Valentine P.O.V.

New York City

'I do hope those gifts reach their destination... safely, though I suppose, I shouldn't worry too much about it, the one delivering them always keeps to his word no matter what occurs.'

He walked along the side walk as he intended to keep his promise to Maria, they left the train before he had and already got a head start on the track to the rendezvous point. He had to get some of his personal agents to help Maria take Diego to the premises that the rendezvous was set to be at.

'I'm quite thankful that they never asked why Diego was in my care, as well as where he's been for the past weeks. It'd take a bit to convince them that he just wished to stay out of the public eye. After all he's always been quite attracted to his publicity and public image.'

As he walked the gust of the cool wind's breeze revitalized him in a sense, causing him to pick up his pace. He already had D.4.C. keep it's ever watchful gaze on the surroundings just in case someone had decided to start some form of a scuffle. New York City has recently been going down the drain somewhat, with all the criminals and other less... reputable professions that have been becoming the craze the past month.

'Add onto that the vile wretch's that could come from the fore at any moment now. The debauchery that's abundant within this city is bound to drag all manner of atrocious monsters no matter whether they are within plain sight or hidden behind a masque that they carefully fabricate for themselves. Yet there's still bound to be a much greater threat from the possible creatures that this Ainz could still have within his faction. If vampires are things he has at his beck and call, there's bound to be more than just them.'

As soon as those noises echoed throughout the street that he was treading his stand activated it's ability immediately and soon he was upon the top of the building that he was just passing. It was already Ten O clock at night just two hours before midnight. He had taken this route since he knew none came this way normally, it was a more run down area of Manhattan that was being renovated currently for some salons and shopping districts.

So it was quite strange to hear the resounding clacking of hard boot heels upon the cement that created the sidewalks. He decided to lay down on his stomach just a meter away from the ledge of the three story building and let D.4.C. look ahead in place of himself. There was a chance that the person might be a stand user, however if he looked anyone could see him.

What he saw however startled him a great deal. It was Roadagain and he was covered in a great deal of wounds. He just saw him an hour ago when he brought him to the root world, what had transpired recently that could've done this to the man.

'Roadagain? What could've done this to him? His stand is quite potent in almost every aspect offensively because of it's ability... D.4.C. take us to him and retrieve Cream Starter from the world where I left it in the dirt by the train station.'

Immediately D.4.C. moved him and itself across worlds and straight next to Roadagain. The man must be very on edge, seeing as he threw a strike at him as soon as he appeared behind him, D.4.C. caught the strike with ease. He now looked more carefully over the disheveled man, as he did so he saw stab wounds all across his stomach and slashes against his biceps and forearms, but not strikes against his face... odd.

"Mr. Valentine? I apologize humbly, I thought it was someone else. I traveled here as swiftly as I could, but I came across a bit of trouble as I made my way here."

A response could wait, he took out Cream Starter from between his coat and pants. He unbuttoned his coat and used D.4.C. to force the arm of another version of himself from between it. He forced his alternate self's hand to take hold of Cream Starter even as it was struggling against him.

"That's quite enough."

He said in as calm of a voice as he could and took both of his hands and grasped onto the protruding arms bicep and snapped the humerus bone with a surprising amount of ease he supposed. Thus preventing his other self from struggling against his grip. He put Cream Starter in the hand of the now broken arm and pulled the trigger producing the familiar flesh spray that he's seen before.

'It wasn't that hard to patch up Roadagain. It did take some precise movements here and there but it wasn't all too hard to do so what so ever. More grueling for him I would think especially seeing how deep some of the stab wounds were. When D.4.C. phased through him and looked around, the wounds nearly went four inches deep.'

Still... he had another step he had to take, in order to fully help Roadagain especially with the areas of the man that still had muscle and organ tissue missing.

"Ringo, I'm going to test something quickly, if it hurts tell me. I've found some intriguing ways to use my stand's ability, and it might be equipped to fix you, though it might go wrong so let me know if you feel any pain. I'm aware you do have a more dulled sense of pain than most others, but attempt to tell me if anything feels off."

He looked Roadagain sternly in his eyes making sure the man knew he was serious. After all he was an important piece in this war of his, he'd rather not have to find another version of Ringo should he be able to prevent that from happening.

"You have my word Mr. Valentine. I'll do my best to speak up should anything feel off."

'It's hard to precisely bring things together without them merging together and obliterating themselves from existence. It was not a trivial matter what so ever trying to repair the safe house, with the amount of times it almost merged together. I can't risk using another version of Ringo to remove tissue from...
However... my blood is type O Negative, the universal donor. I should be able to take tissue from another version of myself and fill the missing tissue spaces in Roadagain. I've always been careful with what I do, so I shouldn't find a version of myself with any disease or illness, at least commonly not at least.'

'D.4.C.'

Instantly D.4.C. went between the alleyway like a blur and disappeared from sight as he saw it traverse the limitless amount of worlds all around it like it was a shopping center with different stores all around it. Within seconds D.4.C. found what he needed it to find, and cleaved his alternate self's head from his shoulders and took ahold of the now lifeless clone of himself.
It returned almost in an instant much to his gratitude and quickly moved back to him and Roadagain.

"What...? What's going on Mr. Valentine that's..."

"Yes it is, Roadagain."

He beckoned for D.4.C. to continue what he commanded it to do. D.4.C.'s hand slowly phased into Roadagain's body and planted it's hand near one of the area's that had missing tissue. Since it was still holding onto his clone he hoped that his idea would work, at least work without consequences that is.

"Does anything feel painful or... off yet? I can't quite tell since your body language hasn't changed what so ever."

He saw that Roadagain was quick to answer.

"No Mr. Valentine. I feel quite fine actually. I'd say even better than just a minute ago."

'My idea was right. I can replace muscle and organ tissue with my own, I can remedy other's physical problems it seems. I'll still need to use Cream Starter as I can't match everyone's skin pigmentation with my own. It'd only cause them unwanted glances and questions from others should they see a patch of skin a completely different color than their own. However that won't matter for anything beneath the skin.'

He had D.4.C. push the withered arm back between his coat and back to the dimension from whence it came as it no longer served any use to him besides being an obstruction. As he put away Cream Starter he looked at Roadagain with a inquiring brow and spoke his mind.

"I'm going to have to ask, what could've possibly done this to you Roadagain? Your stand is quite a challenge for anyone to get past, yet I can only assume that whatever did this to you somehow prevented you from activating your stand's ability to rewind time. Otherwise I'm not certain what might've happened to you."

Roadagain looked somewhat irritated at least to what he could tell by the man's body language and the small sneer that appeared on his Agent's face. He might have to take care of whatever did this to Roadagain, if Roadagain couldn't beat whatever did this to him then D.4.C. was the best bet for the fight seeing as so far he's not encountered a single stand stronger than it physically except for Tusk Act IV and Ball Breaker. 'However when The Heart is awakened D.4.C. is far stronger than both Zeppeli's and Joestar's stands if they aren't using the Infinite Rotation.'

"The answer as to what did this to me Mr. Valentine is actually a who. It was a woman wearing a maid's dress with some kind of armor on it. It was a grueling fight to say the least, she started off by fighting me with a sword, but eventually she started to summon lightning against me. She forced me to take a great deal of strikes and if I rewound time... well lightning would've struck me.
I managed to get away by rewinding time as she was distracted, but she still left me with quite a quantity of wounds upon myself. I tried my best Mr. Valentine but I can't quite beat her... as much as I hate to conform to that."

He simply waved Roadagain off and reassured him of the fact that it was not his fault for his loss. While he didn't have an extreme amount of love for most people that he held once upon a time, he still had a respect and care for every American, even ones that have caused great harm. The fact as well is that though he doesn't have an extreme love for many people, he still has enough to care about the wellbeing of others, especially those that love this country.

"Do not worry about that now Ringo, you're here and away from the woman who did this to you. I'm well aware of your outlook of the world and the feelings you have to the societal norm of things, but I assure you, you've done the right thing. Regardless of how you feel, I'm glad that you made it away from the woman that attacked you. You're an American, and just like every other American, you deserve a life that you are free to live in your own way."

He could see that Roadagain had a conflicting look in his eyes, more than likely of how to remedy his gruesome outlook of life and what he had just informed the man of on his own beliefs.

'I suppose he might have something to think about now. Hopefully that'll keep him content at the rendezvous point.'

He cleared his throat which got Roadagain's attention and he spoke his plan to his Agent.

"I'm going to take you to the area where everyone is meeting. However plans have changed for me since you informed me of the woman that attacked you, I'm going to leave immediately after I get you to the premises of the hall. I'm not going to let someone like that roam free anywhere within my Country. After I deal with that inconvenience, I'll make my way over to the hall. Understood?"

"Yes Mr. Valentine."

He smiled and pat Ringo's shoulders. He was glad that he had someone like him on his side, though he did suppose the man was a bit grim, he was a hard worker and a trustworthy man. Quite an honorable man at that too, though he was what some might call a murderer or serial killer, he was a decent man in some strange way.

With a flourish he had D.4.C. take both him and his guest with them. 'It's probably quite exhilarating to see all the vast amounts of world that lay about for most, however I guess it's lost it's wonder and novelty for me. After seeing it more times than I would ever care to count.'

Vwooosh

'Good... right at North End Avenue, and there it is, the New Trinity Church.'

"Here's your stop Roadagain, I'll see you in a while. If you would let everyone know of what I'm currently doing I'd be most grateful to you. Of course do so at your own discretion. Be safe and may God be with you, my friend."

He didn't know if Roadagain was going to reply but he left before he could anyways, so in truth he wasn't going to truly ever know, then again he could just as well ask when he got back from this little Neighborhood Watch excursion of his.

'However all of that can wait till later. For now I need to deal with this woman before she can do anything else to anyone around. And by the sound of it, she very well might be working this Ainz that Bloodfallen was so enamored with.'

Though he thought more about it and of course he'd have to be careful since based off of Roadagain's recounting she very well might be a magic user, like Bloodfallen was. 'I can't be certain that she is stronger or weaker than Miss Bloodfallen was... I'd be a fool to not kill her immediately, though I'd also be a fool to not interrogate her. I'll have to make sure I can impose some order of fear upon her so that I can make sure she'll not be liable to target me with any form of magical attacks.'

Well... there was a few things he could do that he thought upon as he walked about the dark Manhattan street looking for the damned wretch that decided to throw a metaphorical wrench into his current plans. Though Roadagain hadn't said what she looked like aside from what she wore and carried as a weapon, she might look human.

'Then again so did Bloodfallen, and I'm well aware she's far from a regular human being. I'll suppose the same of this woman too should it turn out she works for this Ainz as well too.'

Though since that was the case... some of his ideas might not work quite like he had planned.

'I can have D.4.C. grasp one of her internal organs and exert enough pressure till she says 'uncle' though if she isn't human... I can't quite be sure of her biology can I... regardless of that she should have a skeletal structure within herself. Then do the same as I would to her theoretical organs and the results should be the same. D.4.C. go for the spine, just under the base of the neck, and squeeze, very lightly.'

He felt D.4.C. somehow send him a mental affirmation that in some strange way said

'It shall be done.'

Huh... he still found it ever so strange that he could understand these... how should he put it, emotions he supposed would be the best term for it, but even then that dumbed it down beyond compare. He'd have to try and do some personal research on this, seeing as how he does have a decent few stand users in his employ, he knew he shouldn't have too big a problem with finding some answers for some of these questions he had.

'And thus the outing has begun.'

Third Person P.O.V.

The man known as Funny Valentine just went along his way. Going about the job that was set upon himself, by none other than himself. The clacks of the finely polished boots against the Manhattan cement walkways echoed throughout the block as Valentine gave off a very relaxed image to any that might come across him.

The noise of the boot-heels hitting the pavement became rhythmic after a while, giving off the idea that the man was on his way home from a long day of work at some kind of formal job. The streets were near empty save for Valentine, however despite this fact he would soon enough stumble upon the woman he was looking for.

As Valentine walked through the Avenue, just a street over to the man's right was where Narberal Gamma was at. One of the members of the Pleiades, a group of Battle Maids from the Tomb of Nazarick. At this point both Valentine and Narberal we're stalking the streets that both occupied. Though it didn't help Valentine that Narberal was actually quite quiet at the current moment.

Narberal wasn't actually causing much destruction, as Ainz had ordered her to not attack any innocent civilians. However, she made a grave mistake in taking Roadagain's duel, as she would now have to deal with Funny Valentine.

Quite possibly one of the most dangerous and cunning threats that Nazarick might ever have to deal with. It wouldn't be an understatement to say that Valentine would attempt to quite literally flood the world that his enemies now inhabit.

Considering the amount of disgust Valentine holds for his current enemies, it wouldn't be surprising either.

The noise of boots walking diligently upon the pavement had stopped. The man stopped his pursuit and simply stood still, just taking in the surroundings that enclosed around himself. For some the city could be a wonder and for others it can be a nightmare, but for a man like Valentine it was more akin to water next to a beach. A common mundane occurrence, that could be gorgeous given the right light.

Valentine however ignored the thoughts of the city, and instead focused at the task that was at hand, to find the woman that caused Ringo Roadagain so much trouble and strife.

As Valentine moved alongside the pavement of the sidewalk, one foot after another, the segmented pant's the man wore never making a single noise as they creased here and there. The coat that the man wore fluttering about in the wind on it's tail end, lending a feeling that to any that might view the man that he looked as though he had a pair of wings.

The noise still echoed across the area as Valentine reached a side street, then took a detour through it, the dark alleyway doing nothing to shift his mood or demeanor what so ever, stoic as can be as though attending a funeral and standing strong for others around oneself.

Vshwooo!

As Valentine had taken another step the man had instead opted to move through the boundless nothingness that was betwixt every single reality and dimension that would ever and never be.

For most traveling across a space such as this, even a single inch, if one could even measure the nothingness that lay about behind the curtain of existence, would take an incomprehensibly insurmountable amount of eons even to manage to cross that single incremental measure.

However, through even applying the term infinite to the single measure of an inch in that void would be watering it down so much that it would be akin to calling a Redwood Tree a shrub. It would undersell how grand the size of even that measure of space was within that nothingness. Yet for D.4.C., it was like breathing. Just simple subconscious nature to itself, requiring no exertion.

The reason for that, was now known to the stand's user for a while now, and the explanation was indeed quite strange, for within the Stand known as Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap an amount of 'gravity' lies, within every single inch of itself. To give an idea of how much 'gravity' lay within the stand, it could create the whole encompassing existence of everything an immeasurable amount of times greater than infinity.

This gravity is not only the gravitational force that pulls stellar bodies in their orbit, but 'gravity' as in fate itself.

Valentine P.O.V.

Well this was an annoyance. Having to constantly walk around looking for a damn nuisance.

'I do wish to have some time for myself soon, I've wanted to open a couple dozen or more national forests for quite some time now. As well as lowering taxes, congress wasn't happy last time I tried to pass that bill however I have a feeling I can persuade them should I need to. If it comes down to brass tacks it won't be hard to air the laundry of everyone in Congress should I need. They may be citizens themselves but I won't hesitate to remind them that our jobs are for the people and by the people.'

Even as he walked onto the new street he just thought on what he could do to make sure American citizens were taken care of and cared for. Cleveland irritated him greatly, he'd take care of the rotten bastard another time. People liked to forget that the bastard that managed to become President before him supported the vile Jim Crowe law's, he held only contempt for Cleveland and most of the Democratic party.

He just sighed at that thought of his and moved on, walking the street confidently.

Third Person P.O.V.

Somewhere else within New York.

A woman continued to walk on a set course looking for a silver haired man that reeked of death. The fight that both parties had engaged in was quite a spectacle. Though the woman's master had said that none seemed to know of any kind of magic within this world some individuals were indeed capable in their own right. Now however the woman understood truly what her master had meant.

The silver haired man was indeed a threat and a strong one at that, though the woman had won the fight handily she wasn't without her own injuries.

However it seems like this interloper might just find that the man with silver hair was a shadow, compared to the man that she was on a collision course towards. As the woman walked around though she wasn't aware areas began to change slightly within an instant, the hue of the bricks making up the buildings would change hue ever so slightly, signs began to say different avenues.

Even the very air began to smell different, luckily for the woman that had tipped her off to the fact that something was going awry in the area she had found herself in. The woman kept moving however, not keen on being found out as an intruder in the midst of this city. Though her uniform certainly didn't help her case, though she wasn't aware of that.

As the woman continued to walk along the Avenue's sidewalk moving ever forwards on her journey and quest, she was unaware that the man responsible for the slight differences within the area was now following her for his own journey and quest as well too.

The woman finally stopped at an intersection and looked at a clock that was standing just a meter taller than she, and there it read the current time. Twelve O one at night, just a minute past midnight. At this time in the night, there was not a single light save for the street lamps that lit the pavement pathways of the city, scattered about here and there just enough so a person could ascertain where they were going.

Though for the woman the lack of light wasn't much of a problem. Though it also proved no benefit for this interloper as she held no advantage in the dark, since the man that's following this strange woman has no difficulty traversing about the darkened night nor it's inhibiting darkness that blanketed the land.

Clack

The strange woman once again moved across the ground of New York City, now however, every step the woman had taken was accompanied by a strange noise almost as if something was being manipulated or controlled in some way. Like a clay or a putty, being molded into the right form.

Clack

Clack

The noise of the woman's shoes moving across the cold paved sidewalk had halted just after a few steps as now right next to the woman stood the man that had been looking for her. Not even attempting to hide his presence the man just stood calmly right next to this woman that was capable of mass destruction, as though she wasn't even worth the time of day to recognize as anything other than a simple pest.

Though both were to some degree unknown to one another, the woman had recognized the man that now stood right next to her right side. The pink segmented coat going all the way down to the man's ankles, long blonde hair ending in immaculately maintained curls, the angular and near emotionless masculine face that looked as though it belonged to a marble statue.

This all registered to the interloper that had been looking for the silver haired man, instead the woman had found someone else entirely, a man known as Funny Valentine, the twenty third President of the United States of America, perhaps the most powerful man on the entire face of terra firma.

How the woman knew of the man that was now standing not even a foot away. Well the answer is quite simple, the horror story that had been told to the pleiades by Shalltear Bloodfallen at the behest of their leader and master, Ainz Ooal Gown.

Narberal P.O.V.

He felt powerful... very powerful for a human, he looked quite good too. He might be more than human.

'So this is Funny Valentine. Shalltear made him out to be a monster in every way imaginable, but he certainly doesn't look like he is, he certainly exudes a power I've never felt from any human before. If he could beat Shalltear one on one as easily as she said he did, I can't risk anything against him. I'll have to keep him occupied while Albedo looks for the Item's that Lord Ainz sama wants.'

"Funny Valentine, I assume?"

It was unnerving to see the look the man had on his face, she'd have to ask Shalltear just what caused this sort of feeling from such a human man. He didn't have any powers except for that invisible bodyguard that Shalltear told her about, though that made this a bit more problematic, as the guard is invisible and she can't really tell if it's around currently.

"Yes, that's my name young lady. Is there something that you need? I was out for a stroll, before I had to do some paperwork. When you work for the people there isn't much time for oneself. I don't have any problems with that however... sorry, a bit of a tangent, just nice to talk to another that isn't part of my Cabinet."

Well Shalltear was right when she had told her that he was well spoken. He certainly held himself like a king amongst men, though he also exuded a feeling of contentment that felt, well she couldn't think of any other way to put it, except for wrong.

"Well, I had a question for you Mr. Valentine. That is if you don't mind."

She studied him over to see if he had any tells but it was a bit harder than she thought. From what Shalltear and Lord Ainz sama had said, he would really show how he felt when you pushed him far enough. His eyes however... they only held hate and anger in them from what she saw right now, it was more than she had ever seen anyone hold in them.

'I should be able to distract him for long enough to allow Albedo to find the items that Lord Ainz sama is looking for. I have to keep his mind on this country, Ainz sama said that he's even more important to this place than he is to the Sorcerer kingdom. If so then he should love talking about it.'

Third person P.O.V.

Valentine was just looking at Narberal at the current moment, poised to answer the woman's question. Valentine had adopted a more casual stature, the president's head tilted ever so slightly to the left, shoulders slumped and not standing to his full height.

Valentine spoke, and thus responded to Narberal's proposal for a question in kind.

"What is your question Ma'am, I'm more than happy to answer whatever I can. I'm actually quite glad to have a bit of time away from my current tasks, it's been quite... well, exhausting. Though my job is to do what's best for my people, I do need some time for myself now and again. Go ahead ask what you may, I'll answer whatever I can, like I said before, within reason of course."

Valentine had let out a small chuckle as he finished his answer to Narberal's question. In a feigned attempt at being more casual and approachable.

Luckily for the President, this seemed to work as this actually set Narberal a bit at ease as anyone could see as her face lightened up a bit, due to an easy parallel she had just drawn between Ainz and Valentine and their outward demeanor.

"What does being President entail? I know the basics such as the fact that you must lead America, but not really anything else besides that."

Valentine smiled at Narberal and proceeded to list off the various duties that the President of the United States was expected to do, for the most part at least. Valentine walked towards a decently sized bench that was right next to the street light lamp and sat with his right leg crossing atop his left knee, Valentine then put his chin into the crook of his left palm and spoke.

"Well, there is a large amount of responsibilities that the President has upon their plate when they get elected, whether they win by the popular vote or the electoral doesn't matter, some less educated citizens have thought that might change their job but it doesn't, where some got that idea I'll never know.
However that's not what you asked about, as the President of the United States I represent our country as a whole, in a sense when others think of this nation of ours they think of how the person leading it acts and most will conclude a vast majority of the people conduct themselves like the leader."

Narberal moved a bit closer to the bench now too, and actually sat down next to Valentine.

Though neither had quite expected the other to be so calm in this situation, for both persons however, this was in the best of both of their interests.
Narberal shifted ever so slightly to position herself to look at Valentine as the man stared at the street that outstretched in front of them, though Valentine wasn't looking at Narberal, the man could still easily see her through the eyes of D.4.C. that was hovering behind the bench looming over eachother.

"In some way I'm a role model for all citizens, a beacon of reason and hope you could say, no different than how any other leader is. However, I suppose to some as well I'm a hero in the fact that I've fought for this country for years even before being President, while being a soldier. I'm the head of the Executive branch, thus I oversee how it functions, my branch is responsible for enforcing the laws of our country.
Though I can't make my own laws, I get to decide what laws are most important to focus upon and how to enforce them, within the past year I've made it so taxes are just 5% for everyone no matter the case.

Some have criticized this as being far too low for how much money the government needs to operate, so I did suggest I can raise taxes for every government employee if they felt so strongly about it, needless to say they backed down after that suggestion."

The chuckle that Valentine had let out held a bit of cruelty in it but also genuine joy. Due to the fact of easing the burden upon the citizens of America. It was one of the many reasons Valentine held a 93% approval rating, and that has been a near fixed number at this point for the last year he has been President.

"As President of the United States I'm head of Foreign Policy, which lets me dictate how America will interact and treat other foreign empires, nations, or entities. Though it sounds like it entails quite a bit it honestly doesn't, it normally boils down to me meeting with officials from other Nations and Countries and discussing how we'll resolve problems whether they be between ourselves or with others besides each other.

As well as the fact that I'm the leader of the Political Party I ran under, that being the Republican party, I'm responsible for shaping how the party will develop and what problems it'll focus on. Currently, the problems I've chosen are money, housing, equal rights, jobs, unemployment, as well as healthcare and ease of living for all citizens. Though it's been a bit troublesome for me to have some of the things I want come to fruition due to the Democratic party and my own, however I'll manage in spite of them.

I share the duty of being the Guardian of our Nations Economy as well, meaning even though I share the responsibility with Congress I do most of the work of making it run smoothly by fixing monetary issues within the Nation. Though more often than not it's Congress that causes the damn issues, if I had my way most of the Congressional members would've been put to death for how badly they've hurt our Nation recently. Though I also suggest the yearly budget that we work with and where it goes.
Congress can add it's own priorities which can change the budget completely and where the money goes.

The sad part for Congress is that the final budget must be passed by Congress and signed by me afterwards, so I could stronghold them If I so pleased. I've done it before, and when I brought the Citizens up to date upon what was happening... well having an approval rating of ninety three percent and there being sixty three million Americans... well Congress found they'd have to collapse to my budget idea or else the people wouldn't be very content with the current situation."

Narberal was a bit surprised to say the least, the man that the Nazarick citizen was sitting next to right at this very moment held so much sway that just speaking could get millions of people rallied behind himself, that's not adding the fact that so far Valentine could be regarded not as a King or Leader, but more akin to an Emperor, one that nearly all looked up to.

Much like the master of Nazarick, Ainz Ooal Gown. At this moment it started to settle into Narberal's mind that the words that Ainz had spoken to her, rang truer than ever before.

"Funny Valentine holds even more power upon the way the World will move in his world than even I have over the New World. Be careful around him, you've seen what his bodyguard could do to Shalltear, he's extremely important, whatever power it has doesn't matter, don't engage him at all, that's an order. That goes for you too Albedo."

"I am also the Commander in Chief, a fancy way of saying that I'm for lack of a better term the leader of our Nations Army and all of it's branches. Though the Constitution does split the power to make war between me and Congress. Only Congress can declare war upon another Nation or entity, however I get the final and almost absolute say on where and when our troops will be deployed, or even if they will be sent to war at all. Alongside who will lead the Army and how our Nation will use the weaponry at it's disposal.

Though I can't make laws I can pass Executive Orders that must be followed as though they were a law, though they are far from being a permanent thing as they can be overturned by the next President after me, however for their own popularity it would be within their best interest to not overturn what Executive Orders I make, as if the Citizens found out... well let's say it would be Deja vu for them as the same thing that happened to Congress will happen to them."

Valentine shifted his posture to a more refined pose, with both of his hands sat upon his lap now with the left hand over the right one and went to look at Narberal. The Nazarick denizen looked as though she was in deep thought as though she was trying to figure out the answer to a riddle or a puzzle. Though she still looked at Valentine. Valentine just gave a small but warm smile at Narberal.

Narberal had finally worked up the nerve to speak and spoke her mind to Funny Valentine.

"I see... is there any more responsibilities that you have, it sounds like you do have quite a bit you must attend to on a daily basis, while running our Nation. I do apologize if I'm prying too much Mr. Valentine, I'm just a bit intrigued by all of this."

Valentine gave a slight chuckle and waved off Narberal's voiced sentiments and spoke in turn.

"Well yes I do but I would like to ask you a question first, of course that's if you wouldn't mind that is?"

It was amusing to Valentine to see Narberal suppress a hint of wariness on her face as she managed to stop it from becoming too apparent, Valentine however noticed it still. It was hard to not have a cunning individual like him not notice things like that.

"I see no reason why not. I'm not very interesting but I don't mind, you may ask me whatever it is you want." However in saying this Narberal wasn't quite aware of the leverage she had just given Valentine.
Valentine shifted his weight, posture, and pose, having his left elbow rest upon the spine of the bench, the left side of his jaw now firmly planted against his left fist, as well as his right elbow pointed out like a sideways V with his hand upon his waist.

Soon enough Narberal began to feel a bit worried, even slightly afraid at what he could possibly ask, though she should be more worried about what he was about to do, not say. As this entire feeling of unease that was eating away at her was from the malicious intent that Valentine had started to allow to flow freely from himself.

As Valentine spoke, it sealed the way that this was going to head and how it might end.

"I'd like to know why your Employer, hmm... what was his name again? I believe it was Ainz, regardless of his name or alias I want to know why he is attacking my Nation? Though if I could I'd ask him myself and see if we could resolve it like civilized individuals instead of sending soldiers and fighters against one another hoping to win a war of attrition, I can assure you once that happens I will no longer hold my guard nor my agents back.
They'll be allowed to do whatever it takes to rid us of your Employer."

Narberal stared at Valentine with a look that could only be described as malicious and hateful, though before she could even say a single thing a pain had begun to erupt from within her body.

Valentine had D.4.C. phase it's hand into Narberal's body while he was questioning her, the muscular stand simply unphased it's hand within the Doppelganger's bowels and outstretched it's fingers in a splayed motion.

Within seconds Narberal was spitting up blood in near droves, as when D.4.C. had unphased it's hand it displaced a large amount of organic tissue near the mass of a bowling ball.

Though as Narberal was holding herself as the pain was beginning to truly affect her it suddenly went away. D.4.C. had removed it's hand from Narberal's body and replaced the organic tissue with that of an Alternate Valentine's, suffusing them together and fixing the wound.

Valentine then spoke up as to clarify the current situation for all parties involved in this.

"I currently have the ability to utterly remove you from existence via a simple command to my guard, however I would rather settle this like adults, even though I am well aware of what you did to my agent. If you're wondering who that might be, his name is Ringo Roadagain, a man with silver hair, of an average height and muscular build. I assume your familiar with him because of that look you just let appear upon your visage.
I could've had my guard dispose of you, just for simply attacking a member of my personal entourage and for being allied with whoever this Ainz is. Though I'll make this quite clear, I already disposed of someone named Shalltear Bloodfallen. My guard has only gotten stronger since then, and I have a feeling you are quite a bit less important than she was. So don't attempt to fight me, I'm much too tired for any of that."

Valentine was not quite n a mood for any trouble right now, though earlier he did want to kill Narberal, his mind has changed to a more diplomatic approach. For the sake of America and even Earth itself it would only benefit them both much more to have a more amicable agreement, than a war that could rip apart society and humanity after all. The same can be said on Ainz Ooal Gown's front, as fighting Valentine would only cause problems for everyone in his faction.

"I can't tell you that I'm afraid, It's too important for Lord Ainz and his Kingdom. All I will tell you is that it's important to him for some reason that no one knows besides him and a strange man named Mountain Tim."

As she had said this she had pressed a button upon a trinket she had hidden underneath a part of her Maid's skirt. This was no ordinary trinket or bauble, it was a magical device made to send out a distress signal to other members of Nazarick in case one was in need of backup, and who this alerted? It was none other than Albedo.

Valentine P.O.V.

'No no no no no... that fool was killed, Blackmore killed him... his body was never fully found though after his demise, Blackmore told me so, and he never failed a single time before at taking one of my enemies down, no, regardless of whatever happened... Ainz now has Tim on his side... that bastard has doomed America, his own country men. Odin and Ra might've even saved that bastard and got him to Ainz or members of his faction, I don't care that there might've been outside forces compelling Tim. He's betrayed his country and fellow man as much as Judas betrayed Christ...'

It was hard but he finally managed to reign in his anger at that fool, it was an absolute evil. Tim had to pay, fool more than likely sees whoever this Ainz is as a lesser evil than he. No matter, he just had to get his bearings back and then everything can go back to the plan.

He could only sigh.

'The bastard had sold out not only his country but humanity as a damn whole to whoever this man is... it's time to push this war further then. I'll have to convince the woman next to me to take me to her Employer it seems. If I can at least negotiate a small truce for even a couple days I'll be able to force his hand into any position I wish.'

Well that was another matter, best to attempt to convince this woman so that he could even prepare for that scenario.

Third Person P.O.V.

Valentine and Narberal sat on the bench quietly and solemnly. Though Narberal herself was currently staring at Valentine, who was just staring at the paved sidewalk of the City, a stoic yet distressed look had overtaken Valentine's face and posture. Looking as though all hope had been lost to the man at that very moment.

"Is something the matter Mr. Valentine? You seem to be a bit distressed, I don't want to assume anything, but does it have to do with Mountain Tim." Narberal wasn't sure entirely but she had heard Mountain Tim discuss Funny Valentine before the few times the woman had encountered said man.

Valentine heaved and sighed at this point, both of the man's palms resting on his forehead and his elbows on his knees. Hunched over in a near shaking state at the current moment, the rage that was now bubbling within the stand user's gut at finding out a Citizen of the United States would willingly cause the possible destruction of the country that sheltered him. It was maddening to Valentine, to an extremely profound degree.

"Yes... yes, you would be correct in your assumption. Just give me a few moments to collect myself and my thoughts. It feels as though a giant pit has formed in my bowels, I'm trying quite hard not to lash out. It's a hardship I've faced very few times, so I'm afraid I am not quite that adept at controlling my rage as some would expect." The amount of fatigue that was consuming Valentine was palpable to the Doppelganger.

It made it all the more apparent to said Doppelganger that the information she had given to Valentine very well might've been one of the worst decisions she could've made.

Nevertheless Narberal had already told the man who exactly informed Ainz Ooal Gown of the artifacts he was now looking for. A search not just out of selflessness for his faction but also Ainz own want to see if God or gods well and truly existed, and how he would compare to said entities and if he could surpass them or even subjugate them.

Valentine slowly rearranged himself now taking another pose, hands clasped over mouth, nose, and eyes. At this point the man was fighting against his own emotions, battling to keep them under control and from activating The Heart of The Saint's Corpse. With the power it had given Valentine beforehand it would be a menial task to accidentally wipe out New York and the surrounding states with a rage fueled strike from D.4.C.

It also ran the risk of annihilating his soul, so Valentine had to be very careful in his current state of mind and truly do his best to stay as calm as possible.

"If it's not too personal of a question Ma'am, I would like to know your name so we can make a more proper acquaintance. I apologize for not asking beforehand. Normally that's one of the first things I ask someone else, however I... was enraptured by your beauty."

Valentine adjusted his position to a more neutral style laying one hand on the left knee and the other hand atop the first as he looked now at the woman next to him, the anger that was reaching a boiling point now slowly subsiding to the wayside.

"I-it's Narberal Gamma, Mr. Valentine... I'll be honest with you, most men that would tell me such a thing I'd have already killed. That goes even more so for human men." Though Narberal was indeed reciting how she felt, it was hard for anyone to deny that Valentine was quite a good looking individual.

What helped to cause the now reddish hue upon the Doppelgangers face was that the man was also very eloquent in his speech and attentive in personality when he could be. For Narberal this was quite different than most encounters she had with human men. Where most she had met felt weak willed and cowardly and utterly fawned over her, the man that sat upon the bench next to her radiated strength and bravery and treated her as though she wasn't anything special.

A light smile made it's way across Valentine's face, and she managed to see it through the dark with her natural dark vision. If someone asked her what that smile instilled in her she would more than likely kill the one who asked, because in truth it made her even more shy, but also gave her a sense of dread and apprehension.

"A strange name, not unlike my own I'd say, though I'll be entirely honest with you Ms. Gamma, it has much more charm to it than my own." 'I wonder how long it'll take before I can persuade her, I can't lay on my compliments too hard else I'll risk her noticing something is awry.' Valentine had thought.

"I appreciate the compliment Mr. Valentine, however if you think that I'm interested in you, you're mistaken."

She indeed thought that President Valentine was quite good looking and charming for that matter, but her heart was completely devoted to Ainz Ooal Gown in every way.

This played into Valentines plan however.

Though out every human she encountered besides Aureole Omega, Funny Valentine was someone Narberal could indeed say she enjoyed being around even with only interacting with the man within this short amount of time

"I can assure you I am not attempting to make advances, especially after some recent events that have happened to me. I'm prone to compliments with beautiful people regardless of who they are. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that your not a human are you? I only say such a thing due to your comments on humans."

Narberal was ever so slightly surprised that Valentine had figured out she wasn't human, but then she had indeed remembered that Shalltear described the man as one of the most intelligent fighters she's ever crossed paths with as well as giving away that she views humans differently.

"You're correct in your assumption Mr. Valentine, however I'm not going to tell you what I am. That's a more private matter to me."

Valentine nodded and started to get out of the bench, he stretched his left arm then his right and proceeded to touch his toes as he bent forward to limber up more.

"I see no problem with that. It is quite a personal question, some people here on Earth find it quite offensive even, so do not worry about not sharing what you are. However I will tell you this, you will find no other man on the planet more opposed to any form of racism than myself. There is a reason that many countries have been losing their citizens to America, and that's because of how I treat honest people regardless of their race or creeds."

As Valentine finished his little talk he began to walk down the street towards a intersection. Narberal quickly got up and began to follow President Valentine as she still had wanted to get more information from said man, it would also be for the best to be near Valentine when Albedo showed up.

"I had a feeling you might indeed follow me. Walk with me... I wished to continue on mine, I hope you don't mind. I've found it helps myself to clear my thoughts and discern my situation better."

"I do not mind at all Mr. Valentine."

Valentine smiled at Narberal and continued upon the walk as she had followed besides him.

"Allow me to ask you something Narberal, if you wouldn't mind my prying."

Narberal thought on what Valentine was thinking of asking and begun to tense up due to his past questions but slowly calmed herself due to realizing that it can prove advantageous to see what Valentine had wanted to know.

"Yes you can Mr. Valentine."

Valentine closed his eyes and spoke as they both walked along the sidewalk.

"Do you believe it possible that you're employer would be open to negotiations of peace, compromises, some form of mutual agreement in any capacity with myself?"

"Yes, I believe Lord Ainz would... however he won't give up on acquiring the item he's looking for."

Valentine opened his eyes and tried to stay calm, as Valentine knew in all likelihood that it was The Saint's Corpse Ainz was after.

'I see, sadly for your people he'll have to give up his search or I'll have to make him give it up.' Valentine thought to himself.

Both Valentine and Narberal continued to walk, however Valentine stopped for a moment, his boots no longer moving across the sidewalk. Causing Narberal to stop in her tracks just a few feet in front of Valentine.

The look Narberal had given Valentine was one of curiosity and concern, as she had experienced Valentine doing the same thing a few times when he had to settle himself down earlier on.

Valentine let out a sigh and looked up to the stars, just allowing the cool breeze that was making it's way down the streets of New York City to brush against his face. The breeze slightly refreshed Valentine, giving him a renewed will that had allowed the thoughts that run rampant to slow themselves within his mind.

Though as Valentine looked at the stars strewn across the firmament of the cosmos, he spoke without ever looking at Narberal.

"I see... however I suggest you go back to your employer to inform him that I would like to settle this situation we've found ourselves in more... peacefully." Valentine had said with a lingering hint of irritation. Immediately after he had looked at Narberal and adopted a more intimidating pose, as he stood to his full height and looked down at the Doppelganger all the while making it clear just how large the height difference was.

"You should also tell your employer... Ainz, that I can guarantee that the artifact he wishes to obtain is not in the cards for him to acquire. If he should continue after what he seeks, he'll face a fate worse than death."

Valentine stared into Narberal's eyes as she felt the malice that seeped out of every word he had just spoken.

"O-of course Mr. Valentine."

Narberal wasn't one who was quick to frighten but with Valentine that was a different story entirely, with the amount of terror that Shalltear had spoken about the man it had only given reasonability as to be afraid of the man, with how dire Narberal's master Ainz had spoken to her, that made it even more so.

"I thank you for the talk and company, it was quite nice. Do have a pleasant night as well, and make your way out of America as soon as possible, for your own sake."

Valentine waved with the back of his hand as he turned. Narberal standing still as she watched the man simply walk quietly away. Soon enough however she had decided after Valentine had gotten near a block away to follow after the man.

Clack

A single noise was all that was heard as Narberal had moved, her shoe heel hitting the pavement and making the tell tale sign of someone moving across a hardened surface. The problem that the Doppelganger now faced, was the fact that Valentine had disappeared from sight as soon as she had turned to move.

Narberal was dumbfounded that Valentine had vanished even as she turned around to check on him, he was already gone.

'What? Where did he go, Valentine was right there?' Narberal thought hurriedly.

Unbeknownst to the Doppelganger, Valentine had appeared inside the building where she had now stood in anticipation.

Right next to Narberal within the brick apartment, Valentine stood against the wall moving without making a single noise as he had D.4.C. stand right besides the Maidly woman. The gargantuan stand simply observed her for the moment, allowing what it saw to be seen by Valentine.

Narberal was moving as slowly as possible, sadly for her, that didn't matter if something was looking directly at you.

For the moment D.4.C. was just hovering about and following after Narberal, ever watchful at the woman who had opted to ignore Valentine's order. D.4.C. floated to and fro all about Narberal attempting to understand what her goal was. Eventually D.4.C. had decided to phase itself into Narberal.

Within her it seemed to be exactly like a human's body.

'Intriguing, I'm not entirely certain what Narberal might be, but it is quite close to being a human. Though this could be an illusion of some sorts.' Valentine mused in his head.

Though as Narberal had continued to sneak about, Valentine had proceeded to do so as well to allow D.4.C. to stay within it's effective range while pursuing Narberal. As both parties continued to walk Narberal had begun to pass a lamppost that was right next to the wall, she was only a inch or so away from the building as she had brushed past the lamppost.

Play Repass - Mandela Catalog OST

Fswho-osh

Vru-um

The air itself began to feel heavy, as though it had taken on the properties of a liquid, forcing Narberal to try harder to move. Even as she put one foot in front of another it felt to Narberal as though she was stuck within a spiders web.

Bit by bit the surroundings had become different, some buildings laid broken and destroyed as though a war had left them in ruins, the smell of fire and sulphur entered the Nazarick Maid's nostrils. Assailing them with a smell that they had encountered before, burning flesh and organs. Buildings alternated about from being perfectly pristine, then to rocks and rubble, then to charred piles of ash upon the ground

Unknown to Narberal, she was being introduced to the original ability of D.4.C. the coexistence of multiple worlds in one place.

Crack!

Crack!

Crack!

Crack!

Boom!

The noise of gunshots began to rang about as dozens of thousands of bullets were being shot about the city blocks. Even the noise of cannons and explosions became apparent as Narberal ran as fast as possible through the apocalyptic field she found herself in.

Soon enough however Narberal stumbled upon something that began to affect her. Though Narberal was quite strong as she fought past the air that was assailing her, however even though the Battle Maid was still standing what was affecting her currently wasn't exactly normal.
Mustard and Tear gas were now assaulting her ability to breathe in her human like form.

All the while Valentine followed about on top of the building tops just looking through D.4.C.'s eyes as he watched the Nazarick maid run about the current area of the City, calm and collected, a smile upon the man's face as he watched her deal with the effects of the gas from another dimension.

Though Valentine was still planning to attempt to draw out any cohorts of Narberal should she have others that followed her.

'It's a shame... Narberal Gamma, I would've liked to talk with your employer but you are too curious for your own well being.' Valentine thought melancholically.

Narberal was running at breakneck speeds attempting to escape the amalgamation of gasses now wafting throughout the city streets. Even with her eyes tearing up and the coughing that had now begun it's assault upon her body, Narberal still fought through it all.

Sadly Narberal had no real chance of escaping from Valentine as the man just kept teleporting by going through different worlds and reappearing where he needed to be. Every time Valentine had reappeared he made sure to overlap more worlds wherever he found Narberal, as to keep her on her feet. Currently Valentine was attempting to force Narberal to the lake.

Though Narberal didn't know that as she kept on her feet as soon enough even more explosions began to hail about.

Explosive Bangs! and Ka-Booms! echoing about as mortar shells and artillery dropped from the sky as the man made devices of destruction begun to even shadow the firmament of the stars.

One step after another, Valentine followed along the path that Narberal had took, narrowly missing where she continued upon, still Valentine managed to keep up with Narberal's pace. Eventually Valentine resorted to moving through dimensions to follow her as he couldn't run nearly as fast as Narberal was.

'Huh, my body is still managing to keep up. Still, I should keep my physical exertion to the bare minimum at the time. I should've allowed myself some time to limber up before I started this escapade.' Valentine thought with regret.

Narberal while running began to press the ring to call for backup. 'I need Albedo to get back! We need to leave, I don't know if this is Mr. Valentines doing or his people's. We can't risk angering Valentine, not after what Lord Ainz Sama told us.' Narberal thought while rushing around her current area.

Right as Narberal went to turn into an alleyway another bombardment of artillery blasted around her, nearly throwing her into a building. Right next to Narberal's left the seven story apartment complex crumbled from the blast of the artillery shell.

End song
