Zackrin8: Fun as that sounds, I'm not really sure of it myself. I mean, I did use to do Fem!Vali in my DxD stories but that was a while back, now I barely do it.

FailedKeikaku: To be fair, in DxD canon, we don't know if the Devils were punished for the mass genocide by the Youkais or if they somehow got away with it.

DerangedDegenerate242: To be fair, not much is know of the massacre. At least, I don't know much of it myself apart from what i've read in other DxD stories. I just know that the 'official' story is; Kuroka went mad with power, killed her master, leading the Devils to fear it happening again so they exterminated all Nekomatas, Koneko was about to be executed for her sister's crimes but Sirzechs stepped in and prevented that, before putting Koneko under Rias' care.

3bodyjaa: Thanks.

Disclaimer: I do not own High School DxD. I only own the OC Damian Mammon-Lucifer.

Irene Belserion was a very beautiful woman. Wherever she went, men and women stared at her in awe and lust. She's had many try to court her only to fail in the end, even those she's taken to her bed couldn't satisfy her, even if they were supernatural. Her pride as a dragon refused to take a weak mate, so she settled for just satisfying her needs and being done with it rather than choosing someone to be her mate. Humans, Devils, Fallen Angels, Youkai, none were strong or had the potential to be her mate no matter what.

Though a potential new mate was just about the last thing on Irene's mind right now, as she battled against another Dragon in her own Dragon form... and she was losing. Badly. Her body was battered and bruised, her Dragon wings tattered and torn, to say that she was in a bad way would have been an understatement on par with Hirohito saying that World War 2 hadn't developed in Japan's favour, and Jeffrey Dahmer having really messed up.

And to add insult to injury, the Dragon she was currently fighting against wasn't even that hurt by anything she'd managed to do to it. And even worse, said Dragon was MOCKING her!

The Dragon was known as Fafnir, or the Gigantis Dragon, one who was seriously giving her a run for her money. Young and foolish, that's what she had been when she entered this battle. She was arrogant in her abilities, believing that her new found strength would put her on the same level as the Five Great Dragon Kings.

He had utterly destroyed her. Even her ability of flight was rendered obsolete. Even her strongest attack only managed to slightly damage his scales.

"You are powerful, Irene Belserion."The Gigantis Dragon boomed. "Given enough time you may have very well surpassed me and all the other Great Dragon Kings." Irene closed her draconic eyes in preparation. She knew what was to come, Dragons were prideful creatures and would never willing allow someone to surpass them. "No hard feelings." Fafnir took a deep breath and took a deep breath. Energy gathered in its jaws and Irene braced herself. "RRRROOOOAAAARRRR!"

Seconds passed, with the fact that Irene was still alive meaning Fafnir hadn't destroyed her yet. Seconds turned to moments, and Irene's curiosity momentarily overwhelmed her fear, causing her to open her one good eye to see what was going on. Stood between her and Fafnir, much to her surprise, was a humanoid figure. Given the intense beam of energy coming from Fafnir's mouth that he seemed to be deflecting with both hands, Irene couldn't fully make out his appearance.

But what she COULD make out wasn't with her eyes, more with her nose. There was no doubting it, this humanoid creature... was a Devil.

After a couple more seconds, Fafnir closed his mouth, allowing the energy-beam to dissipate. Clearly pissed-off, he looked down at the Devil that had interrupted his kill.

"WHO DARES?!" he roared, his eyes narrowing as he drew himself up to his full height as an attempt at intimidation.

"I do." When Irene heard the Devil speak, she had been expecting a older, male voice. So imagine her shock and surprise when the voice was that of a young boy. She looked and saw it was indeed a young Devil, about thirteen years old from the smell of him, and he stood between her and Fafnir... protecting her!

"A Devil? A CHILD! A mere CHILD deflected my attack?!" Fafnir roared in fury as he lifted a leg. "Begone, filth!"

He slammed his leg down on where the child Devil was standing, causing Irene to look away. Despite her arrogant attitude to some, she couldn't stand hurting or attacking children. Her maternal instincts roared at the sight of seeing a child hurt, and she was reminded of the daughter she had been looking for, the reason she wanted to grow so strong.

"Was that it?" Both Dragons heard the Devil ask and looked to see he wasn't where he had been standing. "Over here!" They both looked over to see him leaning against a tree with a smirk on his face. "You know, I hear tales of how strong Dragons are... but you aren't living up to those stories, pal."

Fafnir let out a growl of annoyance, firing another beam of energy right at where the Devil was stood, but before the beam had travelled all the way there, the Devil had warped away, causing the beam to strike the tree and reduce it to... not even splinters, to be honest, but the Devil was still long gone.

Raising her head up, Irene quickly charged up a powerful energy-breath attack of her own, and fired it from her mouth at Fafnir, while his back was turned. She might have been injured, but her aim was still true, as the beam she had fired struck Fafnir in the back of the head, causing him to stumble forward and immediately round on Irene, fire dancing in his mouth as he glared at her.

However, before he could even attack back, he was met with a powerful explosion at his side, sending him rolling over and away from Irene, whose eyes followed him go for a couple of seconds before they flicked back to where the explosion had come from. It had now dissipated, leaving the Devil (clearly the one who had caused the explosion in the first place) standing there, but Irene found herself slightly curious as she got another whiff of the elements that had comprised that explosion.

Darkness (which made sense, considering he was a Devil) and... light. Not just any light, either, but a kind of light she hadn't smelled in a while.

'That's... impossible, unless he's...' Irene's thought process was interrupted as she watched the Devil create a barrier of light that blocked Fafnir's fire, then he fired a beam of darkness which struck the dragon in the chest, causing him to roar out in pain. Irene took the chance to charge up from behind and tackle the other dragon, scratching and clawing him, biting at his jugular.

"Get... OFF!" Fafnir roared as he threw Irene off and tailed smacked her before he went straight for her throat when a sword of darkness pierced one of his eyes, causing him to roar in utter agony as he clutched at the bleeding eye socket. Irene looked over to see the Devil charging, opening his right hand and a sword appeared in it. It was a silver-colored longsword. The blade is long and double-edged, with the forward-facing edge curving outward to form the guard. The handguard is is designed to resemble a vortex that reverses at the center of the handguard. The pommel carries a round piece that almost resembles a face.

"Time to end this!" The Devil shouted as he leaped, ran up Irene's back much to her surprise, then used her snout as a springboard to jump and he slashed his sword across Fafnir's throat, causing blood to gush out, some of which got on Irene and she backed up in surprise. Fafnir choked and gurgled before he fell over, now dead.

Now, Irene turned her attention to the Devil that had helped her... saved her.

"Are you okay?" the Devil asked, from his position on the ground, his neck slightly craned as he looked up at Irene. "Uhh, can you access a human form, or will I have to fly up so I don't strain my neck looking up at you? I can do either, but..."

Irene nodded, understanding what the Devil was saying and figuring that something like that was the least she could do for someone who had saved her freaking life. She was enveloped in pink light for a second, and shrunk down to a human-looking form: featuring long, thick scarlet hair done up into braids with bows. She also wore a rather... risqué, version of what one would expect a typical witch to wear, with a lot of her fine body exposed to the world. Though most of it was covered in wounds of varying severity, and one of her eyes had been entirely blown out.

In spite of her injuries, Irene- now in her human form- stood up as straight as she could, though she was forced to lean a bit on her staff, which she materialized with a wave of her hand.

"I suppose I must... thank you, for saving my life." she remarked. "Why come and help me out, though? Who are you?"

"My name's Damian. I'm a Devil and I came to help because... that guy looked like a freaking jackass and you weren't getting the upper hand of him." The now named Damian said, adverting his eyes a little at the sight of her buxom figure which made Irene mentally smirk. She expected that reaction everywhere she goes. A dragon always take pride in their appearance.

"I figured you were a Devil, but... you smell of light as well. And I witnessed you using Light Magic." Irene said with a narrowed eye, which reminded her of her other eye being blown out, something she'd have to fix. "How does a Devil know Light Magic? I know of only one other who had access to it."

"My dad?" Damian blinked at that.

Irene blinked as well. "You're Revan's son?"

"Yeah... you know my dad?!" Damian asked in shock as he stared wide eyed at her.

"We met a long time ago, had a brief fight, parted ways with respect for one another." Irene shrugged. it had been an entertaining fight in her opinion. Revan had potential as a mate, even though he wasn't a Dragon, but a dragoness always seeks a strong mate, regardless of their race. However, Revan was attracted to another and politely rejected her advances. "So, you're Revan's son... hmm, you have his eyes."

"Thank you. So, do you need help or anything?" Damian asked, looking genuinely concerned about her current state. Irene could smell that he was genuine in his concern for her, which was s surprise since most Devils she's met have faked their concern and sincerity in order to lower her guard to either rape her or bring her into their Peerages. "Your eye looks pretty bad."

Irene didn't reply at first, not wanting to admit that her lack of eye (among other wounds) REALLY hurt. She averted her eye from Damian, hoping that he'd just leave her alone and let her figure out a solution to her wounds on her own. Maybe she could put together a magical eye to replace the one that had been blown out, but she could do nothing with this Devil around.

But before she could do anything, or even try and leave, she felt a warm, pleasant energy washing over her body, particularly the area surrounding her blown-out eye. She looked up, and saw Damian having raised a hand, focusing healing energy through said hand and directing it all over Irene's body.

"I doubt this'll do anything about, you know..." he remarked, gesturing to his own eye. "But at least it'll make it less painful. And heal most of the lesser injuries you've got, you know?"

"...Thank you." Irene muttered, having never felt the need to apologize for anything, but... maybe it was her maternal instincts softening her at having a child help her. Well, a young teenager but by her standards, he was still a child. He'd only not be a child in her eyes if he proved his strength and power. And from what she saw, the way he took down Fafnir... was just a taste of what he had in him.

Still wasn't enough though.

Once she felt most of the lesser injuries and the pain leave her body, she pushed herself to her feet but used her staff to stay upwards. She then looked at Damian and was confused as to why he's still there before it occurred to her and she rolled her eyes.

"Kid, while it's flattering you want a beautiful woman like me in your Peerage, I'm gonna have to pass. Most Devils just want to make me their servant to fuck me and have bragging rights of dominating the Queen of Dragons."

"Wait... YOU'RE the Queen of Dragons? The woman who's said to go toe-to-toe with Tiamat herself?" Damian asked with awe that made Irene fell pride at hearing someone speak of one of her greatest accomplishments.

No, she wasn't an actual queen, it was only a title. But she had proven that she had earned it through her power and strength. However, she did like the idea of being an actual Queen...

She shook the thought away and looked at the Devil. "Yes, I am. Be thankful you're cute and that I'm not some mean bitch who kills those who help me. Now, go on home."

She turned to leave but Damian called her to her. "Yeah, I can't. I actually just left home three months ago." Irene turned to him with a raised eyebrow. "I'm... on a journey to become more stronger and powerful, to surpass even the original Lucifer himself, my grandfather. And I also need to build up my peerage... because I made a promise to someone."

"Well, kid, go find someone else. I ain't interested in being some slave to someone who just wants my body." Irene said, turning to continue walking.

"When did I say I just wanted your body?" Damian asked, quickly dashing around so he was in front of Irene. "I don't remember saying that."

"Fair point, though I'd still not rather deal with the chance of that happening." Irene replied. "It's cute that you want to keep your promise to someone, whatever that promise might be, but I don't want to get involved in anyone else's problems. I've got enough on my own plate to deal with, thanks."

Irene moved past Damian again, sighing.

"Like what?" The curious Devil couldn't help but ask as he walked beside her.

'Good God, this kid doesn't stop.' Irene thought with a mental groan. She threw him an annoyed look to convey her current feelings. "None of your business."

"Hey, I helped you out." Damian said with a frown as he continued to follow her. He didn't know what was driving him to do so, as he could tell she was pretty strong and powerful, despite being nearly beaten by that other dragon, and she had willingly refused to join his peerage and he wasn't the type to force anyone into it against their will... unless they were his enemies and he was giving them a punishment that his grandfather would be proud of.

"And I'm thankful, though I don't need a kid to help me." Irene said, not looking at him. Quietly, she muttered to herself. "Not when I've got my own kid to find."

"You have a child?"

Irene froze in her steps 'Shit. Forgot Devils have good hearing.'

She turned around, sighing again as she tried to keep her frustration down.

"Yes, I do have a child." she replied. "And she's missing. She's been missing for a long time."

"I can help you find her." Damian remarked. "Two people searching for someone would be better than one, right?"

Irene closed her eyes, thinking over what Damian had just said. He WAS correct that two people searching for someone- namely Irene's daughter- would be much easier than just her searching for them. Although...

"And what do you get out of this?" Irene asked with narrowed eyes. "I've dealt with your kind enough to know that when you aid someone, you want something in return. As that saying goes 'Making a deal with the Devil.'"

"Okay, I can understand the caution. Others of my kind probably haven't given you a good impression since we are a bunch of greedy pricks who don't know when to leave well enough the fuck alone. But I ain't like the others. So look, I'll help you find your daughter and once it's all said and done... I'll leave you alone. Yeah, I did consider making you Queen of my peerage and all, but... I think I can look elsewhere."

"Alright." Irene replied, nodding. "Glad we've got an understanding, Damian."

Damian nodded in return, inwardly disappointed that the first major candidate for such a high position in his peerage had gone and turned him down like she did, but still hopeful that he could at least find a friend in Irene, while they searched for her daughter.

Who knew? Maybe she could teach him a thing or two and help him get stronger during... however long this would take.

Yeah, this entire chapter was about Damian meeting Irene... the future Queen of his Peerage, just throwing that out there right now.
