Bony Boy goes to JJK World
Hi there, Author here. I made a huge mistake in the last chapter. I got Cocytus and Gargantua's floors wrong XD. Damn it. I'm embarrassed to admit that such a basic mistake happened. I thought Gargantua was the 5th-floor Guardian and planned to do the teleporting trick one of you guys pointed out so that Gojo didn't fight her. Ended up doing that anyway, but in the wrong order XD.
To fix that mistake I'm gonna go ahead and use the teleporting trick and make it so Gojo was sent to the fifth floor. Also, I'll bring in to play some of the plot points I was leaving for after Cocytus's layer, but no problem. What a mess I ended up in...
I'm gonna go back and change some dialogue to make this work on he previous chapter when I have the time so whoever is reading this might not have read the original version, but I'm still gonna leave this as a way to apologize for the mistake. If you read the updated version, nothing as changed, but now you know how dumb I can be XD.
Anyways, thanks for the correction and the support.
Enjoy the new chapter. Bye.
-Lots of spoilers on JJK read at your own risk.-
Yuta's pov
Yuta ran through the corridors killing the curses as fast as they showed themselves. He knew that with every passing minute, the chances of intercepting Yuki became smaller and smaller.
'Yuki, that bitch. She said she wanted to get rid of all cursed spirits, but there was no way of knowing the amount of damage she'll cause to the world by working alongside Ainz. Even if what she says is true, wouldn't that mean the death of Ainz himself once she gets her way? Or is he going to be immune to that wish? ' Yuta thought as he turned a corner.
'Ainz must have some sort of binding vow with her for Yuki to even entertain the idea of working for him. She isn't dumb. This means Yuki must have anticipated something the possibility that Ainz could betray her in the end or maybe just go doing awful things after they're done so she must have placed limitations on him, but even so... I wonder whether someone as strong as he's supposed to be can even be bound in the first place with a regular contract. Maybe he found a way to break it or he doesn't care what happens to him after he betrays her. Either way, I must put an end to this. The amount of power Ainz could get out of this game it's too great for anyone to have. ' Yuta thought as he sliced through a Doom Lord who was riding on a Soul Eater.
To Hakari, this enemy was almost impossible to defeat and if not for his luck he would have been dead by now, but for Yuta, they were a piece of cake. Even though the extra stats provided by the Soul Eater meant that Doom Lord could barely follow Yuta's movements, the undead was not capable of reacting in time.
With a single motion, Yuta unsheathed his blade and placed it horizontally to the side. He then jumped over the undead's charge tilting the blade upward slightly and once he was sure that he had the correct edge alignment, Yuta pulled the blade diagonally slicing through both the horse and the undead.
They both continued forwards, Yuta placed his blade back in the scabbard as he continued with his mission of finding Yuki while the curses took a few extra steps before falling on the floor. The bodies soon disappeared leaving no traces that combat ever took place there and Yuta quickly moved on to the next undead.
He repeated that same pattern for a good while leaving behind an empty path that lead to the exit. Yuta continued running and running not knowing that Yuki had already found him. She was around 50 meters away from him.
Unlike Yuta, Yuki did not need to fight against any curses on the floor, they would just ignore her as she walked around the maze. But that didn't mean she held too much of an advantage, not only was she carrying two different people, Yuji and Jumpei, but she also knew that by using her cursed techniques she could bring unwanted attention to her, just like what happened with Yuta.
Yuki was able to figure out where Yuta was simply because of the noise he made and the speed at which he moved. Their spawn points were very close to each other which meant that she knew someone was fighting nearby and thanks to how fast battle changed locations she knew it had to be someone strong.
With that information in mind and with a few lucky guesses as to where they were heading next, Yuki was able to visually spot the jujutsu sorcerer taking care of a few curses. 'Keep your friend close... ' Yuki thought as she decided to follow behind him while searching for the exit.
Since she didn't have to fight the guardian once she found the room. Yuki assumed all she needed to do would be to walk through the door and teleport to the 4th layer even if they still hadn't taken care of the guardian, of course, she didn't know that there was no more guardian on the 3rd layer.
Yuta continued running ahead. He occasionally would turn his head back thinking that he might have heard something. The creeping feeling that something was following him was confirmed a few times as some Doom Lords would end up catching up to him once he stopped to look around or when he had hit a dead end, but that was nothing he couldn't handle.
Eventually, after a lot of fighting and running. Yuta reached a stopping point in his mind. He was now in front of the guardian's room and looking at the teleporting zone further ahead. 'Someone already beat the guardian... Gojo? Either he was the one who did it who he's already on the 4th layer... ' Yuta thought as he entered the room. After pacing inside for a few moments he turned his head to the door.
'Now that I know the 4th layer is available there is only one question left to answer. Did Yuka already pass through here or is she still in the 3rd layer... ' Yuta took a deep breath as he tried to figure out the most probable scenario.
'Yuki was at least a solid 10 seconds ahead of me, but we didn't have maps for the 3rd layer... no maps for the 4th layer either so she could still be here looking. The spawn location is random too so it's just as likely that she didn't pass yet. ' Yuta walked to the door leading to the 4th layer. He placed his hands on the door and slowly started pushing them together.
'If she passed through here already then I have to get to the 4th layer right now, but did she? We were always around the same pace in the maze before so it's not out of the question that it's the same now. ' Yuta was about to close the door when he felt something pushing it open.
He quickly looked down and saw a curse coming out of his shadow. Yuta jumped backward to avoid the creature's grasp, but the enemy was not alone. Right before his feet left the floor, Yuta felt a powerful push coming from his back.
The door was forced open by the shadowy curse when Yuta tried to run away and thanks to the push, Yuta found himself inside the teleporting zone. He quickly turned around and right before disappearing he saw Yuki.
"Go to the next layer already you jerk. " Yuki said while she had her tongue poking out while she flipped him off.
Yuta tried to go after her when he suddenly vanished. "Ha ha ha. Nice job, Shadow Demon. Though you could have helped out a bit earlier." Yuki said while she walked back to grab the other two people she had to carry around.
Shadow Demon was created to roam around the layers where most players were and while he knew about Yuki's goal he didn't have to go out of his way to help her. Until now, his only actions were to try to gather as many curses around the players while he slowly crept around them. He was basically just bait for the other curses.
Being a summon not focused on combat, he couldn't fight the player directly, but he could make their life a bit harder than it had to be. Even if it wasn't making much of anything until then, after the teams finally had enough and needed to rest, the strategy would force them to fight even harder.
Once the players moved on to the third layer, however, the mission changed. The goal was now to upset the course of the game. To control a trapped gate so that the teams could no longer assist each other properly anymore. Making it harder for them to continue the game.
He first made sure that the people leading the pack would no longer carry the players by sending them one layer ahead and then he would separate the following team even further by sending them to an even deeper layer. After that, the gate would return to normal.
" It was just chance that the jujutsu sorcerer who fell in the trap was the one that was looking for you I just happened to-" The Shadow Demon tried to say while giving a small bow to the jujutsu sorcerer, but Yuki quickly interrupted him.
"Alright then, you don't know how to take a thank you. " Yuki said.
The teleportation room wobbled a bit, both the floor and ceiling behaved as if they were made of a liquid before they finally stelled down.
"The trap has served its purpose and vanished. This will now take you to the 4th layer. Good luck. " The Shadow Demon said while pointing to the room. Yuki walked over to him while carrying her two teammates on her shoulders.
"Wait. What about Yuta? " Yuki said while raising an eyebrow.
"The jujutsu sorcerer is now on the 7th layer dealing with my master. " Shadow Demon spoke before it melted with the shadows and disappeared.
"7th layer?! He was sent that far ahead?! " Yuki asked herself as she entered the room. "Since he can't go back to a previous layer that means no more Yuta. Yeah! " Yuki screamed just as she disappeared.
Ainz's pov
Ainz saw as Yuta was pushed into the teleportation zone. Yuki soon left the 3rd layer leaving only a few other players left who were behind.
The undead overlord slowly scratched his chin as he watched Megumi and Nobara struggling against the Doom Lords. He saw Hakari barely pulling through against a Doom Lord and Soul Eater combo and soon after he turned to watch Kashimo still waiting for Sukuna in the 1st layer.
"That woman... Angel. She fucked the game with that cursed technique of hers. " Ainz said as he saw the number of players left in the game. "It's not gonna put too much of a wrench on the original plan, but it sure makes things a bit boring. " Ainz said as he looked at another monitor-like projection.
This was the only projection Ainz had that was not displaying the inside of his Domain. It was showing the inside of Jujutsu High or more accurately, it was showing Tengen's room.
Tengen was standing still with his arms crossed on his back staring at a gigantic vessel. Ainz called it the Bottomless box. It was a grey stone coffin four meters tall and two meters wide with a thickness of 2.5 meters.
The purpose of this cursed object was to store the cursed energy that Ainz collected from the game so that he couldn't use it to fight back if someone got to him before the game ended. Tengen made sure that no one knew about it, just like the binding vow dictated, but that left him with the burden of protecting it until then.
Once someone emerged victorious, the coffin would open and the cursed energy freed. Before that, however, Ainz would be forced to use his wish upon a star to bring into reality the dream of whoever won and only after a few hours had passed, Ainz would get the cursed energy delivered to him. But that's not something Ainz needed to concern himself with right now, something else was about to happen.
Ainz's eyes flashed red as he saw the notification stating that the final team entered the game. "Geto! " Ainz said as he quickly moved his hand in the air and switched the main projection to display them. He saw as Geto and a woman quickly made their way through the first layer.
They stopped to talk with Kashimo and then everyone moved on to the second layer. "So it's time already. Let's see if they are here. " Ainz turned his attention to his palm. A small punch appeared right above his hand and then fell to it.
Ainz quickly opened the pouch and said, "Hum... 16... with the one Tengen is going to give me after I win. I'll have 17 fingers. The vessel already has 3 so that means Sukuna will be complete after I feed Yuji these. " Ainz said as he placed the pouch in his inventory.
"Now I just have to wait until the game ends to face Sukuna... he's supposed to be the king of curses. My chances of winning are... hard to measure. That's why I wanted some extra help from Geto, Tengen, and Yuki. The extra cursed energy will come in hand too, but still..." Ainz said as he once again rested his head over his hand. " I wonder if this was the best way to do this... "
