The family sat around the table with bated breath, Bruno had agreed to do another vision after ten years. It hadn't even taken that long to convince him to do it, either. All Julieta had to do was mention that she had doubts about going through with Mirabel's operation, as she didn't want her to go through the pain of the surgery if it wasn't going to work. Also, there was the fact that Mirabel would be put to sleep for the surgery, which itself was risky, what if she never woke up again?

Antonio quickly started to panic about the fact that Mirabel might die, and Bruno surprised the whole family by standing up and offering to look into the future to learn if the surgery was going to be a success or not.

He'd been up in his room for an hour now, which Julieta and Pepa knew meant that he had probably just reached his vision cave, it will still be an hour and a half, to an hour before they got any answers.

"If we do the surgery," Julieta suddenly said, breaking the silence, "Mirabel's probably going to need lots of rest when we get home. The nursery should get a good scrubbing before we get home. The cleaner her environment is the less likely she'll develop an infection."

"Why does Mirabel have to be stuck in the Nursery?" Antonio asked.

"Because she doesn't have her own room," Isabela answered.

"Why can't she have her own room?" Antonio questioned.

Isabela, Luisa, Dolores, and Camilo all looked at each other in confusion over Antonio's head. Why couldn't Mirabel have her own room?

"You know," Luisa signed, "There's the storage room by my room that hasn't been used in years, I bet there isn't anything in there that we'll miss if we got rid of it and then…"

"Let's keep it a secret," Isabela insisted, " We can surprise Mirabel when she gets home."

Luisa looked over to where Mirabel was sitting next to their mother, before saying out loud, after all, it wasn't going to spoil the surprise for Mirabel anyway, "Abuela?"

Abuela looked up surprised by the sudden noise, "Si, Luisa?"

"Don't tell Mirabel about this," Isabela interrupted, "It's going to be a surprise."

"Yes, well," Luisa said, her eye twitching nervously, "I was wondering, is it possible for us to turn that storage room next to mine, with all the old furniture in it, into a bedroom for Mirabel? We can work on it while Mama and Mira are in the city, and surprise Mira with it when she gets home."

Julieta's eyes lit up, "I think that's a wonderful idea, and I can't remember the last time we actually took something out of that room, and Mirabel will love having her own room."

Mirabel looked up quizzically and, after tugging on Julieta's skirt to get her attention, asked, "What's going on, what's everyone talking about?"

"Just something that's happening in the village right now," Julieta lied, "Nothing you need to worry about." She then cleared her throat and looked expectantly at her mother, "What do you think Mama?"

Alma smiled warmly, honestly she had been worrying about where to put Mirabel now that her hermanas and prima were of marrying age. Soon they would need the nursery for their own kids. "I've totally forgotten about that room," she admitted, shaking her head sadly, "and I've been contemplating what to do with Mirabel. It is past time that she got her own room."

"Let's go see what we need to do," Isabela exclaimed, jumping up.

Bruno held the prophecy in his hand, he had done it, he had had a vision with a good outcome. Not only was Mirabel going to recover perfectly from her surgery, regaining her hearing, but it appeared that she will take on a new role, helping his mama as a Candle Holder. Finally, a vision he can show his family.

The kids had all run off, most of them were in the old storage room, sorting through everything to clear it out so that they can transform it into a bedroom for Mirabel, but Antonio had been sent to bed due to how late it was, and Mirabel was in the nursery, packing so that she would be ready to go to the city in the morning for her surgery. If Bruno confirms that nothing bad would happen because of the trip.

Julieta was in the kitchen, finishing up some hard candy that would deal with any emergencies while she was gone, and the consequential band from the kitchen she would have when they return. From the information she was given, healing Mirabel right off the bat was going to do more harm than good. Special stitchings and padding would be placed in Mirabel's ears during the surgery which was designed to dissolve during the natural healing process. Julieta didn't want to risk them not dissolving properly by healing Mirabel, so she was banning herself from the kitchen. That way she wouldn't have to worry about Mirabel accidentally getting some of her healing food and damaging her healing process.

Agustin and Felix were playing a card game as Alma and Pepa talked in a low voice together. Upon learning about the villagers, which had been a problem since the triplets were five, Alma was determined to learn what she can about each of her children and grandchildren and correct all the wrongs she had done. It seemed to be working as the cracks in Casita were receding.

"Mama, Juli?" Bruno called out, walking into the dining room with a green slab of glass in his hands, "Are you in here?"

Julieta immediately wiped her hands on her apron and entered the dining room from the kitchen, "Bruno, you had the vision, what was it?"

"Mirabel will be groggy when she wakes up, they'll keep her overnight in the hospital and then you'll spend one more day before coming home," Bruno announced, "So you'll need to pack for three nights," that had also been a concern how long would she be gone, "She'll be kind of sore for a couple of days after getting home, but she makes a full recover and starts training to take over as Candle Holder from Mama."

"What about Candle Holder?" Abuela asked, stepping into the dining room from the other direction in time to hear Bruno mention the Candle Holder.

"You're going to start training Mirabel as Candle Holder after she recovers from her surgery," Julieta announced, "Which I think is a grand idea, you aren't going to be around forever and Mirabel is an excellent choice for a successor."

Alma blinked, honestly she hadn't even thought about what would happen after she died, but Julieta had a point, the Candle Holder was a crucial part of life in the Encanto, someone was going to have to take her place sometime, and Mirabel was an excellent candidate. She was Kind and loving and understanding and hopefully knew how to keep a level head. As for starting training now, Mirabel could use the training, and it will help her feel like she actually belongs.

"Mama?" Bruno asked, nervously, not liking the silence.

"I never thought about that," she admitted, "But I think it is an excellent idea, Mirabel will make a wonderful Matriarch one day, she seems to have inherited Julieta's level-headedness, and almost everyone in town loves her. Of course, we'll have to wait until after the surgery to ask Mirabel. It won't be right for me to decide her future for her."

Bruno and Julieta looked at each other, was this really their mother, she had changed so much this past month.

Luisa stared at the piece of furniture that she had just uncovered, the dustcloth she had pulled off it still clutched in her hand, if they ever needed a sign that this room was meant to be Mirabel's, this was it. In front of her stood an old dresser. It was wider than most dressers she had seen with several, different size drawers, along the front. At the top of the dresser were several flat, small, rectangle drawers, that Luisa discovered held needles and pins, and other small sewing essentials. Under the row of needles was a row of deep, small square drawers, that contained different styles of buttons and hooks and eyes. The drawer under that was twice as deep as a normal one, and once it pulled out, Luisa discovered that the top unlatched to reveal a neat stand with pegs, a few stray spools of thread revealed what it was for, storing thread in a way that you could see all of their colors. The last two drawers were normal size, one on top of the other. One contained several books of patterns and the last one was full of fabric samples.

Mirabel would love this! Luisa could see her keeping the chest fully stocked. It was exactly what she needed for her craft stuff. She looked it over, it was scuffed up and there were char marks on one side as if this sewing chest had survived a fire. She examined the damage and frowned, this was going to need work done on it. That was going to cost money, something she hadn't thought about when they started the project.

"Hey Luisa, what did you find?" Camilo asked, approaching her with a box full of old toys that were moth-eaten and falling apart.

"It's some sort of sewing chest," Luisa explained, showing him the drawer for storing thread.

Camilo's eyes grew round, "Mirabel is going to love that!" he announced, "I mean come on, that has got to have her name on it somewhere."

"What's going on over here?" Dolores asked as she and Isabela appeared, Dolores carrying a bucket of water, Isabela a pile of rags.

"Look at this and tell me that it is not the perfect thing for Mirabel's new room," Luisa said, showing it to them.

"It's damaged," Isabela pointed out, jabbing the chest in the center of the char marks."

"Maybe Papi can help us fix it," Dolores offered, "He helps Abuelo in his carpentry shop all the time."

"Let's show him."

Felix and Agustin were putting away the cards from their game when the kids came charging downstairs calling over each other.

"Papi you have got to see what we found in the storage room," Camilo shouted, charging into the room, "It's perfect for Mirabel, but we need help fixing it for her."

"What did you find?" Felix asked, standing up.

"This," Luisa announced, setting the sewing chest down, "The drawers are specifically designed to hold sewing supplies, Mirabel will love it."

Agustin laughed, "I wondered where this went," he admitted, "When we got here and Pa decided to be a farmer instead, and Mama was busy with me and my hermanas…"

"You know where it came from?" Isabela asked.

"Of course," Agustin announced, "My Abuelo made it for my Padres wedding since they were planning on opening their own tailor shop," he touched the char marks on the wood, "That happened when raiders attacked our village, after that we loaded it into our wagons and headed to the mountains hoping that there was more to the rumors about a hidden village that was protected from raiders and ended up here."

"So it's a family heirloom?" Dolores asked.

"I guess so," Agustin said, "I probably should talk to my parents and sisters and make sure that it's okay to give it to Mirabel, although, out of everyone from my side of the family, I think that Mirabel is the only one who would be able to use it. If we get it fixed up."

"I can help with that," Felix promised, "But it's getting late now. You better put that back where you found it so Mirabel doesn't see it and head to bed. Julieta and Mirabel are leaving first thing in the morning so tomorrow we can really get things done."

"I hope we can get everything done before Mirabel gets back," Isabela said.

"We have three and a half days," Agustin announced, "We'll have to work fast."

"I bet we can get some help from the villagers," Camilo suggested, "Those who aren't mean to her because she doesn't have a gift absolutely love her."

"With their help, we're bound to be done in time."
