Bucky Pov:

This is getting ridiculous how many new monsters are coming to Seabrook. I mean at first, it was zombies but that was because of an accident, but then things got normal when the laws came in. Werewolves who seemed ready to bite my head off since they were jealous of my popularity and way of getting the people pumped up for a game, then to think it couldn't get any stranger aliens came from the sky shooting lighting and almost taking over and cloning me to make an army of super handsome cheerleaders. Yet it all turned out well and everyone is enjoying the peace, now it's starting again but from the same beach I work on my tan and my complexion."

Seabrook-Big House

Escorting the merfolk to Sentinel headquarters on the other side of the prison where they kept the dangerous monsters that were fond of causing trouble for the town. It was also a place for different creatures to find a home in Seabrook so they could feel both safe and welcomed, right now the Ceto clan was taking refuge at the Big House where they would be able to treat wounds they had gotten before being taken into the water. The Joneses were the first to offer their services to them since they were fascinated with how a race could survive centuries of change. Mathew was taking a look at one of the merfolks as he was studying his skin tone and the changes they have gone.

"Fascinating. From the basic eye, you look around thirty years old, but you've aged around one thousand years. No traces of wrinkles or any signs of aging after coming out of the water."

Complimenting the male Ceto as the aquatic man didn't understand what he meant as he looked at his fellow Ceto people who were also being looked at by Sentinel doctors and scientists. By the side was Susan who noticed one of the younger Ceto's coughing badly as she gave him some medicine to treat his sickness. The child's mother spoke in their native tongue trying to figure out how Susan was able to help the boy.

"This is medicine. It'll help with slowing the coughing, he needs to rest."

Gesturing her with words about how all that the boy needed was to let the medicine help him and to get rest. It was difficult since most of the Ceto didn't take the candy that the aliens offered to them due to what it might do to them. The humans and others continued to look after the merfolk while being observed by Miriam and the elder Cepheus who saw how the surface dwellers were being kind to them.

"It is surprising to see humans looking after the unknown. When we first showed ourselves to others, they attempted to attack us. Abuse our resources, or worse."

Miriam spoke a harsh truth about how while it seemed impossible for humans to aid not of their kind, it was happening before her eyes. Right by her side was Brit along with Addison and Nightwing since they both weren't human and could share with them how times had changed.

"There are parts of the world that haven't adapted to accepting the unknown, but that doesn't mean the rest share their point of view."

The Fruitpire responded to Miriam on how he knew what it was like to be treated horridly by humans, however, he didn't exactly believe all of them were the same. Addison could see how the two had both of their people mistreated harshly by human arrogance. Similar to the past when Seabrook was like that with zombies, before it was changed by her and Zed.

"What he means is that not everyone is afraid of monsters and any type of unusual people. We've come to accept them since we have our flaws of course."

Stating to the two about that most humans have grown to accept the things that couldn't be understood and what lived in hiding in the shadows. Both Miriam and Cepheus were skeptical about this sudden showing of compassion due to how they have just awakened, so they weren't exactly on the terms of accepting their hospitality. Yet still, they obliged the aid they gave them, yet Cepheus was focused on another matter that seemed important.

"We thank you for the aid and hospitality, but we wish to see our savior. The Diva."

Requesting to see Wynter since it was her voice who allowed them to wake up from their sleep and wanted to greet the werewolf. Yet it seemed rushed along and sounded serious due to how he wanted to praise her, however, it earned both Addison and Nightwing to look at him with a questionable look on how the elder wanted to see her now.

"Apologies for how my elder is acting, we are what most humans see us as 'straightforward'. We only wish to thank her for what she has done for our people."

Miriam apologized for how Cepheus was acting due to how before being taken by the ocean, the Cetos were direct and took what they desired. With Miriam explaining the reason for how anxious about meeting Wynter, the two could tell how he wasn't the patient type. Still, it left Night wing unsure about what he meant by 'Diva' whenever they brought up Wynter's name in front of them.

"That's ok, we're used to meeting excitable people. But maybe you can help us with what he says 'Diva'."

Addison decided to question what the title meant to them as Cepheus merely groaned in annoyance at how this wasn't their business and should keep out of it. Miriam could tell they would need to be informed about why Wynter was given the name.

"Before we were taken by the water, there were stories about how a diva would guide us to making our civilization known across the world. She'd allow us to become stronger and not let any invader torment us."

Explaining what sounded like a prophecy of someone coming to their island and becoming a leader. It was familiar to Addison since she's been announced twice as a leader to both the werewolves and vampires. Which have turned half true leading to saddening results of conflict and aggression, Night wing however was suspicious since he'd seen it before in Seabrook as well.

"How can you be certain that Wynter might be your Diva?"

Questioning if she is the Diva they were praising was Wynter which could have been a mistake since most voices could sound the same. Both the Ceto's looked serious at the bat's question as they looked over at the window where the others were still being treated. Miriam opened the window where the others noticed the dark warrior and elderly looking upon them, in which they let out a call that was similar to a howl. In unison the others did the same along made the walls echo with their song, Night wing covered his ears due to the sound being too loud. While the others were being entranced by the singing leaving them unable to do anything, they stopped the singing as it was a clear sign it sounds similar to Wynter's howl.

"Do you doubt us now?"

Cepheus questioned Night wing as the song went away quickly which left Addison and the others dazed at what happened. The two were left in silence as the four noticed the door open up showing Brit with guards who still felt off from the singing they heard.

"I hope you don't mind we prepared some food for you. As well as the alien candy to help your people talk to us so we can help them with anything else that's bothering them."

Telling them how they had prepared a meal for the people and the translation candy that would be offered to everyone. Miriam bowed her head for the hospitality she was giving them as she and Cepheus followed the Sentinel leader to take them to the cafeteria to eat. Seeing the pair leave this left Addison and Night wing speechless about how they believed Wynter was the Diva.

"Siren's song, I've heard tales of the song driving sailors into their demise. And it sounded like Wynter."

He started to Addison that the song they sang was just like Wynter's howl which was frightening to Addison. Though that left her confused about the notion since there was one thing that had to make their sirens.

"I'm not an expert on monster aquatic life but don't most sirens and mermaids have tails?"

Questioning that in most stories about them having fishtails since that was the whole myth about them. Night wing sighs at the idea that humans have spread about mermaids and sirens having tails. Though the story behind it is complicated due to how they go into the water.

"They do. Except for the story behind it involved the goddess Atargatis diving into the water after killing her husband. Except it went halfway leaving her top part human and her legs becoming fins, soon enough the story changed generation after generation on how most merfolk have or don't have tails. Yet the only time they show it is when they go further into the water Revealing their true nature.

Explaining to her while the original story of the mermaid was based off a tragic moment, soon became different leading to stories on how mermaids and sirens had their tails. Still one thing remained during his explanation, they were not to be taken lightly. Which was already demonstrated with their singing that left them helpless due to their singing.

"Then maybe we should just keep an eye on them, and this time be extra careful."

Believing that this time she wouldn't let herself be distracted by their words and anything else that might happen since Addison may have a heart that can accept everyone. It has led to moments where Addison wish she could have prevented if she listened, this time it could different. The two made their way out to see the others since they decided to check around the Big House since they didn't visit the Sentinel base.

Later-Sentinel Cafeteria

Having the Ceto's gather in the mess hall to share with them the numerous foods they might have missed during their sleep. Each of them exploring new meals that Sentinel offered to the aquatic individuals, Revenant alongside Wynter. Zed and even A-Spen who was fascinated with the lifeforms that could avoid the Motherships radar. While they were enjoying the food and speaking in their native tongue, the four young adults noticed a Ceto child walking up to Wynter baring a gift for her. Bowing her head in respect of the diva, the girl handed Wynter a necklace made from several types of rocks from the ocean.

"Their beautiful, thank you."

Wynter complimenting the child for the gift as well getting a hug from her which made Wynter almost speechless at the attention she was getting. The others felt glad for her on this type of affection she was receiving, the Ceto child rushed over to her parents to enjoy the rest of the meals they were being given.

"It appears they idolize you for the singing that you displayed back at the beach. It is love?"

A-Spen asking them about how while they had the same type of feeling for Revenant which then was displayed onto Willa after the Blight attack. They still however needed much educating on the emotion, luckily Zed could explain to A-Spen about what they just saw right now.

"In a sense yes, but this is more of thanking her for waking them up from the beach. I'm surprised you're not getting involved with it Rev."

Zed explaining to his alien friend and asking if Rev was bothered by not getting the same type of respect due to him and the others having a part in her singing. He was alright with not getting noticed since he wasn't that much of a talker when he had attention on him. The only thing he wanted was to make sure Wynter was safe from how many Ceto's praising her.

"The only thing I want to make sure is that the Ceto's can find a place here in Seabrook since they possibly reside at the beach. Meaning finding new homes for them around town will be difficult."

Responding about how while it was good for them to explore around a town that can accept them without any type of resentment or being afraid of them. The issue was seeing if there were vacant buildings that the Ceto could use for homes and settle in. Meanwhile for Wynter, she still couldn't help but admire the necklace that she received.

"I never got this type of gift before."

Telling the others as she was still in disbelief of getting this type of gift before in her life since she always focused on being the toughest wolf in the pack. Now she was being admired like an alpha, Rev smiled at how she was enjoying this as he patted her shoulder trying to calm herself from crying at the necklace offering. The four continued to eat until they heard someone coming into the cafeteria. His eyes widen seeing how it was none other than Bucky, who somehow managed to find the Big House and get pass the security.

"Ok. Who wasn't watching damn door?!"

Shouting out to the guards who he often see's running the building and keeping an eye out for any outsiders that might have tried to enter the Big House. The glasses wearing zombie took a moment to see if anyone would answer, but he got his response from one of the guards having a Bucky pin showing how he was a fan of the cheerleader celebrity.

"Don't mind me folks, just wanted to give our new neighbors the true welcoming of Seabrook's most well known citizens."

Telling everyone in which the guards didn't know how to react since he had an escort with him and seemed to want to greet the Ceto's. Seeing him get noticed by the Ceto's confused on how he was trying to be impressive, they looked by the side noticing Miriam and Cepheus coming in which scared Bucky due to how quiet they came in.

"Hi. We didn't exactly have a chance to meet when you were being, intimidating at the people on the beach. Name's Bucky, all star cheerleader icon of Seabrook and soon to be worldwide with the videos I'm sending across the world with the help of Mothership."

Introducing himself and presenting a video of his which displayed several of his gymnastic feats and performances which amazed the crowd. The expressions on Miriam and Cepheus faces showed no interest as they stared at him with a blank expression, in which Bucky didn't back down as he tried to be smooth with them.

"Maybe I can offer you and the others a show on what Seabrook spirit is since you plan on sticking around."

Suggesting in giving them a performance of his cheerleading skills and to display for the Ceto's on the town having a great sense in spirit. Even with him offering a smile and his usual charm that would amaze everyone in town, the two weren't impress. Their eyes looked to Wynter as the wolf girl felt nervous about how they looked at her, Revenant almost felt the same not knowing what else they might say or respond to Bucky since he would usually let his looks do the talking.

"We only wish to see the Diva perform, if she would like to."

Cepheus breaking the silence as they looked to Wynter asking for her to sing again seeing how they enjoyed her voice. Bucky in disbelief looked at the wolf girl confused that when she performed it was loud and unpredictable, before he could say a word Revenant stared at him trying to convince him to not say anything that could get him in trouble.

"I mean I wouldn't mind if it was alright with you."

She spoke out to the elder and looking over to Rev seeing if she could sing for the Ceto's since they admired her. He looked around seeing the merfolk curious about if she could do a song for them since it felt like a wonderful moment for them. Nodding to his girlfriend he wouldn't mind seeing her sing a bit, Bucky was still speechless at how Wynter was taking the attention leaving Zed to gesture him to come over so he could watch the performance.

"This should be fun."

Bucky bluntly of how while the performance she did on stage by the beach was entertaining, he would have offered something spectacular. That earned a growl from Wynter making Bucky flinch and hide behind A-Spen which got the alien fascinated with what she was going do. The Ceto's watched Wynter as she focused on what she would sing for them and finding the proper rhythm.

"Everybody's got a thing, but some don't know how to handle it. Always reachin' out in vain, just takin' the things not worth having."

Starting off her singing slowly as Wynter remembered the song from the movie night she had with Rev. Recognizing the lyrics the zombie boy looked to A-Spen and requested them to use their device that could allow them to see through anyone's mind. Confused by his request, A-Spen did so along how Revenant only wanted the music and not the vocals. Following his instructions, the device began to play the music which helped Wynter with her singing.

"But don't you worry 'bout a thing. Don't you worry 'bout a thing, mama. Cause I'll be standin' on the side, when you check it out."

Slowly singing more knowing the next part was going be massive as she looked at Revenant curious if he knew what to do next. The zombie quickly turned on the audio increasing the sound making sure the beat was loud enough for everyone to hear leaving Wynter to stand up letting everyone see her singing.

"They say your style of life's a drag and that you must go other places. Just don't you feel too bad, when you get fooled by smiling faces."

Continuing her melody and letting the music get her excited as she looked at the Ceto's who gave her their full attention. The guards on the side watched the performance curious if they should do anything since it wasn't that often they get something like this, in which they stomped their feet adding on to Wynter's singing.

"Don't you worry 'bout a thing! Don't you worry 'bout a thing, baby. Cause I'll be standing on the side when you check it out!"

Calling out to everyone as the Ceto's did the same movement that the guards were doing from the side stomping on the ground. This caused most of the whole cafeteria to get up and dance to the rhythm as well Wynter's singing that turned the whole room into a party.

"When you get off your trip! Don't you worry 'bout a thing. Don't you worry 'bout a thing."

Wynter telling them as she leapt across the tables getting the Ceto's excited as well embracing the chance to start a new life. Miriam smiled at how her people had gotten back their life as well enjoying one another's company, while Cepheus held his staff tight. Showing a small smirk on his face as he observed the wolf girl's performance from a far.

"Everybody needs a change, A chance to check out the new. You're the only one to sees, the changes you take yourself through!"

Shouting out loud holding onto the note as everyone in the room stopped as they could feel her the strength from her voice. Everyone went silent from how her voice continued her note until she took a moment to catch her breath. Wynter, who felt embarrassed about holding onto the note as she saw the Ceto's joining along with the guards making stomping sounds to match the music.

"Don't you worry 'bout a thing. Don't you worry 'bout a thing. Don't you worry 'bout a thing. Don't you worry 'bout a thing!"

Calling out to the crowd making sure that no matter what happens next that they'll know she would have their back. With the performance happening none of them noticed Brit who was with Addison and Night wing who saw everyone having a good time. With how the Ceto's and guards were enjoying themselves, they decided to slowly join the festive moment.

"But don't you worry 'bout a thing. Don't you worry 'bout a thing, mama. Cause I'll be standing on the side, when you check it out."

Singing more lively as well looking over to Revenant as she brought him onto the table so he could join her in the dance. The zombie boy smiled at his girlfriend enjoying herself singing to the merfolk as he danced right by her side. Addison took the chance as she rushed to Zed to enjoy the dancing since she didn't want him to feel alone in the moment.

"Don't you worry! Don't you worry 'bout a thing, mama. Cause I'll be standing, I'll be standing! For you!"

The two singing in unison as they held the tone for several seconds as the crowd applauded the duet as everyone cheered in excitement. Taking the opportunity Revenant whistled at the guards to shine a spotlight on her, moving out of the way quickly enough for her to shine upon Wynter so everyone could see her finish the song.

"Don't you worry 'bout a thing!"

Ending her singing as the whole cafeteria applauded for the performance and recognizing her as their diva. Wynter looked at the whole room staring at her made her heart skip a beat as she tried to not shed any tears for the appreciation she was getting. With everyone praising the wolf girl, Cepheus merely looked at his staff which showed four lines edged into it. One of them were marked off as he did it to the second one, looking at Wynter he merely kept to himself seeing how he needed Wynter, the whole Ceto clan needed the Diva if their people were to prosper in this new age.

The song used for this is from Tori Kelly 'Don't you worry bout a thing'. All rights to the song belong to her and the writers behind it, stay tune to see what is in store for Seabrook and the others.
