Emma soon came over to see her son after he had a special trip with some friends in Storybrooke today. "How was it?" she then asked him, trying to hold back tears.
"It was awesome. We should take more fishing trips when we get back home," Henry smiled before he noticed the sad expression on her face. "Mom?" he then added out of concern.
"Come here, kid," Emma said softly before she came to make him sit down on a bench with her. "You were right. I was not completely honest with you about this case," she then began to tell him. "This trip. The reason I brought us here is because someone was in trouble and the person who needed help was not a client. It was your father."
"This is about my dad?" Henry asked, sounding a bit surprised.
"Some bad people wanted to hurt him." Emma explained softly.
"Is he okay? Did you find him?" Henry wondered.
Emma sighed sharply as she knew that this was going to be very hard to swallow and explain. "I found him, but it was too late. He's gone, Henry," she then said, unable to hold it back anymore, and soon began to sob. "He was a good man. And he would have been a great father. There's one thing I need you to know about him: He was a hero."
"I wish, I would have known him." Henry frowned, looking a bit emotional once he heard that devastating and heartbreaking news.
"You did." Emma reassured Henry before hugging him.
"Mom, you're not making any sense right now." Henry frowned out of confusion.
"I know." Emma sighed as she remembered while Henry still had locked memories due to the curse to save Storybrooke from Peter Pan's reign.
Henry tried not to be too sad, but found the courage to face his mother again. "What happened to the person who did it?" he then asked.
Emma sighed sharply, but tried to stay determined. "They got away, but I'm going to find them." she then promised him.
The mother and son duo then walked away together after sharing the news with each other. It was truly a sad day in Storybrooke, but little did they or anyone else in town know, it was going to get better somehow. Word of a funeral had been spread around and Rumple was left dealing with the worst part of the grieving process.
"You've spent so long figuring out how to get to this land, groomed Regina to cast your curse, spent 28 years waiting for it to be broken, all that you can be with your eldest son. Now, he's gone," Zelena smirked at the man's depression. "Tell me, Rumple, was he really worth all that trouble?"
"Every bit of it. He was family," Rumple replied firmly and sadly. "Something you know nothing about."
Zelena just glared at him in response, trying to look unaffected by that.
Meanwhile, Neal appeared to be lying down on a bed before he gasped and his eyes widened before he shot up in the air. "Wh-What? Where am I?" he then muttered and looked around. "Is this... Heaven?"
"Not quite, Neal." A familiar young voice replied.
"Ben?" Neal murmured before he looked around, then saw that he was surrounded by Ben, Goldie, and Kiara.
"Wow. You really did help him." Kiara remarked.
"Yeah, just don't tell anyone about this." Ben reminded her.
"I won't." Kiara promised him.
"Thanks, Kiki." Ben smiled at that.
"Wait, what?" Neal asked out of confusion. "What's going on? Where am I?"
"You're in Granny's Bed & Breakfast safe and sound." Kiara reassured him.
"Man, I thought I died or something," Neal said before holding his head. "I was with Papa and Emma and I had to die."
"You did die, Neal, but we helped you," Ben explained to his older brother. "I also had to use what magic I had along with Goldilocks' to bring you here so no one would know and we'd throw the Wicked Witch off your trail."
"Yeah, and I came here to empty the trash and I found you guys here," Kiara added. "I'm sworn to secrecy though."
"So... I'm alive?" Neal asked.
"You're alive." Ben and Kiara told him sincerely.
"I gotta get to Emma and Henry!" Neal said as he was about to get up and go right away. "And Papa? What would he think?"
"Whoa! No, no, no," Ben said as he kept his elder brother down on the bed. "That's not such a good idea."
"What?" Neal frowned. "But why?"
"Well, first of all, everyone's still in shock and you can't follow them right away," Goldie tried to explain as she walked over to him eventually. "It's too dangerous."
"What? But I gotta protect Henry and Emma," Neal frowned. "I wanna be a better father than mine was..." he then faced Ben as he said that. "No offense."
"It's okay, Neal, I understand." Ben reassured his brother.
"So then I gotta get up and let them know that I'm okay." Neal then said out of determination.
"I know you wanna see them since you ended up not dying after all, but we have to keep you here or hidden," Kiara suggested. "The Wicked Witch wanted you dead and she'll try to kill you if she sees that you made it through your brave and noble sacrifice."
"So what's so wrong about that?" Neal frowned.
"I know it's hard to explain and hard to accept, but we need to throw The Wicked Witch off your trail," Goldie explained. "I saved your life so this is all I ask of you. You can stay with me in the meantime until we figure out where to go from here at least until after The Wicked Witch is defeated."
"Oh..." Neal's frown went a bit lower.
"But don't worry, we know where to keep you until further notice," Goldie then said. "You're gonna stay with me."
"Stay with you? But what about your brother, Robin Hood?" Neal asked.
"I'm not staying with him and the Merry Men for a while, Koda and I have a room around here," Goldie explained. "You remember Koda, right?" she then added.
"Yeah, that's the Lost Boy you got attached to after a while, right?" Neal replied.
"Exactly," Goldie nodded. "He's gonna stay close to us too so he doesn't spill the beans about you still being alive too."
"Let's just hope Koda is as good as a secret keeper as Kiara." Ben then added before winking at his friend.
Kiara just smirked and rolled her eyes at that.
Meanwhile, at Granny's Diner, Emma was throwing darts as every single one hit the bull's eye.
"Perhaps I should paint a bull's eye on the Wicked Witch's back." Killian offered as he approached her.
"She'll get more than a dart when I find her." Emma promised firmly.
"I know you're hurting, Swan, but there are better ways to grieve Baelfire's death than letting anger overcome you." Killian advised.
"Let me guess; rum?" Emma replied.
"Never hurts." Killian replied as he drew a flask from his jacket.
"I'll stick with anger," Emma scoffed. "At least, until I've dealt with Zelena."
"Take it from me: Vengeance isn't the thing that's gonna make you feel better." Killian then said, trying to offer her some helpful criticism.
"It'll make this town safer," Emma retorted before she glanced at Henry, who was sitting in a booth. "Besides, I promised Henry I'd find the person responsible for his father's death. It's really all I can do for him right now." she then added.
"That can't be true. Have you tried talking to the boy?" Killian replied.
"As far as he is concerned, I haven't seen Neal since he left me in jail. So anything I'd tell him about his dad being a hero sounds like I'm making that up just to get him to feel better." Emma explained.
"Perhaps I can talk to him." Killian offred.
"About what? Leather conditioner and eyeliner?" Emma smirked.
"I knew Bae as a boy," Killian reminded her. "Perhaps Henry'd like to hear what his father was like when he was his age." he then added.
"You'd really do that?" Emma asked.
"Aye. Could help the boy make peace with his father's passing. And me." Killian nodded. "Besides, I might be losing Harry." he then added softly.
"You guys had another fight?" Emma asked.
"I don't wish to discuss it right now." Killian replied.
"I guess that explains why I haven't seen you two together around lately," Emma said before she looked around. "Be careful. Zelena's still out there." she then warned him about spending alone time with Henry.
"I assure you, nothing will happen to the boy while he's in my charge." Killian promised her as they soon began to walk over to Henry.
However, Henry continued to sit alone until someone began to walk over to him.
"Hi," A half-hearted voice called to him before Henry looked up and over to see a certain blonde-haired girl. "Mind if I join you?"
"Oh, um, okay..." Henry shrugged and nodded. "No, I don't mind at all."
Dee Dee smiled a little before she sat down across from Henry. "You seem so sad." she then pointed out.
"It's kind of a long, complicated story," Henry sighed before he took another look at her. "Say, don't I know you from somewhere? You seem familiar." he then commented.
"Who? Me? Familiar? I'm not sure what you mean, Henry." Dee Dee replied as she batted her eyelashes over her icy blue eyes.
"...You just said my name," Henry realized. "How do you know my name?"
"Oh, uh, your mother told me." Dee Dee said, though it seemed to be a lie.
"What's going on around here?" Henry asked her suspiciously. "I just wish someone would give me a straight answer."
"Okay, I didn't wanna have to do this, but you have to listen to what I have to tell you, okay?" Dee Dee said to him, suddenly sounding urgent.
"What?" Henry asked softly with wide eyes.
"Henry, you have to remember me, it's me, Dee Dee," Dee Dee urged him. "I'm your best friend from Storybrooke."
"But... I've never seen you before in my life..." Henry frowned.
"Yes, you have, you just don't remember," Dee Dee said before she took out a book that appeared to be a diary before she opened it up to show pictures and names to him. "Look at this."
"What?" Henry asked as he took a look. "It looks like Fairy Tales."
"Exactly, Henry, you have to remember," Dee Dee urged him hopefully. "We first met in second grade when you gave me an apple at lunch in school and we've been best friends ever since and this, this is your family."
Henry just shook his head, looking at Dee Dee like she was crazy and he was just confused over what she was talking about. "I'm sorry, this doesn't help me at all." he then said.
"Your grandmother is Snow White, your grandfather is Prince Charming, you have to believe me!" Dee Dee begged. "You helped me find out my own story was The Nutcracker Prince."
"You're just crazy and weird." Henry whispered.
Dee Dee looked wide-eyed and pouted as Henry didn't believe her and he called her the names that Olga and the other mean girls in dance school would call her. "Henry, please, listen to me," she then begged. "Don't you know what this means?"
"Look, I get that you probably really like me, but this whole Storybrooke town is confusing and I don't understand it myself, but aren't you a little too old to believe in Fairy Tales and you're saying I'm related to them?" Henry asked.
"Henry..." Dee Dee frowned as she began to fear the worst of not being believed by her nearest and dearest best friend.
"Henry, do you remember Killian?" Emma asked her son as she approached him with the adult male pirate.
"Hello, Henry." Killian greeted.
Henry just glanced over with a small smile while Dee Dee also looked over a bit before she decided to leave suddenly. Emma and Killian both looked concerned about that, but they said nothing. Emma looked like she was about to go after Dee Dee, but soon decided not to.
"He looked right through me..." Dee Dee whispered to herself. "I just wish things could go back to the way they used to be." she then added before she walked away suddenly and gasped once it looked like someone was in front of her and snatched her.
Elsewhere in Granny's Diner, from a distance, Regina watched Robin order drinks while Evie had some hot chocolate. Tinkerbell then came into the diner with Scarlett and Archie until she saw the outlaw and then noticed a certain mark on his arm, then said something to Archie and Scarlett before beginning to approach the former Evil Queen.
"I can't get over the fact that Tinkerbell and Jiminy Cricket are parents together and to one of my classmates no less," Evie commented to herself. "Man, that sounds crazier the more times I hear it." she then added.
"I'm sure." Tinkerbell smirked.
"Hm." Evie smirked back before she sipped some more of her drink.
"Anyway, I came here to talk with your mother, but I won't be long." Tinkerbell said.
"By all means, go ahead." Evie nodded.
Tinkerbell nodded at her before she faced Regina. "It's the lion tattoo. It's what was prophesied. He's your soulmate." she then reminded the regal.
"I know. I saw it yesterday." Regina told her in a hushed voice.
"And you didn't tell me?" Tinkerbell asked.
"Well, right now I have better things to do than gossip about boys!" Regina retorted.
"Care for a drink?" Robin offered as he came by, balancing three glasses as Tinkerbell took one while Evie shook her head as she wasn't old enough to drink. "I do hope I didn't upset you or your daughter yesterday." he then said as he turned around to address Regina.
"Oh, don't worry, Mr. Hood, we're fine," Evie reassured him. "Aren't we, Mom?" she then added as she faced her mother.
Regina didn't say anything to that and soon looked between the former pixie and the outlaw. "Robin Hood, Tinker Bell. Tinker Bell, Robin Hood." she then introduced them quickly.
Evie frowned softly as her mother seemed to be dodging Tinkerbell and Robin.
"I've been wanting to meet you for a very long time." Tinkerbell smiled as she shook hands with Robin.
"And no, you didn't upset me either," Regina then said to the outlaw. "I just found a clue trail that needed to be followed. One that didn't lead anywhere," she then added before gesturing towards the offered glass, then stopped herself. "I don't daytime drink." she added.
"Ah well, perhaps in the evening then." Robin suggested before he nodded and took his leave.
"Yes, probably another time, Mr. Hood." Evie agreed.
Robin smiled at her before he continued to leave while Evie and Tinkerbell both looked disappointed with Regina.
"What was all that about? Didn't you learn anything from the last time you screwed this up?" Tinkerbell asked Regina sternly. "If you had been open to the possibility of love when you first saw him, maybe your life wouldn't have turned out so..." she then added before stopping herself mid-sentence.
"'So' what?" Regina demanded firmly. "How did my life turn out?"
"Why am I even bothering?" Tinkerbell murmured and shook her head before she walked off suddenly.
"Mom, that was a bit uncalled for." Evie pouted.
"I'm sorry, my dear, but that's just how it goes sometimes." Regina replied.
"Why don't you tell me what this is about?" Evie suggested before she crossed her arms.
"Nothing can make me stay here and discuss this with you," Regina said as she was about to get up and leave suddenly. "We'll talk about this later probably, but I think we both need a time-out."
"Is this because of what happened to my dad?" Evie suddenly asked.
That question suddenly made Regina stop in her tracks and grow wide-eyed.
"You know, you can tell me about him a bit more, it would be nice to get to know him," Evie urged her mother. "All I really have of him is that one picture and his cape."
"Evie, we'll talk about it later, okay?" Regina sighed out of frustration.
"Come on, Mom..." Evie frowned.
"I said later." Regina firmly repeated herself.
"All right, but we're definitely going to address this eventually." Evie then said as strongly as she could while also not disrespecting her mother's wishes.
Regina didn't say anything more to that and just nodded at her daughter who was now currently her only child.
Elsewhere in Granny's Diner, Emma soon joined David and Mary Margaret after leaving the restroom.
"How are you holding up?" David asked.
"How do you think?" Emma countered.
"Oh, Emma." Mary Margaret said softly before hugging her daughter.
Before anyone could wonder if things were going to get any worse, suddenly came a certain wicked woman who had been terrorizing Storybrooke for a while now as she held a certain dagger in one hand. "My condolences. So sorry I've missed the funeral, but I could never pass up to wake," she then smirked at the others. "Oh, did I miss the speeches? Shall I make one? I mean, I am, after all, responsible."
Emma glared as she leapt forward only for Mary Margaret to seize her daughter's arm.
"Emma, no. Too many people will get hurt." Mary Margaret advised.
"Listen to your mother," Zelena smirked. "Anyone who tries to interfere with my plan is gonna have to deal with the Dark One!"
"Don't come any closer." David demanded as he shielded his pregnant wife.
"Don't worry. I'm not here for your baby," Zelena smirked. "Not today, anyway."
"Then why are you here?" Evie asked as bravely as she could.
"Now, that my cover's blown, I can finally pay a visit to my little sister and niece." Zelena smirked.
"Who the hell are you talking about?" Regina demanded.
"Why you, of course, Regina." Zelena simply stated.
Everyone began to feel shocked.
"What?" Emma murmured.
"I'm an only child." Regina retorted.
"Cora lied to you, Regina. I'm your sister," Zelena argued. "Half, if you to get technical and that makes me your Auntie Zelena, dear Princess Evie." she then added smugly.
"Why should I believe anything you say?" Regina glared.
"Oh, you shouldn't. It's a lot to swallow," Zelena taunted. "This is why I brought a gift to help."
"I don't want a gift from you and neither does my daughter." Regina scoffed.
"But you shall have it. See, my gift to you is this sad, sad day. Use it to dig into our past, Regina," Zelena challenged. "You need to learn the truth and you must believe it. And then, meet me on Main Street tonight. Say, sundown."
"And then what?" Regina demanded.
"Then I'll destroy you." Zelena simply answered.
"What is this, The Wild West?" Evie scoffed slightly.
"No, dear. It's the Wicked West," Zelena clarified before she turned around to face the assembled guests. "And I want everyone to be there. To see the Evil Queen lose."
"I don't lose." Regina huffed.
"Neither do I. One of us is about to make history. See you tonight, Sis~" Zelena taunted before leaving the diner with a smug smirk.
Once Zelena left, everyone began to talk about her visit and what her link to Regina was. They began to try to attempt to make sense of the Wicked Witch's threat.
"And you're sure Cora never said anything about her?" David asked Regina after a brief discussion.
"I think I would remember if my mother told me she had a love child with a scarecrow." Regina scoffed.
"It doesn't matter if Zelena is your sister or not. She wants you dead," Emma declared. "Any idea why?" she then added.
"I've never even met her before today." Regina rolled her eyes.
"Doesn't mean you did something to piss her off." Emma reminded the dark-haired woman.
"You did manage to step a lot on people's toes back in our world." Tinkerbell added.
"Well, none of them were green." Regina scoffed.
"Isn't your favorite garden gnome a gnome from The Enchanted Forest?" Evie smirked.
"You're grounded." Regina glared at her daughter.
"There's that missing year," Granny spoke up. "Maybe you did something to her then."
"Stick to the lasagna, lady," Regina retorted before she got ready to leave the diner. "It's starting to sound an awful lot like you're on her side."
"Where are you going?" Emma asked the woman.
"To find out exactly what this witch thinks I did to her." Regina replied out of determination.
"Mom, I know you don't wanna talk about my dad, so let's talk about someone else," Evie then said suddenly. "Like Grandma and Aunt Zelena?"
Regina looked over before sighing. "Oh, all right," she then said before nodding. "You can come along, but let's try to keep a low profile and not get too many of your friends involved."
"Oh, I have a feeling that they might be busy for a while." Evie said since Jordan was in the diner and seemed to be sending a group text before leaving.
Regina sighed and gave in as she knew her daughter wouldn't give up and she should know since she raised Evie that way and all.
Later at the Mills' mausoleum, Regina was looking for something as Evie and Doug watched her nearby.
"Mom, is she telling the truth?" Evie wondered as she used her phone for light.
"I don't know. I haven't found anything yet," Regina replied before glaring slightly at the second teenager who kept them company. "And I thought I told you to keep this as a low profile."
"S-S-Sorry, Ms. Mills, I just wanted to help." Doug said nervously.
"Besides, Doug's cool, Mom," Evie replied. "I enjoy his good company."
Doug blinked with wide eyes before blushing as she said that about him.
"Are you sure Grandma didn't set any traps or stuff?" Evie then asked. "The last thing we need is another sleeping curse."
Doug then took out his phone as he heard it ping. "Ben says that Main Street is locked down in case the fight goes down and Jordan is gonna livestream the event. Everyone's spreading the word: #WitchFight." he then informed the mother and daughter.
"That'll do, Doug, that'll do," Evie nodded until she saw that her mother found a piece of paper. "Mom, did you find something?" she then added.
"A letter." Regina replied quietly as she looked it over in silence.
"What does it say?" Doug wondered.
Regina continued to read before she sighed. "Zelena IS my sister." she then confessed to them.
"Mom, what is it? Let's talk about this." Evie said hopefully.
"Nothing. Don't worry about it. It's my fight. I got it handled." Regina said before she hurriedly walked past Doug and Evie before leaving the vault.
"Man, what's up with your mom?" Doug asked Evie out of concern. "She seems really jumpy."
"I dunno, but I better go after her." Evie said before doing so.
"Did you mean what you said about me being good company?" Doug asked Evie hopefully on the way out of the mausoleum. "Evie? Hey, Evie!" he then added, sounding urgent as she seemed to ignore his question.
Doug and Evie then continued to follow Regina until they found her somewhere in the woods.
Again, Regina was silently reading the letter she found in her vault.
Patrolling the area, an armed Robin Hood recognized the former Evil Queen and decided to approach her. "We have to stop meeting like this." he then said to her as he greeted her.
Turning around, Regina pocketed the letter. "Did the Charmings or my daughter send you to give me a pep talk? 'Cuz I don't do all the pep talk." she then asked and added strongly.
"No, nothing of the sort. After Zelena's threat I decided to patrol the woods," Robin reassured her before he sat down beside her. "In case she'd decided to build the ranks of her simian army. How are you holding up?" he then added kindly.
"I'm not a flying monkey if that's what you mean." Regina smirked.
Robin chuckled at that answer. "So, you're gonna tell me what's in that letter you've been starring at?" he then asked her.
"What letter?" Regina asked innocently.
"This one," Robin simply stated as he held up the letter so that she could see that he had taken it. "I'm a pickpocket by trade. I spent many years learning how to rob from magicians." he then added skillfully.
"You're lucky I'm saving my strength for that witch." Regina glared.
"I think, deep down you actually wanna talk about what's in there." Robin retorted calmly.
"What makes you think you know me so well?" Regina demanded.
"Well, for one thing I'd be charred to a crisp by now, if you didn't." Robin retorted.
"True." Regina nodded.
"So, can I read it?" Robin then asked.
"Not stopping you." Regina shrugged, deciding it would be better not to argue with him.
"Can we hear about it too?" Evie's voice added.
"Evie!" Regina gasped at her daughter.
"Hi, Mom." Evie smiled innocently.
"You asked my daughter to come along?" Regina asked Robin firmly.
"Don't be mad at him, Mayor Mills, we just followed along," Doug reassured the former Evil Queen calmly. "We just wanna help you. After all, my dad and uncles all work together to help each other and your family can do the same."
"Among other friends like Doug and Mr. Hood." Evie added confidently.
"Well, all right, just don't go blabbing about this to your friends." Regina then said.
"We promise." Doug and Evie reassured her.
Regina nodded at that.
"Now then, may I?" Robin then asked.
"By all means, Mr. Hood," Evie allowed. "Go on ahead."
"Thank you," Robin nodded before he cleared his throat and began to read the letter aloud. "'Cora, dear. I've finally got my hands on your firstborn. Never thought I'd find her, did you? Now I know why: She's the most powerful sorceress I've ever encountered. Even more powerful than you. Stunning in every way'."
"So The Wicked Witch is Evie's aunt?" Doug asked Regina.
"More or less, yes." Regina admitted with a nod and shrug.
"Rather complimentary I'd say. Why is this troubling you?" Robin remarked and asked.
"I've seen that letter a hundred times before. In my darkest moments I'd go to it for comfort. For solace. For brace when I needed it," Regina explained emotionally. "Because I... Because I always thought it was about me."
"It's about Aunt Zelena." Evie realized.
"Rumpelstiltskin thinks she's more powerful than I am." Regina nodded as she continued to explain why the letter was plaguing her heart.
"Why do you care what that imp thinks?" Robin demanded.
"Excuse me," Evie piped up. "That imp is my best friend's father and my godfather."
"My apologies, Princess." Robin then said as he bowed his head to her.
"See that it doesn't happen again." Evie nodded at that.
Regina sighed as she began to explain herself in a downcast tone of voice. "Because, if the man who taught me everything I know about magic, thinks she is stronger than I am, then there's no way I can win this fight." she then added, sounding sorry for herself already.
Doug and Evie both frowned as they looked concerned about Regina right now, not sure what they could do to help. Evie looked like she wanted to know more information from her mother, especially about why she seemed to be trying to avoid a guy like Robin Hood, but decided to ask more about that later.
MEANWHILE...
Belle and Ben stood together by the storm cellar until they were given some attention.
"All clear! No sign of Zelena!" Emma called out as she and the others rushed out of the farmhouse. "It looks like she's still keeping Gold in the cellar!"
"Come on, Mom, we better hurry." Ben suggested.
Belle nodded as she and her teenage son soon hurriedly entered the storm cellar. "Rumple?" she then called out.
"Dad? You here?" Ben added.
"Belle? Benjamin?" Rumple replied, showing to be inside a cage like a wild animal.
"Dad, thank goodness," Ben said with a small smile. "We've come to free you."
"No, leave. Leave. You have no idea what this witch will make me do to you," Rumple urged his beloved and teenage son frantically. "She can't see you with me."
"We're not afraid," Belle reassured him. "You would never hurt us."
"It's futile," Rumple retorted. "As long as she holds the dagger I can't leave."
"We're not leaving without you." Ben said confidently.
"It's not worth the risk." Rumple shook his head.
"Just try. You just have to believe in us." Belle soothed before she offered Rumple a hand before he suddenly stood up.
"Run!" Rumple roared.
"WHAT?!" Belle and Ben asked out of surprise.
"Run! Go!" Rumple urged them.
"Don't let be. Carry on," Zelena smirked once she emerged from the shadows with The Dark One dagger. "I was just enjoying the show."
"Zelena!" Ben gasped and glared.
Gabrielle glanced over as she stood beside Zelena.
"What's Gabrielle doing here?" Ben wondered.
"Come on, Ben!" Belle said as she took her son's hand before that question could be answered as they fled the cellar.
Ben looked back at Gabrielle, but continued to follow his mother out to safety where Emma, David, Tinkerbell, and Mulan were waiting outside.
"Whoa, what happened?" Mulan asked.
"It was a trick," Belle said in tears as she hugged Tinkerbell. "She's toying with us."
"And she has Gabrielle in cahoots with her too." Ben added.
"Zelena sends a message!" Rumple announced as he came out of the storm cellar suddenly to scare them off. "She will face Regina and no one interferes. Next time you try to stop her I will kill you!"
Everyone began to look fearful and overwhelmed over what was going to happen to Storybrooke now.
"Oh, no, what have we done?" Gabrielle sulked to herself as she couldn't help but feel like this was all her fault somehow.
"Oh, don't fret, my dear, you were only doing what you were told," Zelena coaxed as she smirked and lifted up Gabrielle's chin to make their eyes meet. "After all, don't you want to see your parents again?"
"Yes, ma'am." Gabrielle admitted.
"Then you have to do what I say if you ever want to be reunited with them after they heartlessly abandoned you into my care," Zelena smirked darkly. "You can also help out when I fight my sister."
"But what can I do?" Gabrielle shrugged. "I'm not much of a fighter."
"We'll figure that out later, my dear, just as long as you do what Mama Zelena asks of you~" Zelena grinned and cackled, very fitting for a witchy woman like herself. "After all, don't you love Mama Zelena?"
"Yes." Gabrielle muttered.
"Yes, what?" Zelena demanded then.
"Yes, Mama Zelena." Gabrielle then said.
"Good," Zelena nodded. "Now be a good evil little girl and get ready for the fight and remember your instructions."
"Yes, ma'am." Gabrielle sighed wearily as she went to get ready for work.
Zelena nodded as she headed off to get herself ready as well before Rumple came back into his cage against his will. Rumple looked a little sorry for Gabrielle, but they were both just prisoners of The Wicked Witch's own device in conquering Storybrooke to come out on top for once over her half-sister, The Evil Queen. This was all over the news, especially for Jordan's live stream for her fellow students to follow up with or catch up on if they couldn't come to the event even though they were all invited.
"Citizens of Storybrooke, tonight, Storybrooke is under an official Wicked Witch Watch, meaning conditions are favorable for the development of a Wicked Witch," Regina began to report on the news live from city hall. "You should be prepared with supplies including a full bucket of room temperature water and at least two back-up buckets. Remember, the danger also comes from The Flying Monkeys accompanied in size. These beasts have been known to carry away full-grown adults as well as causing a transformation into another flying monkey and transmitting fleas! Note that flying monkeys are at large, flying squirrels are not a threat at this time, so please refrain from-" she then paused as a breaking story suddenly interrupted her broadcast. "I'm being told there's a broom sighting and The Wicked Witch is approaching from the town center in the west. Take cover and please do not discharge any firearms into the sky. If you have a bicycle, broom, or a pair of sparkly pumps, please secure them in a safe place. Stay strong, Storybrooke." she then advised as the broadcast ended and everyone in town saw this either on their phones or television sets.
Meanwhile, at night, Henry and Dee Dee were hanging around Killian.
"You didn't have to come." Henry said to Dee Dee.
"I thought it would be important if I did," Dee Dee replied. "These knots are a little harder than ballet slippers."
"I'll take your word about that." Henry remarked.
Dee Dee looked bashful about that.
"I think I've tried every knot in here," Henry soon said, showing th book that the adult pirate let him borrow as Killian was looking up to the sky. "When do we get to the part about my dad?"
"Just a few moments longer," Killian replied, waiting for the stars to rise until he soon nodded his head. "There. Come here." he then said before waving Henry over and held a certain device.
"What's this?" Henry wondered.
"That, my boy, is a sextant," Killian educated Henry. "It's used by sailors to navigate."
"Like a GPS?" Dee Dee asked.
Killian paused as he tried to think about it before he decided it would be easier to agree with that question. "Aye. It measures our position using the stars." he then said and explained.
"Not sure, if that's what a GPS does, but what does this have to do with my dad?" Henry said as e began to look curious.
"I taught him to navigate with one," Killian explained to Henry. "Just like I'm gonna teach you."
"Were you both in the Navy or something?" Henry asked.
"No, Bae-Neal was just a boy when I taught him." Killian clarified.
Dee Dee face-palmed at that answer.
"Wait. Aren't you the same age?" Henry soon asked out of confusion.
Killia soon looked frustrated with himself once he realized what he just told Henry which would be hard to believe if one wasn't around Storybrooke for as long as the others had... or even remember Storybrooke for that fact on its own in this case.
"It seems like the more you guys tell me about my dad, the less things make sense," Henry continued to say to the adult pirate "I don't wanna learn how to navigate. I just wanna hear something about him that doesn't make it sound like it's made up so I like this guy."
"Your mother isn't keeping things from you because she doesn't want you to know the truth." Killian advised Henry.
"I know she's doing it to protect me, but how am I supposed to feel anything about him being gone if I don't know what he was like when he was here?" Henry then said before he wondered more about what to do around here.
"Fair enough, mate. What I haven't told you is why I taught your father to sail," Killian admitted before he tried to explain in the best way he could that would make more sense to a fresh young mind. "Because he'd just lost his father. I thought the sea would help ease his sorrow."
"Ooh." Dee Dee whispered.
"Wait. He lost his dad, too?" Henry asked.
"Aye. To something dark and evil," Killian admitted as he explained more to Henry. "When he wasn't much older than you."
"Really?" Henry wondered.
"Indeed," Killian confirmed with a nod. "You see, you might not think you know much about your father but you have more in common with him than you realize." he then added.
Dee Dee looked soft from that while Henry looked thoughtful.
Meanwhile, on Main Street, the citizens began to assemble to watch the upcoming fight.
"Where are Evie and her mother?" Carla wondered.
"Doug, have you seen them?" Carlos added.
"Not for a while, but don't worry, they'll be here." Doug said confidently.
"Well, they better get here soon before The Wicked Witch turns Storybrooke into Monkeybrooke." Scarlett said urgently. "I am not spending the rest of my life with a stinky purple butt."
"Those are baboons, Scarlett." Doug clarified.
"Whatever!" Scarlett rolled her eyes. "I am not turning into a monkey."
"The children are right," Tinkerbell spoke up. "If Regina doesn't get here soon that witch will take it out on all of us."
"Let's take everybody out of here before that happens," David replied before he turned to the crowd and spoke up aloud to them. "Alright, listen up. We need you to get back to your homes!"
"No one's going anywhere," Zelena said as the crowd soon backed away from her and Rumple as they made it into town. "This show needs an audience. Out of my way, Munchkin." she then added to Dopey a bit threateningly.
"He's a dwarf." Ebony glared and corrected.
"That's even worse," Zelena scoffed. "Why do you even have cat ears?" she then added mockingly.
Ebony narrowed her eyes as she protected both Doug and Dopey.
"Where is she? Don't tell me. She's a coward. This isn't good. For all of you," Zelena continued to taunt the townspeople and their respectable descendants. "If my sister isn't here in five minutes I'm going to let the Dark One off his leash.
"Ooh, this is gonna be good." Jordan said to herself as she began to film her live stream.
"I wish my dad were here." Harry whispered.
"I'm sure he wishes he were with you too." Carla whispered back.
Gil even wrapped his arm around Amalie protectively as all they could do now was wait for Regina and Evie to arrive.
