mling4169: Thanks.
Lee: The reason I take so long to update any of my stories, is because I'm either experiencing writer's block or I am busy doing ten chapters per story to be ready for uploading so that there's a update every day for a story. It takes time, but clearly not all of you are patient. I'll update at my own pace, not because you lot get impatient.
Dragonrule: Thanks.
Disclaimer: I do not own High School DxD. I only own the OC Damian Mammon-Lucifer.
Today was the day.
Damian sat on one of the couches in the ORC clubroom with Rias, her Peerage and his own Peerage. The fight wasn't to begin for another ten minutes, so they were just waiting for Grayfia to show up and bring Damian to the dimension where he and Riser will battle. However, when a magic circle appeared in the room, they expected it to be Grayfia but the magic circle was one unfamiliar to everyone except Damian, whose eyes widened at the sight of the magic circle.
From it came a certain blue-haired woman dressed like a general. Esdeath, Damian's old teacher and also the Queen of Damian's mother's Peerage.
Damian could only smile as the transportation-circle dissipated and Esdeath looked over the room, her expression set in its usual cold, businesslike expression before immediately softening once she clapped eyes on Damian.
"Damian." she spoke, reaching out one hand towards him and using some of her demonic power to pull him towards her. Damian let out a small yelp, not expecting her to do that so quickly, but didn't attempt to resist as he landed on Esdeath, who immediately embraced him.
"Hey, Esdeath." he whispered, returning the hug and allowing his head to rest on her bust. Compared to what he'd seen since leaving and building up his peerage, Esdeath's bust might not have been the most impressive thing in the world, but his mother's Queen was still his mother's Queen, and that was enough for him.
"Woah, who's the hottie dressed like a general?" Issei whispered to Kiba as everyone watched the reunion. Damian's Peerage may not have seen Esdeath in person, but Damian had told them about her and even showed them a picture of her. That reminded him, he still had to introduce his Peerage to his parents since he had been busy in the past five years and had only spoken to them through the comunication magic. He hasn't seen his parents in person since leaving five years ago.
"That's Esdeath. She's Damian's mother's Queen and on the list as one of the strongest Queens in the Underworld." Kiba whispered with a hint of awe in his words since he's seen Esdeath in battle.
"She's also Damian's tutor," Rias added, a smile on her face. "She taught him how to wield a sword, how to fight, among other things."
"What are you doing here?" Damian asked as he pulled away, his hands briefly staying on Esdeath's hips for a moment before he dropped them.
"What, I can't come and wish my favourite student luck?" Esdeath asked with a cheeky smirk on her face. "I'm hurt Damian. After five years, that's all you have to say to me?"
Damian rolled his eyes at her but smiled. "You know what I mean."
Esdeath chuckled. "Well, I am here to wish you luck and hope you put that infuriating Phenex in his place. The whole Underworld is watching, and I think several other Factions will also be watching. I'm also here to tell you that your parents will be watching and wish to see you after you win."
Damian raised an eyebrow. "Not that I'm complaining, but they are confident I'll win."
Esdeath fixed him with a stern look. "You were trained by your parents, who are legendary in their own right, and you were also trained by me. So yes, we are confident you'll win."
"Good." Damian replied, stepping back from Esdeath and twisting his neck from side to side until it cracked, before cracking his knuckles. "I'll be sure not to disappoint."
"Aren't you gonna give yourself arthritis doing that?" Issei asked.
"One, that isn't a thing for Devils. Two, cracking your knuckles doesn't give you arthritis. Three, shut the hell up, I'm trying to focus." Damian replied, without even looking at Issei. He closed his eyes and let out a slow breath, trying his best to clear his mind in the few minutes he probably had left until the match began. Slaughter in his favour it was probably going to be, no matter what, but Damian wasn't about to take any chances and let himself slip up, for whatever reason.
Not with what was on the line today.
The next several minutes passed with Damian sitting down, just waiting, while Esdeath introduced herself to Damian's Peerage and got to hear their stories, how they came to meet Damian and what led to them joining his Peerage. She had just heard Mio's story when a silver magic circle appeared in the room and from it came Grayfia.
"Lord Damian, it is time." The silver-haired maid said in her usual emotionless tone, though she sent Esdeath a nod that her fellow Queen returned.
"Very well. Time to get to work." Damian said, standing up.
"I should inform you, that there are added conditions to the fight." Grayfia said, causing Damian to look at her with a raised eyebrow, and she continued. "Because of their apparent failure to assassinate you, Riser will release Yubelluna, Xuelan and Karlamine from his Peerage and leave their fates up to you... although he is confident he will win."
"That... huh." Damian replied, surprise crossing his face for a fraction of a second. That was something he hadn't expected to hear, not so soon before the match. Though the idea of three of Riser's peerage members, all of whom were pretty hot judging by the last time Damian had seen them, he wasn't about to let the promise of more women to stick his stick in distract him from the task at hand.
Namely, pounding Riser into the ground until he was begging for release... that might have come out wrong.
"Alright." Damian took a breath. "Fine with me."
Grayfia nodded as the transportation-circle that would take Damian to the Rating Game field appeared behind her.
Damian turned as Rias approached him, a small smile on her face. "Good luck."
Damian smirked. "I won't need it, it's him who'll need the luck after I'm through with him... and that sounded better in my head."
Rias giggled before she leaned up and gave him a small kiss on the lips that he returned for a couple of seconds before pulling away. "Have a good fight, and show everyone you're not to be messed with... but don't get too into it. Last thing I want is to be with a ego-filled Devil."
Damian scoffed. "Rias, we're Devils. Pride is one of our many sins... and we all have egos and arrogance. It's in our nature, but I get your point."
the two shared a longer, loving kiss before Damian broke it, sent a nod at his Peerage then walked over to the transportation circle that would take him to where the fight would be. He sent Rias one last smile before he was transported.
Damian had shut his eyes upon the transportation-circle's activation, more out of reflex than anything else, but when he opened them again, he found that he wasn't in the ORC room anymore. Rather, he was on a battlefield in what looked like an alternate space, judging by the weird-looking sky. There were giant statues of chess pieces across each side of the battlefield, so the Mammon Heir assumed that this was probably a giant chessboard.
He could only hope that the pieces didn't end up coming to life and attacking him and Riser. That would just be an unneeded distraction.
On the other end of the battlefield, off in the distance, there was another figure. Damian couldn't see that far into the distance, but he could make an educated guess about who that figure was.
Damian rolled his shoulders and neck as he stepped forward. He was dressed in his usual attire, which consisted of a a faded black, 3/4-length, hooded leather coat with red interior linings and the Mammon-Lucifer symbol on the left arm, a gray tank top, black fingerless gloves, black faded jeans and black military boots. It was more of his usual, common attire that he wears most of the time, pus it had his parents House symbols combined into one, so why wouldn't he wear it?
Riser on the other hand... well, he wore what he wore when Damian met him.
"Riser sees you didn't back out." Riser sneered as Damian approached before stopping, a big enough space in-between them as Damian's coat fluttered a little.
"And I can see you are as much of an asshole to your servants as you are other people." Damian retorted. "Getting rid of three of them just because they failed to kill me?"
"Oh, I ensured they were... punished when they returned that night." The look on Riser's face indicated just what the punishment was and Damian felt disgust boil in his stomach. "I released them because they disgraced me, but once I beat you... I'm sure I'll keep them around as slaves instead of having the great pleasure of being in my Peerage."
'The more he talks... the more I'm going to enjoy tearing him apart.' Damian thought to himself. Yeah, a Devil he may be, and he is a little arrogant, sex-filled, likes to think of the opposite sex, enjoys fighting, drinking, feasting, but not even he was despicable enough to turn people into sex slaves. He wasn't that kind of Devil, h actually cared for those he calls friends and family.
It was then that Grayfia began speaking, explaining the purpose of the match and the special conditions that Riser had gone and laid out for it, but Damian wasn't listening. All he was doing was focusing, mentally preparing, running through all the ways he was going to humiliate Riser, make him suffer during this match.
There were many, MANY ways that he was planning to. Thanks to both his own imagination and some ideas from those in his peerage (and outside of it), he'd got a long, exhaustive list in his head. And he was gonna go through each and every entry, one by one, until Riser broke.
Damian came out of his thoughts when a selection of the sky slipped open by a white light, revealing the face of Riser's sister, Ravel, glaring down at the grandson of Lucifer. "You messed with the wrong family this time, Mammon-Lucifer! My brother's about to tear you a new one!"
"Yes," Riser agreed from where he was standing. "He's quite the confident one, isn't he? But don't worry, I'll take him down a few pegs."
"Didn't know you needed a cheerleader." Damian remarked coldly. "Like you, your sister's all bark, no bite. You and your family have talked for far too long... so I'm going to shut you up."
Ravel let out a giggle from her position up in the sky, and Damian could hear Riser bursting out into open laughter at his words. Both of them shut up quickly, however, for their own reasons, when Damian spread his wings and flew across the field so fast that Ravel didn't see him, and Riser couldn't react to him, before punching Riser in the chest so hard that he was sent flying into one of the giant Bishop pieces on his end of the field.
Riser's crashing into it caused the giant piece in question to rumble, before eventually collapsing on top of the blond Devil, as Damian slowly lowered his fist, taking a breath in appreciation for both of the younger Phenex children having shut up, if only for a moment.
'Better.' he thought.
Riser coughed as he shoved debris and rubble off him and got to his feet, his clothes covered in dust from slamming into the giant Bishop piece. However, before he could make a remark or attempt an attack of his own, Damian appeared right before him in the blink of an eye and backhanded him, sending him flying across the field and hitting the ground repeatedly, rolling to a stop. The Phenex heir groaned but felt his wounds heal, so got to his feet with an enraged expression.
"Lucky shots." He growled before creating a huge fireball and threw it at the Mammon-Lucifer who ran right at it, cocked his fist back while infusing demonic power into his fist and then his fist collided with the fireballs, resulting in an explosion and a shockwave that shook the entire dimension.
"Was that it?" Damian asked once the smoke cleared away. "A measly little fireball?"
"Don't mock me, vermin!" Riser shouted. "When I win this duel it will show everyone the true power of the House of Phenex, my true power… I'll also enjoy every second of making Rias mine…" The smirk on Raiser's face grew as he took a hand out of one of his pockets. "And that goes for the women in her Peerage as w-"
He was cut off once again as Damian instantly appeared in front of him, grabbing his face and slammed it into the floor while dragging him along, causing Riser to scream as his skin was cut by the ground, a bloody scrape left in place once Damian released him then kicked him hard to send him rolling across the ground. However, Riser spread his wings, which were made of fire, and flew right at Damian and tackled the Lucifer-Mammon heir, the two throwing fists at each other as they battled in the air.
Damian parried one of Riser's punches and gave him a headbutt similar to what is known as the Glasgow Kiss, then spun and delivered a kick to Riser's face so hard he went back down into the ground.
Riser could only let out a growl as he clutched at his nose, feeling it healing beneath his hand as he rolled out of the way of Damian, who had aimed a kick at his exposed back while he was still down, and got back to his feet.
He didn't get it. He was a Phenex, with absolute power over fire and wind, with a regenerative ability that made him all-but invincible! This nobody Heir of a nobody Clan should have realised that he had no chance in a fight against him from the start, so WHY was this HAPPENING?!
Just as Riser was back on his feet, he threw a fire-enhanced punch at Damian, but the Mammon-Lucifer Heir simply leant back, out of his range, and then thrust out his own hand to sent a powerful bolt of dark energy at the arm attached to the fist that Riser had tried to punch him with, that exploded on contact with the third child's elbow and sent his forearm flying away.
It landed on the ground a second or so later, and was replaced by a brand new forearm a second later, but the sudden pain of having one's forearm exploded off of his body didn't go away. Nor did the disembodied forearm in question, which Riser's eyes couldn't help but linger on as it lay on the ground, still leaking blood- HIS blood- all over the floor.
Riser let out the tiniest of gasps, his eyes widening, before Damian punched him in the face again, sending him stumbling backwards.
Damian gave Riser another punch to the face, then summoned Judgement as Riser tried going for a punch of his own only for Damian to slice off the entire arm and watched Riser yell in pain as blood gushed out the wound, before the wound regenerated into a new arm. Riser growled and flew back into the air, summing fireballs and throwing them at Damian, who ran, sidestepping and dodging the fireballs, then he leaped into the air at Riser, who held out his right hand, and a tall, thin stream of fire ignited from his palm.
When the fires died down, they left in their place a sword with a long, thin, silver blade, and a handguard and handle filled with many rubies and gems, with the pummel having a large ruby in it.
Quickly, Riser blocked Damian's sword with his own and the two grunted as they clashed in the air.
"Like the sword? "It was forged by our ancestors down in the Inferno, the birthplace of the House of Phoenix." Riser looked up at Damian with an arrogant sneer. "And now it will be the sword to destroy you! Now fight me!"
Their swords clashed with sparks igniting each time the blades made contact, the two almost becoming a blur as they moved very fast, hitting each other before backing off. Riser smirked before pointing his sword at Damian. From the tip of the blade, a stream of fire shot out and flew towards the Mammon heir. Damian saw the flames, but continued to charge at Riser.
He flipped over the stream of fire and drove both of his feet into Riser's face, causing him to grunt as he flew back a little due to the impact of Damian's boots colliding with his face.
"You fucking-" Riser began, but couldn't finish as Damian slashed at his chest a couple of times, cutting deep enough to slice his lungs open, before cutting off the hand that he held his sword in. The hand, still holding the sword, fell to the ground, gushing blood for a couple of seconds, as a new hand regenerated onto Riser's body. His expression a snarl, he summoned his sword back to his hand and thrust it towards Damian, who simply stepped aside.
"Nuh-uh." Damian hummed, as the tip of Riser's blade JUST missed him. "Nope." he remarked, leaning back as Riser swiped at him, growling. "Try again." he added, raising an arm to meet Riser's next attempted sword-swipe, channelling enough demonic energy into his arm that it blocked the blade outright without harming him. It cut into the jacket and left a gash in it once Riser pulled it out, but that didn't exactly matter to Damian.
Clothes could be repaired, after all. He knew more than anyone, after enough rough nights with his peerage.
Deciding to get creative, Damian summoned dozens of Darkness Spears above their heads before sending them crashing into the ground where Riser was. The older blond maneuvered out of the way, letting a few of the spears cut him in a few places before they instantly healed.
"You can't beat me!" Riser laughed arrogantly. "Every wound you inflict on me, no matter the damage, I'll just heal from it!"
Damian smirked. "Exactly."
"Wha-" Riser was cut off when Damian appeared in front of him and drove his free hand right into Riser's gut, causing him to scream in pain as blood gushed out, splattering onto the sleeve of Damian's coat and most likely coating his half his arm in Riser's blood since he had half of it buried into Riser's gut, then he pulled back and revealed to have been grabbing Riser's intestines.
Damian yanked his arm back again, pulling out a good portion of Riser's intestines and cutting it off with his sword. Snapping his fingers to magically form them into a lasso, Damian swung it around his head a couple of times to get the momentum going and thrust it around Riser's ankle, yanking it to make him fall on his ass.
Casting the lasso aside, Damian jumped into the air and landed with both feet on Riser's face, enhancing his boots with enough demonic energy that he heard Riser's skull cracking, his eyes popping, and muffled screams of pain and anguish.
"You can keep healing and healing and healing all you want, as many times as you want... it just means I can dish out the long list of creative ways I'm going to make this fight more of a torture." Damian said darkly, twirling Judgement around several times before he slung the sword across his back then walked towards Riser as his skull and wounds healed, somehow gaining new guts instead of the ones he lost.
Damian grabbed Riser by the ear and yanked hard enough to rip it off, causing Riser to let out a blood-curling scream as he clutched where his ear had been, looking with wide eyes as Damian used his own fire to disintegrate the ear. He then kicked Riser in the face hard enough to break his nose, then drove his fist directly into Riser's eye, leaving a very bad black eye in the process and possibly blinding Riser in that eye for a while.
"You've been nothing but a constant torment in her life." Damian growled, circling Riser before he brought his foot down on Riser's left ankle, and a snapping sound was heard as Damian crushed the bone, making Riser scream again in pain. "You're the reason she'd wake up in the middle of the night, crying, terrified of becoming some toy... despite the fact you'd be the one marrying into her family, but I know you... you'd try to break her and make her submissive to you. Ever since I learned of this marriage between you and her, I have made it my goal to break it, to break you... and that's what I'm going to do, and I'm going to put the entire supernatural world on notice."
Riser could only yell out in continuous pain, unable to even formulate a coherent sentence, which Damian was all too happy to take advantage of as he picked up the intestines-lasso (which he'd dropped on the ground earlier) and swung it around Riser's neck. Enhancing the lasso with demonic power to make sure it didn't break under what he was about to do, Damian swung Riser around a couple of times before jumping up into the air and slamming him down to the ground, cracking Riser's back on impact.
Before it even healed, Damian cocked back his fist and crashed it against Riser's chest, sending a strong enough pulse of his demonic energy through his enemy's body with it that he would've been surprised if even one of their ribs survived without shattering, and sending Riser flying into one of the giant Pawn pieces, which rumbled and collapsed on top of him.
'Gotta thank Mortal Kombat for some very creative gory attacks.' Damian thought, having played the games and been very interested in the fatalities in the game, as well as the brutalities.
Damian walked over, pushing the rubble aside before he picked one up and brought it down on Riser's head hard enough for the skull to crack and the front of Riser's face connected with another piece of rubble, making more blood splatter in response.
As Riser shrieked in pain, Damian held up the bloodied rubble and used some of his demonic power to sheer it into the shape that he wanted, a long spike that he drove down into Riser's chest, with enough force that it broke through Riser's body, through the ground and kept pinned him there.
To add insult to injury, while Riser was trying to pathetically pull himself off of the spike without causing himself more pain, Damian walked over to where Riser's sword had landed. His disembodied hand had long since let go of it, so all he had to do was pick it up, carry it over to where Riser was, and drive it through one of Riser's knees to keep him pinned from another area on his body.
"You know... I happen to have watched many horror movies." Damian casually commented as he reached up and brought Judgement off his back. "Say what you want about humans, they sure know how to make creative horror movie kills. My favourite franchises just have to be Friday the 13th, Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Here, let me introduce you to one from Friday the 13th."
With that, he swung his sword and the blade slit Riser's throat open, the blood pouring out like a leaking bucket and Damian didn't care that some of it got onto his clothes and made him look like a serial killer... he'll have his clothes washed and dry cleaned afterwards.
Damian allowed the blood to drop to the ground. He had enough of his own blood frozen and stored up for Moka to enjoy whenever she wanted, she probably wouldn't like the taste of Riser's blood, and he wasn't sure if he'd even be able to take it out of this battlefield anyway.
In the second or two before Riser's slit throat regenerated itself, the blond Devil reached up for his throat, blood still pouring out all over it. His mouth was open, and full of blood that had probably gotten up there, leaving him unable to speak.
Damian tilted his head, ironically like Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees, then drove his free fist right into Riser's throat, causing him to open his mouth and throw up a mix of blood and vomit, which Damian stepped back from. Blood he can handle, he was NOT getting vomit over his boots or clothes. That shit stinks worse than a sewer.
Stabbing the tip of his sword into the ground, Damian pushed Riser up then drove his right fist into his chest, then his left fist, then his right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right. His arms became a blur as he continued to deliver punches to Riser's chest, before he stopped, grabbed Riser by the hair and drove his knee into Riser's jaw, causing the sound of something either breaking or shattering to be heard and Riser's jaw hung like a loose board held up by only one nail.
Allowing Riser to hang around for a second to appreciate just what had happened to him too fast to even react to, Damian delivered a heavy backhand to Riser's jaw, sending the lower half of it flying off his face. It landed on the ground a couple of dozen meters away, spinning a few times before coming to a stop.
A new jaw had regenerated for Riser before that even happened, but that didn't stop his eyes from following the jaw that Damian had just bitchslapped off his face. It was around that point that Riser realised that he might not be winning this fight. In fact, by agreeing to the challenge in the first place, he had all-but signed his own death warrent.
"P-Please-" He started to say but was cut off when Damian literally dug his fingers into his eyes and Riser let out blood-curling screams, blood coming out of where his eyes were as Damian continued to grapple and grab, before he ripped the eyes right out of their sockets.
"No." Damian hissed, getting off three punches on the blind Riser before his eyes regenerated, before fashioning a ball-gag out of Evil Light and fastening it into his mouth. "You don't get to escape. I control how this goes, and how this ends. For everything you've done, you get to take it."
Riser let out muffled screams as the Light burned him like it was holy water. Damian chopped him in the neck, causing his screams to choke. Damian then grabbed Judgement and stabbed Riser through the gut and twisted several times, causing Riser's muffled screams to get loud due to the combination of a sword through his guts and the ball-gag made of Evil Light. Damian gripped the sword with one hand and with one jerk, the sword sliced diagonally from the middle of Riser's stomach, through a couple of ribs, and out the side, sending his insides spilling out.
He flicked the blood and guts off of the sword once it was fully out of Riser's body, sending it splattering all over the ground, and looked back at Riser as he regenerated again. Though as he did so, Damian noticed that the speed of which Riser's body regenerated was noticeably slower than how he'd healed from any injuries he'd been dealt before now.
He was running low on demonic power. This was going to be over soon. Damian was going to have to make the best of what time he had left to play with Riser.
Damian's right fists clenched before he drove it into Riser's chest, digging into it and crushing Riser's heart. Damian then summoned two spears, one made from Darkness, the other made from Light, and stabbed them through Riser's arms to keep him pinned for Damian to use as a punching bag.
And that's exactly what Damian did. Make Riser his punching bag as he delivered punches to every part of Riser's upper body, his attacks filled with aggression and anger formed over the years at how much Riser had infected Rias' life, making her cry, making her think she'll life a life as some sex slave, that Riser will get anything he wants from the Gremories because he'll have made Rias submissive to him and can manipulate her to get him whatever he wants.
Once he was done with making Riser his punching bag, he watched Riser groan, blood dripping from his mouth, his body bruised with several disgusting purple and dark grey brusies Damian grabbed Judgement and stared at the blade for a moment before shaking his head and sheathed the sword across his back, before summoning a chainsaw and started it up.
Without a moment's hesitation, he drove the chainsaw into Riser's nuts.
The scream of pain that Riser let out upon the chainsaw meeting his balls would likely have deafened most humans, if any were in any close enough vicinity to be able to hear it. Damian wasn't most humans, however, and drove the chainsaw a little bit deeper into Riser's nuts, eventually leaving it there and nudging Riser with his foot just enough that he fell over backwards onto his back.
Sighing, as Riser didn't seem to regenerate from the most recent onslaught that he'd endured, Damian stepped back, turned around and took a breath. No more regeneration, no more torture, no more fun. It was over.
Fun while it lasted, though.
And that's it for this chapter. Yeah, I went and made the fight like something out of Mortal Kombat. I had to be creative since Damian took advantage of Riser's ability to regenerate his wounds. Also, big thanks to W. Alderson21 for helping out with the chapter and the fight.
