When Hailey shows up at their new crime scene with Voight, no one blinks an eye.

Voight did say that he would take her home, so they also assume that since Hailey's car is still at the office, Voight picked her up and brought her along.

"How are you feeling?" Burgess asks as Hailey and her is canvasing the area.

"I'm ok, it's just a scratch." Hailey gestures to the cut on her forehead.

"So, what happened? You weren't feeling well?" Burgess pushes for more information.

"I was feeling a bit lightheaded." Hailey gives as little details as possible.

"Just a bit lightheaded and you pass out?" Burgess keeps on pushing. "We couldn't even get you to wake up until you got a drip at the hospital."

Hailey is just about to turn the situation around onto Burgess about her behavior as of late but before she can Voight shows up.

"What did you find?" Voight suddenly appears behind Burgess and stops her interrogation dead in its tracks.

Hailey gives a quick glance at Voight, silently thanking him for getting Burgess off the subject. Hopefully, she does not pick this up again later.

After they were done working the scene, Voight and Atwater went to speak to a person of interest, Burgess and Torres went to look for a suspect and Voight sent Hailey back to the office with Adam.

"You're alright?" After some silence in the car, Adam eventually speaks.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Hailey's tone has some annoyance in it as she knows where this conversation is going.

"You sure?" Adam also pushes the subject, just like Burgess.

Clearly Adam and Burgess have been discussing her.

"Adam, I am fine." Hailey looks at Adam and makes sure she gets her point across.

"Now you sound like Voight." Adam states as he glances over to her.

Hailey gives a slight pause and then she realizes that Voight is forever telling everyone that he is fine too.

Maybe she picked it up from him?

At the end of the day, they finished up with the case and Hailey then handed the final report to Voight in his office.

Voight then hands Hailey a key.

Hailey stares at it with slight confusion wondering what it is for.

"It's the key to my front door." Voight tells her as he sits back in his chair watching her.

"You do know that you are living with me?" Voight asks her but it sounds more like a rhetorical question.

"Yes." Hailey gives a slight pause before she answers, like she was thinking it over in her head.

"Meaning that if you are not there tonight, I will come looking for you." Voight's tone is as serious as can get.

"Of course, Sarge." Hailey knows that with all her heart. Voight will come looking for her.

With that Adam appears in the doorway with something he wants to ask Voight and with that Hailey leaves.

Walking away Hailey wonders just how long does Voight have in mind for her to stay if it requires her to have a key?

"You joining us for drinks?" Atwater asks as Hailey gets back to her desk.

Hailey stops and thinks about the question.

What if she goes and have drinks with the team and she ends up staying too late, is Voight going to come looking for her? Surely, he would phone her first, right?

Hailey must stop herself from shaking her head, now she is being ridiculous about the situation.

"I'll pass. I'm still feeling a bit dizzy." Hailey gestures to the cut on her forehead and passes that off as an excuse.

She honestly does not feel like drinking right now anyway.

Taking a seat, Hailey then sorts out the files on her desk, places everything neatly, sort of clean as thoughts go through her mind.

Going over to Voight's house as a guest was one thing, but staying there is different.

What exactly is expected of her?

If she gets there before he does, what is she supposed to do? Watch tv, sit on the couch or go to the room?

Or food. She can't be staying there and expect Voight to feed her. Maybe she should get take aways tonight? Should she check with Voight?

And out of the blue she thinks about Jay.

What would Jay say if he knew she was staying with Voight?

What would his reaction be?

Would he be upset?

She then recalls something that Jay said to her a long time ago about, getting too close to Voight can be a problem.

So, would Jay consider this a problem?

"Hailey, whatever it is that you are thinking about, you are over thinking it."

Voight's voice sounds from his office.

It is only then that Hailey realizes that she has been blankly staring at nothing. And then she also realizes that everyone has already left, and it is only her and Voight.

"Not thinking about anything Sarge." Hailey then moves a pile of files into the drawer behind her.

"I'm not convinced." Voight tells her as he steps out of his office and turns off the lights.

"Let's go." Voight tells her as he heads for the stairs.

And with that Hailey follows after him, out the office and all the way over to his house.

Voight then ends up cooking and after eating dinner, Hailey washes the dishes so that she does something other than nothing.

"I gave you a key so that you can come and go as you like. You don't have to turn down drinks with the team." Voight tells her as he packs the dishes away. Even though he was busy speaking with Adam, he still caught the short conversation she had with Atwater.

"I know. I just didn't feel like it." Hailey answers.

They then end up with coffee in front of the tv which seems to be a ritual.

After watching tv for a while, Hailey's mind has wondered to Jay again.

She is wondering what he is doing while she is sitting in Voight's house watching tv.

"Have you heard anything from Jay?" Without thinking about it, Hailey asks.

"Nothing, you?" Voight answers like he knows that it is a sore spot for Hailey.

"Nothing." Hailey whispers but Voight heard her.

Voight thinks about Jay.

He thinks about how close Jay and Erin came to be while Erin was still on the team. What would have happened if they got married? Would Jay have done the same thing with Erin like he did to Hailey? Just leave out of the blue and never be heard of again?

There is some silence.

"I phoned the base and talked to his CO. At least he is still alive." Hailey tells Voight, why, she does not know. She just wanted to share it with someone.

Voight is just about to ask her if it even matters whether he is still alive or not but decides to keep it to himself.

"Maybe it doesn't matter." Hailey whispers some time later like they have been having a whole discussion about it, even though not one word was spoken.

Voight looks over to Hailey.

Hailey gives Voight a quick glance and then she looks at the tv again.

Voight can tell that Hailey wants to talk about it, but at the same time she doesn't want to talk about it.

He wants to tell her to move on from Jay as quickly as possible. Nobody that truly loves someone does something like this to them. He never would have dreamed of doing something like this to Camille.

Jay and Hailey getting married was a mistake.

But this is Voight's opinion, and he keeps it to himself.

Voight looks back to the tv.

"What do you think happens at the end of this episode?" Voight asks, trying to get Hailey's mind off Jay.

"He just going to kill again." Hailey answers like she already figured it out in her head.

After discussing the program for a while until Hailey's mind was off Jay, or at least so Voight hoped, they then called it a night.
