Chapter 10: An Entrancing Wedding
Vlad had just proposed to Alicia, who happily accepted it and took the ring.
Now, the two "lovers" were celebrating it by smooching up a storm, which included A LOT of frenching...much to Vlad's internal displeasure.
After a good ten minutes of making out, the newly engaged couple was in high spirits. Especially Alicia, who was ecstatic and pretty much crying tears of joy right now as she admired her new ring and the man who gave it to her.
"I'm so happy, my divorced days are finally gonna be over! And I got a real man who is a success!..."Alicia said happily, as she kept peppering kisses all over her new fiance's face.
Her fiance, on the other hand, was acting like he was the happiest man in the world, while secretly feeling like he was losing his mind right now.
"And my days of being bitterly lonely and single will finally come to an end and I will finally have a beautiful wife and queen by my side..."Vlad said, while he was internally bemoaning everything.
Alicia, not realizing he meant queen literally, just smiled and hugged him tightly.
"I know what you mean, my king...though I doubt my cabin is much of a kingdom..."Alicia said before kissing him again.
"Anyplace is with you..."Vlad cooed, as he felt like he'd rather be facing Behemoth without his powers than where he is right now.
Alicia planted another smooch on him, nearly squeezing the life out of him as she crammed her tongue down his throat with pleasure. Once she was done, she sent a serious look at her new groom. She clearly wanted to address what she felt were important issues before they took the big leap together.
"Just to be clear, hubby-to-be. If we'se doin' this, then we needs some ground rules. I don't want a repeat with my last husband..."Alicia said as she got bossy right now.
"What is it that you'd need to make our marriage absolutely perfect for you, my sweet little rhubarb?..."Vlad asked like a complete sycophant, while his new bride began making demands.
"First thing is first...I ain't no dainty lil old housewife, I'm a strong, independent woman that has demanded respect for decades. Also, I expect things like the house to stay neat, no fancy ghost hunting doodads here like my idiot brother-in-law has at his house, no ghost stuff, I ain't a fan of cheese, oh, and we're visitin' my relatives for Thanksgiving this year..."Alicia said, listing the items off with her fingers as she walked around the house.
Vlad was silent as he listened but was nodding.
"Of course, my dear. Nothing is too good for the future Mrs. Vlad Masters..."The lovesick man said, completely under control from the potion.
He felt sick saying those words, but he couldn't do anything about it.
"This is so wrong!..."He thought in pure misery.
The events of last night were horrible as it was and would haunt him for the rest of his life...but if this wedding takes place, he'll be shackled to Alicia for the rest of his life...or at least until the potion wore off and he could find a good divorce attorney.
And that's only IF it ever wears off.
He had a sinking suspicion that he was stuck here and wouldn't be able to escape this before he said "I do".
All the while, Alicia smiled lovingly at him, pleased with what she had heard.
"Good answer, keep that up, and I think this marriage can work out and more..."The hillbilly woman said before admiring her new diamond ring yet again.
It sparkled like the sun, making the woman weak in the knees.
"Jeepers, this here ring is like ten times bigger than the cheap thing Jack gave ma sister..."Alicia commented, admiring it even more.
"I bought that ring SPECIFICALLY because it was ten times bigger than Jack's...and I intended to give it to your sister... you foul, twisted, vile, idiotic, perverted nincompoop!..."Vlad thought angrily, wondering why this madness was happening to him.
However, the potion's effect where as strong as ever, and the lovesick villain just kept acting like he was happy to be around his new bride.
"We should have the wedding as soon as possible. I'd suggest hiring Paulo Yardstick to plan a luxurious ceremony while affording the a time slot in the Amity Park Country Club for the venue..."Vlad suggested.
However, Alicia shot it down quickly.
"Not happening, lover boy. I've been single for over 10 YEARS before you popped the question, so a fancy ordeal is worth Jack to me. If we'se tying the knot, we'se getting the marriage papers and goin' to the nearest justice of the peace for something quick and simple. I ain't gettin' any younger and I don't want no long engagement. But…I wouldn't mind a pretty dress to be honest..."Alicia said, fluttering her eyelashes at the last request.
Just because she wanted a quick wedding, didn't mean a dress was out of the question.
"After all, I do wanna at least take some nice weddin' picture to show everyone, includin' our kids one day..."She said with a hinting tone in her voice.
That word send shivers of pure terror down Vlad's spine the moment she uttered them.
"KIDS?!..."Her groom thought in horror, mentally screaming inside, but as long as he was under the spell, everything he heard from this woman, he'd obeyed.
"As you wish, nothing is too good for you, my love..."Vlad said like a lovesick zombie.
Alicia smiled.
"Good answer. I can call the Justice right now but it may take us 3 days for them marriage papers to be prepared and noterized n' such..."She counted off her fingers.
However, her new fiance then sent her a very eager smile and took her by the hand, cupping it with both of his own.
"Fear not. I'm always prepared!..."He said as he presented a copy of the marriage license that he had saved for Maddie. "You wouldn't believe how long I've had these. We can get married at any time we want…"He said, as he showed them off to her.
On the inside, he was DEEPLY regretting ever purchasing these darn papers.
"These were suppose to be for after I got Maddie. This is a living nightmare!..."Vlad thought in misery, as his new fiance looked stunned right now.
Alicia was indeed stunned, gasping with a smile her hands nuzzled into her cheek. However, she also had her emotions mixed with a teasing tone as she looked over the papers.
"You got the license, even BEFORE you proposed to me...yer pretty dang bold Vlad for a city boy..."Alicia said, sounding surprised...before dancing and jumping before grinning.
"You got herself a wife, Love bucket!..."She cheered, as she ran to him, eager to shower him with even more smooches than before.
"I think that I want to jump off a cliff!..."Vlad thought as she gave him a bone crushing hug accompanied with more and more kisses.
"Come on, I know a pastor in the next county...his name is Pastor Crawford and he takes any customers. We can get hitched tonight at sundown!..."Alicia said, excited that she's getting married.
Tears swelled and fell as took a moment to pinch herself. She realized that she was still awake and that her engagement to Vlad is 100% real.
"I still can't believe this is happening. All my dreams are comin' true and I'm gonna be yer wife, Honey..."She said, happy tears falling from her eyes as she said this.
The moment seemed like a dream...but to Vlad, it all felt like a nightmare.
The miserable villain wanted to run away and hide, to get away from this horrible fate that was awaiting him, but he was trapped here by the potion and chained down like a prisoner.
"This is it. I've hit rock bottom! I'm stuck in my own body, about to marry the most atrocious creature ever, and worst of all, she's loving every minute of it!..."He thought as his "fiance" began making plans and phone calls.
After about a few minutes of barking orders to someone over the phone, Alicia hung up and turned to Vlad with the biggest grin possible on her face.
"I got him! Our ceremony is tonight at sunset and then we'll be bound in holy matrimony as man and wife!..."She said, looking even giddier than before.
"Then I better go order the prettiest dress and have them ship is ASAP..."Vlad said as he pulled out his cell phone.
Just like the papers, there had been a dress designed with materials ordered and ready. All that was left were the measurements, told over the phone, as the dress was to be delivered by drone. Alicia, acting very eager and on cloud 9, put the phone away before anything was said to the designers.
She was so excited by all that was happening, that she pretty much just didn't have any patience anymore.
"Never mind that! I gots to go get my old wedding dress and pick flowers for ma bouquet. that'll be faster! An' bettur. We can just spend big on our honeymoon and our married life together. It'll be so romantic!..."Alicia said, giddy like a childhood dream.
Vlad didn't seemed phased as he smiled with joy, agreeing to everything he heard from her.
All the while, Vlad's true self writhed in pain. The money he had made for his empire now being used out of his own control. A nightmare of karmic pain like none other as his psyche felt itself crack.
"I must stop this! Or get out! OR DIE TRYING!..."He thought as his mental prison kept him locked in the passenger seat.
All he could truly do was watch, scream, and plot for revenge. But he knew all was in vain as his body moved against his will.
Towards certain doom, known otherwise as holy matrimony with the worst bride possible.
Later that evening
Alicia and Vlad were now ready to leave to meet with Pastor Crawford, and officially get married.
Vlad was wearing stylish black tuxedo that similar to his usual outfit, but also had a top hat and cane to go with it and Alicia wore her old wedding dress and veil, a few notable patches on it, contrasting her more against her groom. She also had a bouquet of wild flowers that she picked before they got here.
Alicia saw him and let out a lustful wolf whistle as soon as her eyes landed on her groom.
"Man...and I thought the bride was suppose to be the center of attention at the wedding..."Alicia said as she eyed him hungrily.
"There's no need to be modest, Darling. You look absolutely beautiful..."Vlad said lovingly, while on the inside he was screaming in absolute terror the second he saw her wearing her dress and veil.
"My worst nightmare is coming true! I think that I really am going to be sick!..."He thought as he wanted nothing more than to flee right now but couldn't.
Alicia grinned and sent her new groom flirty eyes as she walked up to Vlad.
"I'd smooch ya for that, but let's save that for when we officially say "I do"...Mr. McDonaldson~..."Alicia said flirtatiously, as she sent him a wink.
"Whatever you say...Mrs. Masters..."Vlad said, feeling internally sick as soon as those words left his mouth.
"Blasphemy! That what I should be calling MADDIE!..."He thought, as he followed Alicia to her rusty pickup truck.
Alicia and Vlad were soon inside the truck, ready to get hitched.
"TIME TO TIE THE KNOT! YEEHAW!..."Alicia shouted, as she started the engine.
The eager soon to be bride immediately floored it, not wanting to be even a second late to her own wedding. The old pick up truck drove at speed it never hit, almost threatening to destroy it in the couple's joy.
"YEHAAW! NOW WE'S GONNA GET HITCHED!..."Alicia shouted as she floored it again, while her fiance clung to his seat for dear life.
"And I thought Jack was a lousy driver!..."Her groom thought, while his bride-to-be kept driving like a maniac.
"I'm so excited! This really is the happiest day of my life!..."Alicia shouted as she was flooring it, tears flying through the open window.
"The best day of your life so far, my sweet!..."Vlad said as Alicia kept driving fast enough to break several laws and barely managed to avoid hitting deer or random folks.
She did not care about on the road as she drove like a mad woman to the nearest justice of the peace.
Miraculously, they arrived there in one peace and they were now at the entrance of a small town government building courthouse. It was as nice as the town had, but felt run down to the trapped Vlad.
"We're we are, hubby-wubby. Let's get hitched!..."Alicia said.
"Right behind you, Muffin..."Vlad said, as they walked out of the truck and then went inside with his blushing bride.
The real Vlad sobbed in his mind, trying to hit the imaginary walls of his confine like a mime. This was too brutal, even by his standards.
"Why me?! Why?! Why?! Why?!..."He thought in absolute dismay and misery, wanting to escape but there was none as his living nightmare continued.
Inside
Alicia and Vlad were now inside, where Pastor Crawford was waiting for them.
"What in tarnation is it? This is a place for ceremonies, not to start a ruckus!..."Pastor Crawford said, only to see the bride and groom.
"We'se here to get hitched, Pastor Crawford, just like I said on the phone. Remember?..."Alicia said, sounding impatient as she REALLY wanted to get married already.
"We already dressed for the occasion, as you can see my good man. I do believe that my lovely bride and I are ready to be married..."Vlad said, his arm wrapped around his new bride, mentally wanting to puke as he said these words.
Pastor Crawford blinked, but soon realized that this was all true. He checked a scheduling book that he had, and saw that he did have this couple scheduled for this time.
"Oh...yeah...yall did tell me that. In that case, saddle up folks..."He said, as he realized that this was the couple whom he'd be marrying tonight.
"Well, come on. Le'ts get you two lovebirds hitched already..."He said, pleasing the red haired bride to be when he said that.
"It's about time!..."Alicia said, eager to get married while her groom was wishing that he was anyplace but here right now.
"Where is a world destroying asteroid when you need one?!..."Vlad bemoaned as he was forced to go along with this madness as the ceremony began.
Pastor Crawford soon lead them to another room which had an alter, where the small, private ceremony would begin.
An elderly woman was by a nearby pipe organ, and then quickly played a low key version of the wedding march, as Vlad and Alicia walked down the aisle together, arm in arm.
"Oh boy, this is it!..."Alicia said in excitement, as she walked down the aisle with the love of her life.
All the while, her groom was internally sobbing and begging to be free of this torment as he got closer and closer to the alter where his fate would be sealed.
"If there is a higher being with any sense of mercy out there, please end my existence before the moment of regret happens! Please! I DON'T DESERVE THIS!..."Vlad thought, begging desperately as they got closer and closer to the end of the aisle.
Though he felt like he was being lead to be executed, and in a way, he was.
He paled on the inside, shaking in pure terror and trembling as he took each step forward, wishing that this was a nightmare and that he would soon wake up, but this was very much real.
The bride and groom soon reached the end of the aisle where Pastor Crawford was waiting for them, ready to read from his dusty old book as in tradition.
The pastor stood before them and pulled out the bible, but still seemed pretty confused by this couple. But he was being paid a fortune for this, and would not turn them down. There was more than enough to help with his business. Probably more to dip into for personal hobbies as well, a personal weakness that he kept secret from the rest of Spittoon.
Anyway, the pastor soon began with the ceremony and began the traditional wedding speech.
"We are gathered here today to join these two in holy matrimony.."Pastor Crawford said, the usual lines of a wedding.
Alicia was beaming happily, with little hearts practically floating above her as she kept staring lovingly at her groom. Vlad smiled, but on the inside, was in despair as this nightmare of a wedding continued.
"If anyone has a reason why these young folk shouldn't be hitched and shack up together, speak now or forever hold your peace?..."The pastor asked.
"I OBJECT! I SHOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE! THIS IS ALL THAT ROTTEN FAIRY'S FAULT! I DON'T DESERVE TO BE GOING THROUGH THIS! I' M SUPPOSE TO BE MARRYING MADDIE, NOT HER MANLY BEAST OF A SISTER! I WANT TO GO HOME! PLEASE, SOMEONE...ANYONE...SAVE ME!..."Vlad internally shouted, but his mouth remained shut with a painted smile on his face as the ceremony continued.
"Okay, let's move this along..."Pastor Crawford said, as he continued with the traditional wedding stuff that was part of the ceremony.
A few moments later and the older couple finally got to the good part...though how good it was depended on the person taking part of the ceremony.
"Vlad Masters...Do you take this woman to be yer wife and be with her in sickness and health? For richer or for poorer. Till you both become worm chow and you promise to love, honor and obey until then?..."The man asked, still shocked that this well groomed man wants to marry Alicia of all people.
The middle age half ghost, still under the potions effects, just smiled and nodded. Alicia had tears of joy swelling in her eyes as he took her by the hand and put the ring on her finger.
"I do..."Vlad said, ignoring his inner self's sobbing and screaming "No" but it was too late.
"NO! I DON'T AND I NEVER WILL! I'D SOONER SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE IN THE GHOST ZONE THAN SPEND EVEN A MOMENT MORE WITH THIS HIDEOUS CREATURE! NO! NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!..."The miserable villain thought as he internally screamed bloody murder but it was too late.
His fate was sealed by those two accursed words...words that he had been wanting to say for half his life...but with another woman as the bride.
However, he was stuck here with the last woman he'd ever want to be near as the bride...and he felt like a part of him just died right now.
The pastor sent him a strange look but nodded., wishing the man all the luck in the world before turning to the "blushing bride", who was crying tears of joy right now.
"Alicia McDonaldson...Do you-..."He was cut off when Alicia cut him off.
"Yeah, I do! Now get on with it already!..."She said impatiently, not wanting to stay unmarried a second long.
She quickly placed the ring on Vlad's finger, basically making it all but official right now.
Pastor Crawford gave them a curious stare, but shrugged and pronounced them man and wife. As the couple then placed rings on each other, Alicia she'd tears of joy.
"Alrighty then. I now pronounce you Mister and Missus...you may now kiss the bride..."The guy said, hoping that Alicia makes this one workout better than her last one at least.
Vlad was experiencing a new low as he felt disgust coursing through his body and mind, while his new wife was on cloud 9 right now.
"And...my life just ended..."Vlad thought, feeling dead inside now.
He was stuck with Alicia now for the rest of his life, or until he was free from the potion and could get a divorce, but that felt like that wouldn't happen for a long time, if ever.
All the while, his brand new wife was ready to literally jump for joy right now.
"FINALLY! Come here, hubby wubby!..."Alicia cheered, as she grabbed and dipped her new husband before planting a kiss to seal their marriage.
"Kill me! Just kill me! Someone just put me out of my misery right now!..."He thought as his life officially ended and his true punishment and his marriage to Alicia began.
"MUAH!~..."Was heard loudly, as Alicia and Vlad finally had their first kiss as man and wife.
After a long, Alicia released him and he took a much needed breath.
However, the newlywed woman went for a second and third kiss, not letting up anytime soon as she continued to smooch her new husband as much as she possibly could.
"Oh...muah...I...muah...love you...muah... so...muah... much...muah... Vladdy-baby...muah... I'm...muah...so..,muah...so... muah...happy...much... right...much...now...muah...muah... muah...muah!~..."Alicia let out in between her kisses, as she continued to smooch her new husband.
"Ahem..." The priest tapped the papers, interrupting the "tender" moment.
"Alicia, I'm happy for you two but save it for the Honeymoon. I've got other couples to get hitched tonight and you both still gotta sign the papers to make it all official and such..."Pastor Crawfor said, arms crossed as he wanted them to speed this up.
Alicia would have growled, but held her temper in check for the priest as she brought out a pen. She and Vlad then quickly sighed the marriage papers and sent them to the government's office to be submitted, making their marriage official.
And making it legally impossible for Vlad to get out of this now.
He was now officially and LEGALLY Alicia's husband...till death do they part.
A little later
Once the documents were signed and submitted, the newly married woman practically danged in joy as she hugged her new husband tightly.
"I can't believe after all this time, I found me a guy to call my hubby!…"Alicia couldn't hold in her joy, as she hugged her new husband with all her might.
"Indeed, my love. I am so happy...that you are happy... that it makes me happy..."Vlad let out, face nearly turning blue as his new wife squeezed the life out of him yet again as she showed him with her affection.
Alicia happily carried Vlad out bridal style and ran to her truck, almost throwing the man like a piece of luggage as she started the engine in one swift motion.
"YAHOO! I BAGGED ME A REAL MAN!..."Alicia shouted in glee as she floored it, her truck now had a sign that read "Just Married"and tin cans tied at the back of it.
The woman whooped and hollered as she drove like a madwoman, drifting through the dirt, making doughnuts before swerving to a stop.
"OH MY WORD!..."Vlad shouted as he clung to the seat, as the happy wife kept honking her horn in excitement as she drove like crazy in celebration.
She eagerly drove into town, where she knew all of her neighbors would be at this time and couldn't resist rubbing her new found happiness in their faces.
"You hear something? Sounds like Alicia's driving angry again..."Old man Billy-Bob said, while his neighbors Jeb and Daisy seemed confused.
They soon saw a familiar truck passing by...one that had cans tied to it, and a "Just Married" sign attached to it as well.
"Someone got hitched tonight?..."Jasper said, scratching the back of his head in confusion.
"Is that Alicia?!..."Rufus exclaimed as they all saw one of the town's most infamous residents who was previously divorced was now dressed as a bride with a man in her truck.
"In yall's faces, I just gots hitched! YAHOO!..."Alicia said, before laughing triumphantly as she drove off.
Her neighbors were all stunned, while they all tried to process the recent discovery that they had just made.
"So Alicia got married again? How nice...it's about time she found a nice fella and settled down again..."Daisy said, while her husband nodded.
"So...that's the guy she must have been with last night?..."Zeke said, while his cousin and brother both pondered.
"Shot gun wedding?..."Rufus suggested, and the others nodded.
"Definitely. Alicia's pa ain't around no more, but I'm sure that he's smiling down on her somewhere out there..."Zeke said, wanting to be happy for her.
"Does this mean that Alicia's preggers?..."Jasper asked, clueless and assuming that the reason for such a sudden wedding is the formerly divorced woman getting knocked up.
"At her age, hard to say but stranger things have happened..."Zeke said, while Daisy smacked him behind the head.
"Now don't go spreading rumors. Let's just be happy that Alicia found herself a man and that means no more of her rotten attitude. Hopefully, he'll be man enough to keep her happy...or she'll move in with him...whichever works for me..."The old woman said, grateful that the neighborhood won't have to deal with an angry Alicia anymore.
The residents of Spittoon all nodded, but they were happy that one of their neighbors managed to find happiness again after 10 years of bitterness and loneliness.
And hopefully, she'll be able to keep this man around longer than the last one this time.
Meanwhile
The newlyweds were still in Alicia's truck, and she was still driving out of pure joy and triumph.
"YEEHAW! I'M A MARRIED WOMAN AGAIN! YESSSS!..."Alicia said cheerfully.
"Alicia, where are you going?!..."Vlad asked, as he kept clinging to the seat for dear life.
"One second, Lamb-chop. I'se gots some business to attend to...but don't worry, then we can get started on our wedded bliss..."Alicia said, as she kept driving fast and soon arrived to a less dense part of Spittoon.
The truck then sped away faster than it came in as it stopped at a wooden cabin, one that was only familiar to Alicia. As the person living inside was about to hear the latest news, at the expense of the man in question.
Alicia then drove by her ex's house and couldn't resist the chance to rub her newfound happiness in his face.
"Hey Jonah! Get out here! I gots somethin' to show ya!..."Alicia barked and honked her horn, looking forward to this.
Her ex husband, dressed like a total 1980's yuppie, saw her and glared with daggers. He went outside to yell at his ex-wife, and get her off his property.
"Alicia, get lost! The cops said that you can't park that hunk a junk twenty feet-..."Her ex, Jonah said before seeing the "just married" sign and his ex wife in a wedding dress and with another man.
He was stunned.
"Uh...W-What is this?..."He asked, stunned as Alicia smirked and began to brag about her newfound happiness.
"I gots married now, Jonah. A real success! Nothin' like you!..."Alicia gloated as she showed off both her ring and her new husband to her ex husband.
Her ex, flabbergasted to say the least, was shocked beyond words.
"Who the heck is this fella?!..."He said in shock, unable to believe it.
"Vlad Masters, mayor of Amity Park and over of Mastersoft corporation and DALV co. And in Alicia's words...a real man…"Vlad said in a bragging way, making Jonah's drop his jaw.
His ex-wife saw the opportunity to rub her new marriage in his face, and couldn't resist gloating for all it's worth.
"You had yer chance, loser. Now I gots me someone new...someone better and he's way more of a man than you are, so there! How you like them apples! HAHA!..."Alicia said before flooring it, leaving her confused ex behind and soon leaving for the honeymoon with her new husband.
Jonah stared as her saw the pickup swerve about. Soon the truck was gone...as well as his ex-wife and her new husband.
"She...she found someone else? She got remarried?!..."Jonah whispered out in disbelief, surprised as he did not expect this.
He didn't know why, but he felt as if he misses out on something. He wasn't sure why he was feeling this way, but the second he saw his ex-wife with man, he felt his heart sink for some reason.
A single tears shed, unable to process his feelings and his emotions as he kept looking at the direction where his ex and her new man suddenly drove off in a hurry...but he wasn't the only one as Vlad mentally bawled his eyes out right now.
"This is a nightmare! It has to be! There is no way that this is actually happening, right?! This must be a nightmare and I want to wake up now! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!…"Vlad grimaced as his punishment and marriage to Alicia truly started.
Oh man.
