CrimsonEnigma1: She is.
Disclaimer: I do not own High School DxD. I only own the OC Damian Mammon-Lucifer.
Damian and Irene came through the portal, finding they were somewhere in the mountains. However, thankfully they didn't have to look far because they were standing outside of a cave. A very dark, scary cave.
"Caves... it's always caves." Damian said as he and Irene walked inside and the redheaded mage conjured a ball of light to give them more light, despite the fact Damian can see in the dark and Irene would have better senses and vision due to being a dragon, but a little more light never hurt anybody.
"Scared?" Irene asked with a smirk.
"Nope. It just seems so cliché. Guys backstabs his sibling, flees to the mountains and hides." Damian pointed out, causing Irene to shrug uncaringly. "You really don't care, do you?"
"All I care about is finding my daughter. So let's track down Qrow, kill him and return Raven's mask to her so she can tell us what she knows and we can move on." Irene said firmly. Damian just sighed but nodded.
"Wonder why Qrow would betray his own sister." Damian said.
"They're in a tribe of bandits with a survival of the fittest mentality." Irene said, looking around as they continued to traverse the caves. "It's obvious Qrow wanted to lead and was jealous of his sister, as is the case with most sibling rivalries, and so he attempted to kill and overthrow her, but failed, so he snatched her mask and fled here, knowing that without it Raven will be turned on by the rest of the tribe."
"Hmm... sounds smart, but cowardly and gutless because he's not the one doing it himself, he's using others to do it for him." Damian said. "Clearly Raven was always the better skilled of the two if he can't defeat her."
"Absolutely so." Irene replied. "And I'm sure that he won't be difficult to take down, if he's all on his own. I don't see or smell any signs of other bandits around here. Or any life at all, for that matter, sans just us.
"Right." Damian replied as they came out the cave into a stormy wind. "Well, it's pretty stormy up here," he raised his voice, which could barely be heard otherwise, to make a point. "So maybe we'd have better luck looking anywhere that you could get decent shelter!"
"Good idea!" Irene nodded, as the two beings spread their respective wings and began to fly over the mountain-range.
With his great eyesight, Damian searched anywhere he could see for a crow or a guy that looked... actually, he should've asked Raven what Qrow looked like. Mentally assuming Qrow probably looks like a male version of Raven, Damian used that as a leverage to find his target.
The sound of a crow caught his attention and he looked, only to be attacked by a crow that screech in his face while trying to peck his eyes out.
"Hey! I already watched Hitchcock's The Birds, and I have no intention of having my eyes pecked out by some dusty old bird!" Damian shouted as he grabbed the bird and threw it right into the side of the mountain, causing it to caw in pain before it flew away with Damian flying after it, knowing this had to be Qrow because he doubted a random bird would attack him for no reason.
Irene followed suit, firing the occasional shot of energy past Damian and at the crow at the crow out of her staff as she flew, not wanting to deal with the idea of the crow flying back around and trying to attack her or the young Devil again. Not when had actually been pretty decent company so far, if nothing else.
Devil and Dragon chased the crow throughout the mountain-range, bobbing and weaving through the mountain-peaks that they came past as they tried to keep up with the corvid. Both of them fired shots of their respective signature energies at the creature, doing their best to score any kind of hit on it.
"This has got to be that Qrow guy, right?" Irene asked, having to shout over the howling wind to make herself heard.
"Probably!" Damian yelled back, firing another bolt of light at the bird. "It's not like anything else has come and attacked us so far!"
The crow swopped and flew, avoiding their attacks before it flew through an entrance into the mountains with it's pursers still coming after it, following through the mountain. Irene narrowed her eyes as she charged up some magic in ehr staff before firing it at a part of the wall, causing rocks to crumble and try to hit the crow, which one did that caused the crow to shriek and try to avoid the rest but it's brief halt had allow Damian to catch up and literally smack that bird right into Irene who gripped it tightly.
"Enough of these damn games, you rotten little bird." Irene growled before the crow cawed loudly in her face, causing her to wince and hold her ears but because she had her staff in one hand, she had to let the crow go. The crow flew, ducking past Damian's arm and flew towards what appeared to be some kind o camp.
"Looks like our boy is getting a little tired of this." Damian said as he and Irene continued their pursuit.
"Good." Irene growled and blasted the crow directly with a beam of energy, sending it crashing through a table and it soon changed into a man who looked very similar to Raven, just with shorter hair and... smelled like alcohol.
"Damn, this guy clearly had one too many." Damian said as he covered his nose. "Did he drink a whole bar out of business?"
"He's an alcoholic." Was Irene's dry response as they landed on their feet and brought their wings back in as the man got to his feet.
"Did you have to do that?" The man asked with a slur in his voice. Yeah, he was drunk.
"Qroq Branwen, I take it?" Damian asked as he summoned his own sword, Judgment, which was the longsword he used to save Irene from Fafnir. It was created from him combing the Primordial Power of Darkness and Light Magic to create a Holy-Demonic sword somehow.
"Who wants to know?" Qrow retorted as he gripped his weapon, which was a scythe.
"Your sister sent us here to bring back her mask... and your head." Irene said with a glare as she aimed her staff at him.
"Mask, mask..." Qrow groaned, clutching his head. Irene almost sneered in contempt of the bearded drunkard, but kept it down for now, choosing to simply glare at him.
"Ugh, this?" Qrow bent down and, with one hand, picked up what looked like a rather ornate face-mask. It was carved to look like the face of some kind of monster, clearly meant for intimidation when worn on the face.
"Yeah, that." Damian replied. "Though if you were to just give it up, nice and easy, we won't have to kill you. You can just keep doing... whatever it is you're doing up here, with no-one to bother you. That sure sounds better than getting killed over that mask, don't you agree?"
"In any other time... I'd probably agree." Qroq said as he put the mask away. "But since my sister is the one that sent you two here... I'm afriad I can't give it up to you... unless hot tits there was willing to let me-"
Qrow was cut off when he was blasted right in the chest by a powerful beam of energy which... actually killed him. Damian blinked and looked at Irene who looked downright annoyed.
"I swear, the next person to agree to something in exchange for my body..." Irene growled as she walked over and picked up the mask before turning to Damian who was staring wide eyed at her. "What?"
"Nothing, just... has anyone ever told you that you look really sexy when angry?" Damian asked, unable to help but find the image of an angry and pissed off Irene very hot.
Irene actually smiled at the flattering comment as she walked over and patted Damian on the cheek. "Lots of times. Come on, let's take this mask back to it's owner."
Damian watched Irene go... noticing she had a sway in her hips as she walked, one that he was sure she was doing on purpose. He gulped and shook certain thoughts away before following her, paused... then went over to Qroq'c corpse and decapitated the head before taking it. Damian and Irene walked through the cave until they found their way out of it... where Raven was waiting for them.
"Knew you'd get the job done." Raven said with a smirk upon seeing Irene holding her mask, her smirk growing when seeing her brother's head in Damian's grasp. "And you brought me my bastard brother's head. You two are the best kind of work I could ask for, much better than the other scumbags in the tribe."
"We're not doing simple errands for you." Irene glared at her, tossing her the mask as Damian tossed her Qrow's head.
"No, I imagine not." Raven sighed as she took the mask and smiled at it, then scowled as she looked at Qrow's head before she scowled and kicked it off the mountain. "So, a deal is a deal. I'll live up to my end of the bargain."
One portal-trip later, and Damian, Irene and Raven were back at the Branwen Tribe's camp, with Raven having rolled up a map of the continent, with several marked areas around it.
"These are all the areas I know of that are stuck with slavers." she explained, indicating the marked areas. "We've only had contact with one of them, this one-" she indicated to the one that was closest to where the Branwen Tribe was currently marked out on the map. "And that was about... how old did you say your daughter was, Irene?"
"I didn't." Irene replied. "But Erza would be around thirteen, now. Same age at Damian."
Raven let out a hum.
"If those are the ones that took her, it would've been before that." she remarked, placing a hand on the map and casting a quick spell to make a copy of it, before handing the copy to Damian and Irene. "Here. This should be useful in helping track them down."
"I gotta say, it's been a pleasure doing business with you Raven." Damian said as he took the map and looked it over before he handed it to Irene who put it away in some pocket dimension. Damian then thought of something and turned to Raven. "Say, want to join us?"
"What?!" Irene and Raven looked at him in surprise.
"You know I'm a Devil, and I'm currently in the midst of building my peerage. Just by looking at you, I can tell you are pretty skilled. So, I wanted to know if you'll become my Knight?"
Raven remained sat on the ground, silent for a moment, before sighing.
"Can I have some time to think it over?" Raven asked. "That's a pretty big thing you're asking of me, and I'd be a pretty shitty leader if I just went and abandoned my tribe for an admittedly-cute teenager and his dommy-dragon-mommy."
Irene let out a low growl at Raven's remark, but the tribeswoman ignored it.
"No, that's totally fair." Damian replied. "We'll leave you be for now, then. Just come and find us when you've made your decision, okay?"
"Sure." Raven nodded, standing up and stretching. "I think you know the way out, considering how you blasted your way in here a few hours ago."
Damian let out a chuckle, and turned around before leaving Raven's tent, with Irene following. They were out of the camp within a minute.
"Hate that woman." Irene grumbled.
"Because of what she said?" Damian said teasingly, causing Irene to snap a glare at him.
"For your sake, let us carry on in silence." Irene said, something Damian quickly did as they walked on...
And that's it for this chapter. So, Raven didn't join the Peerage... but she has been given time to think about it. We'll see her again later on. By the way, only when a member is added will I reveal that person's position in the peerage. So for know, except the King position, all the others will remain unknown until those pieces are filled.
