(8:09 P.M)
Jarek awoke, seeing he was now alone in his bed.
"Yup. Back to this again." He thought to himself.
He showered, and dressed up in his normal clothes.
He went into the living room, and saw Marco watching the TV with Magma sitting beside him.
"I thought you were at Steven's house." Jarek said.
"I came back. He was going to get some sleep, so I came back." Magma said.
"Oh okay. Did you get any pizza?" Jarek asked.
"Yeah, right before I left." She said.
He nodded, before opening the box and grabbing a slice. It was still slightly warm.
"Listen, I didn't mean anything bad to you about Holly or-" She said.
"She doesn't even want to be a stepmother to you. You're completely fine." Jarek said.
"Really?" She said.
"Yeah. She told me before I went to sleep." Jarek said.
"That's a start I guess. I feel bad now." Magma said.
"Why?" Jarek asked, munching.
"I basically shooed her away from you, and you're in love with her. I had no right to do that." Magma said.
"Maybe you didn't hear me the first time : you're fine. She cares about you, but she's not expecting you to call her mom or anything. Only twisted people make their kids do that." Jarek said.
"Yeah. I'm sorry, dad." Magma said.
"Don't apologize. Just be in bed by 10." Jarek said, giving her a kiss on the right cheek.
Then Tundra Amethyst, and Orange Aquamarine came through the warp pad.
"Hi dad!" Orange Aquamarine said.
"Hey dad." Tundra said.
"Hi. Where's your mom?" Jarek asked.
"She let us come over here. Ooh! Pizza!" Tundra said, running to it.
Orange Aquamarine was held by Jarek.
"I missed you, sweetie. I'm sorry you had to see all that." Jarek said.
"It's okay. Between you and me, mom is a little funny." Orange Aquamarine said.
"Now now, Orange. Don't talk bad about her." Jarek said. He started kissing her snuggling her neck, earning little giggles from her.
"Hey kids." Marco said.
"Hi." Tundra said.
"Hi." Orange Aquamarine said.
"There's pizza there. I see Tundra's already gotten to it." Jarek said.
Tundra was eating a slice.
"Hm?" She said.
"Can I have some?" Orange Aquamarine asked.
"Yes. Yes, get some." Jarek said, setting her down on the floor.
"Thanks!" Orange Aquamarine said, running to the table.
"Hey dad, did I show you my new trick?" Tundra asked, summoning an ice shard.
"Whoa! Whoa! Not in the house!" Jarek said.
Then Tundra closed her hand.
The shard splattered into water.
"Oh ha ha." Jarek said, ringing his hands, and trying to wipe away whatever water got on him.
"What'd you think?" She asked.
"Pretty icey. Try doing that outside, but instead of making it splatter like water, try keeping as them as tiny little splinters." Jarek said.
"I'll do that. After I'm done with this." Tundra said, taking another bite of her pizza.
"No worries. Just whenever." Jarek said.
(Earlier - 7:00 P.M ; Crystal Temple)
Jasper was sitting on a rock on the sand, in front of Steven.
"Been a while." Jasper said.
"Yeah. I was surprised you came to see me. Jarek said you know the truth and.. h-how are you taking it?" Steven asked, nervous about her reaction.
"I'm still shocked that such a thing is true. She was didn't think about others when she abandoned everything this for a planet. For the human race here. Pathetic. Your friend tried to convince me otherwise, but I still can't believe it." Jasper said.
"She wanted to keep the earth safe. This became her home, and she defended it. But it wasn't enough. The Diamonds corrupted almost every gem on this planet, and now I have to deal with them." Steven said, looking down.
"I took care of that already. They're all bubbled in your friend's castle." Jasper said. "He thinks he's royal, because he bears a diamond inside him, like you. But you don't act like royalty."
"That's because I'm not. I'm just a regular person. Everything I went through, I don't know why I did, but it happened. I was kidnapped, and about to be killed for something my mom did, and I took the blame for it all. She never thought about the consequences of what she was doing when she did it. And so I had to take the blame." Steven said.
Jasper shook her head.
"You didn't have a choice. You know that." She said.
"No, I didn't." Steven said.
"Your friend said I should apologize to you. It makes me sick, thinking about it." Jasper said.
"You don't have to. I'm sorry if he hurt you." Steven said.
Jasper cringed, and face palmed.
"I'm not gonna act like it was your fault, because it wasn't. He didn't hurt me too bad either. (gulp) I started the fight in the first place. But he went haywire. He attacked Lapis, and then got shot in the back by a sniper." She explained.
"He got shot?" Steven said.
"His clone did. And then he wanted.. (gulp) (blush) he wanted to feel my muscles. He's taking a liking to me. I'm not sure why he has, he's already kissed me more than once. I hate him for that, but I can't help but worry for him. He's a pest that's gotten in my gem." She said, disgusted at this way of thinking.
"It's okay to worry about others. He's probably very lonely, and you were the one he wanted to be with." Steven said.
"Even if that were true, I would never be with someone like him!" She said.
"And that's completely okay. You have to tell him that." Steven said.
"Tell me what?" Jarek (clone) said, approaching the two.
The two turned to face him.
"Have you been spying on us?!" Jasper said.
"Oh no, I just appeared out of thin air. It's logic, bro. It's logic. What are we talking about?" Jarek asked. "You wanted to tell me something?"
"(STOMP!) I hate you! I wish you would rot in hell! I want to pummel you a million times for what you did to me! You made me soft!" Jasper said.
"Being soft isn't so bad. And how dare you wish those things on me. I came bearing a gift for you." Jarek said, summoning a present box.
Jasper looked at it, while still frowning.
He handed it to her, she took it roughly.
She opened the package, and saw a beautiful golden necklace with a jasper gemstone on it. Steven gasped at how nice it looked. It literally had sparkles on it.
She held it.
"A necklace?" She said.
"Yes." He said.
Jasper looked at it.
"Just go away!" She said, causing him to flinch.
Jarek nodded.
"Alright. (At Steven) See you tomorrow, mate." Jarek said as he turned and walked away.
"What the fuck, Jasper?!" Steven said, realizing he just cussed.
"I told you how I felt about him! He's despicable! He stole two kisses from me! And humiliated me! He deserves to die!" Jasper said.
"If you're so sure of that, then come over and strike me while my back is turned." Jarek said, stopping in place, with his back still facing her.
Jasper just stood there.
"I thought so. You say I'm pathetic, but the fact that you can't kill me right here and now says a lot." Jarek said.
Jasper charged at him.
Then Jarek summoned a healing rift (stasis), and froze Jasper right as she swung at him, getting close to him.
"Fuck this. You've lost yet again. Another humiliation made." Jarek said.
Jasper broke free from her frozen prison, and struck him.
Jarek slid on the sand, staggered.
He groaned, and felt his cheek.
Jasper walked to him, and grabbed him by the shirt, and started punching him in the face.
Jarek took the hits, and suffered significant damage. His face had red marks, and bruises.
Then Jasper slammed her fists on his head.
(THUD!)
"JASPER!" Steven said, trying to pull her away.
"Stay out of this!" Jasper said.
Jarek fainted.
"How about that?!" She said. "Have anything else to say?!"
She walked away from him.
"Hey!" Steven said. "You didn't have to do that to him!"
"He had it coming!" She said.
"He didn't deserve any of that! You might have killed him!" Steven said.
"Good!" Jasper said.
"Jasper!" Steven said.
"Get up, and stop faking, Jarek!" Jasper said.
Jarek didn't respond.
"Get up!" She said.
He still didn't respond.
Then she thought for a second. What if she did kill him? She suddenly felt bad, and ran to him.
(Ren - OH NO, he dead.
Me - Yuh, I dead.)
Jasper checked his neck for a pulse, and felt none. Then she checked for a heart beat, and still felt none.
"Oh." She said, her anger faded, now replaced with shock.
"No no no no no no!" Steven said. "Jarek! Jarek!"
Tears welled in his eyes.
Then loud whispers were heard in the background.
Suddenly Jarek's eyes opened, with red orange clouding them.
Jarek shoved Jasper away, making her step back, and fall back.
Jarek cracked his neck left, and right.
"That hurt." He said.
"How is this possible? I killed you!" Jasper said, now feeling bad saying that.
"You took a life away from me. I'm healing myself from the hulk punches you dealt me. Do not worry, I'm not to hurt anymore. You took out your anger. Do you feel better? Now that you killed me once?" Jarek said.
Jasper hung her head, and shook it.
"No." She said.
"Does it feel good? Having taken a life away from someone? Does it make your gem flutter?" Jarek said.
Jasper didn't respond.
"Yeah, I didn't think so. Let this be a lesson to you." He said.
"What? You knew I would do this, didn't you?" Jasper said.
"Yeah. Frankly, it turned me on. I have a big, strong bride whom I'm glad to have by my side." Jarek said.
Jasper blushed again.
"Stop saying those things about me! I don't like you!" She said.
Jarek tilted his head. A nerve-unsettling rattling noise was heard.
".. what? I'm not gonna say I do! You're awful!" She said.
Jarek just stood there.
"Fine. I don't feel good about killing you. Is that what you want to hear?" She said.
"We've already established that. You tried to help me despite successfully ending my life. You have a heart. Underneath that big tough guy approach, you're a big softie. Steven here sees it. I do. Why can't toss aside your pride, and own up to it?" Jarek asked.
"Because it's stupid." She said.
"Then you're gonna push a lot of good things away." Jarek said.
Jarek then walked away, but not before his eyes turned back to normal.
Jasper looked at the necklace in her hand.
"I appreciate your gift." She said.
He faced her again.
She gave him a stern expression.
"I'm finished with you now. Goodnight." Jarek said as he continued walking.
Jasper put on the necklace, and looked at him.
"Was that okay?" She said.
Steven patted her left bicep. "It's a start."
(Roxanne's House)
Jarek (clone) was sitting at the table, smoking a cigarette, on the opposite side from Roxanne.
"I guess my life isn't hopeless after all." Jarek said.
"You got beat up by a Jasper, and that's all you can say?" Roxanne asked.
"No, she accepted the necklace I got her. If you want someone, you're gonna fight your way to get them." Jarek said.
"Even if it means getting your face smashed in?" She said.
"That's not the only thing that's gonna happen. She was angry, and she took it all out. She's remorseful now. That was my whole plan. I could have rewrote her gem to be my girlfriend already, but then that would make me evil. Only a terror would do that. I'd rather win her over than take her." Jarek said.
"Looks like you have your work cut out for you." She said.
"You did, until you gave it to my counterpart's girl." Jarek said.
"I was ready to retire. Everyone is in good hands with her. She's a good leader. I felt she was ready." Roxanne said.
"And that's good. I'm sure she can run that whole place herself." Jarek said.
Roxanne nodded before putting out her cigarette. "I'm gonna make an egg. You want one?"
"Nah, I'll do it. Go sit down and rest." Jarek said.
"Okay." Roxanne said, walking to the couch, and sitting down.
After Jarek finished making two sunny side-ups, he ate with Roxanne.
"I want to see her happy. And I want to see Steven happy too. Jasper devoted her life to defending Pink Diamond, and now that she knows who Steven really is, she's gonna do it again." Jarek said.
Roxanne nodded.
"And with all the bullshit that happened, it hasn't changed anything from what I saw in the vault." Jarek said.
"What did you see in there?" Roxanne asked.
Jarek pulled out a disc from his phone.
"Play the disc. It's a recording." He said, handing it to her.
Roxanne inserted the disc into her DVD player, connected to her antique TV set.
"Remind me to go to the store after the wedding, so I can get you a bigger TV." Jarek said.
"I'm happy with this one. It's not all fancy and fragile like the new ones." Roxanne said.
"But the one I'm gonna get you is as hard as Jasper. (fake-convincing laugh) Hah hah hah hah hah!" Jarek said.
"Dork." Roxanne said, shaking her head at him.
"Yeah, that was bad. I don't know why I did that." Jarek said.
So the two watched the playback.
It showed of the events, consisting of the Diamonds invading beach city, Steven befriending Blue Diamond, and Yellow Diamond, revealing his identity. And then for some strange reason, an event that showed Crota shooting a beam of corruption to the ocean, summoning hordes of Hive. Then a giant arc beam decimates it, caused by another Warlock. Then an event that showed Jarek VS. Purple Diamond, wielding black magic, while glowing with a tint all around her. She has Steven held hostage. Then an event where Orange Lepidolite-1, kneeling before a broken fountain, transmitting into particles, awakening a grave, located in Johiren Graveyard.
Then the DVD player ended the playback, as that was all Jarek had captured.
"You've got a lot of explaining to do." Roxanne said.
"No, we have to wait, and watch these events happen. It's only what I saw. It's all strange. Osiris stops Crota, then I fight Purple Diamond, and someone died, making that Orange machine give her essence. I just don't know who it is." Jarek said.
"Beats me. I'm going to bed. A bit long for a recording." She said, getting up and going to her bedroom.
"Goodnight, Rox." He said.
"Goodnight." Jarek said. He laid on the couch, and closed his eyes. Within a second, he was asleep.
(Jarek's House) - 11:03 P.M
Jarek was laying in his bed, asleep.
Marco was drying the cat, being gentle with him.
The cat then ran off, shaking himself, shaking water off of him.
"Hey! Sweet pea!" Marco said, chasing it to a drawer. The cat went under it, and hid.
"Damn!" Marco said.
Magma was asleep in her room, snoring without a care in the world.
Marco sat down on the couch, and continued watching the TV.
A few minutes later, the cat jumped on his lap, and purred.
Marco stroked his fur, feeling the purr.
He closed his eyes, and dozed off.
...
