Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Waves of Ice. Enjoy the 5200-word chapter. I do not own either, Scholastic, Coolkyoushinja and a few others do.

Byvym and Tsunami only returned to the sky an hour later. She had been impressed he had been willing to sit on the beach and watch the stars for so long.

She still savored his reaction to seeing she could swim in the ocean. Apparently? She had learned it was rare for dragons to be able to do this and it made her all the prouder.

She hummed and looked to the side, looking at Byvym as the two flew for the mountains so humans would not see them. She had been weirded out by the fact that scavengers ruled this world, it had been clear he was right as her nose smelled humans for miles.

She had been too interested in this world… Well, interested in if this world was dangerous. Byvym stayed silent as they landed on the hill, he hummed to himself otherwise.

"So… Seawings, they don't exist here, neither does any other groups," Tsunami asked.

"Far as I know," Byvym said with a shrug. "Why do you call every single species 'wing?'" Byvym stated.

"I don't know, I didn't make the names up," Tsunami said. "What about you? Mr. Wyvern? You said Wyverns have two arm wings but you look like you have back wings." Tsunami said.

"The first few groups of Wyverns used to. Not the ones left." Byvym said as he snorted. "Why? Think it's weird some dragons are different like that? Because there's a lot of dragons like that home." Byvym stated before he sighed and snorted.

He was silent after this, letting himself rest as he looked at her, interested.

"I heard Wyverns have them as a boat does. One part keeps us in the air, another lets us steer better." Byvym stated as he sighed. "I'm going to guess all Seawings can breathe underwater, glow in the dark, and are pure blue?" Byvym stated with interest.

"I… Don't know, I've barely met a few." Tsunami said, her voice finally quiet.

"You sound like you're the boss of that little group of dragons you came with," Byvym stated. "I'm going to take a guess and say that you're the oldest of the group," Byvym stated.

Byvym stayed silent before he seemed to be dealt with for now as she paused to try and think of what was growing on his mind before she looked to the side.

She appeared to have zero actual clue as to what was going on and zero ideas of what was growing in her brain. Not once did she understand it and not once did it help. It felt more like there was an attempt to understand her rather than himself.

To be fair? She had zero clue what was growing in her brain and neither did he.

He yawned, wanting it all to go one certain way. Perhaps it was or perhaps it was not, something was not matching up and he knew it more and more. That and that alone meant something to him in his little way, not that he minded it.

Byvym could only think of what was growing on his mind, thinking of it best.

There were a lot of measures to which he could not have dealt with and did not wish to… He had a lot more to try and teach her, a lot more than that might continue to have been a treat.

Tsunami was silent for a few moments after this, perhaps because it was something inside him yearned to be let out. He was amused, too interested in what was going to have to happen next. He had a few seconds to try and understand her.

To be fair? Byvym had some ideas of what she could do and it was not pretty.

She had so much left on her mind before now and she had tested his patience. She had been able to try and figure it out at the end of the day.

Byvym found that amusing, she had been able to try and deal with it for now as she paused to try and let it all come out for now as she paused to try and think for but a second.

Byvym hummed, rubbing at his snout as the two looked over the Earth, it was clear that this planet was something else, something beyond all chaos like now.

She had not the desire to let it end like this as she looked to Byvym as he hummed, thinking of what was growing on her mind.

"Tired?" Byvym asked, folding his wings in on his back before rubbing at the nape of his neck with his tail. "I am honestly rather thrown off for now, not once did I encounter a dragon who had been so different," Byvym stated before he paused before he sighed to let himself end it.

Byvym had been too silent, too unwilling, too eager to try and deal with it for now.

"Hmm," Byvym stated before he sighed to himself and then looked to the side.

He was too interested in the moment, in her. This woman was something else, she was honestly too amused to try and say something. She had no desire to try and deal with it for now as it came crashing for now to the ground.

She had no real desire to let it all come crashing to the ground, too much was growing for now. Tsunami paused to try and figure out what was happening in her mind before now as she thought of it.

She was eager to figure it out next as it came down to it once more. She crossed her arms and then paused to try and understand her move for now.

She clicked her fingers and then snapped her jaws shut a moment later, expecting some massive lecture from him on this front, knowing what was to occur, and relax once more before she sighed to herself before she paused.

Byvym hummed before he relaxed for now as it came down to it as of now… Such an issue was more than she could not handle for now. She had no real desire to be dealt with it until it came crashing down to the ground.

"Why do the dragons in your place fight each other?" Tsunami asked before she tapped her fingers on the ground.

"Because they do not agree with each other. like every single war happens, why? Do you think I know a lot? I am a high-ranking member… But there are a thousand different little groups in the Harmony Dragons…" Byvym stated.

He knew even his house was just another puppet. Neither side cared about anything for now, not once did it come down to it as he was able to calm himself.

Byvym watched her hum, her blue ocean eyes holding some pity as she thought of what was to happen next.

"There is war in your world, isn't there? And something tells me you have gotten blood on your talons." Byvym said.

"You could say that Byvym," Tsunami said.

"I do not enjoy war if you are asking. Fighting? Yes, taking down monsters and enemies? Yes. Bloodshed? It depends on who I am shedding it from." Byvym said.

"Clay and Sunny would not like you… Their big softies on that." Tsunami said.

"You sound like my cousin… Always wanting to claw the nearest enemy and go burning them to ash." Byvym said.

"Maybe I like that," Tsunami said. "The water and ice breath thing? That is new," Tsunami said.

"Is not to me. Water dragons can do it all the damn time, boil water in their bellies and then shoot it out like fire… Burns people good enough either way." Byvym said.

Tsunami hummed before he looked at her.

"There are no gods in your world, are there?" Byvym asked to which she shook her head.

"Nope, and don't even mention fate or I'll knock you upside the head," Tsunami said.

"Like to see you try, kelp for scales," Byvym said.

"Hotheaded moron," Tsunami said as the two chortled.

"I'd kick your scaly ass up and down this mountain," Byvym said as she smirked.

"Uh, no. I'd whup you." Tsunami said as Byvym snorted.

"Bring it," Byvym said, flashing his fangs as the two dragons rushed the other.

Byvym felt her slam him to the ground only for him to roll, using his tail to drag her to the ground, he flew up just as she climbed to her feet.

"Scaly whale." Byvym snarked before she smirked and backed up to slam into him like a missile, knowing them both to the ground before he paused to let it come down to it.

She smirked as she looked at him, watching him slam into the ground, using his claws to slide back along the ground.

Byvym knew what was going on and knew what would happen next. He had been tired, worn down to the ground. Yet? A taste of combat was just what he needed to rev his engine and get back into the fight.

Byvym smirked, letting himself brush the cut off. She sighed at him before she suddenly belched a massive amount of water at him, scorching the stone as he leaped backward.

Byvym only glanced at her, blinking as she thought of what was growing in her brain, knowing what was going to happen if the water hit him.

Byvym responded by slamming into her, flapping his wings to get a few feet off the ground then slamming her into the ground. She grunted as Byvym rolled away.

"Like I said, boiling water… That burns the skin off your face as it's made out of paper." Byvym said before he brushed off his scales. "You hit way too hard to be young, Tsunami… What makes you think you're less than a teenager?" Byvym asked.

"You don't know how dragons age, do you? Every few years for us is a few for humans." Byvym stated.

"I am 18, Tsunami…. Dragons live for thousands of years where I come from. You barely look any younger than I do which means the others would similarly be as old." Byvym stated.

"Wait, what!?" Tsunami asked as Byvym snorted.

"You're older than you were wherever you were born. Ask any dragon from my world. They'd tell you the same thing." Byvym stated. "Anyway? You fight well, let's go find Lucoa. She will make sure your siblings are good, she won't harm anyone." Byvym stated before he sighed.

Byvym could tell she was not of his world, her scales were odd, and her stance did not look like a single dragon from his world.

He hummed to himself, knowing that he had to help her. He was not a monster and he was too interested in what was growing on his mind.

Byvym was silent, knowing the next real thing would have been dealing with her either way.

He snorted, not wanting to let it end. She would help, she had been able to fight? She would not let something happen to her friends, something he respected to be entirely fair.

Byvym yawned, letting himself slouch to the ground now. He was tired and he was exhausted to the end, knowing what would become of it.

Byvym decided only to relax and let her pause, letting it all come to a close before he relaxed. He was tired, and worn down, and he was eager to let it end. That saved her from another fight between them, not wanting it to end.

She was too interested in the next move… She would be a skilled warrior and he saw the makings of a leader within her… However? He could find only silence awaiting him.

Byvym was silent, he would not let this end for now at the end of the day. She was tired, too interested in what was growing on the brain either way.

She wouldn't allow it to happen either blasted way, she wouldn't allow it to happen now, and for good reason.

He felt tired, he paused to let himself yawn before he sighed, knowing what would become of it at the end of the day. There was just too much to try and deal with it for now and for good reason it was.

So much had been dealing with it now. Such was life and life seemed odd like that either blasted way. The only real difference was the exhaustion he seemed to be dealing with it for now as she paused.

Byvym hummed, yawning to himself before he sighed, not at all interested in what was growing on his mind before he relaxed.

Byvym yawned before he clicked his fingers and leaned on the wall, humming as he paused to try and collect his thoughts… The amusement was written all across his face.

Byvym watched as Tsunami seemed to be slowly letting it all come to her brain, she was thrown off for now, not wanting to let it all end.

"Tired after being thrown across a mountain?" Byvym stated before he sighed to let himself relax, he had been tired, worn down to the bone either way.

Byvym stayed silent before he sighed to let himself relax, knowing what was to occur for the moment.

"Very funny, scales for brains." Byvym heard before he sighed to himself as he yawned. "You're from a different planet, my world is fighting a war… And I want to go find my mom, at least get the Seawings to listen to." Tsunami stated.

"Your people don't listen?" Byvym stated.

"They listen to my mom, Queen Coral," Tsunami stated.

"Your mom is a QUEEN!?" Byvym asked before he blinked and hummed. "I understand why you are scared for now," Byvym stated.

"Being Princess is not a big whoop," Tsunami said.

"Because of the work?" Byvym joked. "That or the fact you don't get to boss people around?" Byvym asked a hint of amusement written all across his face.

He was silent, too interested in what he could have done. Perhaps she would continue to let it all end for now.

He was fascinated by this but his look made it very clear he did not look at her differently for being a princess.

Byvym sighed, thinking of what he would do next before he sighed to himself. Byvym closed his eyes to let himself before he thought of what Lucoa would say, then he thought of Tsunami, pondering what this woman seemed to think.

She was an odd little dragon, a princess plucked from time and planted in the world. Now? Now he had zero idea of what was going on, not that he could affect it if he did know. He had a very massive clue that she was not screwing him over.

She sighed to let it come down to it as she paused to let it all end for now as she let it all come crashing down to the ground in a ball of fire.

All that was left was to let it all come down to it as she seemed relaxed once again, tired, unsure of herself before now. Byvym hummed to himself, coiling her tail around her.

She rubbed at her scales which glowed in the dark, they lit up the area around her, knowing what she was like at the end.

Tsunami looked at him, her scales glowing in a way that made her look like a bit of coral than a dragon. He blinked to himself and then thought for but a few seconds and then smiled with amusement.

"What?" Tsunami asked.

"You look like a night light," Byvym stated before he got a whack to the side. "And you hit like a tree," Byvym stated before he smiled.

"What is a nightlight?" Tsunami asked.

"An object humans use to light up their homes… I have been to Earth at least a few times… This planet is weird." Byvym stated before he hummed. "But you still look like a night light," Byvym stated before he paused.

Tsunami snorted, guessing that she was going to be messing with him as much as she put up with Glory, it was as odd to try and understand as before, knowing what was growing in her brain.

She didn't even know what was happening. what she did know was this world was unique, it wasn't like home and it wasn't like her world but she felt some familiarity with it, as if she had been here before.

To be fair? She had no idea what the magic that had brought her here was, that was for Starflight as of the time being.

She knew he was a warrior, perhaps like her. He didn't seem to believe this was a massive setback and she didn't act like it was one. She also could tell he used magic easily, not animus magic, he seemed to draw on it as easily as one would a tool.

"Is magic…?" Tsunami asked.

"Common for dragons? Yep, just varies how strong with magic one us… How do you think you became a human? That is how all dragons can do that." Byvym stated.

"Don't know how this is, do you?" Byvym asked before he scratched at his nose.

She looked to the side, not willing to let himself think. She hated thinking as she wasn't a thinker, a warrior, and a leader. Hell yeah, anything else? Nope.

To be fair? She was a soldier and a very skilled one at that, it made more sense when push came to shove what kind of person she was.

She would never allow a single person to tell her who she was, she was a warrior and one defined by pain.

She paused to let it all come down to it as of now, she was too eager to fight through it for that to matter, too unable to let it all end.

Though Tsunami didn't know if she minded losing, there was little going on at the end of the day.

She would not be able to relax, knowing what would and what has been would be impossible to deal with, knowing what was to occur, not wanting it to be this way was something else.

Byvym could do nothing more than relax, he could not let it end for now as he paused to let it all end for the time.

He sighed, pausing to himself before he finally let himself relax, he had been unable to go in the other reaction for now… There were a lot of ideas that caused no amount of grief.

'She doesn't know about the war going on in my world… As she doesn't seem to know Seawings might be different here, it makes me question a lot of things… Part of it seems to be growing easier and easier to deal with it.' Byvym stated.

Byvym rubbed at his snout, looking upwards and into the sky. He could stay on this mountain for a far longer time, he paused to let himself relax, not wishing to let it end sooner or later.

She seemed to be dealing with a small little amount of pain as she sighed.

"You tired?" Byvym asked before he sighed, interested in what he could do. "There is plenty of places to go and relax now," Byvym stated as he raised himself to his feet.

It was clear he was still somewhat equal in height to her, interested in the power between them both for now. Byvym rose, fire radiating from his scales like a furnace as the beast looked over at her, his eyes glowing crimson.

"Wyverns aren't anything like regular dragons, are they?" Byvym heard.

"No, we are not. Neither are Drakes and Wyrms." Byvym stated, pausing to think of what was growing on his mind.

Byvym smirked, his mouth parting like that of a portal to another world. He glanced at her who had a similar smirk written upon her cerulean muzzle. She could only fathom what he had planned but it was blasted clear she had a lot on her mind.

"Drakes?" Tsunami asked to which Byvym hummed.

"Drakes don't fly, their giant lizards who only have legs, Wyrms are giant noodle dragons without legs… Wyverns have giant bat wings… Though some of us evolved with 4 because of mixing blood." Byvym explained, waving a wing as he did so.

She stayed silent, her brows furrowing as she thought of what to ask Byvym. He was fairly smart enough to understand what this world was like.

The dragon looked at her. He smirked, eager to relax, to cut through it to an end, he had zero desire to let it all go to the wolves.

(With Lucoa)

Lucoa could tell these dragons were nothing compared to them but it was clear that they were not entirely different from everyone else, she had been desiring a different outcome.

She glanced at them, looking them up and down like one would inspect cattle at a market. She could tell they were very different from the soldiers of the time which helped very much.

They were silent, knowing what was going on at the end of the day… Such was life and he relaxed, knowing what it was and what had been done, an idea which he could have done, knowing that the next move was just as treasonous.

She couldn't even begin to question their pain, knowing what was done with for now, knowing it was harder and harder himself to have relaxed for now.

He had no desire to deal with it for now, knowing what was growing on it for now, he sighed in a way that felt so tiresome, so relaxing it almost didn't matter.

"Your friend is safe… He's a relaxing little soldier… I've never known Byvym to be that hostile." Elma stated.

"No, but Tsunami can be." Glory stated.

"You don't look like normal dragons." He heard, pausing to look down at the ground.

Clay looked at Lucoa, he glanced at her despite her size, knowing what was growing on his mind to the end, either way as it came crashing down.

He still didn't know who she was and yet? He was far too convinced she wasn't a monster, knowing what was growing on his mind, knowing what was happening next, there was a few seconds of silence as the small dragon looked at her.

She could crush them 50 times with her tail and not even blink but she was nice enough to spare them more than anything else, knowing what was becoming of it to the end of it.

"Who are you?" She heard as she chuckled.

"A dragon, just like yourself," Lucoa stated. "I'm just not interested in war at the end of the day, knowing what would become of it," Lucoa stated.

She was silent, amused more the Clay could have possibly been like. There were no such problems at the moment she couldn't easily solve… But she did not, not simply because of the problem… But because it was harder and harder to relax either way.

What he could do was simple, he could fight. However? that would harm more and more people at the moment, relaxed for more than a little he didn't wish to have done and dusted.

Perhaps it was odd but he didn't wish to relax and let it all come winding to the ground, knowing what was and what wasn't seemed to be tiring.

There was nothing else, nothing he would let happen next. Clay was a soldier and he relaxed, for now, there was something else to end either way.

Lucoa could see the chaos in his eyes, knowing what was growing ever more when push came to shove for now as it came down to something far beyond the pale.

This was far beyond what had been done and dusted to the end when such and it would remain that way either way.

She could tell they were lost soldiers either way, knowing what was growing slowly and surely within the manner, it was finally completed within for good reason.

He had a desire to end it for now. He had not been able to relax, knowing what came next and that was enough for him to understand what was going on.

Such was life. He had no greater desire to see it all enough for now.

"So, uh… What is your world like?" Clay asked before he finally sighed and then fell silent, knowing what was going on.

He would not falter, would not rest either way. He had no real idea what was growing on his mind.

(With Tsunami and Byvym)

Byvym glanced at the sky. Normally? This was when most of the soldiers he had dealt with would come raining fire down from the ground, he had no desire to let it escape him… Not now, no there was more to this.

Tsunami looked down to the ground. She could not process the idea that he was so silent that he would continue shutting up like this.

To be fair? Byvym was too silent for a reason and she knew it. She was tired and relaxed all the same, knowing what it was all like.

He rubbed at his nose, sighing as he clicked an eyebrow, eyes narrowing like small little doors to his soul.

She was a warrior first and foremost and he was a soldier who had been through war enough to see the part of her she had lost.

If they were to fight again? He would relax, knowing what was going on now, and for good, there was something more to this.

He sighed to himself, knowing what would become of it as he clicked his fingers against one another as he sighed to himself.

He had been able to try and deal with it once more, tired and knowing what was happening next.

"There's a lot more to do before either of us go home… So, unless you have some plans? I am gonna find somewhere I can get some sleep later." Byvym stated before he clicked his fingers.

He leaned on the wall before he knew what was growing on before now as he clicked his fingers. Byvym stated before he seemed to finally think before he relaxed once more.

He rubbed at his nose. He was unable to do much as he set his hands on the stone before he pushed himself up from the ground, slowly starting to fly up and into the air before he relaxed his wings.

She vexed him in manners no dragon could claim to. This woman drove him up and down a wall, it was amusing to a degree whatever he could relax for now and he would not be able to think of it.

He was too fascinated. Well, thrown off more by her than anything he had dealt with then, it was not something a dragon like him regularly dealt with if he was honest.

Though? He didn't even know if he was honest with himself, not now at least when push came all the way to shove.

To be fair? The dragon didn't even know what was happening next, he could not let it all come to an end either way at the moment.

He had been too tired at the moment. He was relaxed, he was too fascinated at the moment and all he could do was chortle, pushing himself to his legs and yet boring himself by doing nothing.

The world was very damn odd when he didn't move within it, he had been too interested in the events of which he dealt with it.

Wyverns like him rarely seemed to grace battlefields anymore, knowing something like that was often keeping him awake at night, not that he minded it at the moment.

He was quiet, so quiet it felt like a mouse sat beside her rather than a dragon. She tilted her head, scales flaring up like that of an ancient beast.

She smelled like she was older than him… Did dragons age differently in her world? Because she didn't seem nearly as young as she claimed.

"How do dragons age in your world because there is no way you or your friends are that young," Byvym stated.

"Well, according to Starflight? All of us are seven which is teenage in dragon years…" Tsunami said.

"Yeah, not how it works here. You guys transformed when you aged here… If your kids there? Your young adults here… Probably because it made you whatever age dragons are here." Byvym stated.

"How old are you?" Byvym heard.

"117… 118? Dragons here live millennium… Most of the dragons on the beach beside your friends are centuries older than me… Me? I'm whatever passes for teenage in Dragon… Which means you are at least a year or two older." Byvym said.

"Wha!?" Tsunami asked, her mouth flapping like a broken door.

"Did you not notice the fact we're all the size of small hills and we're all oldish when it comes to our disguises?" Byvym asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Wait, wait, wait… You're saying we're all ancient here?" Tsunami asked which prompted a roll of eyes.

"If you mean you are older than dirt in your world? Yep." Byvym snarked, his teeth slamming into one another with amusement.

Byvym smirked as she flapped around with a dragon like blink which was worthy of a photograph. He could only relax, knowing what was going on and awaiting the sheer joy of being here.

The war didn't touch Earth, they had rules… Neither side cared to follow them and it was clear even he could not accept those rules, not when he wished to try and fix them for now.

Even if he did follow said rules? They wouldn't care, neither side cared to fight fairly, only trying to struggle and let their selfish desires be masked by it at the moment.

Even he couldn't have allowed it to be left alone at the time being, knowing what was growing next at the moment… There was nothing left at the moment and nothing that it would be done with.

To be fair? She knew damn well what was going on, she could at least tell he wasn't trying to trick her. If he was? Perhaps she did and perhaps she didn't but she knew blasted well what was going on, not once would this factor into their plans.

Tsunami glanced at Byvym who clicked his talons on the ground, yawning as he knew what was going on either way. He could not have dealt with it any other way, not in the way he had wished for it to have been.

He could only ponder the future and suggest they return to the beach. He supposed they could stay with Elma or Lucoa as Byvym knew he would cause problems for good reason, knowing what would become of it either way, even if he had wished it to have been.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be 900-6500 words as well as being delayed. It will set up the villain and more about Tsunami and Byvym bonding. Until then, Lighting Wolf is out!
