The sun was rising over the city of Royal woods. As the sun rose over 1216 Franklin Ave, A young boy wearing an orange pinstripe suit and white sports shoes with red stripes was waiting out the front of the house. He breathed slowly, as he watched the sun come up. as he heard footsteps, the boy turned around only to see another boy wearing a white business suit carrying a box approaching him. the boy smiled at the newcomer as he opened the box revealing a mysterious buckle and an orange circle like device.
"Congratulations." The boy in the white business suit said smiling. "You have been chosen by Kaiba Corp to participate."
The boy in the Orange pinstripes turned to face him revealing himself to be Lincoln Loud. Lincoln knew this day was coming and he was ready.
"Thanks," Lincoln said, taking the box. "I hope you're ready for me."
The boy in the white business suit shrugged as he turned away. Lincoln heard a ringing sound coming from the boy's pocket as he walked away. The boy in the white business suit pulled a phone out and answered it. He couldn't hear much but he did a bit of the call.
"Hey Bro! It's Mokuba. He accepted the invite."

Later that day, at Miss Liza's Pageant Training Center, Lincoln's little sister Lola was getting ready for the Little Miss dream princess pageant. She was determined to win this because if she did, she would be Royal Woods' princess for a day! Lola happily twirled around in delight while dreaming about her rule as a princess for a day. She was wearing a pink sleeveless ball gown with 2 petticoats underneath and her usual light pink gloves. She was just about to put her tiara on when the door to her dressing room opened. Lola turned around and saw her mother Rita, wearing a coral dress and white heels, enter the room. She happily smiled at her daughter who grinned.
"I can't believe this is happening to me, Mummy!" Lola excitedly said. Rita smiled at her daughter. "We're so proud of you sweetie." She said hugging her daughter. "You all be watching me, right?" Lola asked. "Actually Lola, Lincoln had to take a rain check." Rita said putting a hand on Lola's shoulder. Lola was shocked by this news. "Why?" She asked confused. "I don't know." Rita shrugged. "He said he had to meet his destiny." Lola was disappointed. Lincoln was her pageant coach and always attended her pageants. Why did he have to skip the biggest pageant of her life? "What about Lynn?" She asked. "She had a game today honey." Rita replied. "Again!? She's had a load of them lately." Lola groaned angrily. But if Lola knew what Lynn was really doing, She would've been scared.
Meanwhile, in an unknown room, Lynn Loud Jr. was getting ready for her big moment. This was her big moment. Nothing was going to stop her, not even her brother who was just starting the game. Lynn was wearing a red sleeveless gown with a white line across the top of it. To her mind, she looked ridiculous. But it was in the rules that all participants had to wear formal wear while playing the game. Just then, a young man wearing a long white sleeveless KaibaCorp-designed coat featuring shoulder pads and a raised studded collar, with black sleeves from his shirt coming out from under, extra belts in pairs strapped around his upper arms and shins and black jean pants entered the room. This was Seto Kaiba, the CEO of Kaiba Corp and the host of the Desire Grand Prix. Lynn looked at her brother who was still in the orange pinstripe suit that he had worn that morning. Lynn didn't know why he got a Desire Driver and right now she didn't care. She had been participating in the Desire Grand Prix for months now and was about to bag her 15th win. Today she was finally gonna put her brother in his place.
"DUELISTS!" Kaiba barked. "Today will be your last chance to make your desire a reality. The 6-month battle is about to come to an end. You four have a chance to win the honour of being the Desire God. Which of you will change the world? Your moment of fate draws near!" That'll be me then! Lynn thought, grinning. But Little did Lynn know that this time, she wouldn't win the Desire Grand Prix.
Back at Miss Liza's Pageant Training Center, Lola was waiting for her moment on stage. As she twirled around happily in her gown, her twin sister Lana nervously fiddled with her gown. Like Lola, Lana was wearing a sleeveless ball gown with 2 petticoats underneath but her dress was dark blue. Lana wasn't fussed about wearing it but since this was her twin's big day, she tried not to let it bother her.
"I can't believe you talked me into this." Lana muttered under her breath. "Come on Lana, we talked about this." Lola said looking at her twin. "We gotta be there for each other. I was there for you at the Team 5D's meet and greet so you got to be here for me when I win princess for a day." "Oh no!" Lana joked. "You're already bossy enough as you are!" "Silence peasant!" Lola laughed. Lana grinned. She loved making her twin smile and today was a special day. Lola held up her handheld mirror in her hand and looked at herself in it. "Mirror, mirror in my hand. Who's the prettiest in the land?" Lola said, looking at herself in it. Lana tried not to roll her eyes. Lola worked hard for this moment and she deserved it. But if she knew what was gonna happen, she would've gotten Lola out of there fast. But she didn't and ... well, here we are. As Lola lowered her mirror, Lana smiled at her twin. "Aren't you a little nervous?" She asked. "Well, to be a true pageant legend I can't be afraid to bite off more than I can chew." Lola replied, adjusting her tiara. Lana handed her twin sister a water bottle who took a swig from it. "I know you'll do it." Lana said. "Thanks, Lans." Lola smiled handing her the water bottle. "Need a refill, huh?" Lana grinned. "I'm on it." But just as Lana was about to head over to the water tank to refill her twin's water bottle, there was a huge explosion that knocked both her and Lola to the ground. Lana picked herself up and looked over at her twin. Surprisingly, she and her gown were intact. Lana hurried over to Lola and helped her up. "Lana? What's happening?" Lola asked worriedly. "I have no idea." Lana said, trying to keep calm. Just then a scream came from the stage. Lana and Lola peeked out from behind the curtain and gasped. Both of the twins couldn't believe what they were seeing! Monsters that looked like train robbers were attacking everything in sight! "Wha- Monsters!? REAL monsters!?" Lana gasped. "What's going on!?" Lola gawped.
Back in the unknown room, Kaiba looked at one of the many monitors. The picture on the screen showed Miss Liza's Pageant Training Center covered in a red circle. Mokuba was already looking at the computer and typing frantically. "Shadows have appeared in sector 53." He said turning to face the four contestants. "Let's begin the final round!" All contestants (apart from Lincoln) equipped their Desire Drivers. Lynn looked at her brother. "Aren't you coming, Stinkoln?" Lynn asked. "Not this time." Lincoln said calmly. "I gotta hold back for a while." Lynn shook her head in disbelief. Just then Kaiba walked over to her. "Lynn, if you win this, you'll go down as the greatest Desire Grand Prix contestant in history. Think you can handle this problem?" He said with a smirk. Lynn smiled at him, ready to kick some shadow behind. "Yes sir!" She said confidently, snapping a salute at him. "At ease soldier." Kaiba said. Lynn was a great player but she lacked restraint.
Back at Miss Liza's Pageant Training Center, Lana and Lola were surrounded on all sides by the train robber-like monsters who had taken over the backstage area. Both the twins were too scared to move and were holding on to each other in fear. But just as one of the monsters was about to deliver a blow to them, something rammed into it and several others. Lola opened her eyes to see a young boy with yellow and red hair with pink stripes and accents wearing a black and green bodysuit with golden stripes going across his body and a grey belt at the waistline. The boy's top half seemed to be covered in a purple and orange armour with hints of silver. A claw-like weapon was on his left hand and he was holding in his other hand a weapon that looked like a chainsaw.
Lola couldn't help but stare in awe at this. Someone had saved them! But before she could say anything, the train robber-like monsters started swarming around them again. Lola screamed in terror as the monsters prepared to strike. But one of the monsters got hit by an arrow and exploded. Lola looked at the direction that the arrow had came from and gasped. It was another boy with turquoise hair and red bangs. Unlike the first boy, he didn't have armour but he wore a grey jumpsuit patterned with orange flames licking the limbs, red rib sections, and a yellow arrowhead shape running down his chest with a triangular aquamarine gem in the centre and red shoulder pads, greaves, and a gauntlet on his left hand and an elbow-guard on his right arm. He held a highlighter green crossbow in his hand.
Lola was shocked by this. Who were these boys and why were they fighting these monsters? The boy who had the crossbow turned to the boy in the purple and orange armour. "Want to be a little more reckless?" He asked. "'Cause I'm not sure they saw you coming!" The other boy just swung his chainsaw-like weapon at the monsters, slicing through a few of them. The boy who had the crossbow just sighed and turned to the twins. "You two need to come with me if you want to live." He said in a friendly tone. Lola nodded, pleased to see a friendly face but Lana on the other hand was lost for words. "Snap out of it, Lana." Lola snapped as she dragged her twin out of the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Lynn was watching the events from Lola's dressing room. She pulled out a device that had a moulded gun barrel and trigger. "Looks like I'm up." She grinned looking at the boy in the purple and orange armour.. "Game on Playmaker! No way you're beating me this time." Lynn inserted the device onto her Desire Driver.
SET!
Lynn stretched out her arms and took a defensive stance. "Hen-shin!" She said as she spun the barrel and pulled the trigger.
Meanwhile, Lincoln was relaxing in a room that looked like a VIP lounge. Mokuba was watching him with a concerned look on his face as the man with the plan (patent pending) casually sipped a cup of tea. Lincoln had been sitting there since the mission began. It didn't look like he was gonna join the game any time soon. Why did his brother invite him to join the game anyway? Mokuba tried not to let it bother him.
"Shouldn't you be out there now?" Mokuba asked, looking at Lincoln with concern. "Don't worry." Lincoln said, holding up a device that looked like a motorcycle handle. "I have the trump card." Mokuba nodded, surprised at what Lincoln held in his hand. It was an item that could turn the game around. Lincoln soon finished his tea and stood up. "Looks like I'm up." He said. "By the way, I'm more of a jasmine tea guy." Mokuba groaned in frustration. How did he end up with a job like this?
Lincoln soon arrived at the main room of the Kaiba Dome. Kaiba looked at him and nodded. Lincoln took out his device and revved the handle, causing it to open.
BOOSTRIKER!
As soon as the device was open, a stylish red motorcycle appeared next to Lincoln. He smiled as he climbed aboard, ready for action. Kaiba nodded as Lincoln gunned the throttle on the bike and sped out of the room. Good luck Lincoln, he thought as Lincoln disappeared from view.
Meanwhile, the twins had been escorted out of harm's way and were sitting on the roof of Miss Liza's Pageant Training Center. Lana was catching her breath while Lola was looking at the boy that had saved them. For a while no one said anything. Finally, Lola got the courage to speak. "Um, thanks for saving us." She said nervously. The boy turned around and smiled at the twins. "Ah, don't worry about it." He said calmly. "I can't stand seeing people in trouble." Lana said nothing because she was still out of breath. "Who are you, anyway?" Lola asked curiosity getting the better of her. The boy happily stroked Lola's head. "The name's Soulburner." He said. "I hope you remember it." Soulburner huh? Lola thought, curious about what was going on. But before she could question Soulburner, she heard a familiar voice. "Oh yeah! 50 more points for me!" Lola looked in the direction of the voice and gasped. Lynn was in the fray of the fight below! What's she doing here!? Lola thought in alarm.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Lynn was having the time of her life. She had changed out of her gown and was now wearing her Strong Suit costume with a few modifications. There was a black bodysuit underneath the red and white striped leotard and her top half was covered in white armour with red highlights. The Desire Driver was still on her waist and she was also holding a handgun. She was grinning as she shot a few more shadows. She turned to the boy in the purple and orange armour who was still at it. "We both know how this ends, Playmaker!" Lynn shouted as she shot a few more rounds at the shadows. "Not today!" The boy in the purple and orange armour snapped back. He pulled the black part on his chainsaw weapon up.
POISON CHARGE!
The blade of the chainsaw weapon started grinding as the boy slashed his way through the shadows making them explode.
TACTICAL BREAK!
Lynn reloaded her gun and shot a few more shadows, teeth gritted in determination. She could taste victory! "You can't beat me!" She said as she reloaded. "I'm the best there is, and best there was, and the best there ever will be!" She was so close to winning that she didn't notice that she hit a shadow that had just stopped moving. Unfortunately, Soulburner did. "Crud! She hit the boss!" He said worried. From where they were on the roof, Lola and Lana watched in horror as the shadow mutated into a hideous red and blue monster that roared hideously!
BUILD!
Lola couldn't believe her eyes! The red and blue monster swung at Lynn who ducked out of the way. The boy in the purple and orange armour rushed forward, brandishing his chainsaw weapon. But the monster swung back at him, hitting him in his armour! The boy crashed into the wall making it crack. "Oh no!" Lola gasped. "PLAYMAKER!" Soulburner screamed in horror. Down on the ground, the boy was badly hurt. Then he began to dissolve. "I'm sorry... Ai..." He said as he disappeared.
GAME OVER!
Lynn saw this happen and grinned. "One down, one to go!" She said, cocking her gun. Lola couldn't believe it. Someone just lost their life and Lynn didn't even care! She shook her head in disgust. Just as Lynn was about to fire at the monster when it hit her in the chest! Lola could've sworn she heard treads grinding against Lynn's chest before she was thrown back at the wall that was cracked. Lynn lay against the floor, somehow back in her gown, unable to move. But the cracked wall began to break due to the impact. Within seconds the entire building began to come down! Lola tried to keep her balance as the roof began to crumble but she eventually lost her footing. Lana watched in horror as her twin sister began to fall down to the ground along the pieces of rubble. "LOLA!" She yelled in horror. As she approached the ground Lola got more scared, wondering how she got herself into this mess. "SOMEONE PLEASE HELP MEEEEE!" She screamed. But as Lola closed her eyes in fear something unexpected happened.
KAPOOF!
When Lola opened her eyes she was surprised. Her gown formed a bell shape around her waist, slowing her down. She sighed in relief, glad to be not plummeting to the ground. Just then she saw a red motorcycle pull up near the place where the entrance was. The rider of it held out his arms as Lola floated down towards him. "I got you! Don't worry!" He called to her. Lola allowed herself to be caught by the mysterious rider. As Lola touched the ground she sighed in relief, her gown somehow keeping her bell shape allowing her pink heels to be seen. "Thanks." She said to the mysterious rider who got off the bike. "Whoever you are." The rider removed his helmet, revealing himself to be Lincoln who smiled at his little sister. "No problem." Lola gasped, surprised to see her big brother. "Linky?" She asked with tears in her eyes. Lincoln hugged her little sister, stroking her sister's hair to calm her down. Lola looked over her brother's shoulder to see the ruins of Miss Liza's Pageant Training Center. "My dream!" She sobbed. "It's gone forever!" "Forget about it." Lincoln said calmly. Lola looked at her brother in shock. "What?" She asked, still shedding tears. "I said forget about it." Lincoln replied, still calm. "And forget about this world. It's all coming to an end." Meanwhile, Lynn was pulling herself out of the wreckage of the building. What are you doing now Stinkoln? She thought staring at on the other hand managed to escape with Soulburner on a hoverboard. Lincoln was walking towards the monster, a smile on his face. Lola was upset about her pageant career being destroyed but she also wondered what her brother meant by the world coming to an end. Lincoln picked up the gun barrel-like device that Lynn had used. Soulburner looked at Lincoln concerned. " Uh, look, no offence, kid, but we don't got time for no dress rehearsal." He said, trying to stop another person from losing their life. "It's showtime! And you haven't even mastered transforming yet." "Watch me." Lincoln said as he slotted the device onto his Desire Driver.
SET!
The twins watched as their brother struck a heroic pose and snapped his fingers. SNAP! "Henshin!" Lincoln said as he spun the barrel and pulled the trigger on the device. Almost immediately, Lincoln had changed into his Ace Savvy suit as the white armour Lynn had worn attached to his upper body.
MAGNUM! READY? FIGHT!
Lana stared at her brother in amazement. Her brother was really a superhero! How come he never told her? Meanwhile, Lola was still upset about her pageant career. Lincoln smiled as he readied the handgun Lynn was using earlier. "Here comes the highlight!" He said running into the fray.

MAGNUM SHOOTER 40X!
Lincoln fired the first shot at the shadows in an attempt to show them that he meant business. But the shadows surged forward and tried to hit him. Lincoln wasn't surprised by this as he had seen this move before. He cocked the Magnum Shooter 40x in a clockwise motion at the shadows hitting the monsters and knocking them down. But as some surged forward, Lincoln converted the gun into a rifle to take out the shadows in the back (just missing Lynn who was in the line of fire). Lynn stared at her brother in amazement. He was doing amazing, even though it was just his first game! "That's some brother you got there!" Soulburner said as he and the twins were heading to her. "Don't I know it." Lynn grinned. Back on the battlefield, Lincoln was clearing out shadows left and right. Just then the red and blue monster appeared roaring angrily. "Woah there big guy!" Lincoln joked, firing a warning shot at it. But the shots weren't doing anything to the monster. Lincoln tried again but the Magnum Shooter 40x just clicked as a warning appeared on his screen.
RELOAD! RELOAD!
"Out of bullets already?" Lincoln groaned in annoyance. Lynn smirked at her brother. I told you Stinkoln. She thought amused with herself. I NEVER lose. You should've never joined the game in the first place. But instead of looking worried, Lincoln pulled out the motorcycle handle device. "Looks like you're up." He smiled. "That's the Boost buckle!" Lynn gasped at the sight of it. "How come he has it?!" Soulburner exclaimed. Meanwhile, Lincoln had removed the Magnum buckle from his Desire Driver and slotted in the Boost buckle.
SET!
The white armour seemed to loosen on Lincoln as he struck the pose from earlier and snapped his fingers. SNAP! He grabbed the Boost buckle's handle and revved it. The white armour dispersed from his upper body as red and silver armour took its place. Lynn and Lana blinked as if they needed a double take on what happened.
BOOST! READY? FIGHT!
"Alright, now bring it!" Lincoln said charging at the monster. The monster reared its ugly head and swung at Lincoln who fired a blast of energy from his hands that hit it. Lincoln smiled, pleased that he was making progress. He shot another blast at the monster that hit it in the chest. Lana was impressed by her brother's skills. But the monster swung at Lincoln with its leg. But before it could hit him, Lincoln caught it. "Whoa! Watch it with the tank treads pal!" He joked as he threw his opponent into the rubble of what once was Miss Liza's Pageant Training Center. The monster picked itself up and roared at Lincoln. "Oh come on! You deserved it!" He said as he inserted the Magnum buckle into the right side of the Desire Driver.
SET!
Once again Lincoln struck the pose and snapped his fingers. SNAP! He revved the Boost Buckle and spun the barrel on the Magnum buckle and pulled the trigger. This time, the Magnum armour attached itself to Lincoln's legs giving him a fully armoured look.
DUAL ON! GET READY FOR BOOST AND MAGNUM! READY? FIGHT!
Lincoln smiled as he checked out his new armour. Lynn on the other hand was feeling a bit jealous about her brother being able to use two different buckles. Lincoln revved the Boost Buckle and spun the barrel on the Magnum buckle and pulled the trigger ready to finish the job.
BOOST TIME!
The monster tried to get out of the rubble but it was too late. Lincoln was propelled into the sky by his armour. As soon as he was at optimal altitude he revved the Boost Buckle and spun the barrel on the Magnum buckle and pulled the trigger one more time.
MAGNUM! BOOST! GRAND VICTORY!
Lincoln thrust out his foot at the monster as he was propelled forward by his armour. The monster tried to escape but it was too late. Lincoln kicked the monster and landed as it exploded. But no one noticed the golden gear that flew out of the place where it had been. No one except for Kaiba who picked it up. He was impressed by Lincoln's victory. He looked at the gear in his hand. In the middle of it, there was a picture of a red and blue superhero with the year 2017 next to it. "Huh, not bad." Kaiba said looking at Lincoln who had picked himself up. "Not bad at all." He checked the scoreboard and saw that Lincoln had the highest score. "The God of Desire descends!" Kaiba said as Lincoln's picture appeared behind him. "Lincoln Loud is the winner of the 35th Desire Grand Prix!" Mokuba rolled his eyes in disbelief. "Ugh, I knew I shouldn't have bet on Lynn!" He groaned. "Quiet!" Kaiba snapped. He looked at Lincoln who looked like he was really happy about his win. "There's something special about him. We must bring him back." He turned to his brother. "Invite him to dinner."
Lincoln couldn't believe his ears when he heard the results. "I won? Yes, I won!" He cheered in triumph. He was gonna be the one who got his ideal world. Lynn on the other hand was furious. "No way!" She yelled in anger. "Stinkoln beat me?!" Lincoln walked over to her, extending his hand for a shake. "Good game Lynn!" He said happily. "I'm looking forward to the next round." Lynn just shrugged as she shook her brother's hand. "Meh, you just got lucky, that's all." She said with a matter-of-fact tone. "I'll get you next time." Lincoln just laughed as he walked off.
"Wait!" Lana called out to her siblings who turned to her. "What's going on here?" Lola on the other hand was too upset about the destruction of Miss Liza's Pageant Training Center to notice that the fight was over. Lincoln smiled at his sisters as he brushed off the Boost buckle. "It's a game." He said in a confident tone. "This destruction is a game?" Lana asked confused. Lola sobbed even harder. "My pageant career is over!" She cried. Lincoln walked over to her and gave his little sister a hug. "It'll be alright, Lola." He said softly as Lola continued to cry on his armour. Lynn scoffed at his brother. He was always being sentimental when it came to Lola. "This destruction is a game?" Lana asked again. "Nope." Lincoln said as he stroked Lola's head. "It's a game to change the world." Lana looked confused by this. Lynn looked at Lincoln and gave a small cough. "Well, gotta run." Lincoln said as he put Lola down. Lana just watched as her older sister and her brother walked away from the smoking ruins of Miss Liza's Pageant Training Center. What's going on here? Lana thought to herself, unaware that things would never be the same again for their family as Lola kept on crying.
