Family Day
I was finishing getting ready when I heard a noise and sighed. I put down my hairbrush and looked at my bathroom door.
"Steve! You better not be messing with my stuff!" I called out to my otherworldly cousin.
"Steve knows nothing, but Steve still acts!"
I chose to ignore Steve and took a few steps back. I smiled as I took in my appearance; I was in my "Aunt Milly" form and was wearing my usual outfit, with one minor change. I had a second sweater tied around my waist.
I wouldn't be taking any chances, not after Soulmas.
Pleased with my appearance, I left my bathroom. I groaned when I saw Steve messing with Drake Blacklight's Soul of Dark Thunder sword. He was swinging it around in a childish manner, but he was at least in an open area.
"Steve!" I nearly screamed.
Startled, my otherworldly cousin jumped and dropped the sword. He gave me a sheepish smile as I sighed. Thankfully the sword is powerless unless I or the character I created it for holds it.
I glared scoldingly at Steve before I walked over to the chair where I kept my jacket. I put my hand on it and sent a surge of "author magic" into it. I put it on as the article of clothing color changed from black to hot pink.
"Well, should we get going?" I asked Steve. "Don't want to be late for Family Day?"
Steve smiled and walked up to me. I put up a hand and took a step back.
"Oh, no, we're not going to the Boiling Islses like last time," I retorted as I glared at my cousin. "My stomach churns just thinking about it."
So I walked over to my apartment's front door and pressed my realm gate neckless against it. The item released energy onto my door, and I removed it a second later. The door swing opened, and I could see the Boiling Isles through it.
"So, boss girl, I got to know! Why did you put Mother and Father's Day together?" Steve asked as we stepped through the portal. "I thought you would take Father's Day to honor-whoa! What happened here?"
"I don't know," I muttered, mouth dry. "This wasn't in my script."
We looked around and took in the state of Bonesborough; the city was in ruin, and some buildings were on fire. I looked at Steve, and he saw what I saw. My otherworldly cousin nodded, and I returned the gesture before we headed to the town's square.
We soon arrived at Town's Square. What we saw caused our jaws to drop; 14-year-old versions of the Owl Familia mothers and Gwen were taking turns spanking a familiar demon with all of Bonesborough watching.
"Whoa," Steve whispered, eyes wide. "What happened while you were getting ready?"
I wanted to reply to Steve but was too shocked to form words. A noise startled me, and I looked to my right. I watched as a beast scurried away. I frowned as I knew the beast was part of the story, but why did it look so disoriented?
I looked around the town again, and my frown deepened when I realized this wasn't in my story. None of what happened here was part of my story.
Steve and I watched as the trio of mothers continued to spank Tibbles as our confusion grew.
"So," Steve said awkwardly, "How do we handle this?"
I wanted to go and ask someone what happened. A voice in my head stopped that and urged me to do something different. I tried to ignore this voice, but it was too loud, and I sighed.
"Let's do a time travel thing," I muttered in defeat.
Steve gave me a confused look…for about a second. He grinned wide and rushed me. Before I knew what had happened, he hugged me tight, and I heard a snap. Suddenly, I found myself falling from the sky.
I didn't scream as we rapidly approached the ground. I just glared at Steve as we landed on something soft. I groaned as I rolled off the mess of abomination goo and gave myself a quick check.
I wasn't hurt, if you don't count my pride. Even better, I wasn't too covered in goo. I was cleaning off the goo when I heard familiar voices.
"AUNTIE MILLY!"
I managed to brace myself as Luz and Amity tackled me. I let out a hearty laugh as I ruffled their hair.
"Hey, squirts, how are things going?" I asked wholeheartedly.
"Otay!" the two replied as they pulled away from me.
I smiled warmly at them and then looked around. The town was decorated for the holidays, like in my other stories. I studied a banner and frowned when I saw something off.
The banner's color was gold and silver. I found that weird; the colors for Family Day should have been purple and black, the colors of Eda's parents' outfits.
I realized then why things weren't adding up; something or someone was messing with my story. And I planned to head home and find out who was behind this hijack.
That was the plan before I felt a tug on my skirt and looked down. Luz was smiling at me, and despite my need to figure this mess out, I gave Luz a warm smile.
"Yeah, squirt? What do you need?" I asked warmly.
Luz continued to smile as she took my hand and led me somewhere close by. I knew I should focus on figuring out who was messing with my story, but I couldn't help but get caught in Luz's energy as she led me to two familiar witches.
"Abuelo! Abuela!" Luz called happily.
The elder Clawthornes smiled warmly at their adopted granddaughter as Luz ran over to them. She hugged Gwen, and she returned the favor with interest.
"Hello dear," Gwen said warmly, then turned her attention to me. "And you must be Michelle?"
"Please," I said politely, offering the older witch a handshake. "Call me Milly."
Gwen smiled and went to shake my hand. Suddenly, we were startled by a noise and looked to our right. Gwen rolled her eyes when she saw it was Eda, "knocked-down" to 14, getting into a fight with a Hexside student.
With a light shake of the head, the elder Clawthorne went over to her daughter. I also walked over to the "knocked-down" witch and frowned when I noticed something; the student wasn't for Hexside like I first thought.
No, the student was from Glandus, and she was very familiar looking. I groaned when I finally realized it was Bria, and I could guess where this story was heading.
I groaned when Tibbles appeared in a poof of blue smoke. In the pig-like demon's hand was a Capture Sphere. No, there was something off about the item in the demon's possession.
"Hello, Mr. Grimhammer," Gwen said politely though her voice was a bit strained. "How are you doing on this fine Family Day?"
Tibbles didn't reply; he just grinned as the rest of the Familia gathered around. Bria used this time to exit. I barely noticed this as I continued to stare at the orb; I knew it was something important, but I couldn't put my finger on it.
"What do you want, bacon butt?" Eda asked rudely after the demon didn't answer Gwen.
"Oh, just my revenge," Tibbles replied diabolically, holding out the orb. "And this control sphere will help with that?"
I groaned as I did a faceplant; I know I'm not the best writer on the internet, but I tried not to repeat plots I used in the same story or series.
Whoever's hijacking this story will get one serious talking to when this is over.
Wait… I went over Tibble's words again and looked at the orb. My eyes snapped open when I realized what's been bugging me about the sphere and tried to stop Tibbles.
"Wait! That's not a Control Sphere!"
My warning came too late; the pig demon activated the orb. Magic swirled around the item as it lifted from Tibble's hands. The con artist grinned wildly as orange magic exploded from the sphere.
Everyone looked at the space where the sphere was and was confused by this turn of events.
"Are you fools under my control?" Tibbles asked awkwardly, and the Familia shook their heads.
I, on the other hand, just sighed and looked around. I know what that sphere was, and it does. I wasn't looking forward to what happened next.
I wasn't the only one either; I heard Gwen sigh and looked at her.
"Edalyn, Lilith, Camila," the old beast-keeper said firmly. "Take the kids and your father someplace safe."
I could feel the ground vibrating slightly and heard noises not too far off. I looked at Tibbles and saw that he was more confused than before. I turned my attention to the Owl Familia; Eda wanted to fight with her mother. I could see it in her eyes.
Gwen shut that down with a glare, one that made me shiver. Eda shared the feeling and decided to obey her mother.
The trio of mothers ushered Luz, Amity, and Dell away when the source of the noise came into view; a herd of demon beasts. I groaned as I made a spell circle and summoned some fire.
These beasts were part of my original story; they were supposed to be part of the finale.
I planned to use fire spells to steer the hoard away from the square. I wanted to minimize the damage the creatures were about to cause as much as possible.
I was about to throw my first spell when Gwen joined me with a spell circle at the ready. I knew what she was planning, and I had to try and stop her.
"Mrs. Clawthorne!" I shouted. "These guys are under the effect of a Rampage Sphere! You can't tame them at the moment!"
"I know!" Gwen replied, "But I wouldn't let these beasts hurt my family."
I became confused by that and looked over my shoulder. I cursed when I saw Tibbles fleeing in the same direction as Luz and the others.
Since I created the Rampage Sphere, I knew the ins and outs of that trick item. Tibbles was the one who activated it, and thus, the beasts will chase him for the next two hours.
So, with a defeated sigh, I turned my attention to the task at hand.
The herd was close, and Gwen and I let our spells fly. A massive flock of title bats flew off the buildings they were attached to and formed a wall a few feet ahead of us. The wall didn't long; the beasts broke through instantly.
My fireballs weren't doing much either; the spell the beasts were under was too strong, and nothing will stop them from reaching their target. Gwen and I realized this was a lost cause, and we silently agreed to a tactical retreat.
Gwen summoned her witch's staff and hopped on as she offered me a hand. I grabbed her hand as Gwen was lifting into the air. I suddenly felt a beast hit me in the legs. I screamed as I lost my hold on Gwen's hand and heard my fabric ripping as I fell.
I landed on the beast's back and became disoriented as it continued on its way. I quickly came to my senses and realized I was trapped; the rest of the herd had caught on to the one I was on. That meant if I tried to jump, I could hurt myself badly.
It was times like this I wished I gave my witch forms Palismen.
Thankfully, vines and abomination goo wrapped around my arms and lifted me off the beast. I sighed with relief and smiled at the two "knocked-down" witches on their staffs.
I frowned when I felt something off and looked down. I nearly screamed when I saw that my sweater was gone and my skirt had a tear that went up my butt. That meant my unicorn panties were on display for all to see.
I growled with irritation as I used my backup plan, contacting Steve with the oracle stone I had given him. I told Steve to get my backup outfit from his place as Luz and Amity took me to an alley for privacy.
As I waited for Steve, I made a promise; once the two hours passed and Tibbles dealt with, I'll find the one who hijacked my story.
I hope they pray to the Titan for good luck because I plan on showing them no mercy.
No one messes with my things and gets away with it.

Manny: Yeah, we might want to get out of here before they get home.
Papa Titan (Shrugging): I don't see the problem; if you ask me, this one was better than the one they had.
Manny (Sighed and looked at the reader): This wasn't the planned story, but I hope you all had a happy Mother's Day.
