Kymopoleia did not sulk.
Honest.
Yeah, she did tell Triton to suck dick when he told her that, no, she can't cause big waves or hazardous storm on the coast of Long Island, especially the area where the Camp is located at. But it was more of the fact her elder brother (by a few years! In immortal's term, they're almost twins!) feels the need to told her that, as if she is incapable of independent thinking. Honestly, even without being told, Kymopoleia know how to hold back.
Father would take her toy away if she causes massive damage to Long Island. To say what other gods and goddess would do if they know.
Having been gifted carte blanche to do as she pleased to Princess Andromeda was the most fun she had since World War II. It was so durable, that chipping it away actually been a challenge to cause damage, much less capsizing it—and Kymopoleia likes challenge.
Since this ship carry monsters and traitorous demigod alike, father won't mind if she causes major damage to the ship, and causing some passengers losing their life.
(She might be in the hot water when the human passenger did die because of her actions. Although… maybe she won't be. After all Thanatos take one look at the state of the souls and told her point blank that she "do them a favor instead letting them lived a fate worse than death", whatever that means.)
Plus, giving the ship some rare peaceful times might be fun. They will lower their guard, and then, BAM! Kymopoleia can hit them with big guns.
Not to mention this calm weather she generously bestows upon them allows her to see small boats from camp containing few demigods that then boarded the ship.
More defectors. More traitors.
How fun.
More toys to play with.
At third night, she raised an eyebrow when she saw Hippocampi carrying two demigods and one baby cyclops into the ship. Only one of them is not her kind.
My. What is her half-brother(s) doing by boarding this beaten-up, monster-filled ship? It can't be that he's defecting also. Maybe if Father only use him as weapon. Maybe if he had no one in his sides. But not only father start to showing favor early on, mother also likes him and Triton visited him, at the very least twice, in person. Without demanding him doing tasks. He had no reason to defect.
This merits some investigation!
Nodding to herself, Kymopoleia pull her power in, leaving no trace behind. Be the tranquil eye of the storm.
She watches from safe distance, listening in. Rolling her eyes when the Athena's daughter dismisses baby Cyclops' warning about bad smell. Really. Cyclopes' nose is as good as Satyr's. When he says something bad, they should equate it to monsters. Unless she never been on road trip with a Satyr, then it was fool for her to not heed the warning.
Once they get to rest, Kymopoleia flown around the ship.
She never observes the ship close by, figuring out what makes it so resilient, but maybe she can start now.
.
Morning cannot come fast enough.
Kymopoleia sat on the funnel. Watching brainwashed humans going trough motions, ignoring the assortments of monsters, of demigods practicing by attacking dummies wearing old Camp Half-Blood Shirts—being trained to attack humans. She resolved that once her half-brothers leave the ship, she will up the storm harshness. Once you get out of the Eye of the Storm, you should get prepared to be ripped into shreds, after all.
Once she saw her half-brother (and one Athena's daughter), she jumped off. Power still tightly controlled, she morphed into a teenaged version of her preferred form. Dressed in ripped jeans and leather jacket and blends with the surrounding. Not hard, considering her resting bitch face.
Once again, baby Cyclops proved to be the Braincell Holder.
What have the world come to?
It comes off as no surprise they were caught by the very person they want to tail: The Traitor of Olympus.
Kym rolled her eyes, teleported to just outside the stateroom, leaning against the wall. When she stole a peek inside, her eyes drawn to a Sarcophagus in the dais, and she swore her immortal heart stop beating.
That Sarcophagus emitted evil energy like nothing. Its presence alone made Kymopoleia itch for good scrub to clear her body and mind. No wonder Thanatos call her killing humans on cruise "mercy".
Her frowns deepens when she hears the Traitor admitting of having spies in the camp.
Well. That is no good.
"How many insults from your father can you stand, Percy? You think he's grateful to you? You think Poseidon cares for you any more than he cares for this monster?" Kymopoleia freeze at the Traitor's words, and growls.
It hurts because it was true. Once upon a time.
(It hurts because if the Traitor reach to her before her father start to make amends, she might've joins just because)
"The gods are using you, Percy. Do you have any idea what's in store for you if you reach your sixteenth birthday? Has Chiron even told you the prophecy?"
Great. Now he gives the carrot!
To her relief, she hears her half-brother answers in cold voice.
"My father cares. Care enough to tell me what I need to know: My heritage, my family… who my enemies are. Don't think I've forgotten the Incident near Tartarus' entrance."
The Traitor growled.
"Luke. The gods, they are not bad. Hermes cares about you. He sent us."
Note: Send a storm to Hermes' way.
"Don't – even – mention him."
"He told us to take this boat. I thought it was just for a ride, but he sent us here to find you. He told me he won't give up on you, no matter how angry you are."
"Angry?" The Traitor roared. "Give up on me? He abandoned me, Percy! He and Olympians! You think they care just because your father does? That because you ARE special! You Are Child of Big Three! If You Are Not, You Might Never Been Claimed! Do you have idea of how many unclaimed kids that join me?! Kids that left languished in Cabin 11 for years, abandoned like old pair of socks just because they are not special enough?! Five of them are as good as Ares'! Two could hold beauty of Aphrodite! And I have three demigods who I'm pretty sure are MY OWN HALF SIBLINGS! Left in our very own father's Cabin and yet never been acknowledge! Just because they are not good enough, not special enough! And don't get me start on Minor Gods!"
Ouch.
Kymopoleia, sadly, can relates to that.
Then she felt something Pokes her mind, and harshly blast it away.
No. Eww. No mind control thankyouverymuch! She like her own head and thoughts all for herself!
She saw the trio reject the offer—really? For Hermes' child, the Traitor is bad at Bribery—and ushered out. Into the Cargo.
Whelp.
Time to Play Good Samaritan. She had hold off the storm long enough as it was.
Once Baby Cyclops hit the werebear, she unleash a storm onto the Cabin.
"You know—the forecaster is a liar—we get a storm!"
"Shut up – oh fuck – we left the Eye of the Storm Zone!"
"The what now?"
"Lifeboat! Lifeboat!"
Kymopoleia make swirl with her hand and strong gust of wind blew some arrows and thrown javelin elsewhere but at the Trio. She thinks one land on Defector, sharp point first, based on the pained yelp, but she doesn't give a rat ass if that person dies or just maimed for life.
She has very small amount of mercy to give and her half-brothers, unfortunately, hogs all of them.
Not enough to eased the storm when her demigod brother tripped when a big wave hit the ship and landed flat. Making him lose precious seconds as he gets up on his feet and continue running towards the lifeboard.
The waves did make other passengers tumbles and fell atop each other. So there's that.
When her half-brother slashed the rope that suspends the lifeboat, and open the—is that thermos contains the anemoi?—and shoot away from the ship.
Stupid Idea, if you ask Kymopoleia. Releasing wind to an already big storm is Bad Idea. That ship is going to shattered. Only holding on so long her half-brother demands it as his birthright of Poseidon's Children (Triton did say he has strong affinity with water, what with holding back the sea and create big tidal wave as well Water Healing), but once it reach the land, it will collapse.
Not her problem.
She had something else in mind:
Create Big Maelstorm and Break This Ship in Half!
Everyone will praise her if she can make the Sarcophagus to sunk to the deepest of the sea, never to be seen again!
