"Hello, children."

Amphitrite feels bad giving them heart attack, by appearing in the Cabin without notice, but it was not like she can waltz in and not cause resentment, even if she really wants to shake Dionysus for choosing Tantalus as temporary director.

Percy frowned. "Have… have we met? You look… familiar."

Amphitrite smiles. "My name is Amphitrite." She neither deny or confirm the statement. "Please sit, children. There are things to be discussed."

She gives them her most harmless smile. Showing that she shows them no ill will.

"So, um, Lady Amphitrite—"

"Lady is too formal. We are family here. You can call me Stepmom. But if it was too awkward for you, Auntie works just fine."

"Auntie." Percy tastes the world. It still sounds somewhat awkward. "Why are you here?"

"Straight to the point, hm?" Amphitrite mused. "It is because I have some things to talk with you. First, congratulations and thank you for coming back from Sea of Monster largely unscathed. Not many can claim the same feat, especially when the route you take is between Scylla and Charybdis."

They both ducked their head and blushed a bit.

"Well…"

"Second, Tyson—may I call you Tyson?" He nodded. "I come here on behalf of Atlantis Kingdom, offering you… an internship, so to speak, at Cyclops' forges under the sea."

She can see their face lit with joy.

"That was good news!" Percy beam, proud of his half-brother (and it is kind of sad that this is the first time Amphitrite see such a thing—a demigod child of her husband feel good will towards his cyclops half-brother, instead of jealous and resentful).

"Good." Tyson smiled happily.

"When he will leave?"

"At the end of summer. He will spend the rest of school year until the start of next summer undersea."

Originally, Tyson was meant to leave as soon as possible. Either at the day he receives the missive or the day after.

What was kept secret from the land dwellers and the other gods… is that the sea is having tension. Oceanus stirred and they have feeling this time he will take up arms… and not at Olympus' behalf. Not to say the numerous ancient creature that start appears. Some of them are positively Ancient, or imported from Mediterranean Sea. Or worse, Both.

Curse Ceto and Phorcys. Their children are the worst.

Thus, the merfolks and many more need to be equipped with armor and weapon. Triton is not the one to break the news because he had to contact his old teachers and ask for alliance, if such thing was possible.

(It was truly a blessing from fate that they were making preparation since last year, thus they are not caught flat-footed when situation start taking turn for worse).

"As for you, Percy." Amphitrite turns to him. "You receive a letter from him, right?" He nodded, though Amphitrite can tell he was torn between upset and disbelief.

To be fair, the letter with five words [Brace Yourself. And Take Care] was actually summarize of ten thousand words letter that Poseidon initially wrote.

The content is way too much of spoiler. It will be bad if Percy misplaced it and someone else found it instead. Amphitrite had to read and revised it several times and the end result was delivered to Percy.

Thus, it fell to her to explain the rest of content.

"Earlie, your father had gone to talk with your mother."

She had his full attention.

"They were talking about two things. First, finance. Unlimited Wealth can lead to loss of monetary worth. In way, human blow their money like there's no tomorrow. If I recall right, someone did a visit to Lotus Hotel and Casino?"

Percy gapes. "You were—"

Yes.

"You still have that card, and that is dangerous. Not to mention would raise question what an underage child does with Casino Card. So, your father, with your mother's permission, create a legal bank account. You will get monthly stipends, so you don't become… what the phrasing again? Ah yes. One of those rich kids who use their money carelessly. You are allowed higher amount of money if you are in quest or something the like."

"Okay."

Thank you for being sensible. Most kids would raging and wailing at the loss of opportunity of having unlimited wealth. But maybe Percy having come from family with tight budget make him appreciate money a lot more than most children.

Maybe.

"Second, it was regarding your next school. It may offend, but I believe he had a school picked for you already." Percy did look offended by it, even if he tried to not show it. "It was a military boarding school."

"My father wants me to go to this school? Why?" Percy asked. "What so special about it?"

"It was located near cliffside that facing the sea. The weather is bit unforgivable, but not unmanageable. With your track records of attracting two monsters during school year, your father feel it would be safer for you to be placed so close to your element, should you need it. The fact it was away means there is possibility they haven't heard of your… misadventures."

Amphitrite didn't say it also for them to have easier time checking on him.

"You don't have to accept it, though." She assured him. "You can choose another school, should your mother disagree or show you other options which you prefer. In the end, it's just mere suggestion. An option to think. You have the final say in it."

Percy nodded. The relief was palpable in his eyes.

Sea doesn't like being restrained. It won't do for them to force Percy. Won't be fair.

It's better to present it as an option.

"…can I think about it?"

The Queen of the seas nodded.

"You can give the answer to your mother at the end of summer."

"Ok."

.

(Percy look down at the school information, and weighed his option. In the end he decides to give it a shot. Surely it won't be any worse than his previous schools.

He had been in boarding schools before, military schools too. He can get used to this one.

Westover Hall, here he comes.)
