The Dragon Valley is one if many places that are unknown to all. It is a region in which only dragons seem to reside.

So why speak of it now when we're about to reach a climax? Well, I simply want to explain the journey of our young hero and why he isn't childish anymore. Why he's so charismatic and relaxed even though he's just recently spoken to other people.

There was a dragon that always chased him. No matter what he did, it was always there, stalking him. He fought countless other dragons, but could never defeat this one. It always either overpowered him or ran away.

It was the only dragon that withstood the Ascalon sword. He felt fear, a fear in which the Black Dragon would kill him just as easily as this one could. He wouldn't let that happen. He would become stronger even if it means losing his mind.

The dragon watched as the young boy turned into a man. He trained his arms into oblivion and used his legs to jump over entire trees. The young hero lost his ability to feel pain with just how brutal the self training was. The only thing on the boy's mind was killing the Black Dragon, but it was really just the dragon who chased him.

The time finally came on the third year of traversing the Dragon Valley. The stalking dragon and the young hero went at it again. The dragon still never got wounded and the hero was at the verge of death.

This was all an attempt to survive the insanity of being alone. This wasn't the fear of a dragon who could withstand his sharp sword, but rather the fear of being the only one who could save the world. Bell has never found or even spoken to another person in 3 years. He felt like the last person in the lower world where no gods and people existed. So why am I even here? Why do I still desire to be a hero?

Am I alone in my desire to become a hero?

The colosseum was built by the dungeon in an attempt to produce Xenos, a race of monsters which can speak and think like normal people. It was a failed project as you can tell, but this place was known to mark the point where many adventurers die.

The inside of the colosseum is unknown for the same reason monsters constantly spawn from it and it's an endless void where supposed entrances lie.

"The walls are surprisingly well built. Seems to be created with Adammantite." commented Tione, as the party travelled through the colosseum's inside.

It was also quite bright with white walls. It's as if your entering a very fancy building but without the fancy stuff. There was only one path at the moment, but Finn expects to split up once more paths reveal themselves.

Up to where the rest of the Familia are, they were ordered to defend the entrance as the rest entered the colosseum. Most level 4s and level 3s were left here as a means to protect the others from intruding monsters. Bell was in the group seeing that he was only level 3.

Just as the main path ended, the party was forced down deeper as a hole opened up beneath them. When they reached the bottom of said hole, there was a massive room where a massive door stood.

"Everyone, get into formation! Seems that something big is coming!" yelled out Finn, expecting the door before them to reveal a large enemy.

The massive door opened as a bright light blinded those seeing it. A person who had a divine presence soon approached them.

"Ah! Loki Familia, glad to see you've arrived. Let's get this party started than!" exclaimed the god, greeting the party.

The god slit his throat with a knife and his arcanum was released. Instead of being sent back to heaven, the god was sucked back in by the door behind them.

"Shit, Finn, I think we need to retreat." spoke out Bete, knowing the power of Arcanum.

"Bete, we are the Loki Familia, are you already having second thoughts? Arcanum isn't as powerful as you believe."

The door soon turned dark as a monster roared. It appeared to be similar to that of a scorpion but was made fully of bones. Skulls rattled within its body as its face was soon revealed. It took the form of the god that killed himself and it soon spoke.

"I am doom itself, Loki Familia."

Before anything could be done, the monster suddenly spawned in thousands of monsters from its belly. They were skeletons that took the appearance from every monster until floor 58. Knowing just how powerful arcanum is, the monsters could be estimated at level 6 minimum. This would be a losing fight. The Loki Familia might met there end here.

"Riveria, use your magic, were going to defend you and attempt to kill that scorpion like monster." ordered Finn, not exactly thinking at the moment. It was a hopeless situation after all, the monsters were simply too powerful.

The level 5s that actually made it here were being pushed back quite easily. The monsters either flew over the defense or went through without much force. The executives had also joined in, but were easily overwhelmed by the countless monsters. Finn couldn't exactly believe it. As much as he is fearless, his fear of this arcanum pumped monster grew more and more. It was far too strong to even be considered a monster from the dungeon. It may as well be doom itself.

"Finn! Riveria seems to almost be done! Why are you standing there? We've pushed the monsters back!" exclaimed Gareth.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought. Let's push back than! Put a shield up!"

Just as all hope was lost, Riveria finally finished her chant when they were about to all be killed. They knew this would be enough to kill most of the enemies, but the large monster may prove to be far more dangerous. Many casualties had occurred, but Finn knew that death was inevitable with such a strong monster. There wasn't any time to mourn though, as Riveria finished her chant.

"Vas Windheim!"

The large area was cleared as her magic killed everything 1-2 levels higher than her. This magic is super long, but in the amount of time the monsters had traveled to get to them, they had just the right amount of time to do so.

"Woah! Haven't seen you use this since the dark ages!" said a entranced Gareth, who once saw her use this magic on a powerful enemy.

When everything cleared out, the only monster left was the god. It didn't even move and seemed to glow in the magic.

"That monster has to be level 8 or even 9. How are we even going to damage it?" informed Finn, knowing just how powerful Riveria's magic is.

"You prove to be quite formidable, Loki Familia. Now you must withstand the power of the gods you fools!"

The scene changes to where Bell and the others are. They heard the roar and were worried until Anakitty told them it's fine. The young hero had no reason to believe so and knew something was up.

"There is no way there fine, Aki. I felt a divine presence and it seems something is up." replied Alicia.

"What are we going to do than? Were too weak to even touch arcanum if that's what it is. We can only stand here and wait for what's going to happen." she argued.

Before anything could be said further, Bell spoke out.

"We go down there. We can't exactly let our own Familia die without doing anything right?"

"But if there having trouble, what help can we even give?"

"You aren't one to take risks are you? You'll regret it if you don't take the risk right now for your Familia." answered Bell, jumping into the entrance.

The girls soon joined in with the others as Bell simply forced them to. There Familia is at stake, and if they don't help even slightly, than the Familia will be nothing but an average Familia. Possibly even a nonexistent Familia if it comes to it.

The Loki Familia were on the verge of death. They tried to defend against the arcanum of the gods, but it proved to be far stronger than expected. It was practically a level 10 with just how powerful the attacks were. The only reason they are even alive is because Riveria and the other mages of the party had put there entire mind into putting a shield up. It broke just as soon as the magic it sent at them cancelled out.

"Finn, what now? We're clearly outmatched and can't possibly wish to defeat that thing." asked Gareth, who was barely able to stand up.

"We retreat." the pallum replied, clearly hopeless at this point.

Just as soon as Finn said this, the rest of the Familia jumped down with them. Finn wanted to scream out for them to leave, but he was simply to weak to say so. The monster saw this and only said one thing.

"The whole Familia? I guess it's time for more suffering!"

Bell soon entered the scene and noticed the monster was chanting something. Without knowledge of anything or even how the monster works, he charged at it. His skills activated, warning Bell on just how impossible this is, but he kept going. His sword shined even brighter as it approached the monster, and it soon burst into multiple swords around it. A god slaying sword was never meant to be made by someone with good intentions, but the blacksmith thought otherwise.

The Ascalon sword slayed Dragons, but it was meant to slay gods when it really came to it. When it's wielder uses it, it has the ability to take energy from anything. Arcanum counts as a sort of energy, and the sword simply took a little bit of it. This little amount of arcanum is enough to make the sword capable of slaying gods.

"What is that idiot doing! Your going to die!" yelled out Bete, watching as the young hero charged at it.

The Ascalon sword was at it's peak. It was shining so bright that the room was illuminated in it. The god was stunned at the sight of it, but wanted to finish it's chant which wouldn't happen.

"So your the one who could wield it besides me. Your foolishness surprises me."

The sword cut through the large monster as the head of the god was split. It was too busy chanting that it couldn't defend itself when being suddenly charged at by some idiot who tried to cut it in half. The god monster had greatly underestimated the young hero's sword and had to deal with a massive wound.

"Never knew my sword could do that. What's so darn special about you?" said Bell, as he turned back to the work his sword had created.

The scorpion like monster soon shrunk as the only thing left was the god. He stood there, having a wound cut through his body. The only thing keeping him alive was the excess Arcanum from Bell's sword.

"To see that sword again is a thing I never knew possible. Your journey ends here, fool. You've used my sword long enough."

Bell was soon taken of his sword as a person behind him took it from him. Of course, the guy taking it was electrified, but it all went to a special glove he used. The young hero couldn't do much seeing that the Ascalon sword would cut him up if he weren't careful. He decided to back up as the thief gave the weapon to the god.

"I'm Moros, the god of doom. This sword became mine after I asked the blacksmith from this world to do so. You've proved to be the only other person capable of wielding it, but your free trial ends here." revealed Moros.

"That's all you wanted?" asked Bell. "You could've taken it back for free you know."

"Shut up child, you may as well die knowing your the only one capable of stopping my plans." retorted the god.

"What even are these plans? I expect it to be about some massive destruction knowing your ideals." asked Bell, curious as to what the god of doom is even talking about.

"The Black Dragon will be tamed by me in order to cause doom and suffering. You'll die anyways, so take this as a final word from the one who will cause doom in this world.

Bell was soon attacked at all angles by several members of the god's Familia. They were very strong, but Bell used argonaut's armor to barely block the attacks. The Loki Familia was in the background, witnessing the events occur. A god came back to life and was behind all this trouble. They literally almost all died, so of course questions would be asked later. The little battle Bell had was put back once Tiona and Ais joined in. The 2 adventurers seemed to be the same level as Moros' children which is quite surprising since nobody could get to that level without the dungeon. It is possible though, knowing what Bell had to go through in order to compare himself to a level 5.

"We are about to witness hell if we don't stop that god anytime soon." Bell simply said, as his attempted murderers fled with there god.

With the Ascalon sword now gone, many questions arise. Who is this Moros god, and why did he basically resurrect himself through a monster? The Loki Familia were almost killed if it weren't for the Ascalon sword and Bell's foolish charge at the monster he didn't even know the strength of. It seemed that Bell would finally begin his true story of becoming a hero after encountering the god of doom.

"You are quite possibly the most idiotic member we have, but that did save us countless times, Bell. Now the real question is what are we going to do now with this information." said Finn, within a tent with the other top executives.

"All we can do is wait and become stronger. All I can really see happening is that the god, Moros, will attack again when he needs something. I think that my sword, or should I say his sword, was the only item left in order to tame the Black Dragon."

"We truly can't get a break. Go back to your tent, we'll talk about this later on the surface. We've lost many of our members and can only rest right now."

The Familia were located on floor 28, the safe floor before the colosseum. Several level 5s were killed, but besides that, everybody was mostly okay. I lied on the okay part, Bete had basically lost his leg and Tione was knocked out cold. Ais was injured on her arms while Tiona had her weapon obliterated when putting it at the blunt of the god monsters attack. Finn made the monster classify as a Arcanum monster and named it Scorpius seeing that it was technically a god, but a scorpion. The top executives were also injured, but not as much as there other members. The level 4s and 3s were perfectly fine, but some of them had gotten injured when dealing with the monsters of the colosseum.

The overall report of the mission is that the colosseum has returned back to normal, but a god claiming to be capable of taming the Black Dragon revealed himself as Moros, the god of doom. Over 30 casualties occurred, with 7 of those being from the Loki Familia. The Loki Familia had seen death itself, but they were saved by a foolish hero who attacked Scorpius without fear. Unfortunately, the god survived and took the Ascalon sword which saved them from certain death.

A day passed by as the injured were slowly healed. Tione finally woke up while Bete was still fighting for ownership of his leg which had been torn by a monster. Ais recovered soon after and went outside to question herself.

Bell was simply chilling. He did lose the Ascalon sword, but Bell felt that it was needed in order to make him a renowned hero. He didn't want to be a hero because of a sword, but rather because of his abilities and will. He soon went outside as well to relax.

The floor was right after the Water city and therefore still had an appearance similar to those floors. The floor is mean to be the point where adventurers reach the dense forest ravine. It is relatively safe and the Familia keeps guard for any monsters coming from both regions.

"Ais, Hello."

"Hello."

The two reached the same point where they saw a small waterfall and several crystals surrounding it. It was a sight to most, but Rivira was far more majestic than this.

"Why did you just charge at it? Isn't that kind of dumb." she asked.

"I guess, but it was clearly chanting a spell and I somehow had to cancel it out before we all died." replied Bell.

"You have the traits of a hero and it's strange sometimes. You act like an idiot at times but still get the job done. It's just weird." she stated, remembering all if his feats on the mission.

"That's how I am. I've been alone for over 3 years and I just don't know anything anymore. I've almost turned insane but I knew arriving here would be worth it."

"That explains a lot." she responded.

The two sat in the sound of the waterfall. It was calm and soothing as they watched it.

"Is that god really going to tame the Black Dragon?" Ais asked.

"Hopefully not."

"Hey! Bell, do you know how Argonaut's armor looks like? Your armor looks like it but I don't know why." interrupted Tiona, who's running towards the two.

"The more I think about it, I probably do have his armor. I DO? WHAT THE HELL!" replied Bell, just noticing the specialty of his armor.

"Really!? Let me see it! It's from Argonaut after all!"

Bell took off his arm pieces and proceeded to inspect it with caution. It had some magic on it, but Bell believed it was the left over power of Jupiter, the spirit that helped out Argonaut according to Zeus.

"It's really shiny and magical." commented Tiona, also inspecting the ancient armor of Argonaut. "How did you even get this? I thought Argonaut died with his armor and it was lost in time."

"It was at Laikros, the ruins of it to be exact. It's really far away, but it's where I found Argonaut's armor and the really sharp sword that was stolen from me." answered Bell.

The armor was very ancient to say the least. The only reason it survived through time is because of Jupiter's small amount of spirit magic on it. Just as how Aria, the great wind spirit, preserved Ais through time.

A week passed as the Loki Familia finally reached the surface. Bell was still confused on how a god was able to use arcanum and not get sent back to heaven again. He predicted that the dungeon somehow made the god able to use arcanum through some loophole. It also seemed that the Ascalon sword was far more powerful than expected, but it's gone now.

"What do you mean the Black Dragon isn't there? It should've been in a slumber and your telling me it just woke up?" said Moros.

"Yes, when we went to it's location it was simply not there. It seemed to head towards the Dragon Valley as reported from our familia." explained a woman.

"Man, this dragon just won't let itself be tamed."

Moros was currently outside of Orario, in the unknown region called 'The Country Of Death'. It's a region where many ruins stand and many skeleton like monsters are. It's off in a region far from any civilization and is hidden by multiple mountain ranges. The Black Dragon rested here due to its secrecy and large mountains which it can hide in. The reason for why the Black Dragon moves around and rests is because of power. When the Black Dragon attacked Bell's village, it was seeking power from an unknown source. It only rests because of its injury on the belly, but it had slowly healed overtime.

"Let's go to the Dragon Valley than. We're going to find it even if it means encountering that other monster."

Nobody exactly leveled up, but Bell sure as hell did. He gained an incredible amount of Excelia from his sword kill but he thinks this is the last level up before he depends on his skill. The top executives were actually pretty close to leveling up but they didn't have a great feat to do so. The other executives were already level 6, but there endurance stat definitely went up.

"Level 4 huh. It's only been like 2 months and your already at this level. I guess it makes sense seeing what you've done before getting here."

Master I

"Master seems to be like Swordsman, but instead allows you to master every sword more easily." explained Loki. "The Hero's charge ability actually requires some assistance rather than coming straight from your mind."

"Great, but why do I even have that Deathly Heal skill? It seems to be quite strange in the skills I already have." asked Bell, confused on why that skill even popped up.

"I say it's your soul. You fear death and therefore are granted this skill. You should know this yourself." answered Loki.

It's true. Bell's soul had feared death and the only reason he ever did impossible things was to hide that. Death is the very thing a man should fear. It's the inevitable outcome and nothing can stop it. You can only live longer, but never become immortal. Unless your a god or somehow actually figured out immortality before you died.

"I don't fear it that much though. I don't get it." argued the young hero.

"Keep telling yourself that. Your skill says otherwise."

Author's Note:

I'm having some problems with ideas, but the story is slowly getting put in place. I'm going to create several new environments outside of Orario in order to create some more interesting events.

I'm going to explain Bell's journey to Orario slowly as the story progresses, but I will also explain the reasons of the god Moros for taming the Black Dragon.

Thanks for reading!
