Oh wow, Hermione was right, the castle is very impressive, Alex thought as he arrived at the school. Professor Aurora Sinistra greeted them and led them to the infirmary. As soon as he saw Hermione, he walked quickly towards her.
"Mia, are you hurt? What happened princess?" asks Alex, inspecting if she's hurt.
"ALEX! It was... It was... a... a troll." tries to say Hermione, but the fact that her big brother was, she falls into a sob.
"Oh, princess... That's it, let your tears, your emotions out. Everything will be all right Mia, I'll do everything I can to keep you safe." replied Alex, and "If need be I will burn the world" he whispered, careful that no one hears him.
Hermione continued to cry until she fell asleep from exhaustion. He got up from the bed on which he had been sitting and went straight to ask for answers to his questions. He is joined by Lord and Lady Greengrass, Mr. and Ms. Weasley. The headmaster gives no satisfactory answer. While Lady Bones continues her interrogation with the rest of the faculty, she asks Dumbledore to accompany her to the crime scene. Alex takes this opportunity to meet Harry Potter. "Good evening, Mr. Potter, my name is Alexandre Gilbert Beaufort, you can call me Alex. I'm Hermione's brother and I'd really like to get your take on what happened tonight. Unfortunately, Hermione was too distracted to tell me herself." asks the boy with the lightning-bolt scar gently.
"Hmm. Good evening... Mr. Alex... this afternoon, Ron said something not nice to Hermione and I think she hid in the third corridor toilet. During dinner, Professor Quirrell shouted that there was a troll in the dungeons and the teachers ordered us to go to our houses. I knew Hermione wasn't with us, so I asked Lavender if she knew where she was. When she replied that she was crying in a bathroom, I separated from the group to go and warn her of the danger. Ron followed me." Harry begins
"Okay and then, Harry what happened?" asks Alex.
"I met Susan and Daphne who were on their way to get Hermione, they knew exactly where she was. I followed them, when we got there the troll had already arrived and Hermione was frozen. I shouted at the troll to draw attention to myself. After several minutes, we were finally able to render him unconscious and the teachers are right after" continues Harry.
"That's quite a story, Harry, you were very brave to go and rescue my sister, but next time it would be safer to warn an adult of the situation before you go into danger," says Alex with a smile.
"On a slightly more serious note, Harry, I'd like to ask you a few personal questions. I'm an intervener in the non-magical world to help people in precarious and/or violent environments. You're under no obligation to answer my questions, but I've noticed a few signs I've seen before that worry me."
"I'm not supposed to talk about that," Harry said shyly with a little fear in his eyes.
"Harry, no pressure. I might be able to help you if I know more about your situation" said Alex.
"O...kay, a few questions," said Harry finally.
"My first question is, are you okay? What's your favorite color? At home, where do you feel safe? ..." asks Alex.
After a series of questions, Alex had enough information to see that Harry's abuse was much more serious than in the books. He promises Harry that he'll do everything he can to give him a life in a better environment and that he's even willing to take him under his guardianship. Harry smiled when he heard this. Alexander decided to speak with the school nurse. "Hello, Madam Pomfrey, I'd like to ask you if you could do an in-depth examination of Mr. Harry Potter as well as contact a doctor in St. Mungos," he asks.
"I'll do it, but I'd like to know why?" she asks
"Of course, and thank you. I believe he is a victim of physical and mental abuse," explains Alexandre
"Abuse! During the last few visits, I've never seen any signs of abuse" she says indignantly that she would have missed it.
While the nurse began her thorough examination of Harry, Alex waited for the doctor to arrive. As the doctor arrived, he heard Madame Pomfrey gasp. He quickly explained the situation to the doctor, who served as a second medical witness to the signs of abuse.
