Back from the Riot?

Poseidon groans.

I don't know where did Percy get that one from. Sending Medusa's head to the Olympian Council, right in middle of yet another debate, hadn't been wise choice. Not only it made Percy being on radar of otherwise aloof Gods who content to just watch, Poseidon had to do interference before Zeus decide to go "SCREW IT" and blast him anyway.

He doesn't know whether to thank Apollo for finding it "too hilarious to end soon" or not.

Neptune rolled his eyes. You. Obviously. He stated. That lack of impulse control had to come from you.

You speak as if you're any better.

Oh yeah? Reminds me again. Which one of us responsible of Medusa?

Athena is the one who go overboard with the curse. Why you brought her anyway?

I don't know. How about I saw Perseus and his friend just survived her?

Poseidon chokes.

They WHAT?!

They enter Medusa's lair and Perseus had to pull his namesake… with Medusa being awake this time around. Be thankful to the Faun who distracts her long enough for Perseus to go for kill.

Poseidon wonder how many of his past mistakes are going to come back and haunt him. Looking at the track record… he has feelings it would be "enough to make him swore off cursing anyone".

He sighed and closed his eyes. Trying to relieve the migraine.

He didn't expect that when he opens his eyes, he was in Underworld.

Or at least, part of it.

He didn't visit Hades' kingdom often. And when he does, it usually limited to the Palace, or occasionally when a mortal pissed him that killing is not enough, Field of Punishment.

But this one

This one is completely unfamiliar.

Evil and dark.

Poseidon looks around. This part of Underworld makes Fields of Punishment seems like Elysium in comparison. Especially that cliff.

He saw someone standing at the cliff edge, and it makes his face go pale.

…why is Percy standing at the edge? Please tell him he is not about to jump!

The little hero, an amused voice echoed far down in the darkness. Too weak, too young, but perhaps you will do.

Poseidon feels like he had taken a dip in Coctyus.

He knows that voice.

How could he forget? That voice haunts his nightmare for better part of millennium ever since Zeus manage to pry them out from that damned prison!

And… and it was… talking to Percy?!

They have misled you, boy. Barter with me. I will give you what you want.

"Percy no! Don't!" Poseidon want to scream, to cry out, anything, but his mouth was sealed shut. He was frozen in fright.

Cold laughter echoed from the chasm.

Dark, Dark Damp Place. Too small too dark, he was boxed in from all sides

Letmeoutletmeoutletmeout!

What can you do little one? You are weak. You are pathetic. You cannot win against me. I'm going to kill you but before that I will kills your siblings first while you watch. How about that?

"-e up, FATHER WAKE UP!"

Poseidon's eyes blew open.

Amphitrite and Triton were standing above him. Their face contorted in concern.

"Husband." Amphitrite tentatively help Poseidon sat up.

He notice that Delphin was here. With more attendants can be seen from the open door. Poseidon can feel even more of them.

"My lord." Delphin bowed. "Pardon our rudeness, but you were screaming in your sleep and trashing around."

…that explains why the room looks like going through blender.

(He was the blender)

"Husband. What happened?" Amphitrite asks. "You haven't done that since…" her sentence left hanging in the air. "…is it concerning your son?"

Poseidon closes his eyes.

He can still hear the cold laughter. Can still feel the disgustingly cruel presence.

Neptune pressed against him. Murmuring protections and how he will help, whatever he can do to help.

Poseidon appreciates it.

"Call the Council." He opens his eyes and declared. "And someone, go fetch Kym. I don't care if she throws a tantrum. She will be present!"

His daughter had to hear it.

No.

Everyone has to know the danger.

It better be as paranoid as Zeus than thinking it was just weird coincidences and pay for it later!

"Are we declaring war?" Rhodes asks.

Poseidon shook his head.

"Worse." His voice is grave. "My Father is rising."
