When Rebekah woke up after her brother finally removed the dagger, she was pissed. She wanted nothing more than to go find the little bitch who had literally stabbed her in the back and kill her, painfully. Then Nik told her that Elena Gilbert descended from either him or Elijah.
At first, Rebekah didn't believe him. She thought it was ridiculous that this human could possibly be related to them. Then she remembered that Nik and Elijah were always chasing after the original woman with Elena's face, Tatia. It was quite feasible that one of them knocked her up. Nik mentioned that he'd seen some sort of proof that it was true.
All that meant that Rebeka couldn't kill Elena. No matter how angry she was, she would not harm a family member. Well, not irreversibly anyway. She also wouldn't allow anyone else to harm her, which was why she was currently searching for Stefan Salvatore. Nik intended to bleed him dry of the vervain and then compel him to give up Elena's and their siblings' locations. Then he'd probably kill him. It was a pity. Rebekah cared for Stefan. She'd even loved him, but no one harmed a member of their family.
It didn't take Rebekah long to find Stefan. He was at the Grill at the bar. She immediately went over to him, but addressed the bartender. "Give me a shot of Tequila."
Stefan turned to her in surprise.
"I'll need to see some ID," the bartender told Rebekah.
Rebekah glared and made sure to look the girl directly in the eye. "You're going to give me a bloody shot of Tequila!"
"Of course," she said after a moment.
"Congratulations. You found one of the few people not on vervain," Stefan said.
Rebekah only shrugged as she sat next to him.
"So, they finally undaggered you, I see. Let me guess, you're hear to seduce me into revealing Elena's location," Stefan said.
"Well, that was certainly the plan for Nik. Unfortunately for him, I don't care what happens to Elena. The bitch put a dagger through my heart. I'd soon kill her myself," Rebekah said before taking the shot as the bartender handed it to her and drinking it in a single gulp. "Another."
"Even though she's your family?" Stefan asked.
Rebekah laughed before drinking yet another shot. "Family? Why? Because Nik and Elijah couldn't keep it in their pants a thousand years ago? That hardly makes her family."
"What about your siblings? Don't you want to save them from me?" Stefan asked in a mocking tone.
"What have they ever done for me, other than letting Nik dagger me over and over?" she asked.
"So then you're here to offer your help in taking down your brother, if only I'll tell you were Elena and the coffins are," Stefan said, not trusting her for a minute.
"What makes you think I came for you at all? I came because I needed a bloody drink. Your ego is almost as big as Nik's. Honestly, I don't care what you do to each other. I don't care if you kill him, or he kills you. Being on your side hasn't done me any favors lately either. Do what you want. I don't want a part of it. Although, I will give you a little advice. Nik will win. He always does. He's overcome enemies much more powerful than a hundred plus-years-old vampire," Rebecca said before getting up and heading towards the door. She knew Stefan was going to follow her, and if by chance he didn't, she'd be waiting for him when he left.
Stefan did get up and follow her. "Maybe no one's been quite so determined before or had the right leverage. With Elena in the picture, he has a vulnerability."
Rebekah laughed as she kept walking. She led him out to the woods. "And you have the same one. You're not going to hurt that girl. He knows that. He will find her eventually, and then he'll kill you on mere principle."
"I will do whatever it takes, even if it means hurting Elena," Stefan said.
"I imagine your already have, not physically, but definitely emotionally. Unfortunately for you, that's already too much," Rebecca said before stopping and grabbing him by the throat.
Stefan began to choke as his air supply was cut off. He tried to pry her hand off of him, but she was much stronger than him.
"I'm sure you realize it by now, but I lied before. I care very much about the fact that Elena is my family, just as I care about my siblings. No one hurts a member of my family! However, I'm not here to seduce you or sweet talk you. There are much simpler ways to get what I want," Rebekah said before bringing her other hand forward and snapping his neck.

Damon was drinking a glass of bourbon as they all waited for Rebekah. He still didn't like this plan. He resigned himself to the fact that they had no choice, but he didn't like having to torture his brother. Sure, he'd gone out of his way to make Stefan suffer in the past, but that was mainly mental. He'd never watched his brother be tortured before.
Damon soon heard a door. He assumed it was Rebekah, but it wasn't her that entered the living room a few moments later. It was Jeremy. "What are you doing here, Jeremy?"
"I'm looking for Elena. She hasn't been home since yesterday, and given that you don't look worried after me saying that, I'm guessing you know where she is," Jeremy said.
"Oh, I am worried, Jeremy. I've just had longer to worry about it than you have," Damon said.
Bonnie and Caroline entered the room a minute later. "Jeremy, what are you doing here?" Bonnie asked.
"What are you doing here?" Jeremy countered. "If you two are here, something is going on, and I'm guessing it has something to do with why I can't find my sister. Alaric and I have been searching around town for most of the day. Where is she?"
"We don't know. She was kidnapped," Caroline said.
Jeremy wasn't as upset as he probably should've been, probably because he already suspected it. "Klaus?"
Klaus laughed as he entered the room. "Everyone always assumes it's me. No, that would be your friend, Stefan."
"What? Why would he do that?" Jeremy asked. He knew Stefan had turned into a dick since his humanity was shut off, but what purpose would he have to kidnap Elena?
"Because it turns out that your sister is a part of my family. Stefan is attempting to use her to get to me. It will be his last mistake," Klaus said.
Damon cringed at Klaus' words. He knew that was a death threat, and he already worried that Klaus might try to kill Stefan. That he wasn't going to allow to happen. He would let Klaus bleed him out for Elena's sake, but no one was going to kill his brother. Bonnie had already agreed to do all she could to stop that, but he feared she wouldn't be able to.
Jeremy shook his head. "That's not true. Elena's not related to you."
"Uh, she is, Jeremy," Bonnie told him. "Elena found out a while ago. On her mother's side, she descends from Klaus' family."
Jeremy was more than a little shocked. Elena had told him about her biological mother and her family, but she never mentioned that Klaus was related to her. Why wouldn't she tell him that? Well, he supposed that she wasn't exactly proud of the fact.
They all heard the front door open and close again. A few seconds later, Rebekah appeared carrying Stefan over her shoulder. "That was almost ridiculously easy. Where do you want him?"
"The basement," Damon said before leading the way. The others followed close behind him.

Elena found herself standing over Elijah's body once more, this time ready to remove the dagger. She hadn't done it right away after Stefan left because she was hoping it wouldn't be necessary. She'd hoped someone would find her before she risking being forced to wake up a starving vampire. But she wasn't willing to just keep waiting for someone to show up. She was not going to be a victim any longer, even if it meant risking her life.
Elena took a deep breath before quickly pulling the dagger from Elijah's body. She wasted no time. She cut her wrist and started squeezing her blood into a water bottle. Of course, it wasn't as easy as she imagined. There was blood everywhere, but she was getting a lot of blood in the bottle. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before she became woozy. She was losing blood pretty quickly.
As soon as she had enough blood, she poured just a tiny bit into Elijah's mouth in case he wouldn't be able to wake up without and then placed the rest next him in the coffin. Then she staggered to the other side of the room.
Elena sat on the floor and grabbed the napkins that had come with her takeout and put pressure on her wound. She'd cut too deep. She was losing a lot of blood fast. She could only hope that Elijah awoke soon and could heal her. That, and that he wouldn't be so bloodthirsty that he'd accidently kill her.
Elena must have lost consciousness at some point because the next thing she knew, she was coming to, to the sound of a loud gasp.
Elijah abruptly sat up in his coffin. He was so hungry, and he could smell blood. He found a bottle next to him that was filled with blood. He immediately opened it and drank the entire thing in a few seconds. He could still smell blood though, a lot of it.
"Elijah," Elena called out in a quite voice. She didn't have much strength at the moment. She was losing blood quickly.
Elijah looked over and saw Elena huddled in a corner. He immediately climbed out of the coffin. "Elena?"
"If you've gotten yourself under control, I could use your help," Elena said. The last thing that registered to her before she lost consciousness was Elijah rushing towards her.
