Wyatt Pov:
"It's kind of a good thing that Wynter gets some deserved attention from outside of the pack, when she got it from Seabrook High School it was because she was the first werewolf quarterback and the only girl on the team. It was a real feat for both the pack and the town since not many girls can tackle half of the football team. I mean if anyone in the pack deserves the recognition it's her, I mean Waylon would get it as well since he's been considered beta for who knows how long. Still, he wouldn't be a fan of the spotlight since he's dedicated to looking after the pups and making sure the pack was protected and strong. I just hope this attention doesn't forget where she belongs and comes from."
Morning-Wolf Den
The next day came and there was much talking going on amongst the wolves since none of them didn't expect Wynter to be praised by a group that wasn't humans. While most of the werewolves didn't mind her getting the deserved recognition, some of them were worried due to how they didn't exactly have a friendly approach. The only one to think about this was Willa since she's always considered Wynter as a little sister and did her best to include her in everything when the pack did an activity. Right now the alpha wolf was in her room looking at several books that she 'borrowed' from Nightwing's collection when she visited the big house when Waylon was getting treated after the fight he had with Apex.
"All these books about creatures outside the country and none of them having peaceful intentions."
Talking to herself as she read each book that talked about old civilizations that were nonhuman and tried to be peaceful with their human neighbors. While often the humans would avoid them due to their unusual ways and appearance was more than enough to stay on their lands, most creatures would take the opportunity to seize the moment and obtain whatever they wanted.
"There has to be something on the Ceto."
Continuing her research into the Ceto since it was odd for a group that seemed capable of defending themselves and presenting an intimidating look to praise someone that they barely even know about. Sighing at the hours of how she's read each book the fruitpire had gotten her frustrated since there was no chapter on the Ceto.
"Willa?"
A voice broke her reading as the wolf girl threw the book at the person who called out her name. It was Wyatt who had some breakfast made for his sister since yesterday he noticed how she's kept to herself for half of the day. He had a plate of breakfast for her since Willa hadn't left since the sun came up over the forbidden forest.
"Thought you might want some food? Do you know? The stuff to help you lead our pack since you've been cooped up in your room like a bear if it was hibernating?"
Trying to explain that she needed to keep up her strength if she was going to lead her pack along to try and snap her out of the study session she was having to herself. The wolf girl felt her stomach growling, Willa gestured for her brother to come over since he had a plate of pancakes and eggs to help get her strength back.
"So, got anything through the readings you did last night? Apparently, with this much, you could have aced all those classes back at school ten times over."
Wyatt asked her since he noticed the books that were around her bed plus her notebooks that she wrote about anything helpful to figure out the Ceto. Willa showed an expression of annoyance seeing how she couldn't find anything on them. Letting her eat Wyatt decided to take a look into the books seeing only sketches of the Ceto's looking evil as well as plotting something.
"I think you should talk to Rev about this, he shares the same idea of the Ceto's being not what they say they are."
Responding to his sister that she's having trouble with trusting them since living here in Seabrook has made her alert and suspicious around new monsters. While she was already used to that feeling before coming to town, it has only increased due to the numerous guests coming to town and using the people's good nature to their benefit. She kept silent seeing how he was right about it, still, it made Wyatt sad seeing his sister act like she hadn't changed when it came to meeting new people.
"Still, I don't think you're not half wrong. I've talked to A-Spen about what might be in the water and when they told me about how the Cetowere was taken away by the water, there was something else brought with them. The mothership is trying to figure out what it is."
Offering her some helpful news that she wasn't the only one investigating the Ceto's arrival since the aliens decided to look into this new arrival. Hearing A-Spen's name, made Willa nervous since there was a certain charm to the blue haired alien. Her brother noticed her expression which made Willa growl at him since it was none of his business.
"If they can help out the better because this gimmick of finding a new home is getting old."
Admitting that no one suspected it when it was them at the start since all they wanted was to find the moonstone. Then came the aliens who wanted to find a missing piece that could lead them to a new planet where they could make a new home, so for the good of all things she hopes that the aquatic folks weren't following the same path.
"Maybe they already have a home, the beach since it's surrounded by water and need it to survive. Unless Mallory wants to try and welcome them into town then it's going be a waterpark."
Joking about if she would plan on bringing the Ceto into Seabrook and finding homes for them to live in since they were considered citizens of the town. While it was a joke to him since it was fun to see how they could adapt around the various species of humans and monsters. Willa didn't feel so well about it since things had just started to feel normal around Seabrook, only for a new group to arrive causing this abruption.
"Do you trust them?"
Willa asked her brother since everyone had a different perspective of new visitors or people who come across their path. Wyatt has always had a calm mind when it comes to meeting others, Willa would be the one on defense even before coming to Seabrook and looking after the pack. Taking a second to look at his sister's face he can tell this was troubling her, which made him question if it was the new people or Wynter.
"I think the better question is do you trust Wynter to handle this?"
Questioning her if this was about the group of visitors posing a danger to Seabrook or their fascination with Wynter since they praised her as if she was an alpha. It took her by surprise since it wasn't that often seeing Wynter as the center of attention, or importantly valued since Willa has often been seen as the one amongst the pack as the leader.
"Yes, no. I don't know right now. Maybe it's the fact that she's in the same position that Addison was in when you thought she was the white wolf. But we just wanted the stone and then leave, but they're not going anywhere. What exactly do they want with Wynter."
Correcting herself on how it was strange for her to not be noticed and also for Wynter to what might happen with this newfound popularity she's obtained. It felt wrong to be jealous since she's also made sure her friend and everyone within the pack would get attention since they were family, yet still, this was something else. Growling at her herself for feeling conflicted about the feeling as Wynter was about to break her plate, Wyatt stopped her to calm down before hurting herself.
"If it makes you feel better, Eliza is working with Zed's dad and the aliens to find several homes for the Ceto right now. We can check it out and see how 'dangerous' they are."
Informing Willa about them getting new homes that were ready to be filled in by Ceto families desiring to make themselves home on the other side of town. Hearing that made the alpha breath in feeling a bit of a jerk since it already seemed like they wanted to start a new life. Deciding she had enough acted hostile Willa decided to support the Ceto and give them her full support.
"Alright then let's do it. Let's go see the new neighbors."
Responding to her brother's suggestion in seeing them as it took Wyatt by surprise on how she'd let her aggressive personality go to the side and try to be nice. With hearing her agree the two werewolves walked out of Willa's room to prepare to see where the Ceto were being set up. Making there way out of the wolf den they noticed outside several werewolves training with bone staffs by Waylon who watched their every movement.
"Come on you pups! I've seen cheerleaders who spin batons better than you!"
Shouting at them as if he was in the army since his main role in the pack was to look after the werepups and train other werewolves if any of them were alone. The beta wolf noticed the alpha and Wyatt coming over as he turned his attention to them noticing the looks on their faces about the training that was happening.
"Thought it be best to teach them a few new lessons in self defense. Along defending themselves against larger opponents, watch."
Explaining to them what he's been doing for several hours as he barked at one of the wolves to charge at him. Seeing one of the pack members preparing to do a charge, he rushed at Waylon only to be dropped to the ground hard and fast. The beta wolf only sighs at the attempt to knock him down as he looked at Willa and Wyatt about why they were stepping out of the wolf den.
"Just don't break them. We're going step out to check on the aliens and Eliza helping out with making the Ceto feel at home."
Willa telling him to be hard on the others while they went off to check on the Ceto adapting in Seabrook in a way to see they weren't up to anything odd or suspicious. Watching them leaving Waylon could tell there was tension between the two with one seeing the new group as possibly a threat or seeking help. In past he would do whatever it took to protect the pack and handle the responsibility in finding out what was the intentions of new people in Seabrook. Though right now the best place he should be is with the pack and making sure they are ready for what the outcome would be.
Later-New Neighborhood
Amongst the numerous locations where construction for the living arrangements for the Ceto were being made. While it would have taken months to find a way for Seabrook's newest addition to feel at home, luckily the aliens with the addition of Sentinel. They've sped up the construction and had several homes ready for the merfolk to feel right at home. Several of the Ceto were being guided by Aerial and Eliza who were explaining about the buildings that were made for them.
"From what we've seen from your awaking. You are all able to withstand the oxygen on the surface, but you require to be hydrated in order to survive."
Aerial showing them group about how with their unique genetics and that they could live in Seabrook without retreating to the beach to get hydrated. Eliza could notice how the Ceto had trouble understanding what Aerial meant and were frightened by her appearance.
"These structures have water, pools for you to rest in. Let me show you."
Explaining to them about how they could hydrate themselves as she guided them across the houses leaving the Ceto people more curious about the homes. As the Ceto explored the area, the new zombie trio was continuing the construction while taking a moment to look at the aquatic people.
"Guess you got people to hang out with when you want to wet the gills. If they could withstand the smell of you Sal."
Mist making a joke as she was in her gas form checking out the structure of the buildings to make sure they couldn't bring it down due to their strength. Sal, on the other hand muttered at the fact he could hang out with people that could survive underwater without coming out for air. Crossing his arms at the joke he noticed Cortex whose eyes were closed as he seemed focused on another issue at hand.
"We're going to be greeted by friends."
Announcing to them like if he was acting like a mind reader which in a sense he was since he could lift things with his mind due to his unique condition. Before the zombie fish male could question how he knew about it he noticed around the side was Willa and Wyatt who came around the side which startled the two since they didn't expect the werewolves to be here.
"No need to be frightened, there's already enough of that in town. Just wanted to see how things are going."
Willa telling the pair since from walking here from the forbidden forest. She saw numerous humans, zombies and aliens both curious and suspicious that the Ceto mysteriously came right out of the beach and now planned to make the town their new home. Wyatt took a moment to look around the two boy zombies curious if Revenant and Wynter weren't here to see the progress of everyone settling in the buildings.
"If you're curious about the power couple. They're talking to Miriam and Cepheus, and it looks serious from this perspective."
A voice telling them which was Mist as the smoke type zombie came right out of the walls which scared the two werewolves since they hadn't adjusted around the three enhanced zombies. Observing the green living smoke float in the air they see Mist going into her custom made suit designed by the Jones to keep her from slipping out and to interact with the people around her.
"Still surprise to see you around here, didn't got the chance to meet you both. I hear you become an animal when people want to start a fight with your pack."
Mist commenting about Willa's ferocious side when it came to looking over her family which she nodded, along smiled a bit since it wasn't that often anyone commenting on her being wild. Shaking her head at it and remembering she already had someone in mind and shouldn't get distracted about what was going on now. Especially if there was a conversation happening between Wynter and the Ceto elder.
"There's much conflict happening between them, and it will come to us in a few seconds."
Cortex stating that he was able to tell from how Revenant and Wynter talking to Miriam and Cepheus wasn't turning out well. Watching from the background the wolves and three zombies could tell there was a mixture of confusion and conflict since it seemed there was something they were requesting from them. The two Ceto nodded to the pair before making their exit from the neighborhood along several others as the rest remained to see the new homes. The two of them noticed the others leaving Rev to groan annoyed since he would have to tell them about what happened.
"Willa! We just got invited to see their home!"
Shouting excited like as Wynter was told that after the generosity of her and the others offered to the Ceto, Miriam would take them to where they had awoken during the concert. It shocked the two and the others since it was possibly dangerous since not many people either human or zombie had gone since there was no need to.
"Which I'm against because we don't know what is down there, because the last time we went into the water. I remember getting eaten and her helping me out, I don't know what's down there."
Revenant giving his honest response about that it was dangerous where not even he would go without being properly prepared. Willa looked at their expressions seeing how Wynter wanted to see why they were devoted to her and Revenant not wanting to take the risk in being somewhere that he didn't know that well. While about to discuss the matter, Cortex rose his hand to the others which had them look to see what he had to say about the situation.
"From spending time with Aerial and Addison. They have a means to travel underwater, seeing how they invited Addison and Zed due to their experience in greeting new people into Seabrook. What worries Revenant is it being at night time."
Stating the issue since the four of them would go into the water at night, possibly the worst time since there wasn't that much to see if they go under. The others looked at the pair if they still planned on going which Wynter insisted and wanted to see why she was their diva. Rev noticing everyone's eyes on him made him unable to think resulting him to cave in and agree with meeting the Ceto tonight.
"I'm saying this now. I'm getting a bad feeling about this."
The zombie stating about the whole ordeal as Wynter hugged Rev for agreeing with her to visit possibly the Ceto underwater home. Willa wanted to speak against this since this was going too far with the attention she was receiving, but this was her decision. The only thing she could do was to make sure Wynter knew what she was doing and to make sure that Revenant will keep an eye out for anything if they visit the merfolk's home tonight.
Night Time-Seabrook Beach
Hours had passed after being invited and right now Rev was almost losing all kinds of composure and focus since this was big for him. Being invited into possibly unknown territory which might have been around for who knows how long in Seabrook. His mind was running with questions of how long they've been here, did it happen when Seabrook was just starting? Did they come when he and half of the town was distracted by the alien arrival? Or when the zombie outbreak happened which was the perfect opportunity to move in silently without anyone noticing. Right now he was right by Wynter's side continuing to think these thoughts not noticing someone coming from behind him.
"Rev?"
The person calling his name as Rev accidentally let his instincts kicked in as he grabbed whoever called his name and threw the person into the sand. Taking him by surprise it was Zed who looked surprised and shocked at how fast his friend threw him to the ground, more importantly that he wasn't angry at him for what he did.
"Zed. I thought we talked about this, make sure to announce yourself or your getting get punched in the face. It's happened to you three times."
Reminding him about how he always tried to greet someone which resulted in him getting attacked. Zed shrugged it off since he was used to it as he got up dusting himself off as Addison was with him as she had several back packs that were for Wynter and Rev.
"Sorry if we're late. The aliens were making sure that our suits were ready for the trip, they both easy to wear and look amazing."
Explaining to them as she handed them the two as they took a moment to examine the grey colored packs. Placing them on they saw the straps glowing which had both Revenant and Wynter looked confused about the sudden glow. Deciding to hold the straps, both packs activated in unison as it covered the couple in a dark blue aquatic suit. They took a moment to look at one another in their suits as well hearing the same sound again which Zed and Addison was putting on theirs.
"Well, anything I wear will look amazing. Still, this is something else."
Zed complementing Addison on the suits as it felt flexible and easy to move around in. Taking a moment to look at his suit Rev looked at Wynter who was anxious as well since she didn't know what to expect when they'd arrive to where the Ceto's had awoken. Deciding to encourage her, the zombie walked over to hold her hand showing support to show how even if he wasn't a fan of this invite, he wouldn't let Wynter feel alone in this matter. With the four now relaxed they noticed the water slowly bubbling which meant someone was coming up to the surface. It was Miriam who noticed the suits on the four along Wynter looking prepared for the trip.
"Are you ready?"
Asking the werewolf leaving her to nod at the request of being invited to their home as the others showed the same expression of being prepared for the trip. Holding her trident, she taps the bottom of her weapon which emitted a bright light for them when they would travel into the water. Making sure to take one last look around the beach making sure no one else was watching, the four followed the Ceto warrior into the water not knowing what would await them as well what made Wynter a celebrity amongst the Ceto.
