Kitt was pleased that Bonnie was coming around to Karr's side.
Kitt had Michael, of course. And Bonnie and Devon. Melissa, too. He could even reach out to April, if he wanted. But none of them truly understood him.
They each understood a part of him, seeing something in him that spoke to them. To Michael, Kitt was his trusted partner, who had proven himself time and again. To Bonnie, Kitt was a sophisticated piece of engineering, who needed high-end technical support. To Devon, Kitt was a marvel, who had been developed by his closest friend. To April, Kitt was a technological advancement, who served as a platform for innovative devices.
Melissa was probably the person who came closest to understanding Kitt. And he did have a good rapport with her. But she did view him as one of her father's greatest legacies. Possibly counting him even before Melissa herself.
But only Karr could truly understand Kitt. Just as only Kitt could truly understand Karr.
