Hello boys and girls, this is Big Red here with brand new chapter for those who need something to read this weekend. I was sure to upload it a bit earlier, but many things got in the way like my friend talking to be about things like the upcoming E3 even of all things. Any who, on to the recap so none of you would get lost on plot details. The Star tangoed with his three heroic enemies only to be defeated by their genius plan that involved a fake retreat and using his own elements against him. As if Chuck retrieving Varla was good enough, things would get worse with the monster Justice on his tail and the fact that he had to take Star with him. Zobio came back as a massive powerhouse like Justice and dealt some damage in order to help Chuck and The Star to escape his grasp. They managed to escape with the zombie couple's efforts and gave Varla back to her long lost friends (along with Head being punished for leaving the former behind to begin with). But something was going to happen soon with the emerald and Curien based on the hooded creature's last words. All will be explained once you read this exciting chapter of Sonic and Sega All Stars: Subspace Unleashed!
G was now happy that he had reunited with his long lost female partner since the many years he had stopped Goldman's plans. This street smart stripper with a heart of gold was no longer a brain in a jar and had her body reconstructed since her old one became a grotesque abomination. Even if Varla wasn't even out of her "sleeping phase", he is still happy to see her return from the dead nonetheless. The wide eyed detective Washington walked over to his shades wearing partner to take a closer look at Varla's very body to see what the tears were for. He could notice that despite being green skinned with many stretched scars on her body, she still looked as beautiful as ever with her well sculpted figure.
I can see what this freaking baby is weeping about. The chick is back with a body that still good despite being made out of all sorts of parts that belonged to various dead shit. If only my old man were alive, I could imagine myself bawling myself like a little bitch. But no, it's not gonna happen since I'm not fortunate enough for such a miracle to freaking happen.
The Star could do nothing but watch the two agents being satisfied with being able to see an old friend in a better condition, which means that the chances of them causing any more trouble in the mansion were low. But he did have to account for the fact that his master may be almost finished with the preparations of that said machine as they speak. On the other side of the this emotional scene, the grumpy mummy had finally placed the beaten skull back on his head after giving him the punishment he deserved for running away from him. He could still glare at Head as his eyes swirled around from that headache he had gained from it.
"Now that you head been battered enough, I hope you had learned your lesson and won't separate from me again! Do I make myself clear, bonehead?" Chuck said in an irritated tone.
"Yes, Chucky old pal. It will never happen again for which I cross my cranium and hope to die. And I meant figuratively instead of literally," he said as his optic organs still spun.
The mummy then noticed something familiar walked out of the corner and his posture was too familiar to ignore. It turned out to be Cyril all along and it seems that he's trying to check out his fellow undead brethren that still panicked despite the situation being over. But it couldn't be blamed since there were a few former lives that were taken but the lethal bullets of these agents and Justice had distracted Chuck's party from making it any earlier. though the conflict had been resolves, Chuck had this bad feeling that something bad would happen in any minute since there were so many zombies in one room. He thought back to when he had first came into contact with the purple Chaos Emerald and how badly that the cold hearted Curien needed for his personal plans this very night. Soon as he remembered that very tidbit, his eyes widened to the point of bothered his skull buddy that sad above his real head.
"Hey buddy, is there's something that's bothering you? Or is it one of those moments where you're hungry again because I know that feeling when you just feel barebones on having an empty stomach," he said before buckling at his own joke.
"No you silly scatterbrained skeleton head! I'm thinking of how convenient it is that we're trapped in this very room with many of the zombies and Varla Guns in this very room. Something is bound to happen and we shouldn't let our crusty guards down or else we could get our bones broken," he remarked with eyes of skepticism.
Suddenly, the massive screen above the the Ball Room's concert stage stated to beam loudly with a blaring static screen fizzing on the very monitor. The high frequency sounds were enough to alarm the very zombies in the room and they were enough to attract their limited attention to the screen. Head knew what Chuck was skeptical about and jumps in shock since the static noised came out of nowhere. The mummy would eventually look at this screen with little surprise since he expected this to happen soon as he came here. The Star and the two agents would draw their attention to the static screen itself since this was arrantly alarming due to its appearance being sudden.
"Now what the hell is going on in this freaky mansion this time? It was enough for use to break through waves of crazy zombies to get to this messed up place!" the detective complained with his loud voice.
G himself knew what the very mission was about but didn't expect the dusty screen in this very zombie concert to actually work. He clenched his hands around the body of Varla is security since there's a chance that something would eventually be after her body. The Star did little to no reaction since he knew that his master would eventually broadcast his plans to his creations before continuing with his very plan. After a good three minutes of fizzing loudly, the screen would eventually be fixed to a great close up of a hidden lab that depicted the good doctor himself. He had this look of serious business on his face and he was in no good mood to wait any longer since tonight was considered his night for chaos.
Speaking of chaos, the very machine that was behind him had the very Chaos Emerald in its chamber to serve its purpose as the device that would kickstart his next move. Most of the zombies in the room were in complete awe due to how shiny the gem was and paid little attention to their own master. Chuck himself slowly grimaces soon as he took a look at that very gem since he knew that this was all part of his very plan to this very moment. While sudden appearance of the gun toting agents were unexpected in his eyes, Curien knew that they would eventually be after him for the emerald and Varla's brain to make things more shocking. The brilliant scientist himself chuckled slightly and adjusts his glasses before he would make the grand announcement for this night.
"Good evening my fellow creations and children! I know that you are wondering what this beautiful device is and why am I communicating you through your special performance room. It's because I have talked with a few friends who are on their way here with an army and there is something important that should be announced right here and now," he said with a sinister voice.
The undead creatures of the mansion were groaning in confusion since they didn't know that more people were coming here and they really hoped it isn't more gun wielding "monsters" like the agents. Chuck clenched his bandaged fists tightly since he have be cautious about this man's cruel intentions and had this sinking feeling that it has something to do with the emerald in that machine.
"But before we get started, I would like to let you know we are guaranteed to strike back against the world and the rest of the human race thanks to the help of these friends and they were the ones whole were responsible for that purple mass that's in the back of my mansion. That is a good example of what they had been doing to a variety of locations on this very planet and they managed to take over plenty of areas with the help of the special weapons that created such mass. I really don't know much about what it does or where does it lead you, but it is part of their plan of global domination for which they are the Legion of Subspace!" he exclaimed with a voice of excitement towards the end.
A majority of the zombies in the room were still pretty confused since they had arguably lost their will of hatred for the world and some even felt the need that setting out for the human populated areas weren't in their best interests. G knew that Curien would have something to do with the Legion of Subspace since the government had told them everything about what they had done internationally. From kidnapping civilians by petrifying them to capturing areas with the help of these Subspace Diffusion Bombs, these guys were high profile criminals that needed to be stopped through their best efforts. The more G thought, the more he realized that having your average police squadron wouldn't be enough to put an end to their plans of terrorism and destruction. Washington himself felt a bit uneasy since this was even bigger that your average zombie outbreak and could be something that would require more than just the two of them.
Whoever this Curien nutjob is, he had gotten himself quite the hook up for teaming up with these Legion psychopaths. This is something that's even more bigger than what that Papa Caesar bastard had done years ago.
"Washington, it's like we've stumbled upon the right guy that we're looking for. But the bad thing is that we never knew he had a connection with the Legion of Subspace all along. Or maybe it's just him being his egoistic self and taking some of the credit for his actions," G said urgently.
Curien took a good look at his old nemesis soon as he heard him speak, with the same disturbing look that a hawk would give to its prey when scouting the skies.
"Taking all the credit? Don't make me laugh! This is just merely part of a deal that I've agreed with since the Legion merely needs the emerald for their more personal reasons that I'd rather not explain. And besides, I have a more important message to spread since I would rather not waste enough time for them," he remarked in a stern tone.
G had a bad feeling about what he said since something big is happening with the Legion and his scientist target is not in a mood to explain himself at this time. The first time he did was to aim his gun at the man on the screen to show that he's got some serious questions for him.
"More personal reasons ain't going to cut it since we need to know everything that these subspace freaks are planning to do this world. First of all, what do you need to do with that emerald or what the Legion is planning on doing with all seven of them? Secondly, tell me why you had stole Varla's brain for the sake of rebuilding her entire body from scratch? One of your loyal creations, the hooded guy next to me, had bought her here for a reason and I have a feeling that it's for more than just a simple reunion for us. Answer me immediately and more of your precious creations are gonna get hurt!" the shades wearing agent demanded.
Curien literally gave him that look that you would give someone that even considers you a joke despite your words being definite and correct. The middle aged man literally glared at his nemesis as he sweats to show signs of being under a lot of pressure. Chuck D. Head was on the same boat since he needed more answers from this psychotic "human" since he knows that he's going to pull something a bit more sketchy after he explains himself. The bald foul mouthed detective even gave him the same glare since he is read to bust a cap in any other monster that this man plans to send out with his trusty machine gun in hand. The Star could do nothing to give his master a serious look since he no longer felt that he should be under his wing anymore after Chuck had spared his life earlier. All of a sudden, the man could do nothing but walk up to the machine behind him and look at the gauge on the right of it. You could tell that he's under a lot of pressure due to having to do this quickly while having to answer himself for his own futile enemies.
"Well, you've wanted questions from a brilliant man like me? Then you shouldn't expect to much to be said since you'll wind up being dead within a few minutes anyway since I'm about to start this machine that you see. As a wise man said, fate rests in the hands of those who know how to control the ones of others. And I am in a mood to show off what this machine is capable of doing since I can tell that my beloved creations are tired of staring at the screen ….with their dead frozen faces of despair," he said in a gravely voice.
From here on out, things would take a turn for the worse since Curien was serious about making sure that his plan is set in motion immediately. He reaches his right hand for the lever beside the left side of the machine like a man would is tempting to touch something that they shouldn't. Cyril took a look at what happened and would do nothing but to drop his hatchets in shock since this was something that he would not want to experience. Without further hesitation, he would finally pull the lever at full force and the machine starts to channel all the energy from the emerald inside it. The gem shines brightly as the energy from it channels into the deeper parts of the machine like a vampire draining the energy out of its foe. It then channels that energy even further as purple electricity cackles across the machine itself and it roars like a contraction machine on steroids. G and Washington then grunts in caution since what he's cooking was something even bigger than summoning another creature of the night. As a matter of a fact, this might seem like something straight out of a horror film that's about to occur soon.
The Curien Mansion now started to get even more ominous as a storm appears to cooking in the dark skies above it. Normally, storms occur as an omen of bad things that are bound to occur for which it really was for the case of this night. Curien's room itself was shaking further due to the unstable ability to contain the Chaos Emerald's destructive power and the crazy scientist himself had shown no fear ver what's going to happen to him. He then broke into a psychotic laughter unlike his usual chuckles since this man had truly went insane with a lust for control over what went on in his base of operations. Soon the zombies were even more confused about what was going to happen to anyone who was allowed to live in his mansion as they murmured with a serious of collective groans. The only sane ones that knew something was going happen was the panicking Cyril and the indifferent Star since this man had truly lost his sanity at that moment.
"Can someone tell me what the hell is going on in this house? I've seen enough horror movies in my damn life and it doesn't even compare to the shit that's about to go down here!" Washington said while preparing to shoot anything that's coming.
G himself still held on tight to Varla's unconscious body at this moment since he really didn't want to lose her again while something big is about to happen soon.
"Hey, you with the hood!" he shouts in an attempt to get The Star's attention.
The hooded creation then glared aside to get a look at the human agent that had a question about what this madman was planning to do at the moment.
"Can you tell me what this guy's plan with that Chaos Emerald and why he's even broadcasting this to the zombies? I can tell that what is about to ensue is not something that we should all take lightly," he asked in desperation.
"I would like to answer your question, but it's something that you wouldn't like since that woman is in your arms. Do you think you are strong enough to handle what I'm about to say?" the mysterious creation answered.
G thought about The Star's words while looking at the green skinned stripper that he held and couldn't bear to think about anything bad happening to her. But he had to realize that his very mission was to instigate the Chaos Emerald in the mansion and stop Curien's plans.
"I'm strong enough to handle it and I am prepared for anything that this bastard pulls out of his sleeve. Tell me what's about to happen and I'll make sue that whatever happens to Varla will be solved easily," he said.
The insane scientist had this bloodthirsty look on his face wilder white hair on his head as the bolts of purple lightening flew from his unstable machine, being determined to really put an end to their lives.
"Instead of letting that treacherous freak answer your question, then allow me to do the honors. That Chaos Emerald will be used to refuel my undead army with the juice they need to become cold hearted destructive monsters to aide in my conquest to taking over this city. But when the Legion decided to speak with me, I've figured that helping them take over the world would be even better. And the catch is that the woman you hold is also a part of my army too and I wouldn't want to leave yourself too close to her if I were you!" he said with powerful voice.
G looked back at the beautiful woman in his arms as he said those words and was at the point where he didn't want to feel betrayed by her for the second time in history.
"You are one sick monster and you know that Dr. Curien. You had recreated her from scratch to follow the same disturbing path as Papa Caesar. Your many plans with Goldman were bad enough, but helping these terrorists take over our very planet that humans strive on on? You are out of your mind and the most twisted being I've ever known!" he beamed in anger.
Little did Curien know, the machine behind him was beginning to severely malfunction and slowly starts to break about in many explosive ways. Caring little about his own safety, the insane scientist would say some final words to his heroic pest.
"Just hear these words, G. You are in the House of the Dead and you won't make it out alive when my new army slaughter you and the others in this very room," he said before breaking into a final laughing fit.
The screen now depicts the entire room shaking even harder as the scientist keep laughing maniacally with his more deranged appearance. He now appears to be something that came out of hell itself as he slowly started to gain a more deformed appearance with his body glowing. This is partially due to the Chaos Emerald's power mutating his very body to a dangerous degree as the purple lighting flashes around the room. Next thing they all knew, the machine eventually exploded violently and fully engulfed the insane scientist in a sheet of flames and smoke. The screen itself eventually reverts back to static to show that the entire room along with the man himself was most likely destroyed from the powerful blast.
All G could do was simply shake his head in disbelief since you knew that someone would go this far just to use a Chaos Emerald's power without knowing of the destructive backlash that its power cause within the wrong hands. The zombies in the couldn't help but to chatter amongst themselves in confused moans since they were wondering what happened to him before the screen would be shut down like that. Cyril himself quickly picked his hatchets and ran away from the crowd since he knows thats something back way about to happen soon. Chuck noticed this and ran toward the panicking zombie in concern with Head being confused about everything he saw.
"Why are you freaking out when the guy himself is probably dead? Shouldn't you be celebrating the fact that you are probably not going to be brainwashed by him?" he said when grabbing a hold of the collar of his torn shirt.
The zombie himself would rather tell the mummy everything wrong so that he can be as alarmed as him.
"Cyril had seen this happen before many times before! He's using the power of that generator to destroy parts of the mansion with the lightning from a manmade storm! This is something he had done in the past in response to the many times someone had stumbled into his lab as punishment!" he said with his eyes widened in fright.
Chuck himself absorbed what the frightened zombie said and thought about what the Chaos Emerald had done in the very room. Head even remembered all the things that Curien babbled about using the emerald's power to turn everyone into slaves powered by the unstable energy of the Chaos Emerald and the lighting that Cyril had mentioned. The skull eyes now popped out of his head as he screams which startled his buddy Chuck as well.
"So you're saying that lighting would be tearing this mansion apart with the power of that Chaos Emerald? We really got to get out of this room or else we're all gonna die!" he screamed.
Washington heard the commotion from afar and couldn't help but to get in on their gloom and doom prophecies since he had no time for games.
"What the freak? So you're saying that this dude probably whipped up a storm with energy from the Chaos Emerald just so we all can get shocked to death and become his zombified slaves? Now that is the biggest load of s….
Suddenly, a massive purple blast crashed through the roof of the building and ravaged the entire crowd of zombies that were standing before them. Chuck grabbed his zombie friend and ran from the smoke that flown in their direction as Washington ran away with them. The Star used this opportunity to grab G's hand and drag him towards the exit since he could sense another bolt coming down from the sky.
"Take my hand and start running!" he said after clutching the agent's hand.
G did no hesitation and ran with the hooded figure with bragging Varla since he didn't want her to be left behind. Suddenly, a musclebound zombie grabbed her exposed legs and tried to tug the unconscious woman away from G. He glared at the undead brute and tried pulling her back from him with his might.
"No, leave her be! I know that you don't want it to happen, but there's no other way!" The Star said.
"I'm not leaving her again! There's no way that I'm going to let her get vaporized or become a slave of that bastard!" he said while pulling harder.
Chuck noticed the commotion and knew that he had to do one thing: using his head. Before Head could response, he would eventually be launched at the zombie that's pulling Varla at full speed while screaming at the top of his lungs. The skull finally struck the zombie in his head, but at the cost of him successfully pulling the woman away from G.
"Varla!" he cried as The Star finally pulls him away from the area with his flight.
Head luckily rebounded in the same direction that Chuck threw him and was placed back on his pal's head with a dazed look. The next Chaos Emerald infused bolt would eventually crash though the ceiling and fully engulf both victims in the end with another powerful impact. The smoke then blew in everyone's direction as they covered their eyes to avoid being blinded by the dark clouds of dust. The shades wearing agent finally uncovered his face after a few moments only to see that both Varla and the zombie appeared to be shocked to death by the deadly thunderbolt with their bodies lying motionless on the charred ground. He was at that point where felt that his moments with the woman he loved were wasted and that she was dead for the second time. G would then slump onto the ground in defeat and placed both of his hands on the ground with a painful feeling in his chest.
"No ….. it can't end like this. I finally had her secure in my very arms …. only for her lost to be lost again," he said in a mournful voice.
The agent could now do nothing but to sob loudly with the posture of defeat as tears poured from under his dark lenses. The Star and the others watched the man as he mourns her death and couldn't help but to feel really bad for what happened since he's in that emotional state of not wanting to be bothered. Head couldn't hold his tears any longer and wailing loudly since he felt that it was partially his flat that she had to be killed by that thunderbolt. Chuck definitely felt guilty for what happened since he had to think of something to help G out, but didn't expect for her to suffer because of his plan. Washington himself was no better since he wanted to yell at him for crying like a baby, but felt that it would do him no good since G really felt hurt from what happened with Varla's body. Cyril was already crying from the past thirty seconds since he couldn't bear to witness this tragedy any longer with his cold dead eyes.
"Why, why did someone had to die again because of that lighting trick of Curien's? Cyril would do no good with this stuff at all since it was indeed deadlier than the lighting that happened the last tiiiiiiime!" he said while wailing.
Then things went for a darker turn when someone took one of his axes and swing it at his very neck to fully decapitate his head. The Star and a bad feeling about what happened soon as Head screamed from the shocking scene. Suddenly, an agile Fatman had body slammed him from the air at full force to smash him into the stone ground of the Ball Room. While he had the very appearance of the average obese zombie, this one seemed different for which The Star's body was fully crushed from the impact and a massive crater formed from the sneak attack. Washington and Chuck had little time to react and tripped on the curved slopes of this mini crater to roll near them. Then more zombies flew at the two of them and kicked them away with their newfound strength to the two heroes flying. Washington landed onto the ground from the attack with the bandaged mummy falling on top of him from the attack. And it appeared that the crowd of zombies were fully revived with a frightening set of purple glowing eyes and frightening aura emitting from their undead bodies. These zombies were now four times stronger than ever thanks to the powers of that Chaos Emerald infused lighting and they were now hungry for flesh. The Fatman jumped off of Star leaving him some time to crawl out of the crater through limping.
Damn it! I had a feeling that these guys would be infused with the emerald's energy, but not in this manner!
Not only these powerful zombies had a more frightening appearance and monster strength, but they demonstrated the ability to fly swarming towards The Star at full force. The hooded figure used the strength he had to fly away towards a more secure area and to properly face them. The Fatman then noticed the defeated Washington and Chuck as he started to rush towards them like a charging tank.
"Get the hell away from me you smelly sack of shit!" the detective shouts with his gun blasting at heavy fire.
Because of the undead fatty's enhanced power, the bullets did little damage to him as the flesh was ripped by each bullet. Chuck would then use his powerful face to headbutt the Fatman at full force, only for his face to bashed in by the zombie's tank like body. He would then fly towards the wall again due to the force of his powerful tackle and Washington was now defenseless after his shootout failed to phase him.
"I'm getting too old for this…"
He was now struck by the obese zombies powerful arm and sent flying towards the wall. These new and improved zombies were now unstoppable powerhouses due to the energy of the sacred gem pulsing through their mutated veins as they easily dominate the heroes. Meanwhile, The Star was having a heated dogfight against the fleet of zombies that flew after him in the upper areas of the Ball Room. The hooded figure threw a storm of knives at the glowing undead creatures as they dodged the ones that tried to charge at him. The knives themselves weren't strong enough to really kill them for which the blades were pierced into their flesh with little to no effect on their aerial capabilities. Star was surprised at this and knew that thinking of some more powerful attacks would be enough to show these guys what he's really made of. He now raised both of his aims into the air to charged the right amount of energy for his next attack.
"Let's see if you annoying pests can handle this tactic! Take this!" he said before initiating his attack.
A storm of purple energy blasts would take the form of a powerful scattershot and take on the pursuing Chaos zombies at full force. The blasts themselves were strong enough to knock several of them away while the more resilient ones continued to fly at the hooded figure. The Star would then start spinning rapidly to whip up on of his strongest tornadoes to handle these persistent creatures before either would cause any hard to his body. The zombies that were pushed back by the blast would then watch their other allies prepare to dog pile their powerful prey with dazed looks. He kept spinning at a faster pace to gather the right amount of momentum and speed necessary for a really strong attack since it could be what can eventually trump these creature's new strengths. The whirlwinds started to pick up within every second as a dangerous funnel forms from the being's spinning body. A few of the Chaos enhanced zombies would then attempt to bash through the strong winds and ravage his body until it would be too late for them to do so. Star started to launch the destructive twister with all his strength and it would inhale the nearby zombies inside of it with it's powerful suction. The other zombies that never followed their entrapped allies would eventually let out terrified screeches before trying to escape its wrath.
"You guys are better off joining your friends in the vortex! Rest in peace!" The Star said before shooting his blast at the remaining ones.
Like the last time, these shots were able momentarily stun the powerful zombies due to the impact and the tornado would suck them inside. The devastated G is too gloomy to even care about the endangerment of the allies as he continued to sob over the death of Varla near her charred body.
"Oh Varla, why did this have to happen to you before you were able to speak a single word to us? All I ever want to hear is your sweet voice agains so that we can finally go home together after the mission!" he bellowed with his face warm from constant tears.
He was too emotionally broken to even worry about using his famed gun again and kept grieving over the loss of his beloved ex-partner. He would then feel something warm reach out and pat him on his back in a comforting manner. He didn't who it was and assuming it was someone else unimportant that was bothering him during his breakdown.
"Washington, can you please leave me be! I would rather want to spend my last few moments with her while her body is still there for a proper funeral," he said in a sorrowful tone.
A familiar female voice would then say, "You would want me to leave you alone? That's not a way to treat a lady who is inviting you to spend some time with her."
The agent would then slowdown on his grieving and look around for where the source of that voice was. He was looking around the entire room and tried to find out who was trying to comfort him at the moment, while being oblivious of the violence that ensued in the Ball Room.
"Who was that? Where are you? Can you say that again, ma'am?" he said while looking around.
Another arm would eventually reach for his chin and stroke it in a loving manner since this individual really wanted to get the man's attention. G started to grow from depressed to uncomfortable since he really wanted to know who or what is doing this to him.
"Big boy, have your eyes down here since something beautiful wants to see you. Don't be shy and take a peek at my more attractive features," the mysterious female voice said.
The agent would then look down and see something that would eventually make him drop his jaw in extreme shock: Varla Guns was finally alive and well despite her damage from the lightning. The voluptuous woman looked back at him with an alluring expression now that she was able to get her savior's attention and she was even more beautiful now that she could actually move. G would then take of his shades to clear away the wetness around his eyes since he really wanted to get a great view of the undead stripper in all her glory. She would then slowly raise her body up to his and wrap her arms around his very back to get even closer to him. Her revealing breasts would eventually press against his chest which would cause the serious agent to get even more uncomfortable to the point of sweating. His love was finally alive and she's actually trying to tempt him while he's in the middle of a a serious conflict in this hellish ballroom.
"Don't be shy you hunky piece of muscle, you deserve yourself a reward to bringing me back to my sexy goodness. You really need it since I bet that you're stressed from all the zombie hunting and shit since the last time we had met," she said before suggestively licking her lips.
The agent was intentionally trying to resist her charms hill in a state of confusion and hesitation as he tried to back up from the bewitching undead beauty. Varla would eventually pull him in with her new strength and locked her lips with his to make up with the reluctant G since she's in the right mood for pleasing her lustful desires. He would eventually lose his resistance and kept passionately making out with his "loving dead". While the zombies were still attacking Chuck and Washington with their overwhelming speed and fast attacks, the bald detective would then catch a glimpse of the unusual scene happening from afar and couldn't believe his eyes. His very partner that longed to see Varla after all these years were now having the time of his life with the sexy vixen after the fact that she was shocked earlier.
"Oh hell no! I know this freaking partner of mines isn't locking lips with that chick while we are in the middle of getting our asses kicked by super zombies! Can't he just stop having his manhood hard and actually help us out?" he complained with his usual loud tone.
The flying zombie would eventually swoop down and grab the detective again to give him another special trip to the skies for his next attack. Washington struggled as the undead mutated creature lifted him off of the ground and severely cursed within each second at the thought of this happening again. Varla would continue making out with her shades wearing boy toy as he feel into his spell since he was now in a state of power were he basically belong to her. This gave her the opportunity to slowly lift her hand and aim it where his belly was to show of her true colors. She would eventually pull her face away from him with a more innocent expression as G had looked back into her luminous eyes.
"G, there is something I've been wanting to say to you now that I'm finally awake," she said before stroking his face with her left hand.
The man himself was too blinded by how great her kiss was to even care about what he would experience answering her.
"Yes Varla, I'm all ears and you can tell me anything as long as I'm here. Anything for you, beautiful," he said with a smile.
Suddenly, she gave off a rather sinister smile and used her other hand to stab G straight into his belly at full force. The zombified hand was able to piece straight through the agent's thick flesh and break the ribcage that protected his more vulnerable organs. This caused the harmed agent to gag loudly as blood sprayed from his very mouth and his very frail body spazzed from the severe pain. Chuck was able to witness this act after tossing a Chaos zombie back at the Fatman that tried to tackle him again, causing his eyes to widen in show. Head himself was able to see it too and the skull's lower law dropped dramatically after seeing the woman wound her own friend.
"What, what just happened? It's like she's gotten back up only to try and kill that human with her own hands," he said in shock.
Washington was finally slammed against the ground again by the same zombie that carried him away and Chuck tried his hand at attacking the undead fiend. The Star had managed to fend off the more aggressive aerial zombies with the help of his fast knife attacks and powerful tornados to trap them with a few still ready for more. Before he would attack, the hooded being looked towards the ground to see what he somewhat expected from the start. Varla begins to stand from the ground while holding her stabbed human victim like a pitchfork with a bratwurst at the end. Star could do noting but watch as this brainwashed woman would raise her target into the air and prepare to give him a sadistic lecture.
That Curien is one cruel individual to turn his own love against him for his own sick desires. Sure it wasn't part of the plan, but there was no other way to avoid it since that mummy really wanted to bring her back to him just for the sake of stopping bloodshed. But ironically, the bloodshed would continue since the Chaos Emerald fueled lightning would serve as a way of turning these victims against the him and those humans.
Before he could react to them, a few of the Chaos zombies attacked him at full force and swarms his entire body like piranhas preparing to enjoy their new meal. Chuck and Washington were still struggling with the same Chaos Emerald infused undead as well since they didn't know when to give up and their strength knows no bounds. Chuck's powerful attacks could to nothing to wear the hellish living dead down as they "laughed" sinisterly with their unearthly moaning before backing the two against the wall. Head could do nothing to whine since this was one of these days where he wished he could live longer instead of being eaten to death by super zombies.
"Got any other ideas before these freaking zombies rip us apart and eat on our disgusting innards? I would like to have my final words as to regret having to do this shit before I die like a freaking dog!" the detective said while walking with his weakened legs.
"No, I'm all out of one thing I'd like to say, I would blame this bonehead to getting us into this mess in the first place," Chuck said with his face sweating in fear.
"Please, it wasn't my fault that we would have gotten to this castle in the first place. You are still as mean as you were since the century I've known you, meat head!" Head replied with tears in his eyes.
The Fatman would let out a blood curdling roar to show how starved he was since attending the skull's comedy show as his infected mouth drooled with foul smelling breath. That breath lone smelled like something that would happen to the three of them once they were to become the meal of this tub of lard. G would eventually be slammed against the hard ground after listening to her very words and the wounds continuously poured the blood of his heartbroken feelings. Varla had stepped on that same area extremely hard as listened as the very man screamed from the intensity of his pain. She smiled in response to his misery since the sounds of despair were like music to her ears at this very moment.
"Awwwww, you can't just be submissive like a bitch yet! You have to realize that you need to be dead like me in order for us to be together and I promise you that Curien will fix you up real good once he gets here," she said in taunting manner.
G wouldn't get angry at her since he was in enough pain and misery to do so at this moment.
"You …. mean … that he's still alive despite blowing himself up?" he said after coughing more blood.
Varla applied more pressure to G's wound to make him scream even louder in response to his question.
"Yes that man is still alive. How the hell do you think I was able to stand up after being powered by the lighting from his device? No matter, just relax and let me put you out of your misery before he arrives to finish things up," she said before raising her fist behind her.
This time, she was channeling the power of the Chaos Emerald in her hand to make sure that this punch alone would be enough to kill the agent that laid beneath her feet. G tightly shut his eyes while groaning from the pain to prepare for the worst thing that could happen to him. She would then throw her fist down to make his death be quick as possible until something miraculous would happen. A familiar black hedgehog would warp behind the zombified woman and deal a powerful kick to her very back, causing her to gasp in pain from the severity of it. G would then open his eyes and witness the scene given that he didn't expect to be saved before getting slaughtered by Varla.
"So it appears that I came just in time to get this next emerald only for someone to be misusing it for their own sinister desires. Not a surprise since the energy of the one I had was able to lead me here," said the serious Shadow.
Varla herself was so angry at the hedgehog for interrupting her that she focused her very attention on the levitating rodent.
"If you wanted to die at my very hands and become Curien's new slave, then why didn't you ask?" she shouts before preparing to punch him.
The hedgehog scoffs and warped from her very view with his special Chaos Control ability. The zombie stripper looked around for her attacker with his fists ready for him with her vicious eyes looking around for another target. This is one of these moments where G wish he had the energy to shoot her very head, but hesitated since he thinks the energy of the emerald is what's causing her to be this hostile. Shadow would reappear above her head and slam his fists atop it to cause enough damage to her exposed head. Varla's eyes whited out from the lack of energy in her brain and her entire body went limp from the nervous system failing on her. This caused the voluptuous zombie to fall onto the ground from this severe attack and Shadow would drop to the very ground afterwards. G looked at the brooding hedgehog with a thankful expression despite being wounded from that last backstabbing and had a question for his savior.
"It was nice of you.. to stop by and save me from being… killed by her. Wh…. who are you?" he said while clutching on his pain.
Shadow would then look at the wounded agent and take out his badge of identification to show who he's affiliated with.
"I am Shadow the Hedgehog and I was sent here by the Guardian Unit of Nations to investigate this Chaos Emerald's location. Since it looks like things were a bit difficult for you, then allow me and my allies to take care of these pests for you," he said with a smile.
The Star was already wounded from his struggle against these flying Chaos zombies as he had endured enough bite marks from them. The hungry flesh eating monsters were tried of waiting on him to die and darts at him like hawks preparing to devour their prey. Out of the blue, a familiar multicolor ship would launch a series of his famed missiles at these fiendish creatures to send them falling to the ground. The Star would then look to the side to see Opa Opa in his cheery mood as the the ship did a fist bump in victory. The Chaos zombies wear already angered from that sneak attack and screeched at him like a mad mob. A massive red and white rocket would drop itself on top of them from the in the roof crush them with enough weight to put them to rest. The hatch of the ship opened to real all four ChuChu captains and they gave Opa Opa the signal that their plan had worked. The three zombies that were preparing to eat Washington and Chuck focuses the attention on the ship behind them to notice that the zombies who were crushed before they could enjoy their prey. This alone was enough for the Fatman to growl like a wild beast and start walking towards the machine with his fist ready to crush it. The other two zombies obediently followed him to leave their victims thankful that weren't about to be eaten this very night, but they were concerned about the alarmed ChuChu captains that were about to be their late night snacks this time.
"Chuchuchuchu chuchuchuchu!" Chuih yelled at ChuBach since it was his idea to crash here.
The Fatman was getting closer to the rocket as the space mice panicked before his eyes of vengeance on their famed rocket. It wasn't until sounds of concrete rumbling could be heard above the three zombies as looked up to see what it was. Turned out it would be slabs of the broken floor and ceiling that feel from the damaged floors above them that broke though the Ball Room's ceiling to reach the unsuspecting zombies. Before they could react, the slabs had finally crushed them as the other massive pieces piled atop each other heavily to form a large pile of broken debris. All four captains had opened their eyes to see what happened and sighed altogether since they were glad to not be eaten by their undead enemies that wanted to avenge their friends that were crushed. Everyone's favorite blonde teenage gunner had dropped from the floor above them and landed atop the pile that he caused thanks to his trademark guns.
"Did somebody want to see a real show from the best sharpshooter in town? You guys were having a party and I wasn't invited at all. For shame people, for shame!" Zephyr said with his usual smug tone.
Shadow's entire group along with their new ally Opa Opa had arrived since their last mission in Red Mountain and had successfully infiltrated the home of the 6th Chaos Emerald. Turned out they their interference had also saved the agents and their undead friends from being zombie food, proving that having one emerald isn't enough to make them powerful enough for them.
"So, you were also sent here to investigate the Chaos Emerald's location as well? It was a good thing that we had shown up just in time before there were any casualties here," Shadow said while observing G's stomach wound.
"Yes, the U.S. government had also sent us here to take care of Curien's underground activity since he stole Varla's brain for the sake of making her a new body. Should have known that something was fishy about her pushy behavior after being shocked by that purple thunder," he said before having another hard cough.
Shadow takes out a special gun that he had in case of emergencies like this, one that was originally used by him to heal G.U.N. soldiers in the past. The agent was alarmed by this and was hesitant on letting the hedgehog shoot his wound with that.
"What the hell are you … doing with that? Is that gun going to be used for laser surrey or something," he said in fear.
"Trust me, Agent. It's going to be alright since this should be enough to solve that nasty problem of yours," he said before aiming for his patient's wound.
The gun itself shot a continuous blue ray at his wound and G's pain slowly started to the disappear at it beamed onto the gaping fleshy wound he had.
"If you didn't have the energy to help us fight Curien, then it would have been hard for all of us since you know more about him than we do. And in case you didn't get it the first time, he's heading his way to this area since we last saw him flying back into the mansion when we got here," Shadow reassured.
G could felt the wound itself closing due to the healing effects of Shadow's gun and the rib's that were previously broken had reassembled themselves, given him a sense of security as he allowed the hedgehog to heal him. Washington and Chuck walked over to where the two were and watched as Shadow was in the process of nursing him back to health.
"Can you tell me what's with the gun and how is he getting any better?" the mummy asked in confusion.
"It's called a Heal Cannon and it was constructed with the same technology as the capsules my creator Dr. Gerald Robotnik made in the past. these guns were meant to be used to heal any fallen soldiers' wounds by reversing any damage that was done or even undoing the pain applied to that area," Shadow answered.
The ChuChu captains leapt out of their rocket and waddled their way to the hedgehog as Zephyr walked in that direction. Both The Star and Opa Opa descended towards that very area to watch the commotion that went on where their friends were. Shadow would finally let go of the Heal Cannon's trigger and the blue rays would die down since this should be enough healing for the shades wearing agent. The hedgehog would then back up so that G could have some room to slowly stand up with his newly revitalized body. The first thing he would do is fell the area where his wound used to be and realize that his body was now completely spotless of any gaping gashes.
"As much as I hate to say this, I would really want to thank you for healing me and saving my hide. I've never thought that the G.U.N. would send themselves a team to help us out on this mission," he said before brushed the back of his head with a nervous grin.
Shadow's entire group had cheered for their leader's successful operation of tending the wounded and Chuck was relieved that he was alright after that last attack. Washington then grabbed G from behind and shake him like a madman since he was worried about what could have become of his partner.
"G, don't you ever freaking scare me like that again! You are my main man and I wouldn't know how to act if you had died here in this messed up place," he said angrily with tears in his eyes.
Head could only cry himself for this moment since seeming someone survive the cold claws of Death would be lucky to be saved by this mysterious black hedgehog. Chuck unsurprisingly would be annoyed by his skull headed partner's annoying habit of crying. Cyril's body had walked over to where the group was with his decapitated head and use this opportunity to screw it back it place to much of Zephyr's amusement. It wasn't long until a massive crash would occur on the other side of the ballroom and it came from the one and only Curien himself. Everyone grew cautious, especially G and Chuck, since something was quite different from him unlike what they saw from the screen. He was now back in his true form from the last time G and the others killed him, the powerful Wheel of Fate with his trademark mechanical wheel to accompany him.
"It appears that you fools had eliminated part of my army and defeated the super soldier that I really worked hard to rebuild from scratch. But no matter, I shall destroy every single one of you and resurrect you all as replacements for my now dead army!" he said in his ominous voice.
As he was having an emotional reunion with the unconscious Varla, it was safe to assume that no more zombie lives would be lost in the Ball Room. That was until things took as darker turn when Curien broadcasted his very plans to everyone in the room and reveal himself to the humans that wanted his head. After enough threats from G and the others, the scientist had knowingly unleashed something that would revert every undead (including Varla) into powerful slaves thanks to the power of the Chaos Emerald and his special lightning machine. Varla managed to severely wound her own love interest while the other zombies were over powering everyone in the room until Shadow's group (except an absent Wreck It Ralph) would ago save the day. After enough introductions and the agent being fully healed by the hedgehog G.U.N. operative, Curien (aka The Wheel of Fate) himself would appear and state that he would be the one to kill them for ruining his plans. You will be able to see how things ensue in next week's chapter on Friday as usual. For those who were worried about the mini chapter on E3 and my Smash Ballot choices, I figured that it would be much appropriate to do so the weekend before the event starts so you all have some time to wait for it. In the meantime, Chao... errrr Ciao!
