Magica's Castle: Outside

Near the mountains where the castle resides, Selene was in the center of a forest she made, tending to the garden she built. The garden along with the forest was created by the Goddess 15 years ago, made via her passion, full of the things she loves. Roses were the only flowers in the area along with fruits common and rare growing. Butterflies of all colors flew around the garden, and a waterfall was built close to the garden to keep the plants hydrated.

Selene was in front of some of her roses, giving them water through her endless watering canteen, humming. "Ah, There." She smiled, looking at them before a grasshopper landed on her shoulder. This caught Selene's attention as she looked at her shoulder. "Aww, here you go little one." She let the grasshopper jump to her finger as she led it to one of the roses, which he hopped on. It made her giggle seeing the little guy eat a petal.

Happy from this, Selene resumed watering her roses and the plants producing fruits, humming. Suddenly she felt a tug at the bottom of her blue greek dress. Having felt this, she looked down and saw her daughter Webby, making her smile. "Webby." Selene turned to face her duckling before getting on her knees to reach her height. "What is it, sweetie?" She asked, to which Webby tells her in an optimistic tone. "I wanted to know what you were doing mommy." Selene let out a little joyful laugh at Webby's answer and kisses her gently on the left cheek before holding the cheeks of her face with care.

"Just watering the plants is all." Webby giggled after the response as like her mother, she began to hold her cheeks too, rubbing them lightly. Selene abruptly felt something and looks into the yellow eyes of Webby. "Something feels...Different about Webby." Thought Selene, though she wasn't sure what it was. Looking at her daughter, nothing seemed to have changed.

Webby's height remained the same, she was still as white as snow itself, and the magic radiating from her aura feels the same. Whatever it is, the Goddess can't put her finger on it...Not yet anyway. Selene let go of her duckling and stood back up. "Where's your mom?" She asked with curiosity while heading over to her plants, watering them with the special watering canteen. Webby joined her, using her magic to float up and sit on the back of her neck carefully.

"She's in town getting groceries with Goldie." Answered Webby, to which Selene tells her happily. "That's nice." Though Magica can handle groceries alone, Goldie deciding to tag along is pleasant to hear. Putting down the canteen, Selene walked out of the garden, looking back at Webby. "Say...How about we practice some magic? I could show you some of mine." Hearing her suggestion, Webby gasped.

"Oh my gosh yes, mommy!" Webby answered excitedly. "I always wanted to learn more of your magic, like mom Magica!" Seeing her eager to practice with her, Selene's smile returned. "Great! Let's begin." The Goddess held onto her daughter, keeping her balanced on the back of her neck to avoid falling off. "But first, let's just get away from the garden and the castle." Selene began walking away, getting a nod from Webby as she held onto her.

Minutes Later

Out in a large area, Selene looked around, making sure that she and her daughter were far away from both the garden and the castle itself. "Looks like we're far enough." Thought the Goddess, glad to see neither of the two was near as she lifted Webby up from the back of her neck and places her on the ground, facing each other. "We can start mommy?" Webby asked, wondering if they were far enough to begin.

"Mm-hm." Selene hummed with a nod as both she and her duckling began to get into fighting position and a good distance away from each other. This is to help start Webbty's training to make her become more in touch with her powers. The two remained quiet for a moment, their hands beginning to glow blue or purple with the magic they control. Then in a split second, the two made their move.

Webby fired a purple orb of magic at Selene, who evaded the attack, leaping to the left. Using her Lunar Energy from the moon above, the Goddess fired a laser at her daughter. With quick thinking Webby jumped up, making herself float as the blue beam hit the ground near where she once stood. Despite the dodge, Webby was knocked back by the ray's shockwave, making her spin in the air until she caught her balance. "I'm ok!" She announced to her mother before moving fast out of the way of more yet smaller blasts from her mother's Lunar powers by an inch.

Seeing an opening Webby flew toward her mother within a second. Using her magic to increase her agility, she began throwing quick punches, which Selene easily dodged with a smile. As expected, she's holding back as this was only training for her daughter, showing no worry as she can withstand her attacks. Even only using her defense, speed, and a weaker style of Menekinesis to help Webby use her abilities.

After dodging one more punch Selene jumps far from Webby and used the energy from the moon to create a small blue orb and fire it at her. Quickly the duckling thought to herself of what her mom, Magica had told her before. "Stone in a storm..." Focusing and standing her ground, Webby closed her eyes and formed a shield, reflecting the orb back to the Goddess. It hit her and like before with her fiance, it vanished with little to no harm.

Unfortunately, Webby made her shield dwindle into nothing, having become exhausted again, but luckily not as much as last time. Seeing another blue orb coming at her from Selene, Webby acted quickly and jumped over it with her levitating ability. In the air, Webby felt as though the next thing she creates will leave her unable to continue. While the shield had helped her again, it had also drained her of most of her magic.

Looking down she noticed her mom preparing another projectile. In a slight panic, Webby closed her eyes and raised her hands in the air to try and make something from her magic. However, that didn't happen. Just as Selene was about to throw, she stopped, noticing the moon behind and above Webby began to illuminate. At the same time, the duckling opened one eye and noticed a blue hue above her.

"Huh?" Glancing up Webby noticed that her hands were glowing blue, including the moon itself. Immediately, the spherical satellite in the sky emitted an inefficient ray toward Selene who was left in shock from this. Shaking it off, she quickly blocked the attack easily until it faded away. While her daughter floated gently down to the ground and looked at her little hands in shock, Selene thought to herself. "It...It can't be." Just then both Webby and the Goddess heard a gasp.

Looking to where they heard it, they saw Magica, having finished grocery shopping, confirmed by the bags on her shoulder. She was looking at Webby with a similar shocked expression. "How is...I don't...That shouldn't be possible." She summoned her book of spells and began looking through it. "I've never heard or seen that spell anywhere."

While she was looking through the book, Selene slowly started smiling, giving a nervous chuckle. "Uh...Magica, about that...I know where she got that spell from." The Sorceress looked at her with confusion. "What are you talking about?" She closed the book and used her magic to put it away as she walked over to the Goddess, whose nervous smile remained. Selene looked over at Webby who appeared to want answers too, showing a similar confused expression, causing the Goddess to sigh.

"I'll explain." Selene then held her hand up, using her powers to get Webby, who she soon held in her arms. "Come." She requested Magica who followed her. It wasn't long before they reached a bench that looked polished recently. Sitting down on it, Webby sat on Selene's lap while Magica sat beside her.

"Do you remember our first time together?" Selene asked, getting a raised brow from Magica. "First time?" Thinking for a moment about what the Goddess had said, she began realizing what she meant by their first time. "Oh...Back when we were on the beach at Ithaquack?" Selene nodded to Magica before telling her. "When we were finishing, I directed some of my essences, my DNA, to Webby while she was still developing in your womb."

This left Magica in shock after hearing this, looking at both Selene and her daughter with the said expression. The Goddess expressed concern on her face, thinking she may have somehow angered the Sorceress with this reveal. But to her surprise, Magica began to smile. "Then that means Webby's not only a Sorcerer but also Goddess as well." She expressed excitement learning that her daughter has powers from both her and Selene.

"You're not mad?" Selene returned a smile as Magica chuckled and answered. "Of course not." She holds the Goddess' cheek, rubbing it with care. "I'm actually delighted to hear she shares your DNA and mine." Upon finishing, Magica kissed Selene on the lips of her beak, whose cheeks began to redden as she kissed her back. Webby who witnessed this giggled and got in between them, causing the two to kiss her on both sides of her face on the cheeks. Realizing this, they were left stunned but then started to laugh. It lasted a good couple of seconds until a thought came to Selene's mind.

"Hey, Magica?" Hearing her name from Selene, Magica looked at her. "What is it?" She asked, now holding Webby who she let hold her staff. Looking at it the duckling aimed it at a patch of grass and fired at it, turning it all into a nice bouquet of flowers. At the same time, Selene asks Magica. "Are you comfortable...For us? Getting married I mean." She clarified and resumes. "I know it isn't your thing, but I just...Feel you're not up to it." Selene then suggests. "If you want we could-" Magica cuts her off by holding her cheek again, causing them to look at each other.

"Selene, I'm up to it. Whether I show it or not, I want the wedding to still happen." Hearing this made Selene smile as Magica tells her. "I want to marry you in front of our village with our friends and your family side of the family there. For us...And for Webby." They looked at their daughter who had fired at a dead tree near the beach, turning it into a coconut tree. Looking back at Magica, Selene brings her into a hug. Just as the Sorceress turned to look at her she was surprised with a kiss by the Goddess, returning a kiss back. Seconds after departing Selene tells her fiance. "I love you, Magica."

"Love you too, Selene."

While they enjoyed their time together with Webby, neither of them realized that Goldie was watching them from a balcony of the castle. She happened to have seen them just after dropping off the groceries she had in the kitchen. With a pleased sigh at the sight, Goldie thought to herself. "What a lovely family." After watching them, she looked down at her injured leg, still holding her crutches. With a hum of curiosity, she sat down in one of the balcony chairs that Selene and Magica made.

Putting her crutches aside, Goldie carefully unwrapped her leg, wanting to see how far it has healed since the last it was uncovered. Once the bandage wrap was off, she kept her leg out and examined it to see how much of it had healed. "It doesn't look that bad...But it still hurts whenever weight's put on it." She lightly plants her foot on the floor and flinched a little, lifting it back up. "Ow."

"That's because you need to let it heal more before standing on it." Hearing that scared Goldie, having not seen or heard anyone enter. She quickly turned, about to use one of her crutches as a weapon, only to calm down when she saw it was Asa. "W-Where did you come from? And what are you doing here?" Goldie asked as Asa got close and placed his bag down before taking a look at her leg. "Your daily check-up. Magica told me to check on your leg to make sure it's healing." Hearing this made O'Gilt roll her eyes.

"Right...But I'm not paying you." This earned Goldie a chuckle from Asa. "I know and no worries, Magica paid me anyway." He soon took out a pill from his bag and hands it to Goldie, who looked at it. "Oh, how much did she pay you?" She asked, putting the pill in her mouth and is then handed a cup of water by Asa who stood up, looking nervous.

"Well, she said not to tell you so uh...See you tomorrow." Quickly Asa ran out of the castle, worried Goldie might steal from him again, making her sigh. "Great...Can't steal with my leg still like this." She thought before drinking the water to wash down the medicine. Looking from the balcony she saw Magica, Selene, and Webby playing with a frisbee now. They were using their magic, agility, and stamina to sprint, jump, fly, and catch the disk, making it enjoyable to play.

With a smile and a happy sigh, Goldie questioned herself. "Will I ever have a family like that of my own someday?" She hoped to herself she will, but not now. With a yawn, O'Gilt grabbed her crutches, speaking her thoughts. "I should get to bed I feel...Sleepy...Probably a side-effect of that pill." Standing up, she makes her way back inside back to the bedroom.

Meanwhile

At the edge of a city far from Magica's Village, there's an old wooden abandoned house that lies in disrepair. The paint that was once green has become filthy and peeled to reveal rotten planks underneath. Some of the tiles on the roof had fallen apart, leaving gaps exposed for nature and animals to enter. Metal from the railings and bolts had rusted and are on the brink of crumbling. Windows were shattered with broken glass on the inside and outside. Through some of the broken windows, mold can be seen forming on some parts of the walls, along with some moss due to the humidity. And while the floorboards are intact, they creak under any weight, weakened by water.

Inside the abandoned house, a middle-aged male duck inhabits the building. He was wearing a cloak that covered both his body and his face, presently hiding his identity. He was in the living room, holding a glass flask that contained a red liquid, pouring it into a cauldron in the center of the room. Suddenly a red smoke came out of the cauldron, forming a skull that soon vanished.

"At last...It's done." With a smirk, the duck took out some wooden arrows he crafted himself and dropped them into the large pot. He watched as the arrows that sunk, floated back up, now a crimson red and glowing, having soaked up the liquid. Putting on some gloves, he reached in and took out the arrows with a grin, placing them into his quiver. "I can finally have my revenge!" He then turned to face an authentic sketched photo of Magica De Spell hanging on the wall.

"You're going to pay for what you had done 20 years ago...You took everything from me and now that I have what I need...I'll Kill YOU!" He reached into his pocket and tossed a knife at the photo, piercing right between the eyes of the sketch, causing it to split into two. Yanking the knife out of the wall the duck placed it back in his pocket, grabbed his bow, and exited the house, going to kill the Sorceress.

A Few Days Later

In the guest bedroom, Goldie was packing up her belongings into a large satchel, ready to go on her adventures for treasure again. Her leg has fully healed up, allowing her to leave this lovely place...Well yes, she loves it here. She loves Magica, Selene, and Webby, they took care of her, and treated her like a part of the family, despite past actions. But something was bugging her thoughts. Magica had said that she wanted to make love to her in a few days, but that hasn't happened.

Truthfully, it was strange to Goldie. She waited each day for Magica to tell her, but nothing. Only just a couple of rubs to her legs from the Sorceress along with her...Lower region. Immediately Goldie shook it off, deciding to ask Magica about it before leaving soon. Rolling up the maps she had gained long ago, O'Gilt placed them into her leather bag which she placed over her shoulder. Reaching for her boots she put them on, stood up, and walked out of the room.

Heading downstairs, Goldie went toward the throne room. Entering, she saw Magica, Selene, and Webby together, with the latter on the former's shoulders. The three were reading a spell book together until they noticed Goldie and smiled. "Goldie!" Selene greeted her as she approached her. "Are you sure you don't want to stay a bit more?" Getting on one knee she kisses O'Gilt on the beak, shocking her as she kissed back. Pulling away she looks at the Goddess.

"Sorry, I wish I could stick around longer, but I can't." Shaking her head, Goldie explains to them. "I have to continue my hunt for treasure before Scrooge beats me to it." Selene nodded to her, understanding how important this is. The Goddess then took out a bag and hands it to Goldie. "You're going to need this if you want to beat him first."

Curious, Goldie looks into the bag and is surprised to see that it's full of gold coins and nuggets. Confused she looked up at Selene who told her. "Just so you can get anything you want on the journey." The Goddess kisses Goldie's head, earning a smile from her. "Thanks." She put the bag of gold away in the satchel.

As she did, Magica hands Webby over to Selene with care before going toward Goldie next. Getting on her knees, the Sorceress kisses her on the beak, getting a kiss back from O'Gilt. Departing from their kiss, Goldie looked into Magica's yellow eyes. "Thanks for letting me stay with you." She then added. "By the way...I thought you were going to make love to me." A blush appeared on Goldie's face feeling a bit embarrassed, continuing. "I-I don't have a problem, just...Curious if we're going to do it."

A chuckle escaped Magica's lips as she leaned in, making their foreheads touch, much to the confusion of Goldie. "What are-" She was cut off by the Sorceress who had brought her back into another kiss, this one being much more passionate than the former. O'Gilt began to kiss her back, their tongues rolling around in each other's beaks. This lasted for what felt like a minute until they pulled away, looking at each other.

"I was going to...But I had second thoughts." Answered Magica, leaving Goldie a bit concerned until the Sorceress assured her. "I want to wait for a little while until I truly am ready...Plus there could be some treasure out there that might interest you the most." Hearing that was enough for Goldie to realize what she said about her hobby is true. There is some treasure out there that catches her eye the most. This also reminded her this was exactly what she was going to do before Magica and Selene offered to heal her damaged leg.

Even though everything from then to now would've felt like a waste of time to Goldie, it doesn't this time. Because of her injury and her choice of entering this castle, she now has the closest thing to a family. A family that money nor treasure can give her. "Well...You're right about the treasure." Goldie looks at Magica. "But are you sure you want to wait? I kinda have much time to spare." Magica rubbed Goldie's blonde hair, nodding. "I'm sure. Now go on now and hunt for treasure. We'll wait for you." Once she finished, O'Gilt returned a nod before happily hugging the Sorceress, who returned the hug. At the same time, Selene and Webby joined in a group hug.

Later

Near the edge of the Village Magica, Selene, and Webby watched Goldie walk far from the village. She waved to them before continuing with her journey. When she was gone, the duckling looked at her parents. "Is Goldie coming back?" Her question got their attention. Selene got on her knees and kisses Webby on the head. "Don't worry sweetie, Goldie's just going out to hunt some treasure! She'll be back soon." Selene then happily tickles her daughter, making Webby giggle in an adorable way. Seeing this, Magica couldn't help but smile, delighted to see her lover and daughter so happy.

Later That Day

Somewhere in the village, Asa was sitting in a booth at a bar after having helped a client with their illness and such. He comes here after work hours to take a load off, relax, and enjoy a refreshing beverage. Taking a shot, Asa let out a sigh. "That's the stuff." He smiled, letting go of the now-empty shot glass before taking out his medical book to read.

Asa likes to mostly read in the bar. He doesn't really drink that much since he's not that much of a drinker. Just as he finished a couple of paragraphs, he heard what sounded like glass shattering on impact, making him flinch. This grabbed Asa's attention as he looks over in the direction of the noise. Immediately he spots the one responsible whose hand rested above the shards of glass of a mug.

It was a duck who was tall with enough muscles to be mistaken as a qualified bouncer. He looked slightly old, judging by the bits of gray hair visible on his beard. And his attire is that of slightly withered beige pants and a T-shirt, visible from the opening in front of his cloak with a quiver on his back. From what Asa could tell, the duck was speaking to one of the customers that were sitting next to him, doing his best not to pay attention.

"And that's how I'll get my revenge against that Sorceress!" The brawny duck pointed at the customer before grabbing another mug that he had ordered. After chugging it down and giving an indignant exhale, he exclaimed loud enough for everyone to hear. "That g-green grim bruja will pay for everything, paaay for what she's done to me-ME!" He threw his empty mug against the wall, shattering it in the process. Having enough of this outburst, the owner of the bar approached him with disapproval.

"Alright, that's enough for tonight, sir. I'm going to have to ask you to l-" Before the bar owner could finish, the burly duck punched him in the face, blurting at him. "My naaame is Calum! Annnd I'll leave when I feel like it!" Hearing the duck, known as Calum, Asa noticed there were a couple of slurs in his voice. This implied to him that Calum is drunk and had probably been here hours before he arrived.

Soon after Calum finished, some of the bouncers that guard the bar, ran towards him and tackled him. "Let mee go!" Calum demanded from the guards, who were using all of their strength to seize him. He managed to land a hit on some of them, even some of the patrons while receiving some in return before being held by the arms. As they bring him to the exit, he shouts drunkenly. "I'll show yoou-I'll show all of YOU! Noobody takes my life away and gets away with it! I'll poison her, leave her garroted, gutted, and gashed everywhere, all untiilll she's unrecognizable! She'll be dead before any of you even know it!"

This was leaving Asa very concerned for his friend as he knows well that Calum is talking about Magica. There's nobody else in the village that fits that description. And hearing Calum was gonna go and kill Magica in the worst way possible, Asa knew he had to do something about it before it was too late.

Putting his stuff away, Asa begins to head to the exit, all the while keeping his presence hidden from Calum. Outside he watched the bigger duck, who was on the ground after being tossed, sit up from the ground, coughing up some blood. He wipes away the blood left on his beak and looked at the blood on his hand. "It doesn't matter..." Calum shook his head, squeezing his hand into a fist. "Once...Once I get to that castle, I'll finish her. Bring justice to those that she had robbed of a life, in...I-Including..."

Calum couldn't finish what he was trying to say, not because of his intoxication but because it just hurts to say it. Shaking it off, he picks one of his magical arrows that had fallen out of his leather quiver. Checking it and seeing it was fine, he placed it back in the quiver and walked off into the night in the direction of the castle. At the same time, Calum was oblivious to Asa, unaware that he was following him.

The village doctor made sure to stay a safe distance away from Calum as Asa thought himself. "I better follow him. If he's going to harm Magica, my friend, I need to stop it from happening." With that he continued to follow Calum, taking cover behind whatever he can hide behind as he followed.

Meanwhile

Inside the bedroom of Magica and Selene, the latter was putting her daughter in bed for the night. She planted a kiss on her head and smiled. "It's getting late." She pointed out to her duckling. "Time for you to get some sleep, honey." Just as the Goddess was about to bring up the blanket, Webby spoke. "Mommy?"

"Yes, sweetie?" Selene held her daughter's cheek in one hand while holding the blanket in the other, sitting on the one side of the bed next to her. "Why do mom and you always make strange noises whenever you're in the bathroom?" Webby's curious question almost caught the Goddess off guard. "O-Oh um..." Selene began to blush heavily in embarrassment, letting out a chuckle. "Well, y-you see, your mom and I are...Battling some horrible sewer monsters!" She gave a nod with a wide smile. "Yes! They tried coming through the drains to try and breach our home."

"Sewer monsters in the bathroom?!" Webby looked at the bathroom, expressing fear, which made Selene gasp at the realization. "Oh no, no, no, no, no, it's ok Webby." Selene began as she assures her daughter. "The sewer monsters are no longer there, your mom and I destroyed them all! So don't worry, ok?" Webby sighed in relief hearing this and nods with a nervous smile. She then jumped and wrapped her hands around the Goddess' neck, hugging her.

"Thank you, mommy! I love you." Webby snuggled her head under Selene's beak, who looked down at her and hugged her back, having some tears leave her eyes. "I love you too...My young duck." As the two hugged, they were unaware of another presence. Magica was at the doorway watching them, making her smile at the sight. Deciding to let them savior their moment, she went downstairs to the living room.

Soon after pulling away from their hug, Webby let out an adorable yawn, earning a giggle from her mommy. "Now to bed my little duck." Selene lays her daughter on their bed, covering her below the neck with the blanket. Soon the duckling fell asleep, to which the Goddess kisses her on the head before rubbing her hair gently. "Goodnight Webby." After this, Selene stood up from the bed carefully and walked out of the room quietly.

Closing the door behind her in silence, Selene sighed happily and thought to herself. "She's way too young to know about...Sex...But I know she's 15 years old, and due to aging slowly she still looks like she's 5 years old. We must wait at least 30 to 50 years for that kind of talk." After finishing that thought, she ran down to the main floor at full speed. Selene only stopped once she got to the living room, having spotted Magica sitting on the leather couch, watching TV. Noticing the Goddess, the Sorceress smiled at her.

"Is she sleeping?" Selene nodded to Magica's question and walks over to her. She then sits on her lap and snuggles into her arms, telling her happily. "Yes, and she's so cute!" Selene looks up at Magica and tells her. "She's our little girl." The Sorceress chuckled at this and kisses her on the head. "I know, I'm happy about it too...Now..." She picks up the remote that was next to her. "Let's enjoy our TV time together." After finishing, Magica changes the channel to one only meant for them.

Seeing that she had changed it to the adult channel, Selene began to blush heavily from this. "Oh my, Magica...So naughty!" The Goddess giggled in a cute way from this, earning a chuckle from Magica, knowing that she was gonna react like that. Soon the Sorceress began to hold Selene closely in her arms as they watched their adult show together.

Meanwhile

After walking through the village, Calum soon stopped at the front of the stairs that lead up the mountain to Magica's castle. Looking up he gave a glare. "I'm coming for you...Damn, Sorceress." Anger was present in his tone as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a gray gem attached to a necklace. He put it on his neck, clicking it on as it made him vanish, revealing the necklace's power.

Calum created this necklace to help him block any spell Magica uses against him, it even prevents her from sensing him too. After checking to see if he was invisible, Calum chuckled and began to get into the castle. Making up to the entrance he tip-toed past the Shadow Puppet Guards before reaching the doors. At the same time, he didn't realize that Asa had seen the whole thing.

"He vanished? How!?" Asa thought in shock as he witnesses the front door suddenly open with ease. "He's invisible!" Gasped the doctor before running after Calum. To his luck, the Shadow Puppet moved out of the way for him since he's a family member and friend to Magica. Quickly Asa managed to go through before the doors completely closed shut, leaving him undetected by the big invisible duck.

Meanwhile

In the hallway of the castle, Calum was currently down the hallway, avoiding more Shadow Puppet guards. Said guards were walking by, welding Spears or Axes to protect Magica and her family. Making it to the Throne Room, Calum stopped and began to surveillance the room. To his surprise, the room was different, there was no remanence of blood on the walls or floor. No broken bones lie on the stone-cold ground. And no signs of villagers that've been turned into animals.

Instead, there was just gold and clean furniture all over the room, but what caught Calum's eyes was that of a large photo. It hung on the wall right above the Throne chairs. The photo displays Magica, holding the Goddess, Selene, in her arms along with Webby, all three of them were happy and together as a family.

"Selene? No-no-no-NO-NOO..." Calum dropped to his knees, slamming his fist onto the solid ground, expressing a mixture of shock and anger. "It's true...You're...You're with Magica!? Why...Why!?" A couple of tears left Calum's eyes as he looked around the Throne Room again. He started to have visions of the past, seeing Magica back when she was cruel and her brother Poe at their Throne chairs. With his mind focused on this vision he watched as she laughed maliciously and fired magic at both his wife and children.

Calum reached out toward his wife and kids only to snap out of the vision, seeing only the chairs and treasure behind it. This made him lower his head and sob a little. His wife...His children...They deserved better than what they had received from De Spell. Wiping away the tears Calum stood up and reached for his back, getting a hold of a magic arrow from his quiver. With his other hand, he grabbed his crossbow from his side.

"This ends today." Thought Calum as he loads his crossbow until he heard the door from behind open. He looked back, showing no worry since he was invisible. He soon saw it was Selene who walked in, wearing a blue shirt and light-blue leggings, with her hair down loose. "Hmm..." She hummed, looking around the room, mostly the chairs and treasure. The Goddess doesn't seem to see Calum at all, only feeling a light wind pass by her hair.

"Someone there?" Selene questioned, looking where she felt the breeze before taking one last look around the room. Seeing nobody, the Goddess shook it off and gave a smile. "Probably nothing." She thought before turning back to the door. "Everything seems good." With that, she left the room.

Soon after leaving, Selene entered the Kitchen not far from the Throne Room and walks over to a mini-bar she and Magica had installed. She began to examine each of the wine bottles that were put together in a row on a shelf until she spotted the one she was looking for. "There you are." She reached and grabbed a wine bottle she had inspected after seeing it was the right one with satisfaction. It was red like the others, but it was aged for almost half a century, giving it a bit more taste.

"Aged to perfection." Selene smiled at this but looked back at the other bottles before spotting the one that has aged more than the one in her hands. "Hmm...Maybe I should get one of the ones that're a thousand years old." She thought to herself, thinking whether or not she should get the near century or the 10 centuries wine.

Meanwhile

In the dining room, Magica was setting up candles and plates on the dining table, using her staff to get everything on the table in order. She even had a vase of roses set up in the center of the table. At the same time, the Sorceress had also ordered her Shadow Puppets to make a good dinner for both her and Selene. Once that was all out of the way, Magica sat down on her chair and sighed happily.

"I'm so glad to finally have a special dinner with my fiance." Magica smiled, looking up at the ceiling, envisioning how the dinner between her and Selene will go, until she heard the door open. Focusing her sight on the door, she noticed nobody was there, confusing her. "Selene? ...Are you there?" Getting no reply, Magica stood up from her chair and walked over to the door. Looking out into the hallway she saw nobody lingering around. "Hm. We really need to replace the old locks."

Magica looked at the lock on the door she held before closing the door, unaware of the danger behind her. Calum was there, still invisible, aiming his crossbow right at her back in the location of her heart. "This is for my family...You monster..." Calum muttered about to pull the trigger, only to be interrupted by the door being kicked open. Magica was able to get out of the way in the nick of a centimeter, making her gasp before noticing the door kicker was her best friend, Asa.

"Asa?" She raised a brow before looking down at him annoyed. "What are you doing here? You almost hit my face!" Before Asa answered, he looked at her up and down and sighed in relief. "Oh, thank goodness you're ok...Wait, that means I made it!" With that realization, he began looking around the dining room, much of the bewilderment to Magica. "Of course I'm ok. What's going on?" Asa looked at her. "I got no time to explain Magica. You need to get out of here be-"

Suddenly Asa paused, spotting two webbed footprints visible on the floor. Acting on instinct, he pushed Magica out of the way and ran right where the footprints ceased and jump forward. Asa pinned the invisible Calum on the ground and attempted to restrain him, leading to a fight on the floor. Before she could hit the ground Magica made herself float and watched as her friend throw punches, roll, and restrain...Well, something.

"Asa, what's going..." She ceased talking when she saw Asa grab a hold of something and pull it off. The item he grabbed became visible and was revealed to be a necklace of some kind, but that wasn't the only thing visible now. Besides a crossbow and arrows in a quiver, an old duck and his dirty clothes were now seeable. "He's trying to kill you!" Asa shouted while trying to hold the intruder down.

"Kill...Me?" Magica questioned, still confused by this, examining the old duck. "Why would you try to do that?" She asked, both curious and concerned as to why he'd do that. Calum looked up at her and spoke in a mix of bafflement and vexation. "Why would-Do you not recognize me?!"

"Mmm...No?" Magica shook her head, admitting she had no idea who Calum even is. Holding her staff, the Sorceress tapped the bottom of it on the ground, summoning her Shadow Puppets. "But since you're trespassing in my castle and trying to kill me, I'll have my Shadow Puppets take you to the author-" Magica couldn't finish as Calum quickly pushed Asa off of him with his strength and stood up, aiming his crossbow at her. When he fired at her, Asa let out a gasp, being only able to watch the arrow heading straight toward his best friend. But to his and Calum's surprise, Magica caught the arrow with ease in her left hand and looked at it.

"I-Impossible..." Was all Calum could say before being knocked unconscious by Asa, who punched him in the face. Seeing that he was out cold, Asa let out a sigh and glances over at Magica, who was now analyzing the tip of the arrow. "Are you-?" He couldn't finish as Magica winced in pain and dropped the arrow. "Ah!" She held her left palm, seeing the slightly stinging imprint of the arrow burnt into her hand.

This confused Magica as she stares at the crimson arrow on the floor, puzzled by what it did until she noticed it was sparkling. The arrow was laced with magic, but it was no ordinary one put on that projectile. Looking closely she began to see those small sparkles coming off it are a dark green color. Immediately, Magica realized it was no other than poisonous magic. It could've been lethal if it had pierced through her skin.

"Magica?" Hearing her name from Asa, Magica snapped out of it. She was looking at that arrow for too long with her friend still present in the room. Focusing her attention on Calum who remained unconscious, she snapped her fingers, summoning a couple more Shadow Puppets. Seeing them present, she pointed at the giant duck. "Take him away to the throne room, and don't let him escape." On command, the Shadow Puppets surrounded Calum and held him up by his arms, legs, and head.

Picking him up from the floor, they began carrying him off to the throne room. Magica commanded this as she wanted to interrogate Calum and get answers out of him. Both to figure out who he is and his motives as to why he was trying to kill her. Once he was out of the dining room, Asa looked at Magica, specifically her burnt hand from the poisonous arrow.

"Are you ok, Magica?"

This made Magica glance at Asa and then at her hand. To her relief, the mark the arrow left was beginning to vanish due to her hand regenerating from the damage. "I'll live." She answered with a smile, showing assurance to Asa so he would know she was ok. Her friend turned back at the doorway one more time and then back at her. "Do...Do you know who that man was?" Concern was apparent in his tone. Magica shook her head. "I have no clue who he is..." After answering, she looked back at her hand and with a quiet sigh, thought to herself. "Though...He probably was someone I may have met long ago. But my memory of the past is at a minimum."

Meanwhile

In the castle halls, the Shadow Puppets carried Calum to the throne room. As they did, however, the large duck started to stir slightly and wake up from his unconsciousness. "H-Huh...?" When he opened his eyes narrowly, he felt a grip around the end of his limbs along with his head. Looking at his limbs, he saw what he assumed were silhouetted figures, holding them, carrying him down a familiar hall. "W-Wha-" Suddenly Calum shook his head rapidly, waking him fully with his eyes completely open.

"The Hell?!" He exclaimed, realizing those silhouettes carrying him were really those Shadow Puppets Magica summons. It didn't take long for Calum to recall everything that had occurred before he was knocked out. That Sorceress...He was so close to killing her, only to be thwarted by that friend of hers before he could deliver her just desserts. Not only that, Magica had absolutely no clue who he is, not even a look at his face could jog her memory.

Knowing he couldn't continue with the plan anymore, Calum felt the best course of action for him now is to make a break for it. Using up most of his strength, he began to toss, turn and pull his limbs inward to his body. This made the Shadow Puppets stop and attempt to get a hold of him but to no avail. The Shadow Puppet's arms began to wear and tear, as strains and holes began to appear on them.

"Let...Go!" Calum yanked his arms, legs, and head away from the Shadow Puppets, ripping their arms off, and causing him to fall to the floor with a thud. At the same time because of the damage, the Shadow Puppets carrying him became unstable and evaporated into nothingness. Sitting up and believing Magica may have heard him hit the ground, Calum got up from the floor and bolted. He ran straight down the hall, opposite the throne room and toward the exit to make his escape.

Only for the Shadow Puppets to reappear and block the path toward the exit. Seeing this in panic, Calum halted, skidding his webbed feet on the floor slightly. Immediately he ran in a different direction, prompted to look for another way out of the castle. Due to the exit being blocked off now, Calum quickly ran through the nearest door he can go through. Besides the castle entrance, he refused to escape through the throne room. Other than the windows being far from his reach, those Shadow Puppets were taking him there just under a minute ago. He wasn't going to take the chances.

Now in what seems to be the living room, Calum looked around and ran to the windows. He was about to open them, only to see that there was no ground outside, only a cliff. Backing away and in a hurry, Calum looked around the room and soon spotted a door. Wasting no time, he opened it and found out it was stairs leading upward. It left him unsure but he didn't wait and quickly ran up the stairs, hoping it'd lead to a part of the roof he can climb down.

As soon as he reached the top, he found himself disappointed as this only led up to what appeared to be a bedroom. Just before Calum could yell in frustration he noticed a small lump in the bed at the very end of the room. Looking closely and judging by her appearance he was able to tell this was the daughter of Magica and Selene, sleeping peacefully. This immediately brings flashes of memories to Calum when he and his wife were putting their kids in bed, back when things were tranquil. This almost made him shed a tear at the memory before shaking it off.

Calum's expression became stern as he glared at the duckling. He approached her quietly, reaching for a handle sticking out of a small yet narrow pouch attached to his side. This is revealed to be a hunting knife, sharpened to the point as he reaches the side of the bed, raising his knife up and beside his head. "Let's see how you like losing your kin." Calum thought in anger as he moved his arm forward to plunge his weapon into Webby...Fortunately, that didn't happen.

To his confusion, Calum moved his arm again, but it wouldn't budge, being held back by something strong. That something was revealed to be someone as he was picked up and pinned right against a wall in a flash. Looking around, Calum noticed he was back in the throne room rather than the bedroom. Looking at who had him pinned he was surprised to see it was the Moon Goddess herself, Selene. This made him realize she had used her speed to take him out of the bedroom her daughter napped in.

"Don't you dare hurt my daughter!" Selene began with a warning, choking Calum in slight anger after seeing what he was about to do to Webby. For the moment she took a good look at the intruder, glaring before noticing what she wouldn't have expected in his eyes...Sorrow, loss, and hatred. "Why are you here?" Selene questioned, keeping her guard up as she eased her grip on his neck.

Given enough air to breathe and talk, Calum looked at the Goddess. "P-Please, listen to me...Don't trust...Magica!" He uttered, earning a perplexed expression from Selene as he continued. "S-She's the reason I came here! I wanted to kill her." Tears began to roll down his face. "Magica took away my life...Killed m-my wife and children in front of me...Left me alive to suffer..." When he finished, Selene began to show concern for what he accused Magica of. Before she could question him about this, Calum reached for a 2nd knife in his pocket and pulled it out.

"Please, forgive me..." Was all he said before plunging the knife into his heart, making Selene gasp as she dropped Calum and backed away. Lying on the floor and bleeding out, he looked up at the ceiling seeing three figures, two small and one tall, shrouded in light. "K-Kids? Hon...ey...?" He thought, seeing the figure of his wife offer a hand to him. With a weak smile, Calum reached for the hand and he grasped it. Holding it, he collapsed to the floor, having taken his last breath.

Selene stood where she is, looking at the now deceased Calum, reminiscing on what he had said before taking his own life in front of her. Soon enough, Magica and Asa ran into the room, seeing both Calum and Selene. The former ran to the Goddess while the latter went to check on the lifeless.

"Selene? Are you ok?" Magica asked worriedly with her hands on Selene's shoulders, having heard or seen her catch the intruder before making it. Instead of a nod or an answer, Selene pulled away from Magica. "I need some time alone." With that, the Goddess walked out of the throne room. When she was gone, the Sorceress went over to Asa, who was on his knees with his index and middle finger planted on Calum's wrist. Feeling no pulse he turned Calum onto his back, shocking the two.

"H...He's dead...He killed himself." Asa looked at Magica, standing back up on his feet. Still shocked by this, Magica summoned her Shadow Puppets. "Take him away." She commanded pointing at and showing guilt toward the duck she had deprived of a family. As requested, the Shadow Puppets picked up Calum's body and took him out of the room.

"Thanks, Asa...For saving me." Magica looked at her friend who nodded. "I'll tell the authorities what happened. And to help take care of...You know..." The Sorceress only nodded to Asa, understanding what he was talking about. Without saying anything else, she left the throne room to go check on Selene and Webby and see if they were both okay.

A Few Minutes Later

Having entered her room not long after leaving the throne room, Selene picked up her Sphere and began looking into it. Using her powers on the Sphere, she began to see if what she was told is true, which she was about to find out. Looking at the vision becoming visible, the Goddess began to see a slightly less aged Calum with his family. The visions from Selene's Sphere showed her what had happened to them. They were treated poorly, living in poverty like the rest residing in the village, up until they were in the throne room for slight disobedience.

To Selene's horror, she watched as Magica, at the time she was evil, laughed sinisterly as she killed Calum's wife and children. She used her magic and rather than turn them into animals, she vaporized them until they were nothing but ashes. Calum tried intervening but Poe prevented that, using his magic to hold the big duck back and forced him to watch. He fell to his knees in tears when it was too late to save his family.

With a smirk, Magica approached Calum and spoke. "You're useless, just like the rest below, just like your family! But don't worry, soon enough you will join them." Using her magic, the Sorceress picked up Calum and threw him out of the throne room, letting out a burst of insane laughter alongside Poe.

As the vision in her Sphere became clouded, tears began to drip off the said orb before it fell to the ground. Selene was crying from what she had now witnessed, at the same time, rain heavily came down outside from the window. It wasn't long until the door opened, revealing Magica as she entered the room. She spots the Goddess who was facing away from her, standing outside on the balcony being hit by the rain. "Selene? Are you ok?" The Sorceress asked, approaching Selene who was looking at the cloudy sky.

"...Why...?" Selene questioned, confusing Magica who raised a brow. "Why what?" In response, the Goddess raised her hand, causing her Sphere to raise from the floor, catching the Sorceress' attention. Pointing at Magica, the blue orb flew towards her as she caught it. This made her look at the orb before witnessing exactly what Selene had watched, making her gasp. Her memories started to come back to her of who Calum was, what she did to him and his family when she was awful.

"Selene, I-I know what you're thinking...I can ex-" Before Magica could continue, Selene looked at her in tears. "H-How could you do this to him!? To his family?!" She demanded Magica, who tried to reason with her. "I didn't mean to! I wasn't myself at the time an-" The Goddess cut her off again. "None of that doesn't excuse you for what you did! You killed innocent lives! You killed children!" Selene pointed at her Sphere that the Sorceress held.

"I wasn't going to kill them...Poe-"

"That poor man lost his family because of you, Magica! Not your brother!" Sure, Selene knows Poe was the reason Calum couldn't do anything to save his family, but either way, the outcome wouldn't be any different. If Calum had managed to break free and attempted to save his wife and children, Magica would've killed him too, or left him with scars.

Sadness started to amplify within Magica as she looked at the Goddess. "Selene...My mind at the time wasn't all my own! I'm-I'm sorr-" Suddenly Selene slapped her across the face with enough force to leave a red hand mark on her green cheek. Even though she expected this and didn't feel any pain from the smack, Magica still froze up from it. As the hand mark began to fade due to her quick regeneration ability, Magica looked at Selene. "Please Selene, I told you years ago that wasn't me at the-"

"Quiet!" Selene yelled, making Magica shut her beak. Taking a few deep breaths, the Goddess let out a sigh, calming down as she told Magica with her stern tone unchanged. "I...I can't with you...I-I need to go back home." The sternness started to die down as tears began rolling down her face. "I'm going back to Ithaquack." She faced the floor, wiping some of the tears from her eyes as the Sorceress looked at her worriedly before touching her shoulder gently. "Selene..."

"Don't touch me!" Selene requested before walking past her, adding. "I'm going to take Webby with me." Magica could only watch as the Goddess went to the doorway. "B-But-" The Sorceress couldn't finish as Selene slammed the balcony doors shut, hard enough to make Magica flinch, but not enough to shatter the glass. Left alone in the rain Magica looked at the Goddess Sphere to see her antagonistic self.

This made her throw the blue orb away, leaving it to lie on the balcony. After doing this, Magica suddenly felt an agonizing headache coming up, which she recognized. "Rgh-No! Not...Again!" She thought as her sight became slightly blurry and the headache worsened. This prompted Magica into resisting the impulses her villainous self was inflicting onto her mentality in an attempt to take over. After a little while, the pain and blurriness began dying down. With a sigh of relief and calming down from this painful experience, the Sorceress went back inside the castle.

Later

Having entered the throne room, Magica found Selene and Webby getting ready to go to Ithaquack. The Goddess dressed back in her usual attire, her Greek blue dress, with their daughter in her arms. "We're going to Ithaquack for a vacation!?" Webby asked Selene, who nodded with a smile. "Yes!" The duckling cheered before getting a kiss on her head from her mommy.

Just as Selene picked up their luggage with one hand, possessing some of her and Webby's things, the latter noticed Magica. "Wait! Is mom coming?" The daughter asked with a smile, unaware of the glare the Goddess shot the Sorceress with, bringing an immense amount of guilt back to her.

Looking back at Webby, Selene smiled and shook her head. "No sweetie. Your mom won't be able to come with us." The duckling gave her a look that says, "Why?", to the Goddess who noticed and told her. "She's um...Busy being queen! She has to make sure everyone here stays at peace and everything remains in order while we're away." Selene then adds happily. "And don't worry. We'll have lots of fun at Ithaquack. You'll even get to meet and play with your uncle Storkules and Grandpa Zeus!"

Webby gasped with a smile before looking back at her mom, waving. "Bye, mom! We'll be back soon!" Magica couldn't help but smile back and wave to her daughter. She then looked at Selene only to see she was still glaring at her until she and Webby left the throne room. When they were gone and now alone, Magica let out a sigh of dismay and sat down on her throne.

She's disappointed in herself for what she did all those years ago. Even if she had no control over herself at the time, she still should've fought back against her ill intentions. She could've turned the family into animals, she could've just given them a slap on the wrist, she...She could've left them alone, let them live their lives rather than destroy them. But it's too late for that, the damage has already been done, and there's no going back to fix it.

Using her magic, Magica summoned a bottle of whiskey from the mini-bar and opens it, taking a big sip from it until it was half-empty. Sitting up from her throne the Sorceress turned to look at the windows from behind. She did this just in time to see Selene on top of Pegasus with Webby in her arms as they fly away to Ithaquack. This made Magica let out another sad sigh before finishing off the whiskey bottle, prompting her to summon another.
