A-Spen Pov:
"From what I've collected from everyone's mixed emotions and the situation involving them and the Ceto. Their people are under the service of a destructive creature that is with the merfolk and waiting for its offering. Which Wynter represents leading them to overthrow Seabrook and make it into their home. It's surprising how that out of all the places on Earth that would be suitable for an environment for home would be Seabrook. Logically Seabrook is away from any large cities and perfect to remain hidden from the outside world, though still has neighboring towns that would often come by to compete with the school. I believe that this competition will involve the survival of either the people of Seabrook or Ceto if they believe this will give them whatever they need to survive."
Big House-Afternoon
Everyone was on high alert with what the sudden alarm of Ceto possibly being a threat to Seabrook as Sentinel agents were on high alert in informing local authorities in keeping the public indoors just in case if anything happened. A-Spen was by the side contacting with their people since the aliens were in the dark about the current events of what was happening. Contacting their friends, A-Spen saw the expression on each of their faces about the situation happening.
"If the merfolk are planning to attack our new home then we must defend it. Will have Mothership program the defense systems and stop them before they have a chance to attack."
A-Li suggesting a counter strike due to what A-Spen described to her about a beast rising from the water to invade the town. Yet A-Spen went against the idea due to how Addison explained about most of the Merfolk being peaceful like and not aggressive.
"They're not all dangerous. The fruitpire believes that they are being influenced by whatever they are serving, the main priority is to look after our people. Tell them to bring in anyone that don't have a safe space to prepare for anything."
Advising her about taking in anyone who might not anywhere to go for safety as well prepare for anything. A-Spen saw the look on their faces on how urgent the matter was, especially hearing about the werewolves would be preparing to attack the Ceto for taking one of their own.
"What of you? Will you return back to the Mothership. We need you now just in case if they cannot contain this threat."
Apex questioning about their leader coming back so A-Spen could take command of the aliens and prepare them to defend themselves and the town. Though their friends was in trouble and would require assistance since it seemed the merfolk had them at a disadvantage with them outnumbered by their warriors and sea beasts.
"A-Spen will be with you in a few minutes."
A voice speaking from behind them as the alien leader looked seeing Willa having a serious expression on her face along what looked like tactical garments that represented werewolves. A-Spen was feeling multiple emotions from seeing the alpha in which went from awe struck due to her appearing stoic, the other was concern as most leaders who wear clothing like that would be joining the conflict.
"It's going be a small group only, A-Spen will be with you in the mothership where you can watch over Seabrook. Just keep everything in one piece, we should be done before the full moon."
Explaining about what would be happening as the aliens nodded seeing the confidence that Willa had on her face as they turned off the communicator so A-Spen could speak with the werewolf leader alone.
"From how the expression on your face shows a sense of aggression you're going join the others in rescuing Wynter."
A-Spen questioning how the werewolf would join them to journey into the village and rescue her packmate while stopping the rising of a possible sea serpent that will wash away Seabrook and everything in its path in order for the Ceto to have a new home. Not telling them the honest truth, Willa only turned her back to call on her brother in getting everyone from the wolf den to bring the moonstone out so it doesn't get destroyed by whatever the Ceto were worshiping.
"Kind of obvious from the clothes I'm wearing. Which is why you need to be in Seabrook with the mothership since you out of everyone has a spaceship that can look after the whole town."
Stating that amongst the groups of nonhumans who can look after the humans if their own protection fails, it be the aliens to be second due to their advance technology. While it was true the aliens would like to boost about the advancements they've made and would share a bit with Seabrook to help with its progression, they've never used it for conflicting moments.
"While your observation is correct. We are not prepared to fight; we've spent half of our years trying to be peaceful than to engage into conflict."
A-Spen bringing up about how their species had strived to push away all types of aggression after what they did upon their arrival to Seabrook. While Willa could tell A-Spen was against using violence, they should at least protect the people from whatever the merfolk would unleash just in case if the ceremony failed.
"Then if you have to put a force field around the town and don't let anything penetrate it. If you can't fight the least, you can do is look after your new home."
Responding in a serious manner as she walked down the hallways to check up how Sentinel was approaching the situation that was told to them. Several of them had gathered essential meal packs and medical equipment for precaution if the power went out. A-Spen followed Willa who was going to regroup with the others to see what their next move would be which left the alien concerned for the safety of werewolf leader and the others.
"It's not that we cannot participate or protect Seabrook, it's the feeling of what will happen after you travel into the water. From studying the research about earth conflicts, they eventually spiral out of control to the point where both sides will inevitably lead to mutual assured destruction."
Going on about that this hostile act will result in both sides destroying one another and taking out Seabrook all together. While Willa listened to A-Spen about the possibility of something terrible happening, she also was able tell from the tone of the alien's voice that they were worried about her safety. Continuing to see how many people were continuing to bring any more supplies to Seabrook, Willa took a turn to a corner where A-Spen barely noticed due to them going on about the dangers of the confrontation.
"Also it is important to realize the rebuilding of the town would take a week due to the mothership having all of its shield to protect Seabrook from the Ceto."
Continuing to warn her about the results of the fight as Willa quickly turned around to place her finger on their lips. The sudden action made A-Spen confused by this sudden action as this act was presumed to be used for someone that an individual cared for, Willa looked at the blue haired alien with a calm but focused expression directed towards them and nothing else.
"Are you saying this because your worried about everyone? Or for me?"
Questioning them due to how for the past several months of them learning from one another and seeing how they were both protective of their friends. She could tell that A-Spen's studies in emotions were always high when they were around her, Willa decided to cut right to the chase and wanted to know if they cared for her safety. A-Spen was nervous about her question since it seemed like a unexpecting time to admit they're feelings at this moment of time.
"I've always been protective over my own and of Addison's home from the time I've spent here. But if it does help. I've recently grown to admire your leadership skills and how protective you are others than yourself."
Admitting to her nervously about how while they would think about whatever the aliens do and act around the people in Seabrook. They found Willa's leadership skills and commitment to her wolf pack admirable and courageous since she let her emotions guide her. While Willa was surprised by the honesty in their words and the nervous look on A-Spen's face, she noticed behind him two familiar figures who had their own custom made uniforms for the mission. Taking a look at A-Spen, she gives them a hug which surprises the alien leader at this affectionate side of her that not many people have seen from her.
"Make sure to look after my pack while I'm gone."
Telling them in A-Spen's ear which confused the alien before noticing their gauntlet beeping as she activated their teleporting sequence. Looking surprised at how she was able to use their gauntlet, A-Spen was teleported out of the Big House and returning back to the mothership. While Willa watched possibly a love interest that she'd never expect to have, she looked at the two people who were behind the alien leader as it was Wyatt and Waylon who came in to help with bringing back Wynter home.
"I was going question about you trusting A-Spen to protect the pack, but I guess from how you look is that you trust them."
Her brother bringing up that she knew the wolf boys would venture with her into the Ceto village to bring back Wynter. This left Willa to make a choice which made her unsure it was the right one, which was to have someone that cared about protecting others into looking over the pack in case if anything happened to her. A-Spen would be the best choice since they had technology that would keep the moonstone safe from anyone or anything that would try to take it.
"You said that she'd trust A-Spen since she has a crush on them."
Waylon bringing up a secret that Wyatt told him about when they gotten the news of Willa sending the pack into Seabrook in order to safeguard the moonstone. Willa growled at Wyatt softly before keeping herself in control in order to stay focused on arriving to the Ceto village. The three werewolves made their way to the conference room where the group would be heading into the water. There was Brit, Night wing who were discussing with Zed and Addison about what they'd do as well being equipped with Sentinel gear if they ran into any trouble down below.
"We've contacted your dad and the Jones to gather everyone in town at City Hall. Most well defended and easy to head to, Eliza already has her Tombstone suit at the ready. From what I can tell it's got quite the fire power."
Listing the people who were getting the public somewhere safe and fortified so no one wanders off near the beach just in case if they fail. Each of them was looking at a sketched-out map of the town and where Sentinel would be defending along await any orders to engage any Ceto who might try to attack the town. Addison was at disbelief that she was in the middle of possible a battle discussion due to how most of the Ceto weren't aggressive.
"We should stop to think about this. While it might be possible Cepheus could be behind this since he was aggressive on keeping Wynter there for the ceremony. I don't think everyone seemed to agree with him, not even before Wynter started to sing."
Putting her voice in this topic due to how if they were going to return to the village, they'd have to focus on who was the one behind this and not hurt anyone along the way. Thinking about what she said about Cepheus being the aquatic male in charge of the ceremony as well the one that will awaken Leviathan. Continuing on figuring out how they would approach the Ceto for when they go back, they heard a clicking sound going off behind which showed Revenant. Who was wearing his own armor around his jacket and appearing ready to go back, the room fell silent on how it took him half of the afternoon to prepare for rescuing Wynter. Walking over to the table to see Seabrook protected heavily by Sentinel and Addison's dads forces, seeing the people protected made him focus on putting all his attention onto the Ceto.
"We go straight for the head. Find Cepheus, stop from making Ceto fight us and get Wynter out of there. Nothing fancy, no talking, no type of speech. Right to the point."
Telling them about what should happen when they head back to the village and focused on taking down Cepheus. Each of them saw the look on Revenant's face at how he'd approach the Ceto and focusing on bringing down the iron voice. Everyone wanted to talk about what Revenant was going through and how he was acting since this wasn't like him, but they agreed that the advisor had to be stopped.
"Rev? While we all know how much you care for Wynter's safety along the rest of us, maybe you should stay here."
Brittney suggesting that he would remain on the surface in case if the Ceto would attempt a surprise attack. Though the zombie wasn't exactly in the mood to listen but act since there was more to this than Seabrook, this left Zed to be the voice of reason since it was most of them time he would be impulsive whenever something suspenseful happens. Walking over to him and asking to speak, both zombies walked out of the conference room as Zed decided to try and be serious at his friend since he was the one to lighten the environment.
"I get that you want to save Wynter, I want to save her to. But with how your acting right now, it could end with us not saving her."
Advising him about that his anger could get them to make mistakes which could endanger Wynter and have Cepheus use it to his advantage. Revenant was trying his best to respond back to Zed at the times he had to be the voice of reason for his antics, now he was trying to do it at him. Holding back from saying a response about thinking ahead, the only action Rev could do was slowly growl at his suggestion leaving him enough time to calm his senses.
"I'm in control of my emotions Zed, more importantly that I'm aiming it at Cepheus. Along have something just in case if Leviathan gets released."
Reassuring his friend about how he was taking it along showing Zed specially made ammunition if things got out of control. While Zed would be ready to fight for his friends and family whenever the situation would come to it, he was worried about how far Rev would take it. Seeing with the conversation over Revenant decided to head back into the conference room to talk about how to get into the village without being detected.
"Do you remember about what you said about crossing the line?"
Zed questioning him about what he said a year ago when he learned about Apex who was under influence of the Blight attacked the wolf pack. When he found out about it, he didn't take it well and could have destroyed the mothership as well himself and the aliens on board.
"The others told me about you said, that you stopped the wolves from attacking the aliens. Because you were afraid of making Seabrook into a battlefield, you told them they better than getting revenge. I just hope you were telling that to yourself."
Reminding him about that night where he almost acted like an actual zombie and could have end up hurting both aliens and his friends. While also remaining composed and stopping the wolf pack from getting payback by any means. Looking at himself in at one of the mirrors and looking at someone he couldn't recognize, the zombie only groans at Zed being right and decided to go at this the same way as he did before, by acting like a protector than a monster.
Night Time-Ceto Village
While the surface was preparing for the worst and not causing any panic amongst the townsfolk, underneath the beach was the village preparing for Wynter's ceremony in helping them make a new home. Miriam was with Wynter as she watched the werewolf being given the proper attire for the event, looking at herself in the mirror made the werewolf nervous at how she appeared. Usually whenever she or her friends would dress up she'd be the one to wear a standard dress which fit her sense of style. Yet looking at herself now was looking at a symbol of importance, the white wolf that Wyatt thought Addison was long ago when they came to Seabrook.
"Is there something bothering you my Diva?"
Hearing Miriam's voice from behind her as Wynter took a moment to look at the Ceto female who was concerned on how she was acting. Wynter nodded slightly at her question since she should be excited for her helping out the Ceto, though she was saddening that her friends and pack couldn't attend the ceremony.
"It's just this headache I got from the feast, one minute we're talking about how the ceremony would go. Then things went foggy and I'm hearing music, and then they left."
Wynter explaining about what she remembered from the feast as she remembered resting in the village while the others left to return back to the surface. Miriam remained quiet since she knew about the fruit that forced her to act aggressively towards her friends.
"They wanted to respect the privacy of the ceremony. As well allow you to have the moment, they'd come to see you once it was over."
Assuring her that the others would see her again once the event was over, though there was a hint of sadness in her tone that she tried to hide away from Wynter so that she didn't notice. Remaining composed about what would happen next, Wynter was curious about one thing before she would have to focus on what Cepheus would need of her during the event.
"Miriam. I noticed something about the drawings you should me and others, the child that got taken by humans. Was that you?"
Bringing up who was the child that caused the struggle between the humans and Ceto to begin their conflict along the destruction of both sides. Looking behind her to see if that was the truth, Wynter saw how the Ceto looked at the response seeing how she remembered the day it happened.
"I didn't know better when I was in the water, especially how the humans were afraid of me. They argued about sending me back into the water, while also deciding to keep me. Thinking that they caught me like any other fish due to the idea of them believing the ocean was theirs."
Explaining her memory about how she somewhat caused the conflict between humans and Ceto by accident after swimming far from her home. Taking a moment in remembering the events, Miriam could still hear the yelling on both sides and the fights that started because of her curiosity. Leading up to the storm that sank the island and took out both sides.
"If I'd remained at the island, I wouldn't have led my people here at the bottom of this town. Along the years we've slept waiting for a chance to make up my mistake."
Responding to Wynter in both saddening and meaningful tone about that after the years of dooming her home because of one mistake. Yet now it could be fixed with her people coming up to the surface and making a new home with the resident humans. The werewolf could tell that even with this one act could make up for what she's done, Miriam was still guilty of what she did to the Ceto and could tell there was no forgetting about it.
"But you need to remember it."
She spoke towards the dark sea girl as it caught Miriam off guard about how she should accept that it happened. Confused by how harsh it sounds towards her, Wynter didn't mean it in a harsh manner but something that could give her meaning with how the Ceto will be able to make Seabrook they're home.
"While Seabrook may look welcoming to non-species like werewolves and aliens, it has had troubles of getting along with one another. Including my boyfriend who lost his parents because of humans, he could have just left Seabrook and never come back. But he returned to make sure the memory of what happened to zombies would never leave. So mistakes like that couldn't be repeated, much like how werewolves are with the moonstone and humans taking it. We always have to remember the bad, so we can avoid making mistakes if we want to do good."
Making a speech that what she did could never be forgotten and would always be with her, but it can motivate her in being better for the Ceto and everyone else when the merfolk reached the surface. She couldn't help but smile at the words Wynter offered her and encouraging her to be better, yet still concealed herself from about how things would play out once the ceremony was over. Hearing tapping from the outside as it was Cepheus who looked ready to commence with the event, Wynter acknowledged him and smiled to Miriam before heading off with the advisor of the merfolk. Though not without Miriam getting looked at by Cepheus on keeping focus on what mattered, saving her people. The warrior merwoman kept silent as she followed the two and hopping that there would be peace with herself, and the others.
Center of the Village
The entirety of the Ceto gathered around to witness Wynter sing for them and allow the Ceto to travel up to Seabrook. Many of the merfolk cheered for the diva as well worshipped her like as if she was leading them to a new home. Standing over them and looking at each of their expressions of happiness and joy, Wynter was speechless at the moment and what she'd do exactly for them. Cepheus and Miriam stood side by side with the diva as they made sure the Ceto would be silent for Cepheus to speak.
"For too long we have slept within this town's water hidden away from the world of humans. Centuries have passed and we were believed to be forgotten, no more!"
Shouting to the group as they yelled in response on how long before they were believed to have faded away into history. Raising their spears and anything in their hands to acknowledge their existence, Cepheus halted them so that he could continue to speak.
"Tonight, under the moon that bless us with its presence. Will allow our Diva to use her voices to elevate us from these waters and be amongst dry land after all these years, and fully be acquainted by our new home."
Stating to them about what the moon would do for Wynter as they looked upwards at the sky seeing through the murky waters was a faint light which was the moon trying to shine upon the werewolf. Unknowing to Wynter, she didn't know what she was supposed to do next as she felt nervous about her role. Looking through the water seeing the moon shinning as bright as possible for it to gleam onto her, they heard a frightening howl from behind the Ceto's as the three took a look seeing Waylon who was the one that let out the terrifying roar.
"Apologies. But my pack leader and the boyfriend wish to see Wynter."
Making a claim to seeing his friend as he moved to the side presenting her friends who had a serious look across their faces and glaring at Cepheus who responded back them returning. The team involved Wynter's pack mates, Addison and Zed along Revenant and Night wing who stared at the advisor who wasn't bothered by this surprised arrival.
"This whole ceremony is a lie; you all know it! The ocean that destroyed your home wasn't by the humans attacking you, it was by your iron voice!"
Willa shouting at the Ceto and pointing at Cepheus seeing how he wasn't hiding anything on his face due to how the ceremony was going underway. Most of the merfolk looked confused by the zombie's accusation, leaving Addison to pull out her own luma lenses to show them what Rev was saying. Each of the Ceto watched at the memory seeing information about who was the one responsible for the island's sinkage, along with the fruit that was offered during the feast that caused everyone to act hostile towards them.
"You all don't have to go with this. Seabrook is open to everyone, there's no need to fight. There's been enough already between humans and monsters in the past, it can stop."
Revenant admitting about how he was planning on taking out whoever would stand in his way when rescuing Wynter. Yet it wouldn't do anything but make them afraid of him. The Ceto began to mutter about this until they heard the iron voice slamming his staff onto the ground getting everyone's attention.
"Monster? Child. That word has little to what my master truly is, to what he is to all Ceto. He will be one to give us what we desire, no matter what stands our way!"
Shouting at him and the crowd before they noticed above the water glowing brightly. They saw the moon now fully visible threw the depths of the water shinning right to where Wynter was standing, hitting the wolf girl on the spot. Her pupils suddenly changed to her natural werewolf eyes as she lets out a howl that sent a chill down everyone's spines. The ground itself began to glow in an illuminate manner along Revenant's necklace as the eyes glowed brightly alerting his friends about Cepheus serpent master.
"Now things get serious."
Night wing admitting as he had to pull out his sword due to how he could tell from Cepheus smiling in delight about Wynter's howl, the ceremony had just begun and would either help the Ceto getting a new home. Or the destruction of Seabrook as well everyone living in the town.
