Hello there.
Before I begin with chapter two, I want to thank you all for showing support to my book. And also, to the person who sent me a PM, saying Geum Jan Di doesn't suit this series; I beg to differ, if you don't like her then don't read this story. Because according to me, she was way better than Ga Eul in her acting skills she is even more beautiful than her. Thank you.!
Enough of that, am angry at someone who sent a PM message asking me to choose Ga Eul for Ji Hoo to help him move on with his life which is nonsense. If you like Ga Eul, that is upto you, don't give me a lecture on which character I should write about because is my story NOT YOURS.
My heart beats because of you
My love for you hides in my drawing.
I gradually find the right way to miss you.
Are you on the same path as me?
Your soft breath stays in my memories.
…
"Was it Yoon Ji Hoo?" Ga Eul asked her flushed friend.
Jan Di was taken back by the sudden mention of his name. 'Is it obvious?' she asked herself.
Ga Eul moved closer to her best friend so no customers would hear their conversation. "Did you use protection?" she asked quietly. "How was it? Was he gentle with you?"
"I... I" she began to reply when a text message came in. She pulled out her phone to see who sent the message.
It said, 'THIS IS JI HOO AND THIS IS MY PRIVATE NUMBER, SAVE IT,' and her heart skipped a beat.
She smiled and was about to reply when another message came in.
'Let's go out for a ride.'
She eagerly opened it, and as soon as she read the words, her cheeks turned pink and replied to the message immediately.
'I would like that.'
She sent the reply, and another message came in forgetting her best friend was there watching her the entire time.
After a few seconds, another message came in. 'I'm outside the restaurant, come out soon.'
Jan Di looked out of the window to see tall handsome man in white standing next to his bike holding two helmets in his hands. And when he noticed her, he gave a slight wave and flushed his flawless smile.
"Goodnight Ga Eul, I promise to tell you everything" Jan Di said and immediately rushed out of the restaurant to meet her prince charming who was waiting for her by the roadside.
The night air was warm and humid. The stars twinkled brightly in the sky, and the moon was nearly full, casting a pale silver light on the ground below.
"Hey," she said sheepishly as she approached Ji Hoo.
His face broke into a smile as he met her eyes. Jan Di felt herself draw a breath. Why had she never noticed the way his lips parted just that way when he smiled? She looked down at the helmet in his hands.
"I thought you could use a ride before going home," he said, motioning with his hand. Jan Di's heart fluttered, and she looked up into his eyes.
"Thank you," she said, stepping forward and letting him place the helmet on her head. His fingers gently fastened the strap under her chin. She could feel the warmth of his hands. And for just a moment, their eyes met. He went still. In that brief moment, something shifted between them.
It was as if Jan Di couldn't move, like she was actually frozen in place by a magic spell. And she wondered, all of a sudden, if Ji Hoo could read her thoughts. If he could tell how things had accidentally changed for her in the past few weeks,
The tips of his fingers remained at her chin. The feeling of them made her heart start racing, and her lips parted to take in the breath she desperately needed. The tiny motion caused his eyes to drop from her eyes to her lips. He saw the desire in her eyes, and he knew that no matter how much she wanted to deny it, something had changed between them. Neither of them said a word, they just stood there looking at each other.
She didn't know if her eyes were playing tricks on her because she wasn't breathing correctly or if he was actually leaning towards her, ever so slowly. But without warning, in a fraction of a second, everything stopped. His lips were inches away from hers, and for a moment she felt like time had frozen. She wanted to reach out and touch him, but the moment was so surreal that she felt like her body couldn't move.
His hands dropped away from her face, and he was looking down at the handlebars of the bike.
"Ready?" His voice held a forced note of lightness. She felt like she should say something, but instead she just nodded, and he hopped onto the bike.
"Yeah," she eked out above a whisper, the knot in her throat almost blocking the sound.
He held out his hand to help her onto the bike behind him and guided it to his waist for her to hold on to. His fingers lingered over hers a bit too long. She nervously allowed her fingers to curl around his for a brief moment before pulling away and tightening her grip around his waist.
He smiled and inadvertently released a pleasurable sigh at the feel of her arms around him. He took off with her body flush against his. She relaxed into the smooth leather of his jacket as the warm air kissed her cheek, and she felt her stress melting away, at least for now. As the pair rode off into the night, he was grateful for this moment of peace and comfort.
They drove, and she smiled more than she had in a while. She was reminded of how much she loved these moments with him. Lately, she'd been thinking a lot about these little moments, especially after he had left for Paris... They didn't speak. They didn't need to. It was enough to just be there with each other. Those few moments of shared experience felt like a lifetime, and in many ways, it was more meaningful than any words.
...
Afterward, they went for something to eat and then took a walk along the Han River. The two stopped to gaze in awe at the kaleidoscopic shoots of water bursting over Banpo Bridge. "Jun Pyo…" he uttered slowly. Ji Hoo wondered if his best friend would be so audacious to take Jan Di away from him even after they had sex…no not sex but made love even if he had been drunk.
So, she simply studied him and uttered a tender, "Sunbae…" She didn't know what to say to him, so she simply slipped her hand into his and gave it a light squeeze. Ji Hoo smiled and returned the squeeze. Then he turned to face her, taking her other hand in his own and holding both now. Silently, he leaned in. Jan Di felt her heart begin to race, and her eyes fluttered shut.
And Ji Hoo kissed her forehead tenderly and appreciatively. It wasn't what she expected, but it was sweet nonetheless, and she smiled up at him. Jan Di opened her eyes, feeling overwhelmed by the warmth of the kiss and its unexpected sweetness.
"Shall we go home?"
Everything was silent and still. After about a half hour, she noticed that he was heading toward the house. She realized she didn't want it to end. "Can we ride for a little while longer?" she asked. This surprised him, but he would have been crazy to deny her.
"Sure," he whispered, knowing full well that he'd drive any distance for any amount of time that she would allow. She smiled and squeezed him a bit tighter, and he smiled as he glanced back at her over his shoulder. And it was blissful.
He took her the long, scenic route home, though they couldn't see much as darkness had begun to blanket the landscape. That wasn't the point, though. It was just an excuse for them to be close and to be against each other, at least for him. He wondered if this had been her purpose, too. However, tonight felt more... intimate. He wondered if something was bothering her, and he'd surely ask her about it later, but for now he simply wanted to enjoy this. It was pleasant and relaxing for Jan Di, in a way, but she also felt nervous. Her tumultuous feelings as of late had been wreaking havoc on her insides. She, too, decided to let them go for now and simply be in the moment.
Inevitably, they had to go home. Ji Hoo parked outside her house, and Jan Di hesitantly got off. She put her helmet on the back of the bike. He got off and put his helmet back on. She glanced at him, rather shyly. She wasn't sure what to do or say next. She considered telling him the ride was nice, but that sounded so stupid. They stood there for a moment, stalling. Neither of them wanted to go yet. He opened his mouth and then closed it and sighed. Apparently, he didn't know what to say either. So, he opted for physical touch. He reached out and touched her arm, then began to rub it lightly. He noticed that she was looking at him kind of funny, almost dreamily. He continued to rub her arm gently, then reached out his other hand and cupped her cheek.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked, revealing his perfect smile.
She smiled affectionately and cast her eyes downward, her eyelashes fluttering. "No reason," she said with a short laugh. He shook his head, still grinning.
Ji Hoo suggested walking her up to her house, but she quickly cut him off, waving her hands and saying it was fine.
"All right, then," he lingered, his head slightly lowered, as if about to kiss her goodnight. She took a quick step back, gave a nervous laugh, and said goodnight. And she truly, truly wanted a goodnight kiss, but she was too afraid of watchful eyes, so she quickly bid him.
The evening had been wonderful and magical, but it could have been perfect... She felt rude and a bit disappointed, but she did not want something so special to be on display before her family. And she didn't want to hear their shouts of joy, either. Her heart was so full of warmth and emotion, but instead of expressing it through a kiss, she settled for a wave goodbye and a heartfelt whisper of how much the night had meant to her.
After Jan Di entered her house, Ji Hoo stood there rooted to the spot for a moment, slightly stunned. He laughed and shook his head, "That's fine, Jan Di, but you owe me one..." he grinned to himself before hopping back on his bike and riding home.
The next morning at school, Jan Di received a text. She pulled out her phone. There was a message from Ji Hoo.
'Meet me at the stairwell. I'm stuck here. My shoulder is bleeding heavily' –Ji Hoo
Jan Di's eyes darted back and forth, and her chest grew heavy. What could this be about? Did something happen to him? She quickly put her phone away and rushed off.
Jan Di arrived at the stairwell, still catching her breath; she'd run the entire way as fast as her sturdy legs could carry her.
She glanced around for Ji Hoo. When she didn't see him, she rested her elbows against the balcony, staring out over the lawn and wracking her mind for possible reasons for his urgent request.
She suddenly felt a tap on her shoulder, and she spun around, coming face-to-face with Ji Hoo. "Sunbae! You startled me…"
He grinned, "For once I am the one startling you… Mianhae," he came closer.
"What's wrong, Sunbae? You said it you're stuck…, did you hurt yourself? Let me see where it hurts" Jan Di stared up at him with wide chocolate eyes, full of concern, as he stood before her. She began quickly by taking off his jacket and after unbuttoning his white shirt, leaving it hunting, her eyes began to room on his muscular chest, his uninjured shoulder, his clean skin. She then raised her hand but later recalled the panic that drove her to undress him.
"Jan Di-ah," Ji Hoo said, smiled down at her tenderly while taking her hand and put it on his chest. "Well, you rushed off last night so quickly that I didn't get to do this..." he took a step forward. Their bodies were touching now. Out of shyness, Jan Di took a step backward and taking her hand back; her back hit against the balcony wall, and she was cornered.
Without another word, Ji Hoo smiled, placed his hands squarely upon her shoulders, and pressed his lips to hers. Jan Di felt herself melt at the touch of his lips, and all her shyness seemed to vanish in an instant.
The kiss—short but sweet—made her weak in the knees, and they nearly buckled. Jan Di's heart raced, and she felt her face flush. She gripped the brick wall for support. Once again, he had caught her off guard.
Ji Hoo began to pull away, allowing his lips to slowly brush hers and hold them captive for a few extra seconds before they broke apart.
"All I wanted was a kiss," he said sweetly to her. Jan Di stared up at him, doe-eyed.
Catching him off-guard, she wound her hands around his neck and pulled him down to her. Overtaken by her emotions in the moment, Jan Di pressed her lips hard against his.
He wrapped his arms around her tightly, pressing her to him and returned the kiss, taking in the sweetness of her lips and her tenderness. He felt his heart pounding in his chest and the warmth of her body radiating against his. His body was losing control.
Ji Hoo almost stopped the kiss for that very reason, but it was so amazing that he didn't want it to end just yet… So, he kissed her back with equal fervor. His body tingled with anticipation as he felt her gentle hand run through his hair and her taste on his lips while another hand settled on his bare chest.
Jan Di continued moving her mouth over Ji Hoo's—to the best of her ability. Her lips parted slightly, and she captured his bottom lip between hers.
With the sweet taste of her lips against his, her hand caressing his bare chest, Ji Hoo was in a world of his own. Every sensation was magnified a hundred times, and he could hardly contain the pleasure that flooded through him. All the doubts that had been clouding his mind since their first meeting melted away, and he was overwhelmed with the joy of being close to her. He felt a contentment he had never known before, and it made him believe that anything was possible.
But being a gentleman, he had to control himself, and he broke the kiss. He held her in his arms and looked deep into her eyes, still feeling the warmth of the kiss on his lips. His arms remained on her back, softly caressing it. He wished he could continue kissing her, but they needed to get to class. He closed his eyes for a moment and savored the feeling, not wanting to let go. He took a deep breath, released her, and stepped back; his heart heavy with emotion.
"Let's meet up for lunch... at the pool?" he proposed.
She smiled and nodded, her heart pounding in her chest.
Ji Hoo led Jan Di out of their sanctuary. He wrapped his arm around her back, and together they began walking to their classes. Ji Hoo made sure that Jan Di was in her class and then walked to his class for the lectures. His heart was pounding with so many emotions he had never felt before.
For him, it had been different with Seo Hyun. She was always a friend, sometimes a lover, and occasionally an older sister. But with Jan Di, he felt something he couldn't put into words—a feeling of excitement, a sort of thrill that made him feel more alive than ever before. When he was with her, all his anxieties and worries would melt away. He was at ease with Jan Di, and he knew deep down that she could make him happy. They shared a connection that was deep and unwavering, something neither of them had ever experienced before. Despite their differences in social class and backgrounds, there was something about Jan Di that made Ji Hoo feel like he could trust her and be with her without fear.
Ji Hoo used to think that Seo Hyun, whom he had loved for 15 years, was the love of his life and that he would die loving her, but no, Jan Di changed his life and his perspective.
Jan Di entered with a bright smile, a genuine smile, expressive eyes that could read what was going on in his heart, and a sincere and pure heart that melted his heart and made him want to share it with her. And having a close relationship with people was always difficult, but after meeting Jan Di, he was craving her touch. Jan Di made Ji Hoo feel comfortable and happy like no one ever had before.
After the lectures, Ji Hoo busied himself with doing some course work. His friends called him for lunch, but he declined, saying he had work to do, but in actual sense he wanted to rush to the pool and meet up with Jan Di as he had promised. He wanted to have some alone time with her since nobody usually goes to the pool.
Jan Di came out of the bathroom wearing her tropical swimwear and found Ji Hoo just at the door of the bathroom in his swimming trunks. They both shared a knowing smile and made their way towards the pool. As soon as they got to the pool, Ji Hoo felt an air of peace and serenity. Jan Di sat at the edge of the pool, her legs swinging in the fresh water, while Ji Hoo was inside the water but rested himself in between her legs. "Do you like swimming?" she asked him while her hands played with the strands of his hair.
With his eyes closed and the gentle rhythm of her legs moving up and down, he replied, "I love it." He opened his eyes and looked up at her, smiling. "How about you?"
"Me...," she said, her eyes raised to the sky. "I want to be a professional swimmer," she said, her eyes twitching with happiness at the prospect of joining swimming contests around the world. She had always dreamed of pursuing a career in swimming, but the notion of chasing that dream felt out of reach.
"To me, a swimming profession isn't good for you," he said, giving his opinion.
She didn't let his words discourage her.
Ji Hoo could see the change in her eyes; she looked like she wanted to cry, but he wasn't done talking. He took her chin in between his thumb and forefinger and said, "I think being a public servant suits you best." Ji Hoo could see the determination in her eyes, and he knew she would be successful no matter what profession she chose.
"You mean a doctor?" She asked quietly, her voice barely more than a whisper.
Ji Hoo smiled and nodded in agreement, "Yes, a doctor! That's exactly the profession I was thinking of." He released her chin and stepped back, taking in her determination once again "It will be difficult," he said, "but with dedication and hard work, I know you can do it." He smiled at her encouragingly, a soft warmth in his eyes that made her feel like anything was possible.
Jan Di smiled a bit, wondering how she was going to be a doctor with her grades still so low at the moment. "My grades are still a bit low due to our lousy teachers," she said softly.
"We will do this together," he stated firmly, grabbing her by her waist and thighs, and swiftly carrying her off the edge of the pool and dropping her in the water.
Jan Di let out a squeal of happiness, and before she knew it, deep in the water, she saw Ji Hoo swimming fast to her side. Ji Hoo had been an excellent swimmer since childhood, and it was with grace that he swam to Jan Di's side, but before he could catch up to her, she smiled and swam away from him. Ji Hoo kept up the chase, both of them swimming in circles and laughing with each other.
"You can't catch me," she said, laughing and splashing water on him.
"Are you sure I can't?" he said. With a mischievous smile, Ji Hoo grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to him. She shrieked in surprise and let out a giggle, struggling against his grip as she tried to escape his grasp.
"I thought you were still a long way away," she grumbled.
Ji Hoo chuckled, shaking his head, and released her arm. His arms were then wrapped around her waist. She blushed as she looked up into his eyes, feeling the warmth of his embrace.
"I'm taller and stronger than you," he whispered as he pressed her palms against his bare chest. His heart was beating rapidly, and she could feel the warmth of his breath against her cheek as he leaned closer to her. She felt safe in his embrace, and she instinctively leaned in closer to him.
She felt her own heart racing, and before she knew it, their lips were locked in a passionate kiss.
She trembled as his arms tightened around her waist, and they continued to kiss until their bodies were pressed so close that it was hard to tell where one ended and the other began. His embrace grew stronger as the kiss deepened, and the moment felt like it could last forever. She felt her cheeks grow hot, and the world around them slowly melted away as they clung to each other in a cocoon of love and desire. As their kiss ended, she looked into his eyes and felt her heart swell with emotion.
"I love you, Ji Hoo Sunbae," she declared.
His lips curled into a gentle smile as he looked at her, and he cupped her face in his hands. "I love you too, Geum Jan Di," he said softly. She sighed happily, the warmth of his hands spreading across her skin and filling her heart with contentment.
His words were like music to her ears, and Jan Di felt a surge of joy within her.
"If the world were to end right now, I wouldn't regret it at all because I'd have spent the last moment with you."
Me too
That was the second chapter.
