Tattoo: A Surprise Encounter
Draco's Birthday Part 2
Draco did his best to get himself submerged in the water before Granger could see what seeing her body did to him. The water was swirling and bubbling and if he could just get himself below the surface then he could maintain some dignity. She wasn't his witch yet, she might think that such a physical reaction to her body was untoward.
She was distracted by popping the bottle of Champagne, so he thought that he'd been successful, but what he didn't count on was her turning around and the way her breasts were barely covered with the tiny triangles of fabric. He could barely breathe and then she handed him his flute. He couldn't seem to push the words to thank her out of his mouth, but then his eyes traced down her torso to the bright purple scar there and the surprising tattoo in the centre of her chest beneath her breasts.
"What's that?" Draco asked, finding his voice again, gesturing towards the tattoo.
"Oh Dolohov got me with a curse in the Department of Mysteries back in fifth year. The healers thought the colouring would fade with time, but no such luck." She seemed a little self-conscious about it and turned her arm in towards herself so he couldn't see the word his aunt had carved there.
"Well one more reason that I'm glad he's dead then, but I was actually wondering about the tattoo," Draco corrected her, not wanting her to feel awkward around him. It had all been going so well, he couldn't believe that he'd already managed to mess things up. He gestured to his own chest bisected by Potter's sectumsempra. "It's not as though I don't have scars of my own from the war, but other than this thing," he touched the Dark Mark. "I don't think I've seen any tattoos up close."
"Oh," She smiled, the tension immediately leaving her. She slid into the water, sitting the bottle and her glass on the edge. Moving so close to him that she had to spread her legs over his, she lifted her breasts up so that he could get a closer look. He hoped that she thought that the blush on his cheeks was from the hot water.
"Is that …a time turner?" Draco asked, his fingers and tongue desperate to taste her inked skin.
"Yes," Granger smiled, pulling back away from him to grab her glass. He almost grabbed her waist and pulled her fully onto his lap, but he took a sip of his own Champagne instead. She sipped hers. And then looked at him, "Cheers Draco. Happy birthday." She tapped her flute to his.
"Thank you Granger. Cheers." Draco smiled at the beautiful witch, who'd made this birthday so special. "But I have to know, why a time turner?"
Her tinkling laugh was music to his ears. "It's a bit of a long story."
"We have a bottle of Champagne, a wonderful view and all night, Hermione." Draco downed the last of his first glass and then moved closer to her so that he could refill it.
He couldn't help but notice how she blushed at his use of her first name.
Her pupils were large when she met his eyes. "So we do." Her pink tongue wet her lips and Draco couldn't take it anymore, he grabbed her waist and pulled her to him, stealing a taste of Champagne from her lips. She dropped her glass into the water, her arms coming around his neck as she kissed him back with fervour. Draco had never felt this kind of passion. His heart felt as though it would explode out of his chest. Her body was against his, the water swirled around them, the lights of Nantes all around and they moaned into each other's mouths.
