- Chapter 8: Secrets revealed -
Nagisa watched helplessly as his friends battled against monstrous, featureless versions of themselves. He couldn't even begin to wonder what the hell they were all going through while he just stood there unseen and could do nothing.
'That woman is crazy strong. How is she able to do this much all on her own? Could it be the dome?' He thought to himself. As he stared at the woman near the top of the dome, he noticed something, 'No way...she's getting tired. I can see it now. Which means she might be stalling. Those other wavelengths I saw earlier. The ones that are still approaching this location, it's possible they could be back-up! This is bad! We need to end this battle before then! And I have to get out of here somehow!' He thought desperately. 'But how?' was the question.
Fortunately, he could still hear what was happening in the real world but he still couldn't communicate with anyone. But he had to try, he had to try at least something. The strange sensation he felt earlier, returned but it was worse. It overloaded all his senses, as he could feel vibrations everywhere.
Nagisa thought, 'But more importantly, how am I able to sense so many things at once?' He looked around to find the area almost empty.
People were rushing through the mall, trying to get as far away from the dome as possible, only a few of them remained though, trying to record the whole ordeal. Silently speculating the giant, shadowy hemisphere that occupied the entire promenade, there was only a narrow stretch of space around the dome for movement.
Nagisa was confused. Very confused.
"Where are the police? I definitely saw a few on our way here, so I know they exist in this world so where are they? And the news? Surely this must be reaching them, right?" He asked himself questions that he wasn't getting any answers for. "And on that note, where are the Pro Heroes? Those on patrol should've seen what's going on right?"
Clearly not, it had been about forty minutes and nobody showed up. He was starting to get seriously worried. Suddenly, as he turned, he noticed a single wavelength coming from the northeastern ward of the mall. He headed towards it and soon found Tokoyami in his sights, running while holding his phone to his ear as he spoke to whoever was on the other end.
"Yeah, sorry about that. The manager of the store put on lockdown because of all the chaos that was happening outside and I had to convince him to let me and everyone else out," He explained and the blunet realized he must have vindicated his absence. Nagisa almost looked relieved. "But I'm coming now! You say you're in a big dome?"
The raven-headed male halted in his tracks, nearly dropping his phone as he came face to face with the sinister encasement that had been described to him. He slowly walked towards it, staring up in surprise.
"Good lord..." He muttered. "What the hell did I miss? Someone who can manipulate shadows? Now that's interesting." As held out a hand and touched the dome, it may be shadowy, but it felt solid. "What's that? You want me to try and break the dome from the outside? How-?"
Nagisa caught sight of a ripple on the surface of the dome right in front of the raven head teen. He could guess what would happen and turned to him.
"Tokoyami-san!" He screamed but it was pointless since he couldn't hear it. However, Dark Shadow manifested from Tokoyami's back and dashed to grab at a supporting pillar, and pulled the raven-headed hero away into the shadow at the entrance of a nearby restaurant, just before a shadowy tentacle shot out of the ripple to grab at him.
In an instant, the tentacle disintegrated under the sunlight. Tokoyami sighed in relief and thanked Dark Shadow for getting him out of harm's way.
"Curses!" Shadowhand cursed, as she was slowly losing energy.
Witnessing the incident, Nagisa understood that the shadow tentacles were unable to stay outside of the dome for too long and taking another glance at the mysterious woman at the top, he finally noticed the bracelet on her wrist was actually emitting a dim pink light, indicating that it was some kind of power converter. As he was about to surmise what they should do, he felt something tapping his shoulder.
Startled, he turned around, only to see a pair of glowing eyes glaring at him. Quickly identifying the entity, he said, "You're-you're Tokoyami-san's..."
Tokoyami glanced at Dark Shadow, seeing it staring at empty space, he asked, "Dark Shadow, what's wrong?" The shadow creature turned to its master and pointed at Nagisa's location, "Blue Boy."
The raven-headed male was confused at the creature's reply and the space it was pointing, but quickly realized that it was talking about Nagisa. "Wait, you know where Nagisa is?"
Dark Shadow nodded, holding onto the as yet unseen blunet in its arm and pointing at him.
Shocked at the entity's presence, Nagisa remembered what Tokoyami told him about Dark Shadow on the day they met. Realizing that Dark Shadow was a shadow entity, it might have a presence in both the real world and the shadow world simultaneously. 'This is great, then we might have a fighting chance!' The blunet thought.
Tokoyami, who was still holding his on-call phone, asked, "Mineta! Can you tell me where exactly is Nagisa?"
Back in the dome, after hearing the jet-black hero's question, Mineta was unable to answer, since he joined the battle a bit later. So he asked loudly, "Guys, any idea where Nagisa is!?"
After kicking back his shadow clone for the eighth time, Midoriya replied, "The lady said she trapped him in somewhere called the Shadow World!" Mineta then transferred that information to Tokoyami.
After taking a few moments to take in the information, he came to the conclusion that only Dark Shadow can get the blunet back, he immediately ordered, "Dark Shadow, grab onto Nagisa and return!"
And just as he ordered, the shadow entity embraced the blunet and returned into the raven-headed male's body with the younger teen still within its large arms. As Dark Shadow disappeared into Tokoyami's body, Nagisa was pulled back into the real world through the shadow at the restaurant entrance, but crashed into the jet black hero due to the speed, causing both of them to hit a nearby wall.
Nagisa rubbed his head, and as he opened his eyes, they burnt in the sunlight due to being in the darkness for too long, but soon they readjusted to it. Seeing Tokoyami getting up and rubbing his head, he asked the older teen, "Tokoyami-san, are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm alright, how about you?" Tokoyami groaned as he stood back up
"I think so, thanks for bringing me back, by the way." Nagisa stood up and bowed slightly, the raven head teen replied, "Don't thank me too much. Now, how do we get the others out of the dome?"
Looking back at the dome and seeing the pained look on the young heroes' faces - even Bakugou - Nagisa felt his blood boil. All of them bruised and battered, but still ready to fight, the sight of that made him grit his teeth and clench his fists.
'These people...these heroes did so much for me ever since I came to their world...they treated me as their own.' He thought as a bit of bloodlust started to seep out of him.
'They weren't giving up. Midoriya-san wasn't giving up. And-"
His eyes filled with determination.
'-I won't give up as well!'
Like a giant wave crashing down, Nagisa's brain developed an idea that was both brilliant and risky but just might work. He might not be a hero. He might not have a quirk. But he was an assassin. And he had the skills and wits he learned from his time with Korosensei. He was going to beat this villain.
"That's it! Time to end this!" He declared fiercely. Surprising Tokoyami who was right next to him. The older teen then said, "You seemed to have a plan." The blunet nodded and told him, "It might sound crazy, but it just - might - WORK."
'Woman! You're in a heap of trouble, cause you have just made yourself, my next target!'
=| Tokyo Station, Chiyoda district |=
After a largely uneventful train ride, class 3-E, the teachers and the Doctor had made it to Tokyo. Once they left the train and the platform, the students looked around the station, seeing it looked the same as and yet different from the one back in their world, same as in the structures and the layout, and different in the sense of the air, the people and the billboards.
Kayano exclaimed, "Would you look at that? Despite a different world and 70 years in the future, the station doesn't look that different from ours."
Okuda, after looking around, added, "I was expecting there would be more automation."
"Well, society was a mess here a century ago, so progress was slow, but it seemed to be improving," The Doctor replied.
Korosensei, despite being the oddest of them, seemed right in place, raising very little attention from the locals, well except for his size, as he took up a lot of space on the train, causing discomfort for some of the passengers, but that could be ignored.
The octopus said, "So Kurahashi was right, I really don't raise much attention."
"Of course she's right, she's my student," Irina said, hugging Kurahashi. The orange-haired girl said cheerfully, a bit embarrassed, "Bitch-sensei, stop it."
"Alright, I am getting a stronger signal from Nagisa's phone," The Doctor said, as he checked his sonic screwdriver again, "But I can't pinpoint his exact location."
Isogai said, "That would mean he's not too far away, still in the city, right?"
"Yes," The Doctor replied. And after re-adjusting the sonic, he checked again and asked Isogai, "Mind if I borrow your phone for a moment?"
The ikeman class representative replied, "Sure."
The Doctor took the phone and input the information on the sonic into it. He then opened the map, showing the map of Tokyo. And in it, there was a red dot that seemed to be shifting between four districts.
"There is still some interference but I have narrowed his position down to these four districts," The Doctor said, showing the map to everyone, which highlighted Taito, Chuo, Sumida and Kiyashi districts.
"Then I suggest we split into four groups to search each district," Korosensei suggested, Irina and Karasuma agreed.
After handing Isogai his phone back, the Doctor said, "then it's agreed."
Group One was Isogai, Kataoka, Maehara, Okano, Kimura, Yada, Kurahashi and Irina, they would search Taito. Group Two was Chiba, Hayami, Sugaya, Nakamura, Okajima, Mimura, Fuwa, and Korosensei, they would search Chuo. Group Three was Terasaka, Yoshida, Muramatsu, Itona, Hara, Hazama, Takebayashi and Karasuma, they would search Sumida. And Group Four was Karma, Kayano, Sugino, Kanzaki, Okuda and the Doctor, they would search Kiyashi.
"Once we completed the search, we will meet up back here, is that alright?" Karasuma said, they all nodded in unison. And they split up to their respective areas.
=| Back in Kiyashi district mall |=
After going over the plan, Tokoyami and Nagisa sprang into action. Using the shadows of the mall buildings as cover, Tokoyami summoned Dark Shadow and used Black Ankh, using the shadow entity to cover himself while Nagisa kept an eye on Shadowhand, observing her wavelength to check on her guard, as they were running around in the shadows to avoid detection.
When the blunet saw an opening as the orange-haired witch turned away, he said, "Tokoyami-san, here's our chance!"
The raven-headed hero then jumped up a building and climbed onto the dome. Shoving both his and Dark Shadow's hands into the dome's shell, using their presence in both the physical world and the shadow world, they penetrated it, though only around their hands.
Tokoyami then moved his hand apart, with some difficulty, he managed to make a circular hole on the surface of the shadowy hemisphere. He thought, 'Yes, Nagisa's plan could work!'
Unfortunately, Shadowhand noticed the tear on the dome, she sent out shadow tentacles on the dome surface to attack the pitch black hero.
Nagisa saw ripples on a side of the dome, immediately identifying the threat, he called out, "Tokoyami-san, look out!"
Tokoyami heard the blunet and saw two shadowing tendrils heading towards him. He immediately disengaged, and jumped off the dome, onto a building top, dodging the tentacles at the same time.
But just like previously, the tentacles couldn't stay under sunlight for very long and disintegrated, however, the hole resealed itself. The raven-headed male jumped back to the ground and regrouped with Nagisa. The blunet asked, "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, but it would be quite the challenge to tear open the dome and get you in there," Tokoyami said, as he sweated and panted.
Back in the dome, as he kicked away his shadow clone, Iida discovered a beam of light shooting onto the ground, looking up, he saw Tokoyami opening a section of the dome. He thought, 'Wait, if Tokoyami can tear open the dome, then perhaps...' Just then his copy reformed and charged at him again, the class president then used his quirk to boost his kick, dispersing it again, it was easy, but he had done this for too much and his engines are running out of fuel, he knew they had to get out quick. He then thought back to what Tokoyami did, and realised he might have a plan, and that they would need to distract the mysterious woman in order to make it work.
He then shouted to the others, "Everyone, we need to distract the woman up top!"
Midoriya looked up, seeing Shadowhand who looked tired, and turned back to his friend, thought, 'Iida wouldn't tell us to do unnecessary things, he must have an idea.'
So, as his shadow clone reformed for the tenth time, the greenet activated blackwhip on his hand and wrap its tendrils around his copy, then hurled it at the top of the dome, hitting the orange-haired witch who was still hovering near the top.
That grabbed the attention and fury of the woman, she angrily said, "Irruent in iram, mitto te. Umbra Claviculis." Speaking in Latin again, she sent out shadow tendrils from the dome's inner surface at the heroes below. As the tentacles attacked, they absorbed the shadow clones, making them more powerful and moving more erratically, causing the young heroes to dodge them at a frantic pace.
As Nagisa was observing the events from outside, he saw Shadowhand's wavelength and knew that her guard was down. He said, "We only have one chance, we need to go now!"
Tokoyami nodded and used Black Fallen Angel to fly him and the blunet onto the top of a building. The pitch black hero then covered himself with Dark Shadow, leapt off the building and rushed at the dome, behind the witch.
"Black Ankh..." Tokoyami reached out his shadow covered arms in the form of a drill. "Sabbath!" As his arms penetrated the dome, he spread them apart, ripping a large hole on the dome's surface. Then Nagisa also leapt off the building and at the hole, and jumped off Dark Shadow's head at the witch. The blunet entered assassin mode, his eyes concentrated on his target, and flew past the witch.
As he passed the orange-haired woman, he fished into his pocket and took out a smoke bomb that Todoroki left at the school building entrance yesterday, clapped it between his hands and it exploded into a cloud of smoke, covering his escape.
As he falls, Midoriya jumped up into the air, and caught him. When they got back on the ground, Nagisa thanked the greenet, "Thanks, Midoriya-san."
The One For All successor then replied, "You're welcome, Nagisa." Everyone else walked to the blunet worried if he was hurt anywhere, he just answered, "Guys, I'm fine, really."
At that moment, Shadowhand landed on the ground, everyone raised their guard to protect Nagisa. The mysterious woman hissed, "You...How did you escape!?"
"You may be powerful, but you have underestimated one thing," Nagisa said defiantly, "the resolve of my friends."
Midoriya continued, "We may have known for only a few days, but we don't abandon someone, because that is what we heroes do."
The others nodded in unison, "That's right." The orange-haired woman snickered, "You pitiful fools, you really think you can outplay me!?" She put her hand on her bracelet, except there was no bracelet, she was just touching here wrist. Realizing her bracelet was missing, she looked around frantically for it.
"Are you looking for this?" Nagisa said, holding the violet bracelet in his hand. Shocking everyone else as they all turned to him. Uraraka asked, "Nagisa-kun, how did you get it?" The blunet just winked at the brunette, leaving her confused.
"I wonder what would happen if I do this?" Nagisa said as he was about to tear the bracelet apart. Shadowhand yelled, "NO!"
The blunet destroyed the bracelet, causing its beads to rain onto the ground and sending out a shockwave that knocked everyone down. With the bracelet destroyed, Shadowhand's energy had been used up, causing the shadow dome to slowly dissipate, and her appearance to change, her skin became wrinkly, her nose turned pointy, her teeth became sharp like a shark's, her hands became large and clawed, and her hair went from orange to brown with white.
As they recovered from the shockwave and saw the appearance now donned by the woman, the students grimaced at her as she became witch-like.
"You haven't won yet, I still have..." Shadowhand said, but was interrupted when two voices spoke in her head, "Shadowhand, stop and return."
Shadowhand replied, both verbally and telepathically, "My mothers, give me one more moment to finish what I started."
"This game is over, you have gathered us all the information we need."
"Just a bit more time, and I can still do more."
"You must get out of there, more heroes are coming your way, and we have things to discuss."
"Alright, I am coming."
The witch-esque woman turned back to the young heroes, "You may have won today, but you are doomed." All of Class 1-A charged at the woman, just as she glowed in a bright light and vanished into thin air. They all looked around but found no traces of her.
At that moment, the shadow dome had completely dissipated, and sunlight had finally returned to the area. Class 1-A all took a sigh of relief, as they were tired and beaten up, and the fight was finally over. With the warmth of the sun showering them, it had felt like an eternity in darkness.
Nagisa then asked, "Are you guys alright?" Kaminari replied, "Yeah, we're totally fine, Nagisa." The blunet sweatdropped, "Even though you're all bruised and beaten up?"
Bakugou walked up to the younger boy with an angry expression, and grab him by the collar of his shirt, "And now it's time you explain yourself."
Midoriya said, "Kacchan calm down, let Nagisa go." The ash-blond male said angrily, "Shut up Deku, I won't until he give me some answers."
Just then, a huge figure jumped into the mall and blew up a cloud of dust as it landed. Class 1-A took up a stance and prepare to fight, but when the dust settled, there was no enemy, there was a white-haired man who was dressed like a ninja, another man with a wooden helmet and mask, wearing a dark blue bodysuit, and a giant curvy lady with long creamy blonde hair and wearing a purple and pale tan bodysuit. It was The Lurkers, the Pro Hero team of Edgeshot, Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady, along with a team of police officers.
"Oh, it's U.A Class 1-A," Mt. Lady said, recognizing the students as she shrunk back down. Her size shocked Nagisa, who thought, 'Oh my word, that lady was huge!'
"Where the hell were you guys!?" Bakugou, Kirishima, Kaminari and Sero complained, "You could have helped a lot with the villain back then!"
"We came as quickly as possible, but this district was often considered a low-risk zone, so very few heroes were sent to patrol this area," Edgeshot explained calmly as the police team sealed the area.
"But it would seem that you have the place taken care of, where's the villain?" Kamui Woods asked. Todoroki answered monotonously, "Escaped, she disappeared into thin air."
"That's unfortunate, but you all did a great job in protecting the civilians," Edgeshot said, "now tell us what had happened."
"Well, it's something like this, our friend here, Shiota Nagisa," Midoriya said with Nagisa at his side, "he got kidnapped by the villain and was held hostage, but he managed to escape and we were able to defeat her."
Kamui Woods was a bit sceptical at that response, "That was a bit simplified, but can you fill us in on the details?"
"At first we were singing at the Karaoke Bin," Uraraka continued, "But Nagisa-kun he left for a while, so we got worried and searched for him, and then we found him trapped in a dark sphere by the villain." Mt. Lady urged, "Okay, continue."
As the Pro Heroes continued questioning the students of class 1-A, Nagisa whispered to the greenet next to him, "Midoriya-san, who are they? Are they heroes?"
"Yes, they are the Lurkers, the Pro Hero team of three of the best heroes out there, the one in the ninja costume is Edgeshot, the one with the wooden helmet and mask is Kamui Woods, and the lady over there is Mt. Lady, they are one of the strongest teams in Japan." Midoriya replied silently.
Now knowing that they are Pro Heroes, Nagisa thought, 'Thank God they are heroes, I almost thought we would face more enemies.' And so he sighed in relief as his fears eariler were lifted.
The Lurkers moved on to Tokoyami, who said, "When I arrived, I saw the dome and approached it. Then I was attacked by a tendril from the dome, though I was able to dodge it. Later, I used my quirk to bring Nagisa back, and he came up with a plan to defeat the villain."
That turned the three Pro Heroes' attention to the blunet, who was sweating hard at the sight of three heroes whom he knew very little about.
Edgeshot, noticing the boy was nervous, said calmly, "No need to be nervous, just tell us all you know."
After taking a deep breath, Nagisa calmed down and said, "I thought of the idea that since Tokoyami-san's quirk is a shadow, and the dome was also a shadow, so I devised the plan of using shadow against shadow, it worked and we were able to destroy the item she was using to channel her power," he took out the bracelet beads he picked up from his pocket, "a bracelet."
Edgeshot asked, "Mind if I take a look at these beads?" The blunet nodded and handed them to the ninja hero.
He inspected the violet bracelet beads and then handed them to a police officer, "Thanks, these could help in our investigation."
Mt. Lady then asked the blunet, "So what exactly are the powers of the villain? What is her quirk?"
Nagisa thought, 'If I tell them it was magic, they probably won't believe me." So he answered, "I can't tell."
Unsatisfied with that reply, Mt. Lady decided to pull her worst move, she said in a seducing way, "Come on, you wouldn't tell a lie in front of a beautiful lady like me? Hmm?"
That immediately caused everyone at the scene to sweatdrop, except Mineta, who nosebleed, at the sight of such a display. The victim, Nagisa deadpanned and thought, 'Is this lady really a hero? She is just as shameless as Bitch-sensei...'
Kamui Woods scolded, "Mt. Lady, have some shame please."
The mineyama hero argued back, "What!? I'm just trying to get him to speak more."
So Iida answered in Nagisa's stead, "It might sound unbelievable, but the villain said she had no quirk." That grabbed the Pro Heroes' attention, Edgeshot asked, "Then how did she attack?"
"She said it was magic, but we don't really understand what she meant by that," Midoriya continued.
Though not having much in terms of understanding the villain, but enough to establish the events of the incident, Edgeshot said, "Thank you for your help, we will take care of the rest from here." Kamui Woods added, "You kids look pretty battered up, do you need to get to the hospital for treatment?"
Iida responded, "That would be-" But was interrupted by Kaminari and Kirishima, "Oh, we can take care of ourselves, no need to worry."
"Very well then," and then the three Pro Heroes joined the police in investigating the mall's central promenade. Iida then shouted, "Why didn't you let them get us some help?"
The redhead replied, "Come on Iida, we're not too banged up" The lightning blond nodded in agreement, "Yep, and we have unfinished business." The others agreed and glanced at the two boys in question.
As they leave the mall, Midoriya and Nagisa sweatdropped as everyone else stared at them, they knew they had to spill the bean, but more importantly, the blunet had some answers to give.
"Alright, I will tell you guys everything," The two said in unison as they gave in to the pressure, "The truth is that..."
They were interrupted when they heard a gurgling sound, it was Kirishima, "Sorry, my stomach's upset. Shouldn't we go have lunch first?"
"Come to think about it, we haven't eaten lunch yet. Perhaps we should go over it with some food." Yaoyorozu suggested.
"Oh, I know a restaurant nearby, it has some of the best noodles," Iida said.
"Yeah, that sounds great, Iida," Midoriya exclaimed, "What do you think, Nagisa?"
The blunet replied, "I'm fine with it, let's go." Everyone else also agreed. So they all headed down two streets and reached a rather large restaurant.
Once they entered, they were in luck as there weren't many customers at this hour. Out of the kitchen came the owner, who was a short and chubby man with four thick arms, he greeted the young heroes, "Welcome to my restaurant, may I ask what you would want to order?"
After they made their orders, they sat down at a large table. It didn't take the owner a long time to make their orders, and he brought in their food, eight bowls in his arms at a time. After bringing them their food and drinks, he said politely, "Please enjoy your meal." And then walked back into the kitchen.
They all picked up their chopsticks and said, "Itadakimasu." And then they dug in.
'This is delicious,' Nagisa thought, as he slurped in his bowl of katsu ramen, 'This is way better than those Muramatsu's dad makes.'
Uraraka, enjoying her bowl of miso chicken ramen, said, "You're right, Iida-kun, the food here is great."
"I know right," Iida replied, as he drank his cup of orange juice.
Even Bakugou, who was known for being a very strict food critic and not easily impressed, enjoyed his bowl of yaki ramen a lot. He said, "This is not so bad."
After satisfying their lunch, Yaoyorozu announced, "Alright, now that we've all had our fill, it's time to get to business."
Everyone turned their attention to Nagisa and Midoriya. The two sweatdropped, but it was the greenet who broke first, "Alright, I'll start first."
"So, Deku-kun, how did you really meet Nagisa-kun?" Uraraka asked curiously.
"Well, first of all, sorry for keeping this from everyone, and second of all, I lied to you, sorry. This is what happened, four days ago, after I finished jogging with All Might, I went on to jog for a bit longer, at first everything was fine, but then I felt something weird," Midoriya explained.
"What was it then?" Kirishima inquired.
Midoriya thought back to that moment, "At first it was a strong gust of wind and I saw a very subtle light in the sky. Then it was gone, so I gaze up for a few minutes. As I was about to leave, when all of a sudden, a bright light appeared above the trees on the road verge, so I instinctively hid on the other side of the road."
"And then?" Kaminari interrupted. The greenet continued, "Then I saw something fall from the light, and when I approached it, I found out it wasn't just anything, it was a person. At first, I thought the person was a girl," he glanced at Nagisa as he felt a glare from him, "And when I touched her, I felt she was having a fever."
Iida said, "So you rushed that person to the infirmary, right?" The greenet nodded, "Yeah, and when she woke up, Recovery Girl and I talked with her, and that's when we found out that the girl was actually a boy, and that's when we first met Nagisa."
The others were shocked at what the greenet said, Yaoyorozu said, "So that's what really happened." Jiro said, "Then why didn't you tell us that when you came back to the dorms?"
Midoriya explained, "I didn't want to tell you guys about Nagisa yet and cause a commotion, I promised him not to cause one." He glanced at the blunet, who smiled and nodded slightly in return.
Iida said, "I can understand that, but what I can't understand is how Nagisa fell out of a light in the sky." Sero added, "Yeah, people don't just appear in the air and fall all of a sudden."
The greenet continued, "That is because Nagisa is not from here." That surprised everyone, Tokoyami asked, "What do you mean by 'not from here'?"
"I mean Nagisa is from another world," Midoriya said, everyone's eyes widened at that revelation, "someone pulled him here from another universe for some goal I still can't figure out yet, but only that they want to end all heroes."
Hearing this, many were terrified at this information, Bakugou then asked, "Does anyone else know about this?" The greenet answered, "Only us, the principal, All Might and Aizawa-sensei."
Todoroki asked, "And that woman, was she related to that?" Nagisa replied, "We don't know, but I would say very likely."
The class president then said, "Now that we know what Midoriya had known, then Nagisa, can you tell us who you really are." Bakugou added scoffingly, "Yeah, how the hell did you change the air in the whole damn corridor the day you came, that ain't normal." Todoroki also asked, "And how did you dodge Asui and Kirishima when they were going to put you in the bag?" And everyone else had questions they wanted to ask the blunet, overwhelming him.
Nagisa glanced at Midoriya, and he said, "Guys, give Nagisa some space, you are overwhelming him."
Bakugou said, "Deku, don't be so nice to him, we don't know what he really is!" Midoriya replied, "Yeah, but at least let him gather his thoughts and say what he needed to say, I also have questions for him, but we can't just do it like it's an interrogation."
Hearing what the greenet said, Uraraka said, "Deku-kun, you're right, We shouldn't push him like this." Iida also said, "Agreed, we should let him say slowly."
Everyone quiet down and silence returned to the restaurant, Nagisa was very nervous and was trembling, but after hearing what Midoriya, Uraraka and Iida said, he thought, 'They all want to know me, and had so many questions. I had been such an unknown to them, and yet, they still helped me and protected me, perhaps I should tell them.'
After taking a deep breath and gathering his thoughts, Nagisa said, "Alright I will tell you all about me, ask me all the questions you want to ask, but please, you mustn't tell anyone else about this."
The suspense built up as Nagisa was about to reveal his secrets to the young heroes, they were anticipating this just before the battle, and now they were getting their answers.
Hagakure was the first to ask, "I'll go first, so what is your quirk?" The blunet simply answered, "I don't have one."
Everyone else's eyes widened in shock hearing that, except Bakugou, who just clicked his tongue, "Tsk, quirkless loser."
Tokoyami asked, "Then how did you cause what happened in the corridor the other day?"
Nagisa answered, "It's actually my bloodlust. Normally I can hide it easily, but when Mineta-san was about to assault me," He gave the grape-haired male a deathly glare, causing him to tremble, "I lost control of it, so I unwittingly cause that to happen." Nodding understandingly, Todoroki muttered, "Just like the Hero Killer."
The blunet heard what the older male said, "Who?" Iida replied, "Hero Killer: Stain, a dangerous villain who had killed several Pro Heroes he saw as fakes, Midoriya-kun, Todoroki-kun and I encountered him several months ago, and we witnessed a similar kind of bloodlust from him when we fought him and put him into custody."
Nagisa was astonished, "Really? You guys are incredible!" Midoriya rubbed the back of his head, "It's not really that incredible."
The red-and-white-haired male then asked monotonously, "And how about those moves you used when dealing with Mineta and dodging Kirishima and Asui?"
Nagisa was a bit scared to say it out loud, but Midoriya comforted him, "No need to be nervous, you don't have to say it." But feeling obliged to answer, the blunet gathered his courage and said, "It's from training, I am actually an assassin."
Hearing that, many were shocked, the girls trembled and muttered, "A-assassin?" The young boy nodded, "Yes, I'm an assassin. You see, back in my world, my classmates and I, students of Kunugigaoka Junior High Class 3-E, were trained to assassinate a global threat, a creature who would destroy the planet on an exact day. And that creature also conditioned that he wouldn't destroy the planet if he would be allowed to be my class's homeroom teacher."
"But couldn't the heroes in your world take care of that creature?" Kirishima asked. The blunet shook his head, "The thing is there are no heroes in my world, everyone is quirkless, just simple humans. Even if there are, my teacher will still destroy the planet at the end of my school year."
The thought of being quirkless was already pretty devastating to Class 1-A, but a whole another world where quirks didn't exist, it was near unfathomable to them.
Iida pondered a bit, "I don't understand, if the people in your world are quirkless, then what is your teacher?"
"My classmates and I call him Korosensei, he used to be human, and was the former top assassin. But ended up getting arrested after being betrayed by his apprentice, and was forced to be used as a test subject for experiments."
The young heroes were mortified at what they just heard. Midoriya thought, 'Betrayed and then used for experiments, that's inhuman.'
"W-what kind of experiments did he go through," Yaoyorozu asked hesitatingly. Nagisa answered, "Some scientists were experimenting on using human cells to create antimatter and the human body as a particle accelerator. And when they questioned what would happen to Korosensei's antimatter cells when he dies, the scientists experimented on the moon using a lab rat infused with his cells, and when the rat died, the antimatter in its body reacted volatilely, destroying seventy percent of the moon."
Even more mortified by what they just heard, Jiro asked, "And your teacher?" Nagisa lowered his head, "Korosensei will die at the end of the school year, and that is why we have to assassinate him before then, it is either he dies alone or he takes the world out with him."
As he said, tears started welling in his eyes and he sobbed, "And Korosensei was a great teacher, I really wish there is an alternate way." Midoriya and Uraraka comforted the blunet, and Kaminari gave him tissue paper to wipe his eyes, Nagisa thanked the three of them. Hagakure and Ashido, moved by the blunet's story, said in unison, "Aww, you poor thing."
Yaoyorozu said, "It's all very touching, but if your teacher was an assassin, then why did he decide to become your homeroom teacher?"
Nagisa replied, "That is because he befriended one of the workers there, who also happened to be my previous homeroom teacher for the year, but when Korosensei escaped from the laboratory, my teacher was killed when she landed in the line of fire of a trap meant for him, as Korosensei held her dying body in his arms, she told him her final wish, to teach my class as she thought he could be a fine teacher. Korosensei promised to fulfil her wish and donned a new appearance, took the blame for destroying the moon, threatened world leaders he will destroy the planet and exchanged their conditions, and started his teaching career as well as our assassin training."
Asui then asked, "So he became your teacher because it was a promise he made to your old teacher?" The blunet nodded, causing Ashido to say, "Oh my god, that's so sweet."
Nagisa nodded, "Yeah, Korosensei is a very sweet person, he was also the greatest teacher ever, he encouraged us to grow and develop our skills for the careers we have chosen even while we tried to assassinate him, he even taught my class from being at the bottom of the school to being the top class, ahead of the elite class 3-A."
Impressed by what he said, Sato exclaimed, "Wow, now that's a great teacher if I have ever heard of one."
"So why didn't you tell us this before?" Todoroki asked, the blunet replied, "That's because I was afraid that if I tell you guys that I'm an assassin, you wouldn't want to be my friends anymore."
After he said that, an awkward silence befell the students of class 1-A, causing Nagisa to shut his eyes in fear as everyone else just stared at him.
Then, he heard laughter. He looked up, and many of the others were laughing. Midoriya said, "You don't have to worry." Uraraka added bubbly, "We don't decide to be your friends based on who you are." Todoroki continued with a gentle smile, "Once a friend, always a friend."
Kirishima slapped a hand on Nagisa's back, "You may be an assassin, but you're still a very good fella, you can still be one of us, right Bakugou?" The ash-blond scoffed cooly, "Yeah whatever."
Hearing everyone's support, Nagisa's eyes welled up in tears again, not of sadness, but gladness and joy, he cleared his eyes and said, "Thank you all very much, I am glad to meet a bunch of friends like you."
They all cheered as class 1-A accepted Nagisa for who he was.
=| An Unknown location |=
In an abandoned building, Shadowhand reappeared, still in her witch-like appearance and bitter with the fact that she had to leave so prematurely. She then entered a dimly lit room, in there were four individuals, two women, one tall and one short, but both looked like Shadowhand, had wrinkly skin, pointy noses, greying hair, large clawed hands and sharp teeth, beside them were two men, one had pale skin, silver hair, piercing brown eyes, wearing a black suit and pants with a plain white dress shirt and brown boots, and the other man had brown skin, short black hair, small brown eyes, wearing a blue shirt and navy blue waistcoat along with trousers and black leather shoes.
Shadowhand said, "My mothers, what is so urgent that I have to leave my game so soon."
The tall woman, Redmoon replied, "You have completed your primary task, and you were losing, so we have to call you back before it's too late."
The short woman, Seer took out a glowing blue orb and added, "Not just that, but also this." The orb showed a yellow hole opening in the sky and a blue box flew out into the city below.
The pale man, Skinner said, "There's more." He fished into his pocket and took a phone, which played a video, showing thirty figures leaving Tokyo station.
"The information you had gathered is useful, we can use them to deal with those amateur heroes, but with them here so early, we will have problems, not to mention someone we know nothing of," the black-haired man, Lahar said as he pointed at an old-looking man in the video.
Shadowhand said, "Then what shall we do?"
Skinner replied, "We will continue observing them, as well as discuss with the others our next move."
Redmoon also added, "We will also ask the great mother if we can send one of us to check them out, this could be fun."
The three witches cackled and the two men laughed, "This partnership shall triumph!"
A/N:
Whoo! Finally finished this climax, and the secret of the assassin is finally revealed.
I chose the Lurkers to enter after the end of the battle mostly because they didn't really have much screen time, but also mostly because of Mt. Lady, she's just so similar to Irina, heck they are also about the same age. I wrote Class 1-A accepting Nagisa's status as an assassin because I see them as being the understanding kind of people, and that they wouldn't really break up with people based on who they are, just look at how they dealt with the dilemma of Aoyama being the traitor.
Also, I hope you guys could guess who the enemies are, cuz it's really obvious now.
In the next chapter, time for some much-needed reunion and encounter!
So stay tuned!
