Danny came home with a smile on his face. After his date with his now-girlfriend Gwen, he was on top of the world. Even the Box Ghost pestering him with another "attack" could shake his mood.

His joy was infectious, as his parents noticed, joining with their smiles.

"Hey there, Danno. How was your second date?" Jack Fenton asked.

"It was great! But Gwen got picked for this reality show, so that I won't be seeing her again for eight weeks," Danny answered with a slight frown.

"That's too bad, son, but after that, you're going to be dating a reality star Danny Boy," Jack pumped his fist with his ever-lasting optimism. "If she's dating a Fenton, she's gonna win!"

Danny blinked, recalling Gwen during their date. Her stern face would help her survive, probably, but who knows what would happen.

"I don't know that Gwen will be a reality star, but there is more to her than that. She is smart, but she's even more goth than Sam. I don't know how television will go with that," Danny told his father.

'So you have a type for goths, do you, Danny Boy?" Jack gave a teasing smile, making his son confused.

"What do you mean?" Danny asked

"Clueless," Jack muttered under his breath.

"Why does everyone keep on calling me that?" The ghost boy mulled over the thought as he sat down.

None of his family answered, just minding their business with knowing smiles. It seemed like Danny was on a reality prank show for a moment, but he knew his family better. His father couldn't hold a secret or surprise for his life unless it involved ghosts.

Maddie, his mother, giggled at the ghost boy as she and her husband watched their child go upstairs. She knew he would want some time to himself. Of course, eight weeks without seeing his new girlfriend would bother anyone, but the parents raised their son to, hopefully, be more patient.

But that was not the only obstacle.

"So…how do you think Sam's gonna react?" Maddie's face froze as she spoke, her smile forced.

"No clue, but she's not gonna take it well." Jack mirrored his wife's expression of dread.

Sam had been Danny's best friend, but this goth was not known for being happy when the latter took an interest in another girl. And with said love interest being another goth, anyone who knew would step back for whatever hit the fan.

"Wanna let Jazz or Tucker give the bad news?" Jack asked.

"Definitely." Maddie dragged the word through the mud. She leads her husband to the basement/lab, pushing the chore to others. Ghost fighting put more precedence over teenage drama.

Danny went to his room and logged onto his computer. Opening the web browser, he typed in the show Gwen and auditioned.

"What was it called? Total Drama…Island?" Danny typed the words as he found the official website. "It looks like summer camp."

The ghost boy had been put through the wringer as ghosts threatened his town while messing up his struggles in high school. From trying to skin him alive to cloning him, his enemies were relentless, yet the daily fights became nothing more than a habit. But a memory of the last camp he went to make him shudder.

"If ghosts can barely make the camp look…ok, I think Gwen's going to be in for a ride." Danny brought a finger to his face. "Then again, how bad could reality TV be?"

As the night took over, so did a sense of jinxing dread fill the ghost boy. It took a lot to push away the feelings and have faith Gwen would be alright.

Who knows? Maybe she'll win.

While Danny would have to wait eight weeks, he would have less time to see a goth. Something Tucker found out the hard way.

The techno-geek had gotten out of bed and was ready to hang out as he opened the door. But o his surprise, Sam was just about to ring the doorbell, dropping her arm as she saw the entrance open.

"Tucker!" Sam yelled, hugging the boy.

At first, Tucker was not sure what to think. While not the darkest person in her social clique, the goth girl was never known to be a hugger, let alone express such emotions. Which brought out the following statement:

"Who are you, and what have you done with Sam?"

Despite the comment, Sam's smile did not drop. Instead, she let go with a sly face and crossed arms.

"It's nice to see you too," Sam snarked, making her friend happy.

"It is you! Sorry about that, but since when do you hug…anyone?" Tucker now recognized his best friend.

"Try being around my parents all summer, trying to 'educate me' on the finer things in life," Sam said, air quoting with her fingers. "I swear, my folks wouldn't know the finer things in life unless it had a price tag!"

"That bad?" Tucker droned.

"Ever been to lunch with Gabriel Agreste?"

"Who?"

"Some fashion designer who made teachers seem like kittens, innocent kittens that just want a hug."

Tucker hissed through his teeth, not wanting to imagine what that meal must have been like.

Anyway, let's stop talking about me. What's been happening with you and Danny? I imagine the ghost must've been the only thing exciting," Sam giggled, finding a daily pain refreshing.

Now that was scary.

Tucker gave a partially forced smile as he recalled his various experiences during the dating service. It wasn't that he wanted to risk being laughed at, but he knew Sam's jealous streak. And when he found out Danny got a girlfriend, he did not want to be in firing range when she went off.

"Danny and I—" Tucker began sweating, his body shaking like an earthquake. But his hand was yanked as he was rushed down the street.

"You know what? We'll catch up when we meet Danny. I need to hang out with real people before I crack," Sam said, unaware of her ironic choice of words.

Danny had been listlessly watching television as he slouched on the couch. He had been watching reality shows all day, making him sink more into the soft cushions. Anymore submerged, one would need help distinguishing the ghost boy from the furniture.

"Wow…reality shows are boring," Danny yawned, getting up to stretch. "I guess Gwen has nothing to worry about."

The doorbell rang, energizing him as he got up for something more engaging. But his mods elevated more as he saw one and both of his best friends.

"Tucker! Sam!" Danny leaned in and hugged the two. The latter gave a small blush as she returned the gesture. "It's so good to see you!"

"You must be if you're greeting us like this," Sam snarked.

"Is everyone hugging today?" Tucker muttered.

"What's with you, Tuck?" Danny giggled as he let go. "It's not like you've been watching reality TV all day."

A thumb pointed over the ghost boy, gesturing to the television and its content viewing. The two friends gave raised brows and strange faces.

"Uh…Danny? Why are you watching that junk?" Sam asked.

Danny led his formers inside, saying how it was a long story. Then, going back to the couch, the trio helped themselves to some snacks that had been laid out, which Tucker helped himself to a few, stuffing his face.

"Sheesh, Tuck, slow down. It's not like you've been forced to eat nothing but high-society cuisine all summer," Sam remarked as she took two bags. She shuddered as she remembered the time her parents ordered escargot, forgetting how snails were not on a vegan, or ultra-recycled-vegetarian, as the girl called it, diet.

"I guess things aren't going too well? What happened with Velma?" Danny pondered out loud.

Tucker choked on a snack. He reached for a can of soda and chugged the drink dry in record time. Calmed down, he stared at his friend as Sam gave an inquisitive face.

"Dude, Velma is still on that cross-country mystery-solving trip with her friends. So we're not going to get a chance for a second date till later," Tucker remarked.

"Wait! Tucker got a girlfriend!?" Sam shot up as she stared.

Now Tucker resumed his mouth stuffing, avoiding the spotlight. Too bad for him, Danny was not as silent.

"Yeah, we were bored, so Tucker and I signed up for a dating service," Danny explained. His voice held pure innocence, unaware of the growing jealousy in Sam. "Long story short, Tucker and I found someone, but he needed to change things before finding the right girl."

Sam stood in shock as she heard the words "dating service" and "girlfriends," rage now burning her blood, but her face held a forced, empty smile.

"Really?" Sam said through her teeth, stuck together as if glued. "How did you hear about this?"

Tucker's eyes bolted to the front door, sweat permeating from every pore.

"Tucker told me about it. I gotta say, I wasn't sure at first, but now I can't help thanking him." Danny smiled at his tech-loving friend.

Tucker gulped, giving a nervous smile as Sam's gaze intensified.

"You don't say," Sam replied slowly.

"Really. He actually had to ask a couple of times before I joined. But I gotta say, it was worth it," Danny added.

Tucker positioned himself to zoom out at a moment's notice.

"But here's something you might funny. Gwen's a goth too."

Those words shattered the anger and fear as Sam's face dropped. Her body sagged with a reclined back as she slowly turned toward Danny.

"What?" Sam asked.

"Excuse me?" Tucker was now curious and concerned for his friend.

"Gwen. She's a goth, but you won't be able to see her as she auditions for this new reality show and gets chosen. She won't be back for eight weeks." Danny scratched the back of his head, blushing innocently. "That's actually why I was watching those shows. I was wondering what she'd be going through."

Sam said not a word as the world went dark. She put a hand on her heart but was sure it had disappeared, empty like the void. For all her conformations to the gothic culture, this was the first time she actually felt sorrow and pain.

For so long, her feelings for Danny had been obvious to many except the ghost boy himself, and now she hears he found a girlfriend who complied with the same teenage clique as herself.

She was, to put it in one word, shattered.

Sitting back down, the goth listened as Danny went on, barely listening as Tucker stayed, worried for both of his friends.

I want to thank Be Con Fuzzy Writer for helping me with this chapter. He is a co-writer of this story. Also, I want to thank Flower Princess 11 for letting me do this story. The Phantom and the Witch series will be coming out soon.

For the Total Drama episode I'm going to adapt will be episode that has Gwen as the focus. I might do episode one
