Ochaco sighed tiredly as she examined the results of her effort. The small kitchen-dining room of her apartment only had an oven and a stove, but it wasn't size, it was how you used it.

The kitchen.

She was talking about the kitchen.

'Anyway!' She grinned as she examined the food she had cooked up. She could have just bought takeaway, but that was more expensive! No, she could make a pizza, so why wouldn't she? That costed less than ordering it, and with the remaining flour she could cook something more! She was eyeing a field rich in grasshoppers near UA for a while now, and Todoroki did like those well enough…

She shook her head. No, either way, for now two pizzas and soda would be enough. It wasn't the fancy pansy dancy restaurant Shoto had brought her at before, but it would do. She pulled out her small table, setting it down in the center of the 'dining room', and then sat down on a pillow, preparing another for Shoto. She took in the room.

Old walls covered in water stains. A small fridge that sometimes started to click ominously for reasons beyond Ocacho's understanding. A chipped table with shaky legs. A pair of patched up pillows. A small tv so old it still had an antenna on top, resting on a cardboard box.

'Why did I invite him to my apartment?! This place is so depressing!' She slammed her hands on her face, 'I know this is a goodbye apartment dinner between friends but come on Ochaco!'

She sighed. "Ugh, whatever, at this point I can't exactly call it off. I'll just change and get done with it. It's just a dinner with a friend, nothing too overboard."

-x-

Shoto was sitting in his bedroom as a pair of ominous entities went through his wardrobe. The pair was grabbing one outfit after another, comparing colors, tossing aside some that Shoto didn't even realize he still owned that had become too small to fit him even at a glance, and kept fighting over what he was going to put on.

Those two entities were his siblings.

"I told you Natsu, he can't go so elegant! It's a comfy date in her apartment!" Fuyumi shouted, ripping the suit Natsuo was waving in front of her from his brother's hands and putting it back in the closet.

"Well he can't show up with a shirt that reads 't-shirt' on it!"

"It's funny!"

"No one thinks that's funny!"

"Well I do!"

-x-

Izuku froze a moment, as he prepared to walk in the shower.

Was that vindication he was feeling?

-x-

"Sis, you choose to live with dad, I'm not sure we can trust your judgment."

"Oooh, low blow Natsu." Fuyumi said, sighing and putting the t-shirt aside.

"Maybe I can hel-" Their father started, only for Fuyumi to make a spray bottle appear out of nowhere and spraying him out of the room. "Nevermind…" The man said in defeat.

Fuyumi shook her head and turned to look at a button-up azure shirt. Shoto saw his brother's eyes also travel to it, and then the two looked at each other. "That one?" Natsuo asked.

"Yup."

"That's the shirt I wanted to put on in the first place." Shoto replied, but the two ignored him as they jumped in to look at the pants. He sighed. He wasn't sure why this was such a big deal. Even if his not-heart attacks were proof he had a crush on Ochaco, did it really make sense for him to spend so much time deciding on clothing?

He sighed, and waited. It took ten more minutes until he was finally dressed with his shirt, a white t-shirt underneath, and black pants. He even had to show them his shoes so they could make sure they were clean. Which they were, Shoto had been sure already.

"Alright Shoto. We already got a couple gifts ready." Fuyumi said.

"Which means Fuyumi has been cooking all day."

"Come on, it's not that much food…" Fuyumi said.

Natsu had a coughing episode that sounded worryingly like 'Bullshit'. Shoto patted his back, Natsuo just chuckling as Fuyumi pouted at him.

"It's not! I just made a cake, a lot of mochi, prepared a basket of fruit because that girl needs to eat a more balanced diet…" She blushed a bit at the look Natsuo sent her "A-And anyway it's all supplements for their dinner, I made sure that the food she gets will still be the center of attention."

Natsu sighed, and Shoto walked out of the room, leaving the two to talk some more. He still had about ten minutes before he left. As he walked out, though, he noticed a bouquet of blue flower resting near the door, next to a piece of paper. He took up the paper, curious.

"Shooooooto- Why did he write it like that – I prepared this bouquet of your mother's favorite flowers. As you might have noticed, I support your relationship with Ochaco Uraraka, as she seems to have broken you out of your foolish rebellion-" Todoroki frowned. He thought Uraraka was the only reason he was stopping? He shook his head, "And because you appear happier, recently." He paused again. That was… A surprising comment from his old man. "So long as your results at school remain consistent, I believe that your frequentation with Uraraka should continue."

Todoroki sighed. Well, that was about as supportive as Enji Todoroki could be, he supposed. It could have gone a lot worse, if the old man thought that Uraraka was a 'negative influence' on him.

"P.S. The second page of this paper is about the possible Quirks that might result from your- Fuyumiiii!"

"What?!"

"Dad did the eugenics thing again!"

"Daaaad!"

"It's not eugenics, it's being prepared!" Endeavor's voice shouted back. Fuyumi stomped out of Shoto's room, and Shoto heard the familiar sound of the spray bottle going off.

Shoto really loved his sister.

He set the paper on fire, then picked up the flowers. He'd normally loathe the idea of taking his dad's suggestion, but if those were his mom's favorite flowers… Well he supposed they'd make a good gift.

Jiro wasn't sure of what she was supposed to do now. Tsuyu, who had convinced her to do this, was now chatting with Habuko Mongoose, her middle school best friend with serpentine features. The girl had tagged along, Tsuyu clearly agreeing so she would interact with Momo while the two old friend chatted.

'Alright Jiro. Interacting. It's easy. You do that all the time. Just act like you do with Pony.' "So yeah, uhm, do you think the boss is pulling all that stuff out of his ass or he has an actual plan?" She asked, before her brain screeched to a halt. 'Goddammit Jiro, not exactly like with Pony!'

"The boss?" Momo frowned, "Oh, that's what you call Midoriya, right? I heard you and Pony say that." She paused, "Why do you do that actually?"

"Ah, it's because…" She looked frantically for an excuse, and finally something came to mind. "Well, Midoriya is super charismatic, you know?"

"Well… Yes, I can see that, I suppose. His Sports Festival speech was very inspiring, he has been an excellent Class Representatives so far and… Well, everything about Valiant." She hummed, "So it was already noticeable before UA?"

"I feel like Midoriya was always destined to lead." Jiro replied.

"You think so?"

"Yep. Whatever path in life he chose, I think Midoriya was bound to find others follow him." Jiro replied.

"I see." Momo smiled, "It sounds like you admire him."

Jiro frowned. Well, she did. For all that the boss was clearly guessing most of the time, he wasn't doing a bad job. No, scratch that, he was actually doing an amazing job. How many Yakuza can say they are famous Heroes-in-training respected all over Japan, have managed to get their cousin out of Tartarus, and have won the UA Sports Festival, all before their sixteenth birthday? Was it really important that at least a part of that was not planned, when it had worked out so well? Not in Jiro's opinion, considering that luck didn't really prepare you for the results of it. The fact alone that Midoriya wasn't getting crushed under the pressure proved he was doing a good job.

Unless this was all a plan. In that case it was impressive for the completely opposite reason.

Not that she believed Hiryu Rin's crazy theories.

Absolutely not.

But maybe…

"Yeah, the boss is pretty great." Jiro finally replied.

"He sounds it." Momo replied with a chuckle, "I'm kinda sad I didn't get closer to Midoriya now. He seems inspiring. Himiko also spends a lot of time talking about him. She is really in love."

"I'm sure he'd be happy to have you as a friend." Jiro replied, picking up a glass of water.

"I'm sure he would be." She smiled, and Jiro felt herself blush, quickly turning away.

"Say, Yaomomo," She finally asked, "I was wondering…" 'Something not work related, something not work related…' "What kind of music do you like?"

"Oh." Yaoyorozu blinked, "Well, I really enjoy classical music and string orchestra. I particularly enjoy some of the more… I suppose you could say modern composition. I really suggest as a good piece Palladio by Jenkins. The first movement is really enjoyable. Though, going back in time, I suppose Vivaldi's four seasons are also a great piece."

"Oh, that? My mom wrote a few songs based on the Four Seasons for the theme of some anime…"

"Wait… Is that by any chance the Troubles of a Tender Heart OST?"

"… I think so, yes? I'm not big into anime so I never checked-" She stopped as Momo was now looking at her with sparkles in her eyes.

"Oh my gosh! That's my favorite anime. The OST is an amazing mix of pop music and classical, and your mother composed it?!"

"W-Well, she didn't do it alone, and I'm not even sure she is credited rather than crediting her studio…"

"That's still amazing! You said she composed something based on the Four Seasons, so did she write the Winter Snow OST? That one has clear inspirations from the third movement of 'Winter'."

"I- Uh- I can ask-"

"Please! I'd love to know more." Momo said, now having moved closer. Jiro couldn't help but blush a bit, given how close the two now were, basically eye to eye even as Jiro was forced to look up for it.

"I… Sure…" She said, staring in those beautiful black eyes and at that smiling, joyful face. Boy, this girl was beautiful, wasn't she? 'God I'm so happy mom got a musical career right now…'

"Thank you!" The girl said with a cheer. Jiro glanced at Tsuyu, who gave her a stealthy thumbs up.

Yup, operation 'Get Closer to Yaoyorozu': success.

Ochaco blinked, trying to process the sight of Todoroki walking in with a large bouquet of blue flowers he then handed her. "For you." He said.

stopped working, rebooted, saw the flowers again, crashed again, visualized a message informing the user that maybe they should look for technical support, rebooted again, and finally managed to speak.

"Eh?"

Well, it did just reboot.

"It's a bouquet for you." Todoroki replied, completely missing all of this because he was Todoroki. She finally awkwardly managed to grab it, smelling the flowers as her face turned bright red. "It really fits you." Todoroki stated, making her blush even more.

Ochaco felt ready to punch him to stop him from embarrassing her any longer, but before she could decide if a hit in the solar plexus would send him down, Todoroki moved back and returned carrying some food containers. "My sister also sent a few things."

"O-Oh! She didn't have to-"

"She made mochi."

"I love your sister, Todoroki." Ochaco instantly replied. Besides the mochi, there were also a cake, some handmade sweets, and a basket of fruit. "Wow, this is a lot."

"She said this will accompany your food well but without stealing your thunder." Todoroki replied, and Ochaco smiled. How thoughtful of her.

"W-Well, I have made a pizza. My mom learned how to do it and then passed the recipe to me!" Ochaco said, deciding to pretend she hadn't made it because ordering would be more expensive. "I made a few different toppings, since I don't know what you like."

"Thank you." Todoroki said, as she led him in and let him sit on one of the pillows around the dinner table. Ochaco sighed as she put the bouquet down on her bed, deciding she would find a vase of some kind later, before walking back out.

"I'm back!" She said loudly, "So, want to eat?"

Todoroki nodded, and Ochaco really hoped this dat- friendly dinner would go well.

-x-

"… Ochaco and Todoroki, really?" Izuku asked.

"Mh, she probably hasn't even noticed." Himiko said leaning against her boyfriend. She almost felt the need to purr like a cat as he casually, and probably without thinking, put his arm around her waist so she would sit more comfortably. They were sitting side by side in a restaurant/café Izuku had chosen mostly because it was Hero-themed. So adorably dorky, but she liked the place. It was almost empty, save for a dozen or so costumers all intent on their dinners. With their table isolated on the side, Himiko and Izuku could enjoy some privacy, and with their back turned from the door, hopefully no one would recognize Valiant.

"So why do you think that's likely?"

"Because, Izuku, I am an expert in the matters of love. Especially when the other side is incredibly dense."

Izuku blushed, scratching his cheek. "W-Well, it's not like I could just confess instantly, right?"

"You should have confessed during one of our dates." Himiko replied, teasingly poking his other cheek. "Instead you forced a poor maiden to do that for you." She pretended to pout, and Izuku's almost scared face made her giggle. "I guess you need to be punished."

"P-P-" She dragged him into a kiss, which after a moment he returned. Himiko felt herself blush.

"Your punishment is getting more kisses and seeing how far I can take your blush before you just turn red permanently."

"I-I'm not sure that's a punishment…"

"That's the spirit." Himiko replied, leaning in for yet another kiss, Izuku's arm tightening a bit around her waist. God, she loved Izuku so much…

So much…

A new taste sipped in, blood unlike any she had ever drank before, a heavenly texture and flavor that… Himiko's eyes went wide and she instantly stepped back as Izuku winced. She had bitten his lip, clearly, her fang stabbing it deeply enough that it drew blood. "A-Ah, I-" She stammered, feeling the urge to run, or at least slide back, but Izuku's arm around her waist held her in place.

"No, Himiko, it's alright-"

"Izuku, I just bit you, that's not 'alright'." She replied, "It's not… normal…"

"Himiko." Izuku was the one that moved closer now, "You were honest with me. You told me about your needs. I'm aware it can happen, and I won't hold it against you."

Himiko felt her love reach a new spike, and grabbed the thermos she carried with her, downing more blood. The taste was dull and uninteresting compared to the delicious blood she had just sipped, but it did the job. "Is it bad?" Izuku asked.

"You are too adorable, Izuku. If you keep going like this, one day I will drain you completely." She said, taking a deep breath and leaning in again, her head resting against his shoulder.

"I trust you, Himiko." Izuku said, "If it ever gets that bad, I will be there for you. To help you."

She felt her heart beat faster again, and kissed him again, though this time only on the cheek. Izuku blushed again – or maybe he had never stopped – and she grinned, feeling the atmosphere resettle to normal. She grinned, and pushed on. "Oh my," She said, a teasing tone, "You will be there for me?"

"Yes."

"As I… drain you?"

"Yes?" Izuku asked.

Himiko leaned in, her smile turned into a smirk, "How valiant of you. Or perhaps you are thinking Carmilla means something else when she says drain?" She asked, resting a hand on his leg, nowhere in particular and nowhere near that area, but knowing that would be enough.

Izuku's head exploded in the reddest red Himiko had ever seen, and she couldn't help but chuckle.

God, she really loved him.

'And yet I'm still lying to him.' She thought. Izuku loved Himiko Shigaraki, the still innocent daughter of a crime boss. He was fine with that, but… Well, what would he think of Himiko Toga? Of the girl that killed five people and assaulted a dozen more for their blood?

She shivered, and in response Izuku's arm around her waist closed more tightly, trying to comfort her, probably thinking she was still upset about her bite from before.

He didn't need to know, she decided. Himiko Toga was dead. Himiko Shigaraki had killed her. No one cared about Toga anyway.

She definitely didn't.

"Look at them, so lovey dovey." Saiko hissed from her table, positioned in a way that prevented Shimura and Valiant from seeing her.

"They are really adorable." Sekigai replied. Saiko glared at her, "What? It's the truth."

"We are love rivals, we aren't supposed to find them adorable."

"Well, then they shouldn't be that adorable." Sekigai countered. Saiko grumbled something but annoyingly couldn't find it in herself to disagree.

'Just watch, Shimura. I'm going to find proof I'm the better choice for Valiant.' Saiko thought.

-x-

'This is stupid.' Tooru thought, unable to relax. She was sitting in front of her boyfriend, Masutaro smiling and telling her about the latest story from Kaminari and Mineta. Apparently, Kaminari had hit it off with a girl from Seiai and had arranged a group date for the Seiai girls, himself and Mineta.

Normally, Tooru would have been all about joking with Masutaro about how likely they were at succeeding – and her answer was that Mineta had to put forward his best behavior or the date would end really quickly – but she didn't feel in the mood because her mind kept rushing back to what she had seen earlier.

What was Utsushimi doing with Masutaro. Why were they in that position? They were close to each other, staring at one another. What would have happened if Edgeshot hadn't interrupted them?

She trusted Masutaro. She really, really did. But what was she supposed to think? Masutaro said Utsushimi thought he was someone she knew, but hadn't really given any detail. How was that realistic? But at the same time, she didn't want to cause trouble. She didn't think Masutaro would cheat on her. Would he? Tooru didn't know a lot about him, thinking about it. She had jumped into the relationship a month after school begun, and it had only been a month and a half since. Was she supposed to just ask? Or would it sound like she had trust issues?

She had tried to ask her only friend that had past relationships, of course. A glance to her phone though, told her the whole replied. The message from Poe's Number One Fan read 'Sorry, the boss is on a date with Reiko and I promised to stay quiet and see if they can try again.'

Stupid children that didn't have time to help their dad.

"Tooru?" A hand touched hers, and she looked down to see Masutaro had put his hand over it, "Are you ok? You have been silent for most of the dinner."

Tooru wanted to answer, but her eyes were fixated on his hand. He had found her, just like that. Even her mom and dad sometimes missed, accidentally grabbing air. Was that luck? Or did he actually manage to figure out where her hand was. She didn't know, but she knew that was a reason why she loved him. "Masutaro."

"Y-Yes?"

"Can you… tell me more about yourself?" Tooru asked.

If she really loved him, she needed to know him.

Mustard wanted to disappear. 'Oh, I'm an aspiring Villain that joined the League and was adopted by All for One – the apparent Symbol of Evil that no one knows because he is a secret – and then sent to UA to be the bodyguard of his daughter.' He thought, 'Yeah, that would do?'

He wasn't sure what he was supposed to answer, though. He had a made up story, was he supposed to just parrot that? "I… What do you mean?"

"W-Well, I was thinking… I know you from high school, but what was your life like before. I know you have a single father, but do you have siblings? Where did you go in middle school? I… Just want to learn more about you." She paused, then quickly added, "Oh, of course you can ask about me!"

Mustard nodded. Of course, she would want to know more. He figured what he had told her so far was what she would be interested in, but he supposed there would be a lot more in his past that she would be curious about.

"I… Well, I changed school a lot." He started. "I originally lived in Kansai, in a town near Osaka. That's where I went to middle school at firs."

"Oh." Tooru nodded, "And then?"

"Well, then I moved to Yokohama. There was a work opportunity for my dad there, see, and so he agreed to work for a new boss there."

Tooru nodded. "What's the job like?"

"Well, he is mostly a chauffeur, but I'd describe it more as a personal assistant for his boss." Mustard replied, "He has to do all kind of things."

"Sounds important."

"Not as much as one would think." He replied. "What about your family?"

"Well, mom and dad both work normal jobs, you know? Office work can be boring, but they say…"

They fell into a normal conversation after that. Mustard did his best to answer her questions, and he felt Tooru was brightening up a bit as he gave her a false or incomplete story after another. He couldn't see her face, but her demeanor, her tone, her movements… he could tell she was happier.

"I've always wanted to be a Hero." Mustard said, "So of course, when Izukun and Himiko both decided to join UA, I did my best to follow them."

If only he wasn't making her happier by lying again and again.

"I just always wanted to take down Villains, I guess…"

If only it didn't feel like he could never tell the truth.

-x-

"Your sister is such an amazing cook, Todoroki…" Ochaco hummed as the last mochi vanished in her mouth, the divine taste making her smile.

"Fuyumi is really good. But your pizza was great too. I never tried one, but now I think I should have."

Uraraka smiled proudly. "That's right, I'm not only good at making traditional meals. I'll have you know, I can even make some excellent Chinese rice."

" you know how to make Soba?" Todoroki asked.

"Yep."

"Cold soba too?"

"Sure. Hot and cold, my mom always said you should know how to cook, since it saves a lot of money."

Todoroki smiled, "You are really talented, Uraraka."

She was glad she had already eaten her last mochi, otherwise it would be a repeat of the last time she had been hit by one of Todoroki's killer compliments: her choking and him hugging her from behind- No, bad brain, there is nothing sexy about choking.

'Depends on the kind of choking- Goddammit!' Ochaco shouted mentally to push away the thought. She was definitely spending way too much time with Himiko and Mina. Himiko in particular was a thirsty, thirsty girl. Ochaco was a bit worried for Midoriya. "Uhm, so, Todoroki, what do we do with the rest of the food?"

"Well, Fuyumi said you can keep it." Todoroki replied.

"Right, right." She looked at the half of cake she would have to eat by herself, and at the basket of delicious fruits, "Your sister really is amazing, but if you want to take a bit of cake, it's probably for the best. I don't want to eat too much. I mean, I'm already chubby…"

"No, I think you look beautiful." Todoroki replied, and Ochaco couldn't help but loudly gasp as she turned red. Todoroki paused, "Uhm, did I say something weird?"

"N-No, just… Uhm…" She shook her head. Right, Todoroki was just being nice. She shouldn't have thought otherwise. But she was starting to get a bit too flustered. 'Alright, Ochaco, let's just go with something to defuse the situation.' "Oh, right, I already showed you my house before, but want to check it out again? I've already packed almost everything." Yeah, a tour of an apartment with three rooms bathroom included. Brilliant Ochaco. Of course, he would never agree. Well, she could use that as an excuse to at least stand up-

"Sure." Todoroki replied.

'Why did you agreeeeee?!' "Uhm, alright then." She chuckled weekly and stood up, leading him to the two other doors in her apartment. "Well, here is the bathroom…" She opened the first door, showing an almost empty bathroom.

Almost because her eyes trailed instantly toward the bra and panties she had prepared to change into the following day. She slammed the door closed so fast that she hit her own face with it. "Owwwww…"

"Are you alright?" Todoroki asked.

"Y-Yeah, just… I made a small mistake, that's all." She coughed in her fist, "Alright, next, my bedroom." She opened the other door. Thankfully, this one was nothing embarrassing. Just her bedroom, a handful of cardboard boxes of various sizes on the floor, her bed with the flowers on it, and the window. She smiled. "I'll kinda miss this."

"Why?"

"Well…" She paused, "I don't know, I was living alone you know? First time away from home. The dorms will be fun, but they won't really be the same, right?" Shoto hummed, and she sighed. "Also, I'll miss the view out of the window. It was the one good thing about this apartment."

"Can I see?" Todoroki asked, curious. Ochaco nodded.

"Sure, follow me, and just watch out for the box-" Her foot hit a box. Ochaco had a second to try and correct her fall, and as she did Todoroki tried to grab her hand to help her up. Unfortunately, the box Ochaco had just kicked decided to take it upon itself to slide against his feet, which led to him also falling forward.

Ochaco landed on her back, on her bed, right on the bouquet, blue flowers flying everywhere. And Todoroki landed with both hands forward. She wasn't sure how it was physically possible, because that was an awful lot of coincidental movements, but as she looked up she found herself staring in Todoroki's dual colored eyes and the question slipped out of her mind.

-x-

Todoroki wasn't sure of what was going on. One moment he was trying to help Uraraka not fall, the next they were both falling toward the bed, and the moment after that he was looking at the girl's brown eyes, blue flowers scattered everywhere around them.

Uraraka's face was blushing wildly, and he felt his heart thump in his chest like a drum. Normally, he'd have question it, but he had long accepted he had a crush and that was his body telling him that. But this beat… It was nice and yet painful. He wasn't sure how to handle it. His eyes seemed glued on Uraraka, travelling over every inch of her face, fixating on small details, from the slightly darker tone of her cheeks even as she blushed, to the deep brown of her eyes, to the strands of brown hair that rested on his left hand, the closest to her face.

His ears were filled by their labored breaths as they both couldn't help but feel each other's presence, losing each other in one another's eyes. Or maybe that was just what his brain was telling him was happening, because while Todoroki and Ochaco were both panting they were frozen in place. He felt heat creep to both sides of his face for once and almost mechanically leaned forward, not even sure of what he was doing. Was he trying to kiss? Was he just going to ask if she was ok? Why wasn't he standing up?

Ochaco didn't move, just looking in his eyes, as Shoto leaned closer, almost lost in the moment, not knowing how he was supposed to act, not knowing what he was supposed to do. Was he in love with Ochaco Uraraka? Was it a simple crush? Did she return the feeling, or was she just too weirded out to say anything? Was he imposing? Was she happy about it?

He didn't know what he was doing, but they were now face to face, close enough they could feel each other's breath on their faces.

"Ahem."

They both froze at the sound of a throat clearing, and slowly turned toward the door.

"Oh dear." Uraraka's mother said, holding what looked like the box for a cake. "Uhm, we might have interrupted something dear."

Uraraka's dad was glaring at him in a way Shoto had never seen before. For some reason, the image of a shotgun came to his mind.

Romance was truly bizarre, he thought.

"It's not what it looks like!" Uraraka shouted from underneath him. His parents didn't seem to believe her.

Yeah, truly bizarre.

(XX)

It really is Todoroki, it really is.

And this concludes Operation Dual Wielding. It took a while to finish but it was a fun arc to write, especially for the Aftercare. Who will win the battle for Bakugo and Momo's heart? How will Himiko and Izuku's relationship evolve? What will the Dual Wielders do to gain points over Himiko? Will Kaminari and Mineta score? Will Todoroki be shot by Uraraka's dad?

So many questions that will be answered.
Eventually.

On another note I'm really sorry for the long delay between chapters. I enjoy writing my fics but the last few months have been wild. That should be over now but you never know.
