Guest: Thank you. No, I do not plan to write a sequel.

Kent Farm

Morning

In Clark's bedroom, Clark and Paige laid in bed, naked save for the sheets they were wrapped in. Paige had her head on Clark's bare chest as they talked softly.

"So things are going well with your new charge?" Clark asked curiously.

"As well as they can, I'm trying to be there for her but her boyfriend…I get a bad vibe about him," Paige said with a sigh.

"If I learned anything from watching Lana with Lex, you can't help someone until they're willing to hear you and pushing them will just make them dig in their heels. Best you can do is just be there when she finally realizes the truth," Clark told her.

"I guess. I just hope it's not too late by then," Paige said worriedly.

Clark opened his mouth to speak but before he could say anything, Paige's phone rang. Shooting an apologetic look at Clark, Paige reached over where they had placed their phones on Clark's nightstand and picked it up. Seeing it was Piper, she answered.

"Hey Piper, what's up…what? Is she okay?...okay…alright, I guess we'll be there soon enough," Paige said before hanging up.

"Everything okay?" Clark asked as he sat up.

"Not the word I would use. Phoebe and one of her classmates were attacked by a demon. She's fine, but he's dead," Paige said, to Clark's alarm.

"God, that's terrible," Clark said and she nodded.

"Yeah, but that's not all. Leo's at magic school, and he wants to see us, both of us," Paige said, surprising Clark. "Doesn't sound like it's about the demon."

"Maybe he's found something on Darkseid," Clark said hopefully.

"Only way to find out. Come on, let's find our clothes and get going," Paige said as they got out of bed.

Magic School

Later that morning

Clark looked around as Paige Orbed them in, taking note of their surroundings.

"So this is Magic School," Clark muttered.

"Not exactly Wolfram and Hart, but we get by," Paige said only for Clark to shoot her a blank look. "Seriously? You've never seen Angel?"

"Should I have?" Clark asked and she laughed.

"When all this is over, we're having a marathon," Paige told him as she dragged him into Leo's office.

Leo was going through a book when they walked in, closing it before looking at them.

"Hey, thanks for coming on such short notice," Leo told them.

"Of course. How's Phoebe?" Paige asked in concern.

"Pretty shaken up but handling it the best she can. That's not actually why I called you here," Leo said as he pulled out another book. "I found something on Darkseid. Or more specifically, the Bow of Orion."

"What exactly did you find?" Clark inquired, trying not to get too hopeful.

"Like the Book of Shadows said, it's the only thing capable of defeating him. Orion used it to defeat Darkseid the last time he arrived on earth. He hid it somewhere no one has been able to find it. But by reading up on him, I found a lot of references to stars so I started looking into constellations. There's one called the Bow of Orion. It's associated with a set of coordinates on the Celtic Coast," Leo explained as he handed a piece of paper to Clark.

"You think Orion hid it there?" Paige inquired.

"It's the most likely location," Leo said.

"Either way, it's worth checking out," Paige noted and Clark nodded.

"Yeah. But with Zankou still out there, I don't feel comfortable heading over to the Celtic Coast for who knows how long," Clark said with a frown.

"We'll you just can't just leave the only weapon that can help us beat the king of darkness out of our world," Paige pointed out.

"I don't plan to," Clark assured her.

The Underworld

Same time

"Where's the body?!" the Alchemist demanded as Zankou entered his lair.

"Patience my friend. That body will be ready for you later. For the moment, I was curious about something. Would you be able to revile a body that's been dead quite a bit longer?" Zankou inquired and the Alchemist paused.

"Depends. How long are we talking?" The alchemist inquired.

"Six years, give or take," Zankou told him.

"Can you do it?"

The Alchemist started as Darkseid appeared, his black form materializing behind Zankou. The Alchemist stared at him fearfully for a moment before swallowing.

"I won't know until I find out," the Alchemist said, managing to keep his voice steady despite his fear.

Darkseid nodded at him before waving his hand. Several feet away, a metal casket appeared on a table.

"Let's find out then, shall we?" Zankou said with a smirk.

After a beat, the Alchemist approached the casket, looking at him hungrily.

"If I may ask, why this body?" the alchemist asked.

"Because, Kal-El may have the powers of a god, but he is as human as the sisters. He is prone to weakness and regret as much as anyone else. And there's one regret he's never faced, one thing he can never make right," Zankou said with a smirk.

"Hardly enough to defeat him," the alchemist noted.

"We do not need him to be defeated. Merely distracted," Darkseid told him and the Alchemist nodded.

Opening the casket, the alchemist stared down into the casket, seeing a decaying corpse, female, with blond hair.

"You sure you want this body? It hardly has a face," the Alchemist noted.

Silently, Darkseid waved a hand and the decaying skin was replaced with a fleshy face, no sign it had just been a near skeleton.

"Do it," Darkseid ordered.

Luthor Corp

Mid—Afternoon

"So let me get this straight Clark, you want me to head over to Ireland to find some legendary weapon that might not even be there?" Oliver asked in disbelief as Clark told him the whole story in Oliver's office.

"It's out there, I know, but if there's even a chance it's true, can we really not afford to check this out?" Clark pointed out and Oliver nodded reluctantly.

"Okay, point. But why me? Wouldn't Kara, Bart, or AC be a better pick for this particular mission? It is right up AC's alley," Oliver pointed out.

"Tess can't raise AC on the Comms, Kara hasn't been home in days, and Bart's busy in Central City. Something about a telepathic gorilla," Clark said and Oliver looked at him startled.

"Seriously?" Oliver asked and Clark nodded. "Why is it Bart gets all the cool rogues?"

"Oliver," Clark said in exasperation and Oliver held up his hands.

"Alright, alright. Good thing about no longer being a fugitive, I have access to a private jet. I can be there in a few hours," Oliver assured him.

"Thanks Oliver. Now I have to go," Clark said as he turned around.

"If you're sending me on a search mission, hate to know what has you so stressed," Oliver quipped and Clark shot him a look.

"Piper has me getting everything for Chris's birthday party while they focus on the demon," Clark said bluntly and Oliver was silent for a moment.

"From saving the world to playing gofer. You really do do it all," Oliver said with a laugh.

"Just get on that jet as fast as you can. We don't have a moment to waste," Clark said before speeding out.

The Underworld

Same time

In the Alchemist's lair, Alicia Baker came to with a gasp.

"Wha-where am I? Who are you?" the girl demanded as she sat up, looking around at Zankou and the Alchemist in fear.

"Relax Alicia, you're among friends," Zankou told her as he approached.

"What happened?" Alicia demanded.

"What's the last thing you remember?" the Alchemist asked as he raised his hand, which glowed as Alicia's mind was flooded with an image.

Alicia cried out as Tim put a rag over her mouth before she blacked out.

"Tim, he was framing me. And then he attacked me," Alicia remembered.

"He killed you Alicia, more than six years ago," Zankou revealed to her shock. "But I brought you back."

"We brought you back," the Alchemist corrected.

"I don't understand," Alicia said in confusion.

"You will. And we will help you get revenge on the one who wronged you, betrayed you and abandoned you: Clark Kent," Zankou said with a smirk.

A bit on the short side I know, but next chapter will make up for it.

So I'm throwing out most of the remainder of Smallville's tenth season. While I do enjoy it for the most part, it really wasn't needed for the story, but I will be incorporating events for the last few episodes, such as the bow of Orion.

Hope you liked the twist of Zankou bringing back Alicia to mess with Clark.
