his head. "I'm the one that's supposed to be asking the questions here. Now..." Before Harry could talk, he noticed the cat ears on Blake's head. "What's with the cat ears? Did you have a transmutation accident?"
"Excuse me?!" Blake hissed. "Do you have a problem with my ears?"
Before she could do anything, Yang placed a hand on Blake's shoulder to calm her down. "Easy Blake. I don't think he's prejudiced. For all we know, Faunus may exist here."
Harry instantly winced at the word prejudiced. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. Yang is right; I've never known someone who was born with ears like yours."
Before Blake could respond, they all heard a sound from around the corner "Great. Now what?" Harry thought as he pointed his wand to face what was coming.
But it was just Mrs. Figg, Harry's neighbor.
"Don't put your wand away, boy, they might-" Mrs. Figg cut herself off and screeched, "What happened here?!" Not minding Harry's stuttering excuses she ran over to Dudley's prone body, completely ignoring the petrified Dementor. "Hey, young man! Can you hear me?" The older woman turned to the group. "Can someone deal with that Dementor?" Yang grabbed the arm that was holding Harry's cousin down and snapped it in half before throwing the rest of it aside. As the Dementor hit the ground with a loud Crash, its body shattered to dust. Mrs. Figg then proceeds to look Dudley over for injuries. "Which one of you petrified it? I've never heard of someone who could petrify a Dementor."
Harry interrupted before Ruby could speak. "What are you doing here, Mrs. Figg?"
"Dumbledore sent me here to keep watch over you. When I felt cold I came here as fast as I can. Now answer me, boy! Who froze the Dementor?"
It was Ruby's turn to bashfully speak. "It was nothing, miss. It is our job as huntsman to protect people from monsters like that."
"But how-"
"Does it matter?" Weiss interrupted. "These things attacked these boys and they were lucky we were around."
Mrs. Figg seemed to accept that answer. "Well, it looks like this only has a few bruises and is out cold. Otherwise, he'll live."
"Hey, fellas? Blake asked, kneeling on the side of some of the black goo. "What is this stuff?"
"No idea," Harry said as he move the cloth off his head to show them his scar. "But it came out of here."
"Anything special about that scar besides its weird shape?"
"Have you not heard my story?" Harry was surprised. He had never heard of a witch or wizard who hadn't heard his story. Who are these people?
"Well, we're not from around here."
So Harry told them about the evil wizard Voldemort that started a war in Britain. That he claimed wizards and witches with magic that called themselves pure-bloods should rule, and anyone who wasn't pure-blooded should be killed. How he killed anyone that opposed him and, with help from a man named Peter Pettigrew, murdered Harry's parents and tried to kill an infant Harry. Then Harry told them about the Tri-Wizard Tournament and how a servant of Voldemort had tricked him into entering, resulting in the death of a schoolmate.
"Now he's back and no one wants to believe it." Harry despairingly explained. He felt arms winding gently around his neck. He looked down at Ruby as she pulled him into a hug.
"You looked like you needed that." They both shared a smile before they noticed how close their faces were. They quickly jumped away from each other; both blushing as red as Ruby's cloak.
"Come on, Potter." Harry thought. "She's a super-powered monster hunter with a heart of gold. She's clearly out of your league."
"Wait, hold on." Weiss examined Harry's scar closely. "Did you say you were hit with a spell and that no one but you survived?" Harry nodded. "Did you even receive medical help?"
"Clearly not, Weiss, as he has a scar." Blake pointed out.
"I don't know. Maybe? I was only an infant. Now, it only causes me problems when Voldemort is close."
"Weiss, do you have any spare Dust tubes on you?" Blake asked.
Weiss searched her satchel. "Got one here. Why?"
Blake took it and scooped up some of the goo. "I want a sample of this stuff. I've got this feeling that this is more than it seems."
Mrs. Figg came over to Harry. "It's getting late. I should be getting you and your cousin home."
"Ma'am, you don't need to worry" Ruby reassured Mrs. Figg. "We'll get them home safely." Mrs. Figg thought for a moment before she nodded to Ruby. Ruby turned to her team. "Okay, everyone. Myself, Yang, and Neo will drop Harry and his cousin at their home. Blake, you, Jaune, and Weiss head back to that park. We'll rendezvous there."
Weiss walked up to her. "Ruby, are you sure you'll be alright with her?" Weiss nodded her head at a pouting Neo.
"We'll be fine, Weiss." Ruby smiled reassuringly. "And I'll be sure to keep an eye on her.."
A few feet over, Blake was grasping Yang's hand tightly. "Be careful? I don't want to lose you again."
Yang lifted Blake's chin and caressed her face. "Blake, we will be fine. It will only be a short trip."
"It looks like these girls are good friends." Harry thought "Some more than others." Harry noticed Yang moving towards Dudley. He was about to volunteer to help her carry his cousin, but she effortlessly tossed Dudley over her shoulder with little effort.
As the group separated, unknown to them, Mrs. Figg decided to report to Dumbledore about what happened today.

Grimmauld Place Kitchen.
"Here I am, in another order meeting where most likely nothing is gonna be done." Sirius thought with venom. "In my childhood home, no less. If I had my way, this place would be nothing but ashes! The only thing stopping me is that mangey little rat, Wormtail, who is still out there. And I'm stuck here! That traitorous rat framed me for betraying James & his wife Lily. I would rather eat the killing curse than betray them! Also, thanks to him, my Godson is trapped with Lily's sister and her family." Sirius shuddered. "I tried to get Dumbledore to bring Harry here but no! 'The wards are safer. Bullocks! It's all Voldemort's fault! If it weren't for him, Harry would still have his parents and be happy! He wouldn't have to worry about a madman coming after him. He would only have to worry about Quidditch and finding love. Or if he, is anything like his dog father, a few loves."
Sirius was interrupted from his thoughts by someone calling, "Dumbledore?! Dumbledore?! Merlin's beard is Dumbledore even here?!" Ms. Figg hurriedly entered the room. She didn't even care that she had interrupted an Order meeting.
Moody thundered, "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be watching Potter?!"
Mrs. Figg said the one word that made everyone panic. "Harry was attacked by DEMENTORS!"
After that word, questions started flying. "Where? Is Harry all right? Why did you leave him?"
"QUIET!" Mrs. Figg squawked. "Mr. Potter is fine. Everything has already been taken care of."
"What do you mean?" Moody questioned suspiciously.
Figg reached into her handbag, pulled out a bit of dust, and placed it on the table. "This is all that remains of that Dementor."
Moody fumed. "Is this a joke?"
Snape, in an ever-bored tone, asked, "What caused this? It couldn't have been Potter; only a powerful wizard could have done such a thing. Potter, as scrappy as he is, is not up to par yet."
"Oh yeah?" Sirius thought as Moody waved his wand to examine the dust. "Well, you didn't see him fight off a hundred of them."
"The signature of this is similar to the Patronus charm but it's far more powerful." Moody almost sounded impressed.
Sirius, ever so curious, asked, "If Harry didn't do this, then who did?"
Mrs. Figg just shook her head. "I don't know where you found those kids, Albus, but Potter might have been kissed by those monsters if they weren't there."
"What kids!?"
"Deary, all the children are here." Mrs. Weasley couldn't help but point out.
Mrs. Figg looked confused. "If you didn't ask them to watch over Potter, then why were they protecting him?"
Before anyone could answer here, a loud beeping sounded from Dumbledore. He pulled out an old pocket watch and opened it. "The wards!" He exclaimed.

A few moments ago Privet drive
While Yang was carrying Harry's cousin in the middle, Neo was upfront while Harry and Ruby walked side by side. "I swear I've caught him staring at me!" Ruby thought. "Not that I blame him. I have grown since Beacon. Not to mention I would be a hypocrite if I didn't look at him as well; with that black bird's nest of hair and those emerald green eyes. And that accent! Girls must kill to hang out with him. But I'm not the prettiest girl; and, for all I know, he probably already has someone."
Harry broke Ruby out of her brooding thoughts as he pointed to a house. "The one with the four on it." It looked just as bland as the other houses on the street. Harry cut ahead of them to open the door. As the girls walked inside they noticed there were a bunch of pictures of Harry's cousin, but none of Harry himself. As Yang placed (more like dropped) Dudley on the couch in the living room, a chubby man and a tall woman came in. As soon as they saw Harry's cousin they yelled, "Dudders!"
"Sir, ma'am you have to calm down." Ruby tried to placate the riled couple. "As you can see, your boys are fine."
"What happened to my Dudders?" The woman demanded.
Yang answered. "They were attacked by some type of creature. Your kid has some bruises around his neck but should be fine with some rest. As you see, Harry here has a head injury. Do you happen to have a first-aid kit?"
The fat man looked like he was going to say something rude, but the woman hurriedly stopped him. "In the kitchen. Third shelf to the right of the sink."
"Oi, Yang!" Harry called out. "You might want to grab some chocolate. It helps with Dementor exposure.'' Yang smiled and nodded before walking off. Ruby looked over at Neo, standing by the doorway with her arms crossed. Frowning, Ruby motioned her head to where Yang was going. Neo rolled her eyes but obeyed the silent command. "Where did your friend go?" Harry asked.
"She went to help Yang. Neo isn't a friend; more like an associate. Now, what can you tell me about those Dementors?"
"They are the nastiest creatures that walk this earth." Harry solemnly explained. "They leave nothing but decay and despair in their wake. Get too close to one and every happy moment you've ever had vanishes. That's not even the worst of it. They have a power called the Kiss, which they use to suck out your soul and leave you in nothing more than a vegetative state."
Ruby was shocked. "Why doesn't anyone get rid of them?"
"Until recently we thought it was impossible to kill them. The only known defense is the Patronus Charm: a shield formed by happy memories. Besides, it's not up to me. The Ministry of Magic uses them as wardens at a highly guarded prison. That's usually where they stay."
"So you were attacked by some soul-eating prison guards? What sicko would send something like that to an innocent person?!"
#
Meanwhile at the Ministry of Magic.
A toad-like woman dressed in pink was deep in thought "So far my spies in the Improper Use of Magic Office have reported no magic in Little Whigging; so the Potter brat must've been kissed." She snickered. "He should've known better. This is what happens to those that speak out against the Ministry." Suddenly she frowned. "Then again, the Dementors have not returned yet. Did they decide to have a snack on their way back? Oh well, not my problem. So what if a few muggles got kissed? It's not like anyone important will care. But, just in case Dumbledore and any of his band of fools come sniffing around, I have evidence pointing to some half-blood in the Regulation of Magical Creatures Department. Now, what to pack for Hogwarts?"

Number four Privet Drive.
Yang tried to ignore Neo while looking through the kitchen drawers for the First Aid kit. When she found it and grabbed it, she looked over and saw Neo with a shocked expression.
"Neo? What are you-" Before Yang could finish, Neo grabbed Yang and placed her hand over Yang's mouth.
"Will you keep it down blondie? I've got a bad feeling about this place." Neo thought.
"What do you mean?"
"Something's fishy in this house. I noticed Potter seems agitated being here. Why should he be agitated in his own home? the most suspicious thing is that two of his relatives don't even seem to care about him being injured! Their son on the other hand only had some bruises! Doesn't that seem weird to you?"
"Aw!" Yang teased. "You've only been with us for a few hours and you've grown a conscience!"
Neo rolled her eyes. "Focus Yang! I don't care about Potter. I just notice these things. Don't you know it is a big no-no in the criminal underworld to hurt kids?"
"Didn't you try to turn Oscar into a shish kebab?"
"One; you hunters are always getting yourself into danger. And two, Oscar? Isn't he the one that's currently hosting your old headmaster's soul? And isn't he the one that might have a crush on your sister? You gotta ask yourself Blondie: do you want Red possibly dating someone that has an old man's soul acting as a third wheel in his own body?" Neo grabbed the chocolate from the kitchen table and walked out.
Yang called after her, grabbing the First Aid kit before she followed the girl. As the girls headed back to the living room they heard Potter's relatives talking in another room. Neo motioned for Yang to stop and listen.
"I don't care what that crackpot says." The uncle spat. "That boy is not staying here anymore. He and the rest of his freaky American girlfriends can do whatever they want away from us!" He shouted. as the entire house heard him, Ruby gave a disgusted look at the door they were in, while Harry just looked bored. Poor guy was probably used to this.
The aunt protested. "But Vernon, he said as long as we keep the boy here these wards will keep us safe."
"Well, they've been saying that this dark freak, whoever he is, is back so we might already be in danger."
Vernon was about to say more but he was interrupted by Petunia. "Listen, when those-"
As the girls were listening to what they were saying, Neo saw Yang's eyes turn red and her hair start to smoke. Before Yang could go in there and give them a piece of her mind, Neo grabbed her and pulled her into the hallway. "Easy Blondie. As much as I would love for you to turn those two into real-life Rock-'em sock-'em paladins, now is not the time."
"But you were right!" Yang protested. "You heard what they called us!"
"It's not that simple. Look around! They have money, so they probably have enough to keep people quiet. And, in most cases, unless the perps are caught red-handed bad guys like them can get away with doing things like that." Yang just shook her head, took the chocolate from Neo, and left. Neo huffed. "You can't get worked up about this just because you were in the same place once, Trivia." She breathed in and out to stop herself from gutting those pieces of filth. Suddenly, she caught a faint smell coming from a closet under the staircase.
As his relatives came back into the room, Harry and Ruby were talking about the Dementors. Ruby asked who had the power to send the Dementors here. Harry's first thought was of Voldemort. Then again, he seemed like the type of person to do it himself. Harry glanced over at his angry relatives. "As soon as the girls leave," Harry thought. "my time here is going to be a lot more miserable." Yang came into the living room with a few bars of chocolate and the kit. As she came in, she glared at Harry's relatives. She must have heard them talking.
"Hey, sis!" Ruby called Yang. "The creatures that attacked Harry and Dudley were soul-sucking prison guards."
"Ruby, we fight monsters that want to exterminate humanity all the time. This isn't anything new." Yang rolled her eyes. "But did you say they were prison guards?"
"Yes," Harry answered as Ruby took the kit and looked through it.
"It seems like someone high up might've sent them to you." Yang eyed Harry's aunt and uncle.
Ruby found some pads and bandage wrappings before sitting next to him. "You know I can do this myself right," Harry asked, but then sighed upon looking at Ruby's disappointed silver orbs. He gave in to the angel in red. "Fine, you can patch me up." As Ruby got to work on patching him up, Harry looked over at Yang who was still glaring at his relatives.
"You know, from hearing about these creatures, your boys are lucky to be alive. Usually, parents say thank you when someone helps their kids."
Vernon turned a shade of purple "Thank you for saving my son." He grumbled out.
"And Harry?" Yang's question was incredibly sardonic.
"My sister's son," Petunia said with a sneer. "He's a bit of a troubled child, constantly causing trouble. And a bit disturbed if I may say."
Ruby looked shocked at someone insulting their own family. "Well, he seems like a fine young man to me." Ruby stuck up for Harry. "He's just gone through a lot! If any of what he has been through happened to me, I would need my family more than ever." Ruby's judging eyes cut right through Petunia.
Before Petunia could respond in kind, Neo walked into the living room with a nasty sneer. "Wow, you people are a piece of work."
"What are you talking about, girl?" Vernon angrily asked. "We are upstanding citizens. Nice and normal people. Not at all like your kind! Bloody wild Americans!"
Neo simply snorted. "Yeah, right. Then what's with the old mattresses that are in the closet under the stairs? One of them has a few stains that might cause some questions if we went to the proper people." She answered without moving her lips.
Harry didn't know what terrified Vernon more; the exposure of his abuse to Harry or the fact that someone talked without moving their lips. "Boy!" Vernon thundered. "How dare you bring more freaks into this house! Why I outta-"
Yang got between Harry and his enraged uncle. Harry couldn't help but notice her eyes turn red and her hair started to glow. Her left hand made a fist and her bracelets turned into some type of gauntlet "Go on!" Yang yelled. "Tell us what were you going to do! You practically confessed to abusing Harry! Adding in the mattress as proof, and you are done! Tell us the TRUTH!" When she yelled "truth", her eyes flashed gold.
Harry noticed Vernon's eyes flash the same color. "The brat deserved it." Vernon said in a vocoder voice "We tried beating his freaky powers out of him, but that didn't work. The only reason we moved him out of the cupboard was so the older freaks won't catch on now and cause us trouble. Now this Dark Lord, whoever he is, wants to kill the boy. Well, he can have him. Kill him and all of the freaks like him." Before he could continue Yang hoisted him up by the throat with her flesh arm. Petunia shrilly screamed in terror.
"You, sir, are hilarious. Now, let me show you the punchline." Yang was more than ready to slam her metal fist into his face.
"Yang, leave him," Ruby commanded with a cold look. "He's not worth getting in trouble for. Let the local authorities deal with him."
"You're lucky my sister has a heart or you'd be missing your jaw, punk." Yang spat as she released a gasping Vernon. The smell of pee permeated the room. "Plus, I don't want to get Ember Celica here dirty." She then turned to the aunt. "What about you, huh? Why didn't you stop him from hurting your nephew?"
"I have nothing to say to you brutes!" Petunia spat out.
"Be "honest", now!" Yang commanded. Her eyes flashed gold and then Petunia's did the same.
"I didn't see the need to. He's not my child. I lost my sister a long time ago; ever since she met that boy in the park and he told her she had magic. After her Fifth year, that same boy that introduced her to their world used a slur word for people like her. It broke her heart but she still went back and got herself killed." Petunia looked over at Harry. "As far as I'm concerned there is a poison that runs in your veins and it took my sister away from me, and it almost took my son tonight. As long as you have it, you will never be family to me!"
A sound eerily similar to ice breaking and a sound like glass shattering happened outside. Ruby and Harry got up to look outside, they saw there was a burn-like mark around the house. "The protection charm just broke!" Harry realized. Before anything could be done, a sudden smack echoed from behind the girls and Harry. They turned around and saw Neo, with her trust parasol in hand, standing above an unconscious Vernon. Petunia was too frightened to scream for her husband.
"Yang and I keep an eye on these two. Harry, only grab your most important things. Red, go help your boyfriend pack because there is no way he is staying here anymore."
"We are not dating!" Ruby and Harry yelled at the same time. Both of them turned the same shade of red as Ruby's cloak before running upstairs.
"Don't stay up there too long you love birds!" Yang yelled to the retreating couple.
Harry heard Ruby mumble, "Whose side are you on sis?"
Quickly, Harry and Ruby ran up to his room. Grabbing one of his cousin's old book bags, and a beanie for Blake to use in public, he quickly started thrusting his clothes in.
Only to be interrupted by a hoot from Hedwig. Looking over to see what was fussing about, the owl flew over to Ruby and landed on her shoulder. Ruby looked nervous. Just as Harry was about to separate them Hedwig started to preen Ruby's hair; making her giggle.
Harry suddenly remembered a piece of advice Hagrid gave him. "Animals have a good judgment of character. If they don't like someone, don't trust the human."
Looking over at his desk, Harry quickly wrote a letter to his godfather, Sirius. {Padfoot I can't stay with the Dursleys. I've made new friends that I trust. We'll talk soon. Harry.} Harry folded it up and separated Hedwig from Ruby to give the note to the owl. As she flew off into the night, Harry looked down and saw some human-like shadows across the street.
As soon as Harry saw them he grabbed his bag, trunk, and Ruby's hand. "We've got to go now!" They hurried downstairs. As they reached Yang and Neo, the front door doorknob glowed and it slowly opened.
Ruby grabbed Harry's and Neo's arms and her sister's by the shoulder before bursting into red petals and speeding out the back door.
