With the end of the Rating Game, I wanted to get back to my compound as soon as possible. I was thankful Rias agreed to make the Rating game as private as possible and fought Riser on his contradictory view, instead wanting to showcase it to the entire supernatural world. Luckily, big brother Siscon agreed with Rias and it was mostly private.

Unfortunately, even though I went through the trouble so I didn't have to meet any Satan, I would be meeting the head Satan himself. Both Sirzechs and Greyfia along with Sona and her queen were waiting for us. " Congratulations Rias. I rooted for you the entire time." the redheaded man said. I heard Rias answer the man but I was too focused on analyzing the guy. He had an air of superiority and confidence about him while exuding a small amount of pressure. I was sure he was suppressing it as much as he could but it could still clearly be felt.

I then decided to look at the silver-haired beauty next to him who was already staring at me. It was clear she recognized me even through my disguise but the question was what she was thinking of. Her face revealed nothing as she stoically stared at me and I stared back. Her gaze felt analytical, as though trying to assess my threat level. 'I know I posed no threat to her or Sirzechs, then is it possibly my connection or relation to Rias? Is it cause of my closeness to her? ' Such thoughts filled my mind as we were staring at each other for what felt like an eternity before it ended just as fast as it started with a small shove to my side.

I looked at the culprit and saw Rias looking at me with some sort of message on her face. I took a look at Sirzechs and saw him staring at me. ' Oh sh#t! Did I miss something? I hope they didn't see me staring at Greyfia. Calm down, calm down. It's not like I was caught staring at one of the strongest devils' wife. ' I thought before taking off my hood and baklava as Grayfia most likely told Sirzechs about me. I had no doubt she felt the draconian aura or gear in me when we first met and my display of the dragon shot most likely keyed her to who I was so it was useless.

" So, what did I miss? " Since I didn't hear what they were talking about, I decided to make a joke. The joke was sh#t at best but it would be better than straight-up admitting to not listening. It seemed to bare fruit as Sirzechs and Rias began chuckling. It seemed my joke wasn't as funny to Sona and especially Greyfia, as I swore I saw a ghost of a frown on her face. " Well, at least this generation's red dragon emperor has a good sense of humour." Sirzechs amusedly said.

" I wanted to thank you for helping my little Rias. If there's anything you would like within reason, do not be afraid to ask." I sent a friendly smile at Sirzechs before speaking. " It was nothing. It was a pleasure helping your sister and I don't need anything at the moment but I shall keep the offer in mind for future use."

Unfortunately, I saw some figures walking toward us from behind Sirzechs which was a prompt for me to leave. I wasn't looking to involve myself in any more devil politics and I knew I made some influential and rich people unhappy by helping Rias. " I'm sorry Sir Lucifer but I have to cut our meeting short as I have important business to attend to." "Ah, of course. I do hope to see you again and hopefully in better circumstances." I turned to Rias and whispered in her ear soft enough for only us two to hear." Don't forget the contract."

I then said my goodbyes once more before I began walking to the medical wing to get the rest of my subordinates. Ayaka informed me that three of them were eliminated and four went there to be treated for some of their wounds. I, unfortunately, didn't know where the wing was but I saw Kiba walking toward us so I decided to ask him.

Before I even said anything, Kiba summoned a sword and pointed it in my direction. " I'm sorry Jason but I'm gonna need that holy sword. " he angrily said. My subordinates reacted immediately summoning their gears and getting ready for a fight. Irina was also holding the sword in question ready for use. I summoned my gear and told Ddraig to boost as much as possible in my head. I was at first confused about why Kiba was doing this but I quickly remembered his past and it made everything clear." Well, I see you woke up and chose violence." I joked but it seemed to have no effect.

" Holy sword project was the name if I'm not mistaken." Clear surprise took over Kiba's face as he heard my words. " I'm guessing you were the one who escaped. Judging by your actions, you hold a deep hatred for the sword. Am I right?" I saw Kiba's face twist back into hatred at the mention of the sword. " Can I ask you something Kiba?" I walked up to him which made my subordinates tenser than they already were.

I was only a few meters away from him when I stopped and outstretched an arm right to his face with my hand in the shape of a gun. " If I was to shoot Rias and it killed her, do you blame the gun or do you blame me." Confusion covered Kiba's face. Before he could answer I continued speaking. " Just like that sword in your hands, that holy sword your after is only an inanimate object. It can be used for both good and evil, it's the user that decides its use." It seemed my words brought a bit of conflict in Kiba as he lowered his sword and his face showed a mix of emotions.

" Kiba, think logically here. I can't say I feel for you or that you should not take revenge but I can tell you that the way your going about this little revenge arc is downright stupid." My words infuriated Kiba as his face morphed back into a look of hatred but he didn't raise his sword at me which was a plus.

" I can see that my words have created turmoil in you so I'll let you stir in that pot of emotions." I took one of Kiba's hands and put a little slip of paper with my number on it. " If you're ever interested in who had done such atrocities to you and many others, contact me. I may have some info you might wanna know."

I walked past Kiba with my subordinates following right behind still ready for a fight. "Oh, and Kiba. " I ran back at such speeds that when Kiba looked back at my calling him and saw what was about to happen, he could only widen his eyes in response. My gauntlet-covered fist was aiming directly at his face and when it was about to impact, I stopped it inches away. The wind created from the sheer power of that possible attack made Kiba fly a dozen or so meters back. Kiba tried to quickly fumble back up but I was already in front of him and grabbed his neck." Never, and I mean never. Threaten to harm me or any of my members again, lest you want to meet your fallen comrades earlier than you thought. "

After leaving him with a kind suggestion, I began walking away, my subordinates following suit. " From now on, we treat him as a potential hostile until further notice." Even though Kiba had yet to do anything and it seemed he had taken my words to heart, it might not have been enough to change the emotions he had been carrying for years. The fact that he had pointed a sword at me already showed the lengths he would be willing to go and I didn't plan on giving up the sword so I needed to keep an eye on the blonde.

Ayaka, who had been walking right behind me nodded and inform the rest. Even without any help, we managed to find the wing and retrieve the rest of my subordinates. They were still wounded but it was fine as Asia would heal them.

I decided to ask Akeno who was also in the medical wing to teleport us back to Kouh before going back to my compound. I was a bit tired but I still had plenty of energy and was still blue-balled from not getting the proper fight I had hoped for so I decided to go train with Tiamat. Let's just say, I had gotten more than I hoped for with her leaving me needing Asia for healing and rest for quite a while.

After getting wrecked by Tiamat, I asked Ayaka to search for some companies that I knew would become a big thing in future. It was the early two thousands and many companies and things like coin were still in their early stages so I wanted to take advantage of that fact. I gave her a list of company names and where she could possibly find them. I told her that she could use about half the money we had made and I didn't care how she got the shares or coins as long as she didn't get caught.

A dozen or so days passed since I gave Ayaka the list and I had been busy increasing the size of my faction. I had some of the supernatural beings who were 'converted ' to our side searching and recruiting people. Unfortunately, it took them time to find people because gears were harder for them to sense when they had yet to be summoned. Unfortunately, I or rather Ddraig was the only one who could sense gears clearly so I had to do a lot of the recruitment. I had to widen my search area as the number of gear users near Kouh and the town I was in was sparse at best. I managed to get fifteen people in total, the most I had ever gotten. This increased my faction's size to seventy, an all-time high.

I decided to increase the benefits for the members of my faction. I needed them to continue being loyal and a way to ensure their loyalty was to make it worth being loyal. I also improved the compound and its defences. I got a barrier made that would be similar to the one from the church but this one also hid the compound from any outside view including satellite view.

I had the building walls magically strengthened along with faction attire. It had a bunch of charms and enhancements put on them. The amount was light for recruits and foot soldiers but the higher ranked got better charms. I hired military vets to properly train my subordinates. I also got some mages to try to teach my subordinates some magic. I knew learning magic was hard,to say the least. Hell, even with an enhanced brain, I was still struggling with some spells but you never knew, maybe there was someone talented.

Focusing on my faction made me realize that we didn't have a name. I simply named my faction the Rubrum Draco faction or red dragon faction in Latin. It wasn't very creative but I still thought it was a cool name.

I also hired a security team that knew of magical beings. I was lucky that the little Frankenstein lord had connections and wasn't afraid to lend me aid. Well, he took it out of our next paycheck as we were still working with him. I wouldn't know how to get all these people otherwise. I got those people to patrol my compound and watch the nearby town for any supernatural beings.

I then got a background check on myself so I could come up with a story if anyone asked about it. I also had them install cameras all around Kouh as I needed eyes there since it was the main setting of DxD, so much happened there.

I had also finally decided to cash in on one of my contract deals. Which was why I was currently being driven to the train station with some of my subordinates. This time, I had some supernatural species along. I had ten subordinates with me. Five of the strongest gear users, leaving out Ayaka and Max, an American immigrant who would be in charge with Ayaka's absence

I took five youkai from my faction who we saved from devil smugglers while helping the little Frankenstein. Though it was something the recruits were doing for the most part as it was an excellent way for them to gain experience.

They were of course knowledgeable about Kyoto and their faction. They had taught me a thing or two about Kyoto and the faction there but I didn't have enough time to really learn about it all. So they would help me while I would be in Kyoto. Kyoto would also serve as a little holiday.

When I finally arrived, I looked around a bit before finally finding Rias and her peerage along with Sona and her peerage which got a new member. Unexpectedly though, a magical girl was hugging Sona and rubbing her cheek with Sonas.

I took a glance around and was still amazed at how versatile magic was. Our attire had an enchantment that made normal humans unable to see us unless we interacted with them. We were wearing eye catching attire yet no one spared us a glance. I shook my head to clear it of such thoughts before walking up to the devils.

When I was in front of them, Rias along with Sona and who I guessed was Serafall Leviathan walked up to me. " I wasn't expecting a whole expedition team to be with us." I joked. " Well, I needed help in organizing a meeting with Yasaka and it ended in the arrival of Serafall Leviathan. She is the strongest female devil and she is in charge of foreign affairs. "Rias said while gesturing to Serafall. " Why is Sona here then?" I questioned. " Serafall is a siscon so-" I stopped Rias there as the rest was obvious. Especially with how Sona looked ready to end it all.

I decided to go introduce myself so I walked up to the sister duo and gave an amused smile." I almost didn't recognize you with how happy you look." I teased which Sona didn't find amusing as she sent me a death glare. This gained me the attention of the magical girl. The leviathan looked curiously at me before circling me as though inspecting every part of my body. " I know I'm built differently but you could just ask me questions if you planned to learn about me."

Serafall giggled a bit before striking a pose in front of me. "Nice to meet you. I am the Maou Serafall Leviathan. You can call me Levia-tan though." I saw Sona behind give her sister a look of disappointment? Cringe? I couldn't tell exactly but I could tell that it wasn't positive. " I'm Jason." I answered simply.

Serafall had begun talking about useless things I didn't care to pay attention to. We soon boarded the train and got to some seats. Rias sat next to me while Sona and Sarafall sat across from us. I planned to sleep for the entirety of the trip but it seemed as though that wasn't gonna happen.

" Can't you tell us anything?" Rias questioned once more. " I already told you I can't. It's news for Yasaka and only her." That was a lie. I could easily tell Rias that I knew of Yasaka's child abduction but that would raise unwanted questions. Questions I didn't want to answer yet." So, why are you coming along Miss Leviathan?" I asked out of boredom. Serafall gave me a pout before speaking. "Didn't I tell you to call me Levia-tan?"

" Nevermind. " I decided to just close my eyes and sleep which got a reaction out of Serafall. I heard her call me a meanie which brought a smile to my face before I dozed off. It seemed my body wasn't in the mood for sleep though, because I woke up after only twenty minutes. I decided to just listen to music and relax so I put on some headphones from the magical bag I carried on me and continued to close my eyes.

As I was resting in my seat, I took out some sour sweets and began eating them. As I expected, I felt a penetrating gaze to my side. I took a look in the direction of the gaze and saw Koneko standing right next to my seat, watching me eat. " You want?" I asked her and received a nod.

I put the sweets within her reach and she immediately grabbed a bunch. She put them all in her mouth and I got the pleasure of seeing her face scrunch up from the sourness. Seeing the normally stoic girl make such a face made me chuckle which made Koneko blush, probably out of embarrassment but it quickly disappeared. She continued to eat the sweets though in moderation while I took out a pzp, and yes, it was this world's version of the one we were thinking of.

I recently got it since I could afford to splurge a bit. I soon noticed Koneko was watching and I offered her a chance to play which she accepted. I patted the space in between my seat for her to sit and clear apprehension was on her face so I had to clear any suspicions. " Don't worry, I won't do anything. Plus, if you don't like it, you could just continue to stand." I could see her considering it before she eventually sat down.

I was once again surprised as I never thought she would actually do it. I wanted to see if she would and I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe she wasn't as apprehensive cause I had yet to show any perverted side. " If you try anything, I'll kill you." I heard her threaten. I gave Koneko the pzp and we continued to play the game I had on while I shared some of the snacks I had.

We also talked about music as she heard what I was listening to and was interested to hear. I was surprised she was into rap and even played her favourite music for me to hear. I played some of my favourite songs for her as well. There weren't many yet as many of my favourites had yet to be made. That gave me the idea to just create them myself but it would have to be a side project.

While watching Koneko play, I got a call so I decided to excuse myself to the restroom. " My Emporer, I have urgent news." I recognized the voice to be Max. " What's the problem?"

Life in the multiverse- A recruit-

" How are you feeling Emi?" Emi, my best friend looked a bit nervous but sent me a smile before speaking. " I can't lie. I'm a bit nervous but excited at the same time. I just can't believe that the supernatural is real. I mean, we are literally being driven by a fallen angel who knows where to learn magic." I chucked at her response but I felt similarly. It was surreal.

" It's even more surreal that we are both special. That we both have a secret gear." I was thankful for that. I wouldn't know what to do if it was me alone. " Sacred gear." Emi corrected me. " Right. I'm also surprised that your parents agreed to this." After all, Emi's parents weren't good with Emi being away. They were really overprotective so it was surprising that they agreed.

" I'm surprised as well, but I'm happy they did. At first, they were adamant against it but after they talked to Mr. Fallen, they agreed." Emi seemed to blush when talking about Mr. Fallen. I felt a twinge of jealousy at her reaction, but I couldn't blame her. Mr. Fallen was a good-looking guy which made my jealousy worse." He must be an amazing negotiator." I commented.

After a bit of small talk, we kept quiet for the rest of the trip. We finally arrived after an hour or so. When I got out of the car and took a look around, I saw an abundant amount of trees. It was clear that we were in a forest. I looked at the compound in front of us and saw a group of people standing in front of the gate.

Our Fallen driver had told us to join the group in front of the gate and that our luggage would be taken to our rooms. Emi and I nervously walked to the meeting area where we stood together away from the others. From what I could see, everyone around we're new as well.

Before I could better examine everyone, the gate opened and a bunch of people wearing what I could only say was rogue attire like from medieval fantasy games. It looked more modern though and best of all, it looked cool.

The rogues surrounded our group and when I looked back at the gate, I saw a blonde-haired guy who was clearly a Westerner. " I welcome you all to the Rubrum Draco faction. " the man said with pride clearly showing. Excitement filled me as the possibilities filled my head. A new chapter to a whole new world.
