Amphitrite has to admit it

It was rather impressive of her husband to break his Oath upon Styx's sacred name (really. What happened to old days where Styx's name is feared and respected, where they are dancing around saying her name and the oath upon that name are not just unbreakable but also reinforced?).

Impressive and foolish.

And as usual, someone else is going to pay penance for his sin.

Wonder if this time the child only suffers his father's sin or will he pay for mistakes he makes himself?

Well. Maybe that's why Fates give her a strange gift, to have Prophetic Dream about her stepson. Can see, cannot be seen, heard or interact with anyone.

The young demigod is too small and most likely underfed. Amphitrite wonder if his mother has anything to do with it…? Or not. He seems to genuinely grieving. Unless there's psychological factor involved (children can be such a biased being at times). Though Amphitrite won't ruled out mortal step-parent.

Amphitrite has nose. She is not Satyr, but she is a Naiad. A water Nymph. She can smell mortal scent just fine. And her stepson is cloaked with a thick one, enough to cover Big Three scent even if just barely (if it was anyone else child, they would be undistinguished until their power manifested in such spectacular way that even mist has hard time covering it). Yuck. What a mortal smell.

The denial and slow at accepting the new reality is annoying. But considering they said her stepson had just recovering from losing his mortal parent… well. Amphitrite suppose she can give him some leeway. At least this one has love to his mortal family, unlike few she could name of who would abandon theirs the second they find out "they were meant for greater things" or similar spiel.

…the camp's welcoming is raking up complain list, though.

No. Amphitrite did not demand they to bow to him or hold a feast in his name or something. Chaos know that would blow his ego to Zeus' level. But surely some basic review and giving vital information should be in the table? You can just say "welcome to Myth world. Assume what came from Greek Myth is alive and real. Now shoo, go away"! At least tell about the cabin and whom they belong! The Iris Message! Location of Olympus! Those are basics! BASICS!

(Suddenly her husband's opinion to take his mortal children to their underwater palace sounds better than it initially does… at least they can ensure the child got proper education rather than throwing him to the sharks.)

Seeing the camp with her own eyes is interesting. She wished she can greet Lady Hestia (and is it just her or did her stepson's eyes trained to the Goddess of Hearth for a moment?); rolled her eyes at the pretentiousness of Zeus and Hera—it was even reflected in their cabins, for Chaos' name! Her husband's cabin has lovely and homey interior, but feels… sad. Depressing even.

Well. Her husband has been depressed starting two days ago. Getting accused for a theft he never commits and worrying about his mortal son's fate must be taking toll on his psyche.

Cabin 11 is…

Uh…

Amphitrite cringes seeing the state inside.

Her poor nephew…! Those pitiful children…!

Someone go call Hecate or Hephaestus (or better yet, BOTH!) to do their magic in bigger-inside-smaller-outside space-bending! These children are sleeping like packed sardines! How could Chiron and Dionysus let this be?! Had it was her, she would ensure every child got proper bed! Even if she has demigod she dislike just because, that doesn't mean she gonna deny them the basic necessity like proper bed!

Ugh…! This camp start to irritates her.

Then Athena's child forcibly drag her stepson out and chew him out because he ask a normal question, seeing he wasn't told anything.

At this, Amphitrite sighed. Of course this would happen. Athena passed her gene in "the need to be the smartest than anyone else" as well "talking using jargon that leave others in the dust" to her children after all.

Then as if things cannot get any worse, Ares' daughter had to come in.

Amphitrite sighed at her stepson is plagued with Open-Mouth-Insert-Foot Disease, just like many of his demigod siblings. Well. A little mean "initiation" from Ares' child should do the trick to nip the arrogance before—

Nevermind. Shoving head to toilet is disgusting. This one going to end in pain. Or humiliation.

With how her stepson use his power to broke the damn pipe and showered everyone with water, be it toilet water or bath water, well. Guess now she know what her stepson is choosing.

…She doesn't like Athena's spawn gaze. That manipulative look she got from her mother. It never ends well.

.

"I don't recommend you to claim your son too soon."

Poseidon paused. "Pardon?"

Amphitrite swirled the wine in her glass. "You have one, don't you? He's using his power to knock down Ares' children and one of Athena earlier. That is ground for claiming, but considering the Prophecy hanging over our head, and with the missing Master Bolt, plus losing his mother, you should let him have some reprieve to adapt with new normal."

Poseidon blinked, before stiffened. "Percy… he is giving me sacrifice…?"

"Why won't he be?" Amphitrite raised a well-manicured eyebrow. "It's dinnertime for mortal isn't it?"

Her husband is muttering things now.

"...not possible... dead... how..."

Here she is being nice and this is how he repaid her? How rude.

Her newest stepson better not inherit this!
