Sister Fanfic: A Grand Order of Heroes(FeH x FGO)
Drip. drip. drip.
Water dripped from a nearby leaking pipe, and the droplet splashing was loud enough to reverberate across the prison.
Only the sounds of gunshots and bullets ricocheting on the prison walls drowned out the noise.
The loud explosions hit Gudao's body, numbing his ears to the sensations of the world. The culprit who had shot the weapon in such a confined space was a woman with silvery-pink hair wearing a red coat with a black skirt. This woman was none other than Florence Nightingale herself, the Angel of Crimea.
She is not the berserker servant Chaldea summoned but rather a stray one that manifested in this singularity. They had met nearly a week ago in Riverton and she nearly chopped off his arms. Thankfully, after months of interacting with his Nightingale, he was able to persuade this one to not do that.
"Miss Nightingale! Please! You must cease firing your weapon! It is damaging our ears more than the lock!" Lyn pleaded but Nightingale dismissed her concerns.
"Tinnitus is a serious illness, but it cannot be helped. There are patients to attend to, wounds to stitch, and limbs to amputate! So for now, cover your ears and I promise I will rip your ears off until they stop ringing once we get out of here!"
"That makes no sense-" Lyn was cut off by Nightingale as she continued to fire off more gunshots. The noise caused many of his companions to cover their ears and avoid the incoming ricochets-
A pinging sound pierced his ears, dulling his hearing once more. A beautiful, brass-colored blade was now a few inches away from his face, shielding him from whatever stray bullet had almost killed him. It was the Yato, the divine blade of Corrin.
"Are you alright Fujimaru-Kun?" The voice of his savior from the other world said. Her scarlet red eyes were looking at him with concern.
Unlike everyone else, she called him by his family name despite telling her that she could call him Gudao so that they could better differentiate between him and his sister, but she told him that she felt it would be improper of her to be so friendly so quickly. He relented and decided it brought no harm to let her add the '-kun' suffix at the end.
Speaking of his sister, Gudako had warned him that the hero summons, like Corrin, were "weak," but so far, many had proven to be at least servant-level in certain aspects. His sister had grown too accustomed to using servants and heroic spirits as measuring tools for strength that it had clouded her judgment.
While Hero summons were not all as powerful as servants, they were cheaper to summon inside singularities in greater quantities. If they wanted to, they could easily have a small platoon of hero summons to accompany them, since he doesn't even need to use his own prana to sustain them because they are alive.
However, bringing a small army into an unknown location was a bad idea, so they stuck to going in with a small group. It was a good thing they did because large numbers would have made no difference after what they just experienced in the last few days.
"I'm fine. Thanks, Corrin." Her expression softened and she let out a sigh of relief.
"Anchin! Are you okay?!" The deluded and love-filled voice of Kiyohime said as she rudely pushed Corrin aside and fretted over his body.
"Hey, watch it!"
Kiyohime paid no mind to Corrin and continued to inspect his body. She sighed in relief when she seemed to find nothing wrong, "thank goodness, you are alright."
Three more loud explosions rang out, and the vibrations caused by the collision shook his body, intensifying the ringing noise in his ears.
How many bullets did Nightingale have?
Kiyohime's mood shifted dramatically when she saw his discomfort, and shot a death glare at Nightingale, a sentiment that was mirrored by Corrin.
He had been told bringing them on missions together was a bad idea, but they both refused to let him go alone with either of them. He could have left them behind, but the last time he did that, they ended up being more feisty than normal.
It was always a lose-lose situation with them. Which was why it was so strange seeing them be so civil with each other, more civil at least, but he guessed the situation had called for it.
Their captor, Helena Blavatsky, had locked them up under this prison cell after refusing to side with Presi-King Thomas Edison's faction. The cell they were currently locked up in sealed their magical energy and the only way out was through the locked prison door that Nightingale was failing to shoot open.
A normal person would have given up and tried a different method, but she was a Berserker servant. Rational thinking was just not in their repertoire of skills, even in her more lucid state of mind.
The Berserker aimed at the lock once more, and he was able to brace his eyes and ears in time to muffle the noise, but nothing happened. He opened his eyes to see Saint Martha standing next to Nightingale with her hand on her shoulder.
"Patience is a virtue Miss Angel of Crimea, recklessness will only cause issues for us in the long run. You have my word that we will find a way to escape these confines, just have faith in us and in the lord's guidance." Martha said reassuringly, her hand seemed to have tightened slightly on Nightingale's shoulder. It was a gesture that had somehow calmed the Berserker down.
"I-I suppose you have a point, my apologies..." She turned towards the rest of us, eyes filled with distress and desperation.
"Please, help me."
"Fear not Angel of Crimea, for your anguish will not be for longer." An unknown voice echoed in the room, causing everyone to tense up and surround him protectively.
"Who are you?" Lyn said as she pointed her blade at the dark-skinned man, who appeared to look like a Native American.
The man raised his arms and introduced himself as Geronimo, the legendary shaman warrior that fought off 5,000 enemy soldiers with a small group of warriors. He was a stray servant who was the leader of the resistance against Edison and The Celts. He had come to rescue them.
"It normally would have taken me longer to find you, but the gunshots made it easier to pinpoint your location." The legendary Shaman carefully made his way toward the door, then unlocked it.
"There. You are free and will be able to receive magical energy again. Now come, we must make haste and escape. Once we deal with the mechanized infantry, it will only be a matter of time before the Hero of Charity is aware of our intentions."
Oh right. Karna.
The sole reason why they were trapped here in the first place.
He could have chosen to bring more overpowered servants, but aside from Mashu, he couldn't keep relying on the same ones over and over again, so he chose Martha and Kiyohime. The former was due to her wishing to join us since she hadn't seen action since Rome and Kiyohime because she felt left out, and also because her Noble Phantasm is really cool, so he decided to bring her along.
That being said, he couldn't bring just anyone with him. That applied especially so to Hero Summons. He appreciated their enthusiasm but Chaldea only brought the ones who proved themselves strong enough to handle the stronger mooks of the singularities, like Corrin, Lucina, and Lyn.
Lucina due to her prior experience with time travel and her anti-draconic blade, Lyn due to her speed and swords which can easily cut through armor, and Corrin, due to the weight of her draconic nature and divine blade.
They could easily keep up with the Heroic Spirits on missions, especially Corrin.
Heck, the only reason Corrin hasn't been killed by Kiyohine is that she can easily physically overpower her. Corrin only loses out to her due to not having a noble phantasm, but she has proven herself time and time again to be a valuable teammate.
Kiyohime knew this and attempted to unleash her Noble Phantasm on her on multiple occasions, but a command spell was enough to stop her from using it on allies.
…though he still regretted not bringing Karna along.
"Are you ready to go senpai?"
Gudao was brought out of his thoughts by the voice of his Kohai Mashu.
"Yes. I'm ready to go."
"Good. We will need to take them out as fast as possible, the sooner, the better, but try not to be too reckless." The shaman warrior said as he made his way to the exit, only to step out of the way a fraction of a second later.
A 'fwip' sound grazed his ear and he felt a cold chill run up his spine.
That had been close.
"Master!" His allies swarmed him once more, and this time they blocked the incoming hail of bullets from reaching him.
A large, metallic cross got in his face, protecting his head from being blasted open like a watermelon in a shooting range.
Another close call.
He thanked Saint Martha for the save, which she could only reciprocate with a nod. She was too focused on the enemies to turn toward him.
He turned to see where the bullet came from and winced at the sight. Even in this confined space, there was still a good deal of mechanized infantry that crowded the halls.
During all the chaos going on and the near-death experiences he was undergoing, a lone thought crawled up his brain. A random thought, but one he couldn't shake off his mind.
'I wonder what Gudako is doing right now.'

A young girl is sleeping peacefully in her dark, but luxurious room. Her snores were loud enough that even the servants down the hall could hear them. She was splayed over her queen-sized bed, her bedsheets thrown on the floor from all the tossing and turning she did while asleep.
Suddenly, the door to her bedroom slammed open.
"Waah!"
And caused her to jolt up from her bed from the sudden jump scare.
"Master, wake up, I have come to announce the start of the Christmas event." Karna in a dark but festive outfit said.
"Already?" Gudako checked her calendar, and her eyes widened in surprise when they landed on the day that had confirmed Karna's declaration.
"Huh. What do you know? You're right. Merry Christmas then."
"Merry-"
"Happy Winter Festival Gudako!" And suddenly, Anna had shown up at her doorstep in a sexy Christmas outfit.
"And I keep telling you, it's called Christmas." Karna was expressionless but even with the monotone in his voice, it was easy to tell he did not approve of the name.
"Well, we call it the Winter Festival here. It is a time to be merry for sure but from times of old it has always been called-." Anna's history lesson was cut short when Karna Santa interrupted her.
"Well, In the words of my good rival Siegfried, I apologize… but you are wrong."
Anna frowned at Karna, crossing her arms in defiance of his dismissal, "Hold on just a minute there bub. Our culture has just as much right to be acknowledged as yours!"
"I have nothing against your customs being aggregated to ours... but your term is too much of a mouthful, Christmas."
"Winter Festival."
"Christmas."
"Winter Festival!"
"Anna, do you wish for me to beat the true meaning of the Christmas spirit into you?" Karna said as he cracked his knuckles.
"Bring it on Scrawny Claus!" She assumed a fighting stance while beckoning him over to go ahead and attempt to punch her in the face.
"Uh guys, before you start clobbering each other, I want to know. Do I still get a present?"
Both Anna and Karna stopped glaring at each other before they turned to stare at Gudako.
Both pulled out big gifts for her.
"Horray, thank you so much!"
Karna smiled when he saw his master's glee, "Tis the season to be merry and good fortune for those who are nice..."

"...though it's unfortunate for you since you had to run into me twice," Karna said with cold indifference as he stared them down.
They had managed to jump out of the frying pan and fell right into the fire. Quite literally, because their escape had led them to be met by the Hero of Charity, Karna.
Gudao was really regretting not bringing their own Karna on this mission or Gilgamesh.
'Focus.' He took a deep breath to calm his nerves.
'Okay, it isn't too bad, Karna may be overpowered but that doesn't mean it's the end of the world. We can still find a way out of this!'
Karna got into a battle-ready stance, his golden spear aimed at his group. Then, his weapon erupted in flames and morphed into a glowing rod of light. He jumped into the air and prepared his body to launch it at them.
"Bramastra-"
Oh shit!
"Kun-dah!" By the grace of some deity, Martha came to the rescue by unleashing a giant four-legged dragon on Karna. The evil dragon had swatted Karna away before he could finish his sentence, like a cat swatting away a bird.
Karna's lance dissipated, and his body skipped across the plains akin to a rock skipping across a pond.
The giant dragon landed next to him with a heavy thud, kicking up a cloud of dust and causing a small tremor that nearly made him lose his balance.
"Master! Get on my Tarrasque! We must flee!" Before Gudao even had a chance to respond, he was picked up by Corrin in her dragon form and placed on her back.
"Lady Martha, take the others with you. I'll follow!"
Martha stared at Corrin for a while before sighing and addressing the rest of the group, "quickly! Get on my dragon!" Mashu, Lyn, Lucina, Geronimo, and Nightingale quickly made haste to ride the evil dragon. It was comical just how crowded the dragon's back was.
He then felt a small pair of dainty hands envelop his waist in a hug. "Ah, Anchin! To have your presence so close to me makes this humiliating position all the more bearable~" Corrin had allowed Kiyohime a piggyback ride. It was a surprising sight but he wasn't complaining.
Then, he felt the rush of wind as Corrin dodged away from a red beam of light as fast as she could. It was such a sudden motion that he was unable to stop the back of his head from hitting Kiyohime's nose.
"Aaaahhh now waaay!"
Gudao became alarmed by the sound Kiyohime made. He turned around to see her, only to be met with the final motes of light of the berserker servant disappear into nothingness.
In the distance, he could see the Hero of Charity hunched over while holding his right arm. Tarrasque had somehow hurt him but he still had enough energy to shoot eye beams at them. He couldn't help but swallow a lump of dread that had formed when he locked eyes with the Indian Lancer.
"Let's get out of here!"
With that command given, Corrin galloped alongside Tarrasque further into the plains.

Author's Note: Sorry it took a while, I got back into the gacha and was too busy trying to play through the game and doing some grinding. I know this is the Serious Side Reels but the middle bit was just my way of showing just how jarringly disruptive festive events can be during the main campaign.
Also, Good news everyone! I finally beat E Pluribus Unum! The ideas are already flowing in my brain; Unfortunately, I will be slowing down updates from here on out. I want to flesh out the side story and hopefully build a backlog of chapters since all I have are disconnected ideas that I need to work on.
Thanks again for reading.
