David and Jay soon leaned out the window to see how they could stop the threat to Rapunzel.

David slashed his sword at the threat only to look down and see no one there, much to his confison. "Now where do you suppose that witch went?" he then rhetorically asked Jay.

"Uh! M-Mr. Nolan!" Jay gasped and pointed out as he looked above the tower.

David looked concerned about Jay's tone before he began to look where the boy was looking. The hooded figure appeared to be on top of the tower's roof until both David and Jay were looking up and they then lunged out and tackled David back inside the tower. Jay gasped before he ducked and looked inside the tower while Rapunzel tried to keep Enid out of the way for the young girl's sake. David was thrown inside the tower and soon crashed on the other side where a bunch of colorful paint began to fall and hit the floor, splattering onto Pascal, much to the reptile's annoyance. The hooded fgiure soon came closer while Jay and David looked up at them in alarm.

"Mr. Nolan, are you okay?" Jay asked the man.

"Yeah... I-I think so..." David replied with a grunt before he looked at the hooded figure and tried to stand up and draw his sword.

The hooded figure then held out their hand and began to make Rapunzel's long and endless hair jump up like a rope and then suddenly began to tie both David and Jay up inside the tangled hair. While the two were busy and tangled up by Rapunzel's hair, the hooded figure began to approach the frightened princess and Enid.

"Hey! Get away from her!" David demanded.

"I AM her..." The hooded figure replied menacingly, having Rapunzel's face under its hood.

"What the heck?!" Jay gasped as he looked shocked and scared to see that.

David looked just as, if not more surprised and overwhelmed, as Jay.

"Rapunzel, it's you." Enid realized.

"I know, I'm scared..." Rapunzel frowned. "This is worse than the witch who raised me."

"You were raised by a witch?" Enid asked curiously.

"Yes, it's a long story..." Rapunzel replied, too scared to tell her any more since this hooded figure was dangerous.

David then had an idea for Rapunzel's sake. "Rapunzel, it's not a witch. It's you. You said she appeared after you had The Night Root," he then realized and explained to the frightened princess. "You thought, it didn't work, but it did. The root allows you to overcome your fears by facing them."

"I can't!" Rapunzel yelped. "Please help me. Oh, man... Where's my frying pan?" she then added as she felt defenseless.

"She's your fear," David urged Rapunzel. "Only you can defeat her."

"Sometimes it's okay to be scared," Jay soon told Rapunzel. "I didn't think grown-ups could be scared of anything, but you have to listen to Mr. Nolan."

"And I trust them too, Princess Rapunzel," Enid spoke up. "Jay is my friend and Mr. Nolan is Prince Charming, so you have to believe in yourself like we both believe in them."

"You have to face her, Rapunzel," David told her. "You must."

"No! I can't!" Rapunzel replied as she sounded too scared.

David soon freed himself from Rapunzel's golden, tangled rope-like hair and lunged himself out at Night Root Rapunzel. Jay stumbled a bit and landed on top of Enid by accident before the two of them looked at each other and blushed a little. Night Root Rapunzel ended up right out the window only to quickly grab onto the long blonde hair out the window, so she began to climb back up it to go back to her princess host.

"She's coming back!" Enid cried out.

"Now what?" Jay wondered as he helped Enid up off of the floor.

"Listen to me! Your fear was you could never be leader like your parents! Like your brother!" David soon shouted from outside as he held onto Rapunzel's hair to stay above the ground. "Own it and you can do this!"

"No, I can't." Rapunzel frowned as she began to cry tears from her fear.

Jay soon tried to find his own determination and bravery in order to help save Rapunzel. "Yes, you can," he then said with a nod. "Only you can stand up to your fears. You can talk to someone to help you overcome them, but only you can stop them from bothering you in your life."

"Wow, Jay." Enid whispered at how profound that sounded.

"What can I say? I guess I'm growing up." Jay remarked with a small smirk.

Enid smiled a little at that, looking proud of his newfound bravery.

"I just can't." Rapunzel whimpered and struggled.

"Yes, you can! Cut it away. Let it go!" David urged Rapunzel as her evil counterpart climbed quicker and quicker up the tall tower.

"Mr. Nolan is right," Jay then told Rapunzel. "If you do, you can finally have what you want. You can leave this tower."

"It's the only way," Enid added. "Believe me, I used to be trapped in a tower for a very long time too until I met Jay and some real friends."

"You were stuck in a tower?" Rapunzel asked Enid out of surprise.

"Yes, it appears we're more alike than it seems," Enid nodded until that suddenly made her stop thoughtfully. "Hmm..." she then paused to think about the coincidences that she shared with Rapunzel.

"You may have escaped your tower, but I don't want to leave mine." Rapunzel told Enid as she trembled.

"I know, I was afraid of the outside world in my tower especially since I was able to plant a special flower just for Peter Pan, but it's not worth shutting yourself out to the rest of the world just because you feel scared," Enid told Rapunzel maturely. "I was terrified of him and I felt like my tower was my only protection from him until he'd fly in for a visit, but I was even more scared because I was waiting for him to come and I didn't face that fear. I had some friends to help me and you have friends too to help you with whatever may or may not be scaring you."

"I understand too. Believe me, I do. To be frightened of an uncertain future," David agreed. "It may feel safe here, but if you don't face that future, Rapunzel, you will die. Alone. Is that what you want?" he then asked the princess.

"No." Rapunzel admitted.

"Then you know what has to be done," Jay nodded. "Do what you must do."

"Do it!" David, Jay, and Enid all urged Rapunzel hopefully.

Rapunzel looked down from her tower window, then looked at David, then the kids, then over to Pascal as he tried to get the colorful paint off of his natural green color. Pascal saw Rapunzel looking at him, so he pounded his fist into his hand with a firm nod and glare, seeming to urge for Rapunzel to also face her fear head on. Rapunzel nodded and soon took out David's sword and used it to cut the rope that was her hair, causing her evil counterpart to fall right off and vanish away for good.

"I did it..." Rapunzel smiled as her hair suddenly grew short and was now darkening in color.

Jay and Enid smiled back at Rapunzel until they saw her hair changing which made them curious.

"Rapunzel... Your hair..." Enid pointed out.

"Before I found out that I was a princess, the woman who raised me, Mother Gothel told me that my hair had to stay long and golden forever ever since I was a baby and if it gets cut, it turns brown and loses its power," Rapunzel explained. "A gift like that, it has to be protected. That's how I found this tower again after she disappeared and I eventually found my own Prince Charming until I came back into this tower and found out what I had to do with my life."

"Interesting..." Enid whispered once she was told more about Rapunzel's story.

"So Rapunzel is gonna have short hair from now on? Well, that oughta be interesting for the history of Fairy Tales." Jay commented.

"Indeed." Enid agreed.

Soon, since The Night Root Rapunzel was defeated, the actual Rapunzel came down from the tower with Pascal and her new hairstyle while Jay and Enid followed her down and out of the tower.

"So, uh, Princess Rapunzel, what's your story?" Jay asked the woman.

"I was swimming in the river, where I shouldn't have been. Where my parents had always warned us to avoid," Rapunzel explained softly. "I got caught in the rapids. My brother dove in after me. He saved me, but couldn't save himself."

"We're sorry." David told Rapunzel softly out of empathy.

"The throne was his. I didn't know if I could be queen," Rapunzel explained wearily. "And if I didn't know, how could my parents believe in me?"

"That's who you are. You can't hide from it forever. From them." David urged Rapunzel.

"Yeah." Jay and Enid added in agreement.

"You really think they'll forgive me?" Rapunzel asked softly.

"You're their child," David urged Rapunzel with a small smile. "Of course, they'll forgive you."

Jay and Enid also smiled hopefully for Rapunzel as they began to leave th tower and head back to the kingdom. Rapunzel smiled back as she began to walk off with them once she could finally leave the tower behind. In the meantime, Rapunzel and Enid were talking to each other and bonding. Then after a while, Enid began to realize something after she spoke with Rapunzel on the way to The Dark Castle.

In The Dark Castle, there was a crowd murmuring amongst themselves and even in the crowd, there were two certain people: King Frederic and Queen Arianna.

"Mother? Father?" Rapunzel called to her parents.

King Frederic and Queen Arianna then turned around and both grew tearful before they approached their daughter and hugged her while crying. Rapunzel smiled tearfully and then hugged them back.

"You kids helped Prince Charming do a great thing." Lotus warmly told Jay and Enid as she put her arms around the both of them while standing between them.

"Yeah... We did, didn't we?" Jay smiled.

"I'm so proud of you." Lotus nodded.

"Y-You're... you're proud of me...?" Jay asked as that sounded very important for him to hear.

"Yes, Jay, I'm very proud of you and Enid." Lotus told him with a warm smile.

Jay smiled back as he really looked happy to hear that from Lotus even if she wasn't his parent.

"I'm proud of us too," Enid said to Lotus. "I think I just found out something though without being told about it."

"Oh? And what would that be?" Lotus wondered.

"I think that Rapunzel is my sister." Enid explained.

"Your sister?" Jay asked with wide eyes. "What makes you say that?"

"Well, think about it, Jay, we were both locked away in towers away from the family and home we had known, though I don't really know much about my own home before Neverland," Enid explained. "I have a feeling that Rapunzel is my sister and all I've ever had of my life back home was this brush." she then added before taking out her golden hairbrush.

"But Rapunzel didn't mention having a sister," Jay replied. "She just had a brother."

"Yeah, well, maybe that was part of a curse too," Enid said to him. "I mean, you said you always thought you lived in a junk shop with a guy trying to compete against Rumplestiltskin when he was Mr. Gold and had a pawnshop."

"...I guess that's true." Jay had to admit.

"And Rapunzel told me that Gothel once told her that she once had her own child who was sent away from her like she was sent away from her parents," Enid then continued to explain to Jay. "So I'm thinking that, in a way, Rapunzel is my sister."

"Ohhh." Jay then nodded and realized how true Enid could have been in what she was saying before he looked thoughtful about what would probably happen to his new friend now.

"What's going on here?" Lotus asked as she looked at Jay and Enid since the two had a private conversation with each other.

"Enid says she might be Rapunzel's sister," Jay explained. "Does this mean that she has to go live with them now?"

"Interesting discovery, but I think that should be up to Enid and not us, Jay," Lotus replied and explained gently before smiling at him in a maternal way. "It would be nice though to find out who Enid and Carla are the descendants of since they were lost and found in Neverland."

Jay nodded and agreed, though he just hoped that this meant that he wouldn't have to say goodbye forever to Enid since he grew to like her a lot and enjoy her company.

"Excuse me, but did you folks say that Rapunzel was here?" A young man, nearly dressed like a peasant, asked as he came by.

"Erm, yes." Jay nodded in response.

"Why do you ask, sir?" Lotus added.

"I was hoping she was, I haven't seen her in years ever since that witch took her away after the disappearance of her brother when we were children. We were friends," The man nodded. "My name is Eugene, I was hoping to see her again."

Jay cupped his mouth with his hand as he chuckled at that name.

"Jay, don't be rude." Lotus gently chided.

"Sorry, ma'am." Jay replied softly.

"She's over there, Eugene, I'm sure she'll be glad to see you." Lotus then explained and pointed out to the man.

"Thank you kindly." Eugene smiled thankfully at that as he soon went over to go and reunite with Rapunzel.

"Eugene, is that you?" Rapunzel asked as she looked over.

"Yes, it's me," Eugene nodded as he approached her before looking up and down at her, surprised to see how much had changed since they last saw each other. "Uh, you look different... Did you get a haircut?" he then asked bashfully.

"Why, yes, I did," Rapunzel smiled in amusement. "Thanks for noticing."

Eugene smiled back and soon, the two hugged and embraced each other while Queen Arianna and King Frederic smiled warmly.

Meanwhile, Snow decided to come and reunite with her husband. "Are you going to tell me, why you were out in the woods all night?" she then asked him.

"I was there because I was afraid." David explained to her.

"Afraid?" Snow wondered as he looked away from her until she looked down thoughtfully. "Because we lost Emma." she then realized.

"Once as a baby and then again, when we were forced to return to the Enchanted Forest without her." David explained softly.

"No, neither time was our fault." Snow reassured him.

"I know, but, because we lost her, I was never a father." David replied wearily.

"You have been a great father." Snow insisted strongly.

"To her now. I didn't raise her," David replied. "And this child? This one? I don't know. I've never done this before and I don't know if I can."

"You don't have to. We're going to do this the way we do everything," Snow reminded him calmly. "Together."

"How did I forget that?" David replied with a small smile, feeling a little bit better. "Now, come on. We have a nursery to build."

"Why are you making a nursery?" A young voice suddenly asked behind the two and they turned around to see that it had come from Evie.

"It isn't polite to eavesdrop, Evie," Snow gently scolded the blue-haired girl. "We wouldn't want secrets to be spilled, would we?"

"My mommy says you don't know how to keep secrets." Evie stated innocently.

Snow blinked with wide eyes before looking over to the distance. Regina was seen talking to Belle before she looked to see Snow looking at her, so she smirked and winked at Snow in response.

"I guess she has every right to believe in that," Snow admitted quietly. "Well, this is a big secret, but we're going to tell everyone later, but you can't tell anyone right now, especially your mother."

Evie tilted her head in response.

"Wanna know a secret?" Snow asked Evie.

"Yeah!" Evie beamed.

"Promise not to tell?" Snow then asked. "Especially your mother?"

"You're having a baby?" Evie guessed.

"Well, erm, yes, I suppose we are," David replied. "We found out this morning, but you have to promise not to tell anyone right away, Evie."

"Even though Snow White told my grandmother about my daddy and made my mommy sad?" Evie asked with a firm pout and crossed her arms.

"I was young and I didn't know any better, but I know that you do, Evie," Snow urged the blue-haired girl. "So please don't tell anyone about the new baby yet."

"Well... okay," Evie then said with a small nod. "I just don't want it to be unfair to my mom."

"I understand," Snow replied. "But please don't tell anyone until we're ready to tell everybody else. So far the only people who should know are Mr. Nolan, myself, you, and of course, the dwarves."

"Doug too?" Evie then asked.

"Doug too," Snow nodded. "And even Ebony Black since she's my cousin and married to Dopey."

"Okay, I promise not to tell, Ms. Snow White." Evie promised.

"Good girl." Snow smiled at that.

"Now then, as we were." David then said.

"Right, as we were." Snow nodded as they began to head off together.

Evie then walked back over to Regina as Belle was talking about trying to find a way back into The Land Without Magic somehow. Jay watched Enid bond with Rapunzel and he just hoped that deep down he wouldn't have to say goodbye to Enid forever, but he was proud that he was able to find the courage to help out with Prince Charming on their adventure together.
