A/N: Sorry for the delay. Life has been on the way. I hope you enjoy!

The group of Alpha Humans and military personnel stood watching the red crystal barrier after they all witnessed John Cena break through it and make his way inside. John's wife, Nikki Bella stood on the verge of tears as she saw him disappear into the light, knowing nothing of what may have happened to him and fearing the worst. In her mind, she saw the man she loved more than anyone risk his own life and cry out for another, and she could not shake the feeling that he would not have done the same should she have been the one who needed to be saved. Nikki took a deep and painful breath as she tried to calm herself, only to be startled by the voice of one of the soldiers.

"She's waking up!" They shouted referring to the previously unconscious Lana who was ejected from the other side of the wall by Cesaro's mother, Diana. Stephanie and Shane both to run to Lana's side.

"Make room." Ronda Rousey ordered to her men, all of them following her order and letting the siblings through. Stephanie knelt to Lana's eye level as she slowly regained consciousness in the solder's arms.

"Catherine?" She called out. "Are you alright?" Lana carefully brushed her hair out of her face and looked around. Her eyes narrowed as they began adjusting to the absence of the light that once was.

"Where am I?" She asked.

"You're back with us." Shane answered. "You came from the other side of that wall. What did you see? Was Claudio there?" Stephanie looked over at her brother.

"Shane, please." She said. Lana then spoke weakly.

"I…" she started in a stutter. "It was unlike anything I've ever felt. I couldn't feel any psychic energy, but I could feel this odd aura all around me. Then there was a town full of people, but I couldn't connect to any of them. They were like soulless puppets. Then I saw Claudio. I spoke to him and told him that we were worried… and then she came."

"The woman who brought you back here." Shane said.

"Claudio introduced her as his mother." Stephanie blinked at the news.

"His mother?" She asked. "As in his birth mother, Diana Castagnoli?" Lana nodded.

"I thought he killed both his parents."

"Claudio found his father Donovan alive months ago." Shane broke in, making everyone look over at him. "He told him everything about how his mother left and never came back and asked his father not to tell him about her and what she was. It was his then sleeping powers that showed Claudio what his mother was and what that made him."

"Shane." Stephanie said to her brother. "How do you know all this? When did Claudio tell you?" Sami then thought about what Shane had been doing with Cesaro and it became clear.

"He didn't." Sami said aloud in a pained tone. "Did he, Shane?" Shane looked down at the ground in shame. "Claudio didn't tell you a thing. You found out by digging in his mind." Instead of entertaining Sami's accusations, Shane decided to tell the group what else he knew about Diana and the situation.

"Diana is one of six beings called Celestials." Shane said. "From what I saw in his conscious, some old supreme being passed away before our existence and left a fragment of its powers with the Celestials in the form of six stones. They used those stones to create our universe as we know it, and then locked the stones away so that their creations could never get to them. The Celestials started fighting over them, and Diana stole one of the stones and fled from her brethren so not one of them could get all six. She came here and took our planet with her to keep watch over us. Her moving us, however, changed us into what we are as Alpha Humans. She came down to see what all she had done to us and spent millennia observing. Diana was on the verge of destroying us until she saw Claudio's Alpha Human father do something to change her mind. She fell in love with him and they had Claudio. Diana found that the other Celestials were still fighting and had noticed her absence, so she went back to not only face them but to keep all of us from being found… " Shane paused for a moment. "…but not before leaving the stone and its power in Claudio's subconscious, making false memories in his head and telling Donovan not to tell him about any of it. He sent Claudio away from Lucerne and Claudio had no clue, until he went back with John and found him."

Everyone was floored by Shane's revelation as it sounded much like something found in a comic book or movie rather than reality. In addition, Cesaro told none of them any of what Shane told them.

"Everything he knew about his life was a lie his mother made for him." Stephanie said in a sympathetic tone. "And he found it out all at once. I can't imagine how…"

"I don't get it." Sasha said. "If he was hurting like that, why didn't he talk to any of us?" Nikki shook her head.

"Because we were all too busy with our own lives to even notice anything different about him." She said with slight pain. "None of us noticed anything except John, which is why he ran to his rescue. That's why John risked dying trying to get through that wall… because Claudio needed him." Nikki did her best to try and fend off tears as she thought to herself.

"So." Ronda said with a hand on her temple. "Let me get this straight. That woman we just saw a moment ago is one of some galactic race responsible for creating our universe, including our planet and everything on it. That woman is also Claudio's biological mother."

"Yes, Rousey." Shane answered. "That's right."

"Wouldn't that not only make her a goddess, but also make the son of said goddess, Claudio Castagnoli, a god himself?" She received no response which, to her, was all the response she needed. "Great. First, we had to handle one of you with a god complex, now we're dealing with literal gods!? How in the hell are we going to stop Mom or her baby boy should they decide we're unworthy? Huh?" Stephanie, sensing Ronda's anger, intervened.

"Ronda, please." Stephanie pleaded.

"If what Shane just said is true, then she literally created us! Do you understand that?" Ronda then looked around at all the other Alpha Humans. "Do any of you understand the scale that all this just spread out to? Diana, the Celestial who helped create everything you know, threatened us. If she made us, then she can definitely undo us and there is nothing we can do to stop it!"

"We know, Ronda!" Shane snapped back, causing everyone to look at him. "… we know…"

"Well Shane." Ronda started after recomposing herself. "What do you propose is our next method of action?" Shane shook his head.

"I… don't know." Macey, eying the massive wall with steeled resolve, pointed her fists towards it.

"How about we stick with the original plan and blow this sumbitch down!?"

"Macey, no!" Shane shouted as he reached out to her.

"Listen, both John and Claudio are in there with that woman. They need us! Sitting around trying to figure out when to step in ain't saving them! We need to knock this thing down now!" Big E nodded.

"She's right." He said before readying himself to fire. "I put a hole in it myself before Diana strengthened it. If all of us put in the work, we can get through and get to Claudio and John." Ronda looked at the wall and then armed herself by closing her fists and aiming the arm with her wrist device at the wall.

"I'll mark a spot on it!" She told them all. "Once I do, focus your firepower on that target." Nikki, Mojo, Simon, Naomi, and Noam all prepared themselves to fire their powers at the wall. Ronda then looked to her team and back to the wall. "Fire on my command!" She took a deep breath and used her device to fire a neon ring of energy at the wall, the ring sticking to the wall and acting as a bullseye. "Fire!"

John Cena ran across the otherworldly beach towards the large beach home, ignoring the sand underneath his feet as it made its way through his shoes. He ran until his legs could carry him no further and he fell to one knee at the foot of the stairway leading to the front door of the home. While catching his breath, he saw a man standing outside the home look at him.

"Hey there." The man shouted. "Are you alright down there?" John slowly stood back to his feet. The other man then made his way down the stairs to meet John and help him to his feet.

"I'm alright." John replied finally. He then looked around at the scenery once more. "What is this place? Where are we?" The man covered his eyes with his hand and looked up to the sunny sky.

"This is home for me." He replied before looking at John. "I can't say the same for you, though. Where'd you come from?" John eyed the man with confusion before remembering why he made his way there.

"I'm sorry." John said. "I'm looking for someone. His name's Claudio. Claudio Castagnoli." The man's expression then changed to that of a fearful child, making John grow uneasy. "Are you okay?"

"You shouldn't be here." The man replied.

"What?"

"You're not supposed to be here. You need to leave."

"You know where he is, don't you?" The man began to violently shake his head.

"You don't understand! You have to leave this place now!"

"I'm not leaving until you tell me where Claudio is! He's in danger, so please just tell me where he is." John then heard a familiar voice call his name from the entrance of the home.

"John Cena." John looked towards the home to see Diana hovering several feet off the patio of the home, her crimson energy swirling around her like clouds caught in a zephyr.

"You're Claudio's mother." John said. "Aren't you? Where is he?" Diana raised her eyebrows.

"I see you did not heed my warning." She said, ignoring John's question. She then slowly descended to the ground where John and Trevor stood, the latter stepping out of her way as she landed. "I am not sure whether to classify your defiance as bravery, stupidity, or a hybrid of the two." John, unwavering, spoke to the woman again.

"What do you want with Claudio?" He asked. Diana simply tilted her head and eyed him with thought. That moment, John felt his body seize and grunted against the feeling. He looked to see Diana with her hand reached out towards him.

"I see now." She said to John as he struggled to free himself from her grasp. "That is why you were able to break through his barrier so easily. My son has a bond with you." Diana then appeared to examine John further and her eyes widened slightly. "I'll need to break that bond." John then felt a constant pain in his forehead that made him scream, the pain in his face making Diana sigh. "The pain is only temporary." Trevor, standing a few feet away from them, looked on with an oddly blank expression on his face with a single tear escaping his eye as John fell to his knees. Then, the trio heard a voice call out, causing the pain John felt to fall behind in his mind.

"John?" The man looked to where the voice came from and saw Cesaro standing in front of the doorway of the home looking down at all of them. The man lifted himself into the air and descended in front of Diana to face John who managed to stand to his feet. Diana decided to remain where she was with a soft smile, seemingly waiting and listening as she felt Cesaro's mind fill with emotion.

"Claudio." John said weakly as the pain in his head slowly subsided." Are you okay?" Cesaro did not answer him. Instead, he shook his head.

"What are you doing here?" He asked the man, a chill underlining his tone.

"We were… I was worried about you." Cesaro's face slowly filled with pain.

"Why?" He asked John. "After all this time, why worry about me?" John looked at his friend with confusion.

"What are you talking about?" He asked. "You're my friend. Of course I'm gonna worry about you." Cesaro shook his head.

"No, John. You have your own life now. You have a life with Nikki to build. Don't waste time on me when you should be spending it with her."

That moment, John remembered the story that Nikki told him and any doubt he had was ripped away, Cesaro's words being all the confirmation he needed. The feeling nearly brought John to tears as he tried to find the words to respond. Diana smiled with content as she noticed her son begin to emotionally crumble in front of her. Her eyes then began to glow her signature crimson glow as she placed her hand on her son's shoulder, rendering him motionless aside from the solitary tear rolling down his face.

"Yes." She said, making John look at her with confusion. "There it is." John furrowed his brow.

"What are you talking about?" He asked Diana. "What are you doing to Claudio?" Diana smiled.

"I am liberating him." She responded. Cesaro's eyes began to fill with gold and ruby swirls of energy. "What he absorbed in his attempt to protect all of you was no solar flare. It was a part of me… a part of my essence left behind after being torn asunder by my siblings before they destroyed the other stones and themselves. I could feel my power within him and so I tried to use him to right my wrongs. I wanted to use him to undo this planet so that I could rebuild it the way it was intended. However, Claudio fought against me… with every fiber of his being." Diana then looked to her son. "That was when I saw it… that was when I knew what needed to be done."

John blinked as he listened to Diana's words, unable to find his own. He looked at Cesaro and he appeared to be an empty shell of the man John knew him to be. It was then that John realized Diana's true reason for coming to their planet.

"… So you came to do what he wouldn't." John said to her.

"… What he couldn't." Diana corrected. "His mind would not allow me control with his will and emotions intact, so I knew then what I needed to do." Diana then smiled at John. "I must extend my gratitude to you, John Cena. I likely would not have been able to access his mind fully had you not appealed to his emotions… his weakness." Diana then carefully placed her hand on Cesaro's chest and the area began to emit a golden energy. "Now I can finally take everything from him… my essence, his power… all of it… so that I may fulfill its true purpose."

That moment, Diana pulled her hand back from Cesaro's chest and a swirl of red and gold energy drawn from his body followed her fingertips. John looked on in horror as it seemed the woman was pulling at Cesaro's body physically, his face emotionless as his back arched towards her while she continued to absorb the energy. Diana closed her eyes and reached out her other hand as if to amplify her attempt to draw her son's power out of his body. John looked back into the eyes of his friend and saw another tear slowly fall from his eye and it was then that he knew Cesaro's life was being drawn away from him.

"Stop it!" John shouted. "You'll kill him!" without moving, Diana spoke in a bloody tone.

"A regrettable… but necessary sacrifice." John's eyes widened as he took in her words.

"You can't just strip his powers from him, Diana!" John shouted. Diana shut her eyes and then, in her mind, began to hear the voices of several people shouting and explosions that all seemed to come from miles away. She then heard John shout at her once more.

"You're his mother!" He said. "Don't do this! Think about his feelings! Think about how much he loves you and how much you love him! It's that love that made you his mother. You'll lose him if-" Before John could finish, he heard an earth-shattering shout.

"Enough!" Diana screamed with distortion in her voice. That moment, she emitted a massive pulse of energy from where she stood, its force knocking John and Trever several feet away from where they stood. The pulse of energy also sent waves through the cerulean sky and caused it to crack open. The atmosphere filled with crimson red light, a loud shatter was heard throughout the air, and the light dissipated to reveal the harsh night sky. The walls of energy that once stood tall to shield them away from the rest of the world had fallen, and everyone on the outside of them had been knocked off their feet by the blow. When everyone came to, they all saw Diana and Cesaro standing side by side, though it was Diana who had everyone's attention. Her body was encased in what appeared to be flames of crimson and gold, and her once ephemeral facial features had been twisted into unholy rage. She turned her hellish gaze directly to John Cena, the man still on his back with his eyes fixed onto her.

"You…" Diana began angrily. "You preach to me of 'feelings'. You plead emotion as if it were gospel guiding my consideration while you fail to see that it was emotion that fueled Claudio's descent into madness! You all stand and attempt to fight against me for his scorched heart when it was you who set it ablaze! You wish to lay blame upon someone? See your reflections!" Diana then reached her hand out to Cesaro's motionless body and he began to emit his signature golden aura, proceeded to draw it into her hand.

"W-what… is she doing?" Stephanie weakly asked her brother as she sat up.

"She's taking Claudio's power from him!" John shouted. "If she gets it, she'll kill us all! We have to stop her!" He then stood to his feet and unleashed his eye beams upon Diana only for her to collect the energy into a ball and throw it back at him, the energy knocking him backwards and burning his chest.

"John!" Nikki shouted as she ran to his side. His body was covered in his red energy as he lied motionless on the ground. Ronda looked over at the two and then back at Diana. She slammed her hand on her wrist device, but she was telekinetically snatched into the air before she could do anything further.

"General!" One of her soldiers screamed as they all witnessed Ronda be held up by her arm, the woman screaming as if her arm were to rip from its socket at any moment. Diana fixed her gaze upon Ronda's struggling form.

"The conceit of you humans…" Diana said as her fiery aura continued to glow. "Trifling in affairs for which you hold no consequence." The woman used her energy to destroy the device on Ronda's wrist. "The most inferior of creations." Diana then telekinetically flung Ronda away from her. Macey picked herself up off the ground and used her powers to fly to Ronda and allow her body to slam into hers, then immediately encased them both in her blue energy before they both hit the ground with a violent thud. Diana then reached her crimson energy out to everyone and knocked them all back to the ground.

"…You will resist no more." She said before turning her attention back to Cesaro and continuing to siphon his energy. Before she could act any further, she heard a familiar voice scream out to her.

"Stop!" It was Trevor. He was running towards Diana when she reached her power out to grab him and pull him towards her.

"You." She said. "I give you the gift of a second chance and betrayal is the recompense." She then reached her power around Trevor's neck and tightened, causing the man to gasp for breath.

"You're… hurting Claudio." Trevor said as he struggled to breathe. "…Miss Diana…" That moment, without blinking, Diana used her power to draw the life force out of Trevor, the man's eyes beginning to lose their luster and his body filling with bullet holes.

"I no longer have a use for you, child." Diana said as she continued to absorb Trevor's life force. She then felt a massive force strike her from her side causing her to release her grip on Trevor and fly off several feet from where she was until she stopped her momentum. After quickly collecting herself and absorbing the energy that hit her, she looked over and saw her son Cesaro breathing heavily and reaching out at her with his hands covered in gold and crimson energy. Diana looked at him with pain in her face.

"You would strike me?" She asked her son. Cesaro eyed her as he continued to catch his breath.

"Diana." Cesaro replied. "Why are you doing this?"

"Corruption, my child. Corruption and purging this corruption." Diana then reached her power towards his fallen comrades. Cesaro noticed, flew in front of them and used more of his power to put up a telekinetic dome to shield them all from Diana's power. He then felt himself begin to slowly weaken. Shane looked at Cesaro as the man used his power to protect them. They all then saw Diana withdraw her power and heard her speak in a rather condescending tone.

"These people do not deserve your protection, Claudio." She said. "Why risk losing yourself for them?" Cesaro turned himself around to face his mother.

"The same reason you risked your life for Father." He said to her. "The same reason you risked your life for me. They are my family… and I will protect them no matter what I have to do." Diana shook her head as she saw the determination in her son's eyes.

"Do not make the same mistakes I have, Claudio." Diana said to Cesaro. When she noticed that he had not moved she knew that her words fell upon deaf ears. Her soft gaze hardened. "You disappoint me. I wished for you to take your place at my side, but I know see that you have chosen to die with these creatures." Diana's energy began to swirl around her once again. "Very well." She then fired another energy bolt at Cesaro's shield only for the shield to absorb the damage. Cesaro used his power to hold the shield and looked back up at his mother with tears in his eyes after hearing her callous words.

"I won't let you take them, Mother!" He shouted at her. Then, without dropping the dome around his friends, he flew towards Diana and managed to throw an energy bolt of his own at her. Diana did not move, however, instead absorbing the energy into herself. She then flew higher into the sky and Cesaro followed her before throwing another bolt at her. The result remained the same with Diana consuming the energy. Diana and Cesaro flew all around the sky, their energies lighting up the night like lightning with every bolt Cesaro threw.

Down below, The McMahons and the other Alpha Humans helplessly watched the spectacular display of power between Mother and Son as they flew across the sky. Sami noticed Diana was passive in her approach to Cesaro and that Cesaro was quickly getting weaker. It was then that he realized why.

"She's draining his energy from him." He said aloud.

"What?" Ronda responded as she looked over at Sami.

"Everything Claudio's throwing at her is made of his energy. If she wants it, all she has to do is take his bolts head on and absorb the energy in them." John grew increasingly worried.

"Oh no." He said, still gripping the wound on his chest. He then shouted up at Cesaro. "Claudio! Stop it! She's draining your power! Stop fighting her!" His shouting was for naught as Cesaro continued to chase his mother in the air. He then fired a stronger bolt at her, the action giving him pause as he began to feel winded between the bolts of energy and holding the shield down below. Diana took a deep breath as she felt her own energy rising slowly thanks to Cesaro.

"This…" Diana started. "… is my final offer, child. Stop this madness and join me." She eyed her son and saw his golden aura and the pulses of gold in his veins slowly fading. A smile lined her face. "You will not win this fight, Claudio. You lack the knowledge of your Celestial birthright. Your Alpha Human powers are no match for me." Diana then

Cesaro looked at the woman he once called his mother. Her eyes no longer had the love and care he remembered then having. Her face was lined with hardened callousness and her body gave off an ominous glow of red with flickers of gold. He struggled to breathe as he felt his energy fading with each exhale. Cesaro knew that he could exhaust himself at any moment if he kept his pace, but he knew no other way to protect his friends. Cesaro blinked and then his eyes widened as he gathered the remainder of his psychic energy. His skin began to fill with glowing gold veins Cesaro let out a deafening battle cry and fired a large beam of energy at Diana and, like the many moments before, she began to absorb it. He held the stream of energy until he felt the energy pull from within him.

"Yes… " Diana said maniacally as she drained Cesaro's energy until his body levitated motionless in the air. Diana took the shining gold energy into her body with a satisfied sigh and the shield that once protected the others had dissipated. The woman looked at her son's body and the Mine Stone still gleaming in his chest. She floated towards Cesaro and then reached her hand out towards the stone.

"Why…" Cesaro asked weakly. Diana shut her eyes.

"You have seen what has been done with the gift of life." Diana responded. "You know the deceit, the hatred, the apathy. They do not deserve life… and they do not deserve you." Diana then reached her hand out to the Mind Stone. Unable to resist her, Cesaro felt the stone be ripped from his body. At the same moment, John felt a pain in his chest that felt as if his heart had been torn in half. They all saw Cesaro's body falling from the sky and knew what had happened. Diana had succeded.

"No!" John shouted. "Claudio!"
