Nightwing Pov:

"Humans term for sea folk is either mermaids or sirens due to their popularity, though the real term for them is Merfolk which covers both male and female genders. Except merfolk often share several aquatic life qualities that give them advantages such as whale strength, extra limbs and the occasional tails for those who wish to swim fast. They often stay in the darkest parts of the water to avoid human attention, preferable the unknown regions that not even the sturdiest of machines could venture into due to the depths of the water. I never imagined them here and up at arms, meaning Seabrook might have done something to them. Which isn't necessarily new for this town's past."

Seabrook Boardwalk

Thinking that the day would finally have peace and no type of trouble, Nightwing's moment came to pass with the arrival of a race of aquatic beings that he'd never imagined would come to the surface world. Everyone was surrounded by the aquatic beings that were armed with tridents and different manners of weaponry that represented their clan. The armor could be related to Rome due to how their stance was firm and glaring at each of the people near the stage, everyone didn't know how to react to this presence.

"Pardon me? I'm the mayor of the town. Mallory and I'd like to say welcome, but I believe what you're doing right now isn't exactly friendly."

Doing her best to act bravely since every time a new species of monsters or unknown would come to town she'd let either Sentinel or the children handle the matter. This time she wanted to try it as the human mayor looked over to the merwoman that was by Zoey and took a moment to look at Mallory. Staring at the human mayor showing both intimidation and fear, she spun her trident around several times before aiming it at her face to see how Mallory would react. It merely had her pass out due to how close it was to her face.

"Guess this where I step in."

Revenant stated behind the drums as he stood up and gave Wynter a kiss on the cheek before heading off to meet with the possible leader of the aquatic folk. His friends saw him walking forward to the others and to Mallory making sure if the woman wanted to aim a weapon at anyone, he should be him.

"Suppose you're not here for the show, right?"

Questioning the trident wielding warrior as she merely locked eyes with his green standing her ground as the other merfolk were standing at the ready to either stand down or attack. Everyone was worried about what could happen, except there was hustling from behind the group as it was Addison trying to stand between the merwoman and Revenant trying to provide a conflict from happening.

"Hang on. Maybe we should try to speak first, right?"

Suggesting to the two before a fight could start it was the usual way to handle things and she hope it could be different from the previous encounters like with the werewolves and aliens. What made this different was how the merwoman began speaking an unknown language that no one could understand. Realizing how this would be an issue Addison gestured to A-Spen leaving the alien leader to understand what she requested of them.

"Do you have something that can help us out here?"

Zed asked his girlfriend who was curious about what she was up to as A-Spen walked over presenting her a small food piece that they presented to the female warrior. Inspecting the small piece of food, she could tell by the smell it was edible as she quickly eats it in one bite. The two zombie boys still looked confused about Addison having gestured to A-Spen and required an explanation.

"While traveling with your girlfriend, Addison offered many ways to meet new people. Such as offering sweets, except this one was design to help translate any type of unrecognizable language in order establish communication."

Explaining what Addison had given the woman as Zed and Revenant could tell from the snack that the water woman was eating started to affect her. The other merfolk saw this act and thought they had poisoned her, except the warrior stopped them before they could attack the residents. Straightening her throat and taking a moment to realize the taste, her eyes looked at the others to now hear the muttering amongst the people now able to recognize them.

"How is this possible."

Questioning Addison as she could speak English, which was impossible due to being cut off from the surface and avoiding human attention. They had forgotten to use their language and had made their own. Addison was happy enough to explain it but saw the looks from Zed and Revenant on her being careful about what she said to her.

"It's a small snack that helps strengths the part of the brain that interprets language. When you ate the candy, it helped strengthen that part which is allowing you to understand us."

Slowly explaining what she had given her as the merwoman looked at the others who seemed to be frightened by the arrival of the aquatic beings. Realizing how they could have a proper conversation and understand the surface dwellers, she commands her forces to calm themselves as they did so. Bowing her head in respect for this gift of language to Addison, everyone could see that the merfolk wasn't going to try attacking them.

"I am Miriam. Warrior of the dark sea's, this my people the Ceto's. We were awakened by the singing that was coming from the surface, we've heard the voice before but thought it was lost."

Introducing herself and the other merfolk that was standing around them which left most of the people still nervous how there apparently was an underwater tribe living right across from Seabrook. It made Revenant concerned since Wynter was responsible for the singing, Brit could tell from the look in his eyes concern for his werewolf's safety as she quickly decided to take the blame.

"Why thank you, I mean I don't exactly sing that much but to have an aquatic tribe of what resembles Spartans praise my voice is amazing."

Acknowledging Miriam for talking about her singing leaving the blonde hair woman to stare at her with an unamused look for suggesting she was the singer. Amongst the merfolk, one of them spoke in her native tongue leaving her and the others to stare at the stage where Wynter was still speechless at what was happening. Willa and the werewolves rushed up to the stage going straight in front of their pack mate and showed their claws and fangs toward the merfolk.

"Whatever your thinking, don't try it. Seriously don't."

Willa warned the aquatic people as she snarled at them as well as the other werewolves preparing to protect Wynter from whatever plans they had in mind. Except what they did was unexpected to even the aliens, the merfolk got onto their knees to bow for Wynter.

"Is this how your aquatic creatures show their respect?"

Apex questions Zed due to him being the welcoming zombie unlike Rev would be suspicious and would check what they might be up to. Zed didn't know how to react at the moment. More importantly Revenant who was watching how an underwater race was bowing to his girlfriend, not Willa who was the leader of the wolf pack but Wynter.

"What's going on exactly?"

Zed questioning about what Miriam's people were doing as they were worshipping Wynter like a savior. Miriam looked at the zombie boy with a glare on how he responded to what was happening. Walking over passing by her people the merwoman bends a knee greeting Wynter in a respecting manner towards her, which made the wolf girl smile how she was being acknowledged by a monster race that wasn't trying to mess with her or her friends.

"Mighty white wolf, we thank you for freeing us from our slumber. We are in your debt."

Informing her about what she did during the performance and mistakenly freeing them with her singing. Wynter merely accepted it seeing how this was the first time she might have done something that was this big, while the others were about to question what Miriam meant by Wynter freeing the merfolk. They heard a sudden tapping on the ground as they noticed amongst the group an elderly with barnacles across his clothing and with a white beard showing how he seemed to be their leader.

"Indeed!"

Announcing to Miriam and the other merfolk as the elderly man walked up to the stage with the help from what an anchor designed staff. Doing his best to get on stage, the merfolk helped him up so he could get a better look at Wynter. The wolves got protective of the elderly man staring at her, to which he smiled at the wolf girl.

"She is the one who's voice awoken us! Hail to the Diva!"

Shouting to the merfolk praising Wynter for her singing as the merfolk raised their weapons in the air towards in honor for what Wynter had done for them. She however was still speechless to what was happening and how it was making her feel good. Deciding to take in the admiration she threw her hands in the air which made the merfolk cheer for her even more.

"Oh, she's got the taste of popularity now."

Revenant noticing how his girlfriend was getting acknowledged for this miracle and worried for what it could do to her. The others on the side watched at Wynter being admired like a celebrity, however much like Addison when the wolves praised her for possibly being the descendant of the white wolf. Always came a catch to the admiration from an unknown group.

Later-Seabrook City Hall

Getting Sentinel and the Z Patrol to do a full clean up around the beach and treating the agents and officers that got injured by the merfolk by accident. Several reporters were outside of the building since this was a town situation due to the water is Seabrook property, the merfolk was gathered at the building so no could stare at them. Inside was Revenant along Brit and Night wing who represented Sentinel as well the safety of the town, along with his friends Zed, Addison and Willa who had by her side Wynter A-Spen from their groups since Mallory would need the help from all species of Seabrook to handle this new arrival.

"Ok then, since my own city council don't know monster knowledge or could possibly figure out the situation with the merfolk. I ask for your help, as usual in these matters. Now tell me, are they from Seabrook's beach?"

Mallory asking them since her people at City Hall would suggest that they should send them back into the water. Yet she needed the perspective of them who've been on countless issues like this and handled it and knew how to manage it while figuring out its true purpose. Both A-Spen and Night wing were going over the merfolk from their history and if they were telling the truth about coming from the beach.

"The mothership has scanned the depths of the water and its deepest regions to find an unknown structure, it's presumably where the merfolk had come from. It's having a difficult time realizing the total structure and its size."

A-Spen giving a statement from how their ship was able to pinpoint of what appeared to be the merfolk's point of origin. Yet having challenge to determine to see what exactly the aquatic beings lived in. Night wing had books on aquatic races and different types of nautical stories that been told across the world, along other parts that humans didn't know about.

"From what I've been able to father from them, their people are called the Ceto's. Their culture is based off Rome tactics as well the armor they wear resembling soldiers and gladiators. Most stories told about them were how they defended their own island; however, they were swept away by an unnatural storm. I thought they were extinct."

The fruitpire expressing both curiosity and uncertainty about the merfolk were proud warriors that didn't let any humans attack their home. Only to let nature do them over and drown them into the ocean, never to be heard from civilization or history for a long time. Most of them felt sorry for how they vanished right off the face of the earth only to appear out of the blues from the waters of their beach.

"Well from how good their listening was it seems they're back and lively than ever."

Zed making the situation rather bright since this should be good for them to come back to a new century where it is open to all kinds of people both human and non-humans. Yet it was still up to debate about what they meant by Wynter being the one responsible for awakening them from their sleep.

"While I'm glad that an ancient group of species survived and are doing alright, what I want to know is why my girlfriend was able to wake them up."

Revenant getting straight to the point about how most of the times whenever someone sang a song around the town didn't do anything but lift up spirits. Yet now when they do a performance it woke up a forgotten group that rose from the ocean and praise Wynter like a goddess. This got Wynter's attention to Revenant as he sounded heated at the moment of her getting attention.

"Is that a bad thing?"

Asking him if it was wrong to be admired by people that weren't anyone she knew from town or from her own pack. This left Revenant uncomfortable to answer since he always believed that she could be admired like when she was helping out Zed's football team, though this was different since this praise was more of a worship towards her.

"Whether or not it's good or bad their part of the town. Even if we didn't know they were undeath the water all this time. We should see if we can help them adjust to their new surroundings."

Addison adding her voice in the mix seeing how while out of the countless times new visitors come to Seabrook. This time they lived here right by their side and could see how much time had changed around the merfolk. Yet this earned a glare from Willa a sadden sigh of how her friend still gave people the doubt of them being good. With them talking about how they could help the Ceto adapt to Seabrook, Brit decided to check out the guests who were getting rather rowdy with how the human guards were getting glared at by the merfolk and their sharp teeth.

"Maybe instead of us talking about them like a gossip club about to share it on the internet. We should talk to them, and I mean us. No offense Mayor but we can this type of weirdness without passing out."

Offering a suggestion to them about meeting them face to face without any type of hidden conversation. Rev nodded to that suggestion as he looked over to Mallory if she was alright with the suggestion leaving her to agree since the young adults had a better handle on this matter. The group left the office to confront Miriam and her people to see what their attentions would be now that they are awakened to explore Seabrook and the years they had missed during their sleep.

Seabrook City Hall-Conference Room

The air felt tense with the group and Miriam's group looking at one another. Miriam had her arms crossed and not hesitated to show her dominance, the others tried their best to replicate the same gesture but couldn't. The only one looking at her without showing any fear was Revenant since they were admiring Wynter for freeing them, his eyes turned to the elderly merman who was by Miriam's side.

"Before we should talk about what you decide to do, I'd like to know who's your friend. Is he your relative?"

Rev starting off the conversation about who the anchor wielding merman was in which the elderly man took that as a sign to introduce himself. Walking forward he held his staff tight showing that he wasn't old as the young adults were expected to be.

"I'm the Ceto's advisor of stories and prophecies. Cepheus, the iron voice."

Introducing himself as what seemed like the spiritual leader of the tribe as this seem rather shifty to Rev. Though Addison gestured him to relax since he shouldn't jump ahead thinking he was bad, this led to Willa taking the spot to talk about what they wanted with her packmate.

"I'm Willa, leader of the town's werewolf pack. While I'm glad to see someone appreciates one of my own, I'm protective when it comes from a group of warriors."

Responding back to him as well stating that while it was good to see Wynter admired by people just like when she played in the Mighty Shrimps. Yet this was different since they seemed to worship Wynter which had her concern just like Revenant meaning it could be something else entirely, Cepheus. Could see the wolf woman's look of concern and wanting to know why they admired her so greatly.

"From you look at us I can see we might appear mysterious. But know that our attentions are not hostile or peculiar, we only wish to worship her for what she has done. Our diva!"

Speaking out in worship as the other Ceto's cheered for Wynter which had everyone jump a bit how they still were cautious about how they praised the werewolf. Turning over to Miriam who was in control of her emotions should give a proper explanation about what the elder was talking about.

"The reason we call your wolf friend 'Diva' is because before we were lost in the seas. There was a legend about our people being taken away by the gods, only to be awaken by a voice that had strength and spirit. The diva of the surface world, she would also help our people restore our society and brought back to the modern world."

Briefing them how this was already predicated about them being taken by the sea's and wait for someone to awaken them with a song. Farfetched but with the structure in the water possibly being half of their home and them waking up from Wynter's singing, there was truth in her words. Seeing how it was still much to take in and there might be other information their keeping, they still might need help with settling into Seabrook.

"Modern world has gotten pretty big, but we can help you as much as possible. Revenant's parents are the top scientists who helped with the zombies, maybe they can help to you adapting around Seabrook."

Brit instructing them about the Jones offering their services to them and Sentinel since the group wasn't just to stop monsters but offer help if they required it. Miriam and Cepheus took a moment to discuss the option they were given and responded with a nod to Brit accepting the helpful aid. Zed and Addison would offer to guide them to the Jones as well bring up how much time has passed since they had been asleep.

"They seem friendly."

A-Spen offering their opinion on them not noticing how they could be dangerous due to them having weapons and ready for a fight. Much like the werewolves when they came into Seabrook, yet different on the count they were already here before them or anyone else in the matter. It was too quick to judge them if they were going to be trouble, but right now what matter was Wynter who had gotten the Ceto's attention.

"Right now their tense and don't know what has happened in the past years. Best we can do is help them and figure out if there's anything else they might be hiding."

Nightwing making an option of aiding them for the time being and watching for any unusual activity. Deciding to leave the room to make sure no one outside tried to get close to one of the merfolk, Revenant and Wynter were left in the room alone thinking about what had happened. More importantly Wynter who was feeling excited to be called a 'Diva' by a group of aquatic beings, yet she could tell her boyfriend wasn't fond of the sudden popularity.

"You don't trust them, do you?"

Asking him about during the conversation his eyes were looking at their armor along how they looked at her with admiration. The zombie could tell how Wynter noticed his expression's since they became a couple, meaning whenever he made a face, she could recognize what he was feeling.

"I don't blame you. It's basically the same routine, new people arrive to Seabrook. Mass hysteria and then they tell us what their intentions are, then comes us talking and then the betrayal. But this time they're interested in you and, I'm acted overprotective."

Agreeing with Wynter how he didn't feel like himself but almost like Waylon when the beta wolf was concern about him dating her. Wynter could see the discomfort about what he was feeling and walked up to him and held both his hands, the glasses wearing zombie looked at her as she rubbed his nose against his to calm himself and no get stressed.

"You know I can protect myself, and you. Plus if I'm what they said a 'Diva'. You're going be praised as well, besides. This could be exciting."

Giving him some ideas on that if the Ceto praised her like an alpha wolf, then he'd get the same appreciation since he's always stayed in the sideline allowing Zed, Addison and Willa to take the spotlight. Now it was their turn to get noticed and enjoy the attention, while Revenant wanted to disagree with that idea, he couldn't say no to her due to how she was giving him a smile and acting cute like. The zombie nods his head accepting the advice and also getting a hug in return for him supporting Wynter. While it was good to see his werewolf girlfriend getting excited about this moment since it was towards her, he still felt like he needed to be on guard just in case if the Ceto had any other plans for her. For the time being he and the others would have to wait and see what the merfolk's next move would be.
