For six years, Alex was an honorary member of the Granger family. He had to go back to university but was now working for an organization that helped people in need. When Hermione did accidental magic in front of them, he sat down with Jean and Richard to discuss the Harry Potter books in his world. They were skeptical that magic existed but had to take into account that Alex had appeared out of nowhere. They decided to wait and see if a teacher by the name of Minerva McGonagall would pay them a visit.

It was a Saturday morning when Professor McGonagall knocked on the door and informed the family that Hermione was a witch. That same evening, Jean and Richard asked for more information about the books their daughter was part of. Instead, Alex gave them a summary of the films, as he'd only read them once, and that was a long time ago. His list went like this, trying to get the chronology right:

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: For much of the first semester, Hermione will have trouble fitting in and will even wish she was back home. After being insulted, she hides in one of the lavatories, where there's a huge troll. She's saved by Harry Potter and the man who makes her cry, Ron Weasley. In one of the corridors (off-limits), the third floor I believe... there's a three-headed dog guarding the Philosopher's Stone (the key to immortality). There will be a series of obstacles to prevent the thief, who is not the potion teacher, but the one who has difficulty speaking. The latter is possessed by the murderer of Harry Potter's parents. Hermione will not be able to continue to the Potions obstacle. Potter will destroy the possessed professor by touching him (supposedly to protect his mother).

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: Students and school staff will be petrified (the Chamber of Secrets, where the giant snake is located, is open again). No idea if Hermione's parents have been warned that their daughter has been petrified for at least two months. Hermione would have discovered the monster that was petrifying people. Finally, one of the students, Ginny Weasley, was possessed (Voldemort/Riddle again) by a book that responds if you write in it. Potter saves the school once again by killing the snake and stabbing Voldemort's soul part.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: Hermione, the studious student we all know, wanted to take all the classes offered, so Professor McGonagall gave her a little necklace that would allows her to attend the class taking place at the same time. Again, no idea if the parents were consulted. In the same year, Harry's godfather, who had been illegally incarcerated (he's innocent) for some 12 years, escapes from prison with the soul-sucking guards. He can turn into a dog. We learn that it was Ron's rat (Peter Pettigros) who sold Potter's parents to Voldemort. Their daughter uses the necklace to rescue Sirius (the godfather) on a hippogriff.

Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire: Three students (from France, Bulgaria, and the UK) will compete in a tournament. Potter will be the fourth against his will, as one of Voldemort's followers will put his name to a resurrection ritual. Hermione will help him to survive the competition. She will be put in the bottom of a lake for the second test, and he will take part in a ball with the champion of the Bulgarian school. Voldemort comes back to life without a nose. I forgot she locked an insect journalist in a jar.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: Their ministry is going to put one of their employees to keep an eye on the principal (they're afraid of a rebellion). She tortures the students and has an obsession with pink and cats. Hermione founds an illegal defense group. She gives the woman who was torturing the students to the centaurs. She breaks into the Ministry to save Potter's godfather (according to a vision he had). She almost dies. Finally, the Ministry, which did not believe in Voldemort's return, witnesses a battle between him and Dumbledore.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: Not much happens on Hermione's side. Malfoy (one of the bullies and supremacists) is assigned the task of assassinating Dumbledoor, but fails, leaving Snape (the potion teacher) to carry out the mission. Harry Potter discovers the existence of objects containing Voldemort's soul.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1 & 2: Hermione erases all memory of her from your minds. She goes Horcrux hunting with Weasley and Potter. She's hungry, she's tired. She will be designated as "Undesirable 22 by the Ministry. She'll be tortured by a woman who clearly has mental problems. They finally win the war. She marries Ron and has children.

After giving this summary, the parents are mouthy. "What you're saying is that we shouldn't send Hermione to that school," Jean says to Alex.

"Hmm not necessarily, I think Hermione should go to Hogwarts. We don't even know if events will turn out exactly the same. However, the decision is yours." replies Alex

"We have time to think before classes start, Jean and I will discuss this further." finally decides Richard
