Addison Pov:
"Spring time, it's always a good season for new things to come as well grow. More importantly for anything to happen, things have been right now alright ever since Valentines Day. But still, I've been getting a feeling that something's wrong. Lately whenever I look outside of the sky at night there's something flying, with how much goes on in town and with Revenant and his friends. It could be anything, but ever since the last problem which involved a giant Christmas tree. Nothing has been going on that revolves around either life threatening or even a new monster in town causing any kind of commotion. So whatever this might be has to either be a new person in town, or a problem. Maybe it can be resolved with some talking, I hope."
Addison's Neighborhood-Night Time
It was a peaceful night in the human part of Seabrook, all the houses lights were on along everyone within was either enjoying the comfort of one another. Or possibly that of getting a good night's sleep with how it was a average day in the town. Not everyone was asleep, walking down on the sidewalk was both Addison and Bree who decided to check up on this mysterious 'sighting' within the sky. The two girls had flashlights as well decided to do a bit of investigation.
"Addison? While I do enjoy a good walk at night, this feels rather dangerous. Maybe we should get your dad since he's head chief in the zombie patrol. Which is now possibly just patrol since they help out with most of the towns problems?"
Sounding rather worried since from what Addison described to her, the unidentified object was fast. Came only at night as well came whizzing about around this part of town. As well made a eerie sound with several people noticing and being told they were just seeing things.
"Yes but my dad has been busy with getting some zombies new jobs around the town. Besides, we can't always ask for help now a days. Besides, it's been a while since we did things together."
Addison responding to her friend who looked as well felt nervous for doing this with her, seeing how Bree wasn't much of the adventurous girl like her friend and the others. However it was nice to be with her friend since most of the times both of them had been doing several things such as Addison helping out with the monster society club at school and Bree at cheer practice as she was becoming much as amazing as Addison was.
"Well yeah, when it involves hanging out at the mall. Doing homework assignments and also talking about what happens after high school, but this seems a bit. Risky."
Admitting that while hanging out with Addison was always fun and exciting since they've been friends for a long time. Though sometimes in these types of moments, it was hard to be curious in the unknown seeing how much there was to the outside world behind the limits of Seabrook.
"But that's the thing, we always need to go to that uncarted area. Since it's the reason why we're both going to be attending the first ever national cheer off competition."
Expressing much of a excited manner of that in a couple of months, there was a competition between several other cheer teams from across the town. Much less that of meeting different cheerleaders that haven't been in a town like Seabrook. It was much to think about, though the moment was interrupted by the sound of a item falling onto the ground.
"What was that?"
Bree noticing the sound falling as the two aimed their lights near that of a lamp pole. Where they noticed a couple of trash cans tossed to the sides along of possibly a few bushes trampled. Walking over they took a look as well investigated what might have happened here.
"Maybe that's the mystery object that's been coming across the neighborhood."
Addison suggesting as the two looked around the sight to try and find any clues to what made the trash cans fall onto the ground. Being the curious one, Addison tried to look for any foot prints or that of a object that might have fallen off the person.
"Or maybe someone responsible for making people thing there's something coming by the houses."
Trying to figure out what was going on while for Bree, kept up her wits about her not taking a moment to calm herself since this felt rather tense since the atmosphere around them is both mysterious and frightening. The glasses wearing girl keeping the flashlight close, before taking a moment of relaxation the whizzing sound came back.
"Addison? I think that 'object' your talking about is.."
Just as Bree was about to finish her sentence, above the light pole was a flash passing by the light bulb right above them. Both girls looked up seeing the fast object as well it gliding over them, the two took a moment where they saw it for a split second where it was wearing that of a sheet over it.
"There!"
Pointing towards it as Addison gave chase towards it not knowing what it might be, while Bree was nervous about going after this flying object. Could see Addison not giving up without figuring out what this thing was.
"Wait for me!"
Shouting out at her friend not knowing what this might be, as well not desiring to see Addison hurt. The white haired girl tried to catch up with the cloaked being, as well how it was whizzing threw the air like a bird. The two began to run after it trying their best to catch up to it.
"This has to be either a bird covered in a drape or a hawk. Cause it's really fast."
Bree announcing to Addison as it seemed they wouldn't be able to catch it in time. Though for Addison's sake she wanted to try and stop it as well see what it was. The cloaked object made a quick turn down that of the block where it arrives at a small store. Both girls had managed to catch up to the object, as well Addison noticing it was hiding in the dark.
"Wait. We're not trying to hurt you, we just want to try and talk."
Trying to calm the strange thing that was flying around the neighborhood left to right. Along of not knowing what it might be, either it could be a new creature in town that was either confused on where it was. Or possibly a vampire that might be lingering around and might not be with the others.
"We have a group that can help you, in which they can help find either a group you may be looking for. Or possibly help you with whatever what's wrong."
Continuing to speak to the cloaked figure as it merely floated above them as it starred at them. Both Addison and Bree looked at the mysterious object not knowing what it would do, in which it suddenly flew pass them making the two dropping to the ground seeing it going up in the night.
"Wait. Does that look like a ghost?"
Addison asking since the last time they had seen a ghost was two Halloween's ago. So it was strange to see another one, more or less that of one that looked rather 'nostalgic' with it gliding across the night.
"Guess will have to talk about it in school then."
Bree suggesting since it was still a school night, more or less that everyone was right now asleep. So they couldn't wake them up now, so for the mean time they would only have to gather up the information they had just known and saw as well explain what had happened. As well see if Revenant or the others could figure out what this 'thing' is.
Next Day-Seabrook High School
In the morning back at the school was lunch hour, outside of the school was Revenant and Zed hanging out by the football field talking about their last year of high school since they were practically now seniors. Revenant, apparently heard some rather interesting news from what Zed had explained from him.
"College? Really? That's quite the tall order and especially for a scholarship due to your atheistic skills. Your a sure fit."
Congratulating his friend on heading out to where he could sure other humans that zombies aren't all monsters. Especially that this one was a all star football player, Zed smiled seeing how the praise was much appreciated.
"Hey don't give me any credit. You helped out, which is why I think you should come with me. Two zombies along with Addison and Wynter? Will be the talk of the college grounds."
Offering him a chance to come with him since it was likely possible that it be good to leave Seabrook and explore new territories. While the idea was good, more or less the path of every young adult to attending college. Revenant, had mixed feelings about the choice.
"As much as I would. Along possibly like to see what college is like, I just can't."
Responding to Zed with one sentence and making confirmation about his choice in remaining Seabrook. Zed, was rather surprised about the choice of looking over the town.
"Really? That's kind of a surprise with how things have been. I thought you'd explore the outside, see what other types of strange and unusual things that could be out there."
Suggesting that while Seabrook has gotten a rather an unusual welcoming of individuals that have come to down. Out there of town was much more, along that it could expand upon Revenant's education as well possibly share it with others. However there seemed to be something on Revenant's mind. More or less that he had a reason remaining in Seabrook and not going off to continue his life.
"Yeah, but this town has seen so much. Suffered so much, with a past that still hasn't forgotten it's wounds. As well has several problems still coming it's way."
Expressing how that the history of human and zombie conflict here was still strong, more or less that it was still a challenge for both sides to try and be well together. Not to mention that this town is rather a symbol for other monsters to destroy this place because of the new bond between other species. Zed, smiling to his friends commitment here was still worried about the last part he mention.
"You know many people talk about that, like in those movies. 'The oncoming storm awaits' or 'the fire is coming'. That type of thing, how sure are you that it might happen?"
Zed questioning about that common trait of to expect the worst that is to come, rather more than to prepare to fight. Though for a while nothing has happened, in which was it because the beings that threatened Seabrook now know it was protected. Or was it that Revenant desired for conflict to come his way so he could have a purpose in being the 'protector'.
"I don't know, whether it's from what turned the tree into a singing splinter monster. Or possibly because whenever I sleep, this thing is always glowing."
Informing his friend about the necklace that Baba Yaga had given him, which has been a warning sign for any threats coming. For a while it's been silent, along of merely worn as a accessory in which people think it's strange. However it apparently had another purpose in which only he knew.
"Last night, I see it glow. Not because of the people we have locked in the big house, not because of the fact there zombies and werewolves living in Seabrook. I look at it, and it glows. Keeps going on each night, I don't know why. But it means something, and it's telling me to be ready."
Describing what happens when he removes the skull like necklace, it shows a glow that warns him. More or less has him nervous about what might happen, Zed could see how serious he seemed as well the truth was in his words. Sure enough, with how that sounded. Revenant believed that there was something coming.
"You know it's never a good thing to want this type of trouble. Because it sometimes can backfire, and we both know from experience."
Telling Rev as Zed knew about how much he wanted to get something he desired, whether it was becoming a football player for the school or possibly school president. Has lead to rather traumatic moments, the two remained silent before hearing some footsteps coming by which was both Addison and Bree who were able to find them here.
"Zed, Rev. Good we found you, there's something happening lately. And I think we might need someone who can handle it, maybe a bit of help would be alright?"
Addison asking the two seeing how Sentinel wasn't aware of this since it didn't involve any imminent threat. Zed, merely shock his head at this moment Revenant might be wanting. However it didn't seem to bad, in which Revenant would have to figure out what this 'something' is going on.
Addison's Neighborhood-Afternoon
Just as they finished school and headed to Zed's girlfriend's street. They walked to the scene of the crime where the girls followed after the flying object, Revenant was kneeling down at the garbage can spot along near the light poll. Having several items on his jacket, he was doing some 'detective' work. Meanwhile for the others, Zed and Addison were discussing about last night.
"So maybe it's confused, that's just my case. Along how it looked like those cartoon ghosts. You know with the white sheets over themselves and acting silly."
She explained her case about what happened leaving Zed to be rather glad this wasn't unordinary, more or less life threatening. Still, it was strange that it happen here and not in zombie town.
"How come this place is always busy with the strange, zombie town no problem but here? Feels a bit like quite the place to get noticed right?"
Zed making a joke with Addison seeing that there wasn't that much unusual going on in his part of town. The white haired girl nodded since these sightings have mostly happen here, which made no sense but more or less seemed rather random.
"Still. It's a bit exciting right? Trying to find something unusual and strange? Always something to do when things get a bit boring here don't it?"
She said to Zed as the zombie couldn't help but smile at Addison's optimism nature in this since while it could be dull here in Seabrook. It was sometimes good to do something that was both different and unique, which Zed could agree when it didn't involve moments where the town and people are in danger. At the light poll where Rev was still investigating, Bree looked a bit nervous seeing how the glass wearing zombie was still doing his investigation.
"Revenant? Not trying to sound a bit nervous or to freaked out but, could this small thing be attached to a big thing?"
Curious about that when it comes to seeing something small like a mouse or even a bird, it's usually a false look in which reality is both big and terrifying. Finishing the investigation, Rev merely showed a confident smile on his face to Bree which caught her off by surprise.
"No. It's not, because. Whatever passed these cans was in fact, a normal guy. However, there seems to be something strange. He wasn't alone."
Explaining to Bree about might have come by here, further more showing on the ground was that of some light footprints meaning the person wasn't alone. They were light pressed more or less showing that it had to be a group here.
"Sneakers, scent of gum and possibly grass. Has to be someone from school, otherwise I think we may some type of group playing a prank on us."
Figuring out what might be actually going on since if it was sneakers and gum, it had to be from the school. As they continued to think about it, they heard the whizzing sound coming by. More or less that of it right above the four, leaving them to look at to lord and behold. Was the cloaked figure as it hovered above them. Looking at the cloaked figure, it remained over them.
"Found it. Now what do we do?"
Zed asking that with them looking for the mysterious object, now they were trying to figure out what might be going on. While they looked at the cloaked figure, Rev gestured to the others to remain calm and not move to much.
"Well. In this type of experience I have to suggest we should appeal to it's nature, come to an agreement seeing we need to settle this in a mature manner."
Talking a bit as well trying to act rather diplomatic, but shows a small hand gesture over to Zed in grabbing that of a garbage can lid by the side. Bree, was nervous as well looked at the cloaked figure and tried to keep the conversation going as she noticed Revenant planning something.
"Right. I mean when people come to Seabrook, everyone's here for a good time. Maybe we can introduce you to the Froyo stand that's open up, be perfect for a person like yourself."
Offering a smile as Zed was careful enough to grab the lid, in which he might have a idea on what Rev might be planning. Sure enough, Addison noticed and decided to go along and distract it long enough for the plan to conclude.
"And not to mention the sports. Our athlete's are quite spectacular, especially our latest addition of zombies."
Finishing her sentence as Zed took the opportunity and hurls the garbage can like a frisbee right to the cloaked figure. The throw was able to knock it off it's hovering balance leaving Revenant the chance to grab it right at the last second. Using his arms he makes sure that he tightens his grip. Taking the moment, Addison rushed over and remove the cloak where all in surprise it was a drone.
"What in the heck?"
Zed asking a bit surprised and confused on something using a drone and a cloak which looked like a rather fresh set of bed spread to make it look like a strange figure. They were clueless about what this meant, however Revenant. Decided to try and break it so the real 'being' could come out before it was broken.
"Wait! Please don't break it cost a lot of money!"
Shouted a voice coming from the bushes, in which the four looked to see a rather surprising sight. Which was Bucky's favorite cheerleader gang, the Acey's. Which had Stacey, Jacey and lastly Lacey coming out with a worried expression on their faces about the drone. Rev, merely chuckled at the sight of the three having a idea this had to be from them.
"And by money, it might be possibly revolving around freaking people out with this wannabe ghost act?"
Responding to them seeing how they had to be the ones behind this stunt, more or less that there had to be something behind this. In which the four waited for a reason behind this strange act which seemed out of character, especially for the likes of them.
"It was a bit of a joke, Lacey had gotten this drone after doing some chores and Stacey this brand new sheet that hasn't been used. And with everyone acting freaked out with these strange moments, we thought we could have a bit of fun."
Jacey explaining about why they wanted to do this, along of wanting to have a bit of fun at the same time. However at the expense of getting people rather nervous that something might be going about the neighborhood.
"Well next time, or wait maybe not next time. Think about others before doing a prank like this, because Revenant might have broken it or possibly brought in Sentinel to figure this out."
Addison advising them that this could have gotten them in trouble, or possible have her father get them to do community service for this type of mischief. The three nodded to her making sure to not try this type of thing again, leaving them to smile about how this was handled with no trouble or any type of dramatic moment.
"Maybe we should get some Froyo then? There's a new recipe that I've been wanting to try out."
Zed suggesting to everyone to lighten the mood as everyone seem to agree with it. Leaving them to head off to get some yogurt as well talk about this trick the cheerleaders have pulled off. While for Revenant, smiling that maybe just before thinking about something evil and grave might be coming, it was possibly good to enjoy the moment that he had with his friends.
"April Fools! Thought it be something serious didn't ya? Don't worry, that type of stuff will be coming down the line. We just have to wait a little bit longer, hope to get some more information on 'Z3' soon. Until then, see you soon and have a good spring!"
