Prologue: The Serpents of War
Location: Mariejoa, Castillo Pangea.
"So that's what happened."
The Gorosei, (or the Five Elders), were in a meeting when a marine came running up and informed them that in the nearest waters of a desert island in the New World five Navy ships had disappeared to be found in a state of disrepair and complete destruction. The ships were looted and wrecked and there were no reported survivors.
One of the elders, a tall, thin man with a pointed mustache and beard, and in most appearances of him, is found standing; he asks the marine if he knows who or what ended up with those ships.
"N-No, sir. Well, actually, we found one of the attackers dead, but he was m-m-half... S-S-Snake..."
The old men tensed when they heard the Marine but didn't let them see him.
"Very well, you can leave."
"Sir!"
The Marine leaves, leaving the elders to discuss the situation.
"So they've started showing up..." the tall man from earlier begins.
"And to think that those who lived on that island are still alive... The past doesn't stop haunting us." speak another old man. This old man has a big mustache and is partially bald, and has a wine stain on his forehead, much like former Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev. He is sitting crossing his hands. "This is a compromising situation; we always knew that one day it would come to light, but right now..."
"We cannot consent to this." This member is apparently the youngest member. He has blond hair and a beard. He has a scar on his chest. He also wears his suit with his shirt buttons open and no tie. "We have to prevent this from becoming a global problem. We already have our hands tied with the Fishmen, so now another race will come out."
"Your leader could be open to negotiations, if we send the Cipher Pol as a mode of approach..." suggested the old man with the big mustache and bald head.
"I doubt it, they are a race of fierce warriors; they won't understand anything unless it's on the battlefield. We have to consider using a Buster Call to prevent a full-scale war!"
This old man looks the oldest, and he is the only one wearing a white haori tied with a sash exposing his chest and wearing sandals instead of some black suit and shoes. He carries with him a sword. He is also the only one without facial hair and to wear glasses.
"Wait, let's not be too hasty. They've had plenty of time to attack; we need to find out their intentions and they've decided to do it right after Levely, which means they're well informed about events outside their island."
The last of the elders is a tall, stocky man with slender legs. He has his hair styled in several very thick locks and his bushy white beard, as well as a characteristic wide scar that runs down the left side of his face from his forehead to the beginning of his beard. He wears an all-black suit with a purple tie over a white shirt, as well as black heeled shoes and a flat black beanie. He always carries a thick cane with him.
"All the more reason to send Cipher Pol-0 to investigate this."
"In any case, we can only observe the situation and wait to see how it evolves." The old man with the glasses finished.
The five men knew that this would be a very difficult situation, taking into account the events of Levely and above all, the defeats of the Yonkou, Charlotte Linlin and the "King of Beasts" Kaido. And all because of our protagonist.
—
The sun set beyond the horizon. The sky, as well as the sea below it, was a deep orange. The clouds were hot pink and bright lavender.
"A truly beautiful sight, don't you think, Miss Rhyddid?"
Two female figures saw the scene. One of them was a 31-year-old lamia. She is about 9.25 meters long in total, but she always moves with her forehead up, so she appears to be of normal human height. She has purple hair with red colored eyes. Her upper body is pale human with the exception of pointy ears that are the same color as her eyes. The lower part of it is that of a snake with smooth skin and pink and black colors. Her outfit was a two-piece bikini filled with gold and jewels. The other is a little younger, 26 years old. She is about 8.25 meters long in total. She has blonde hair, with red colored eyes. Her upper body is a human with fiery red ears. The underside of her is that of a pink snake. Her clothing is a blue and green dress with golden parts.
"That's right, Sachiko-oneesama. But what good is it if you're a prisoner in your own home?" asked the snake girl bitterly. Sachiko sighed and put a hand on her sister's shoulder.
"Someday this island will fall and we will be free at last."
"May the gods hear you, oneesama."
A huge ship was docked at the Sefirion Island pier. On the ship's sails you could see a yellow shield with a blue Capricorn in the middle. And on the pier there were two beings, talking:
A tall young woman with brown skin and long wavy purple hair, which she wears in two pigtails with black ribbons. She wears a dress of various shades of green and is laden with gold and blue jewelry; her jewel that stands out the most from her is her choker with the blue Capricorn. She also wears an orange headband.
And her interlocutor was a huge black cobra with a white belly and crimson red eyes with multiple heads and four arms, giving her a courteous kiss on the hand.
"It's always a pleasure doing business with you, Lord Vasuki," the woman said, "but I have to leave soon. The tide will turn if I don't."
The huge snake nodded in understanding before turning to look at a snake woman who also looked to be in her 30s. She was very beautiful, with very long purple hair tied up in a ponytail. She had four arms, three of them were plated with silver and her fingers were precious stones; one of them was badly burned and was wrapped in bandages. She also carried a scepter just as luxurious and with the tip of a spear.
"I don't like that you're with a... A... Demon!", the woman began, "I know it's for the good of the people, ignorant and weak, but...".
"Have I ever made you doubt me?" Vasuki spoke, his voice deep and calm.
The snake woman shook her head and received a kiss from Vasuki.
"I understand your reservations, Lakshmi my darling," she apologized, "but I fear this is for our own good. One day, we will return to our place in the heavens and drive out the Heavenly Demons."
Lakshmi nodded firmly and stood next to her husband watching the woman in the green dress leave.
"At least, she's only part Demon," Lakshmi said with venom in her voice, "but this will put a target on our backs, Vasuki. Even with the invaluable help and loyalty of the Holy Inquisition... I'm serious; I just can't risk losing you."
Vasuki, aware that his actions are risky, looks at the horizon with determination.
"To change things, it is necessary to fight, my love." He said. "Do you think that our destiny is to remain isolated here, condemned to live in this grave of sand? No, I don't believe it and therefore I will change that, showing that those Demons are below us."
Lakshmi seemed to cheer up then, but Vasuki could still see that she was sad to see him go.
"Will you accompany me in this fight?" asked the black cobra
Lakshmi walked over and hugged her husband, making him laugh before looking at her wife, who also had a sad smile on her face.
"Of course," she whispered.
And so, both their majesties and the two young women watched as the ship sailed again through the seas of the New World, not knowing that soon a certain person would come and change their destiny...
