"Comms are just as important as being out in the field," Mina smiled and sat down at the large desk beside Mika, "We make sure to keep up communications and help with police and medical dispatch."

Mika looked over the different controls, "So you're like a real time tracker."

"Pretty close," she chuckled, "We can be the difference in saving someone's life."

Kirishima walked in, suited in full hero gear, "Don't overload her brain," he leaned down and kissed Minas head.

The pink woman smiled, "She's smart enough to keep up." Her fingers laced with his, "Be careful."

He gave a sharp toothed grin before releasing her, heading towards the door, "Always."

Mika smiled at their interaction, "How long have you two been together?"

"We've been friends since middle school," Mina smiled warmly, "During the war, we came to realize the kind of care we have for one another. So it's been a long while."

"You can tell how much you care for each other," Her grey eyes scanned the screen, "Do you worry?"

"Every single time," she sighed and picked up a headset, "but, in our industry, you gotta have nerves of steel." She handed Mika a headset, "It's worth it."

"You said they cleared out a few weeks ago," Kirishima knelt down, looking over the tracks left behind.

"Yeah," Bakugo's red eyes scanned the building, "but part of me doesn't believe that."

"Me either," the red head stood, "It's rained since then...these tracks should be washed away."

Bakugo tapped the comm, "Do you all pick up on anything?"

Mika's grey eyes scanned the sensor map, looking for fluctuations. Her mouth twisted, "Something faint is in the back building. I don't see movement, but I'd tread carefully."

"I'm on it," Kirishima casually made his way to the building, his red eyes scanned around as he pushed open the door.

Hawks ran out of the building hitting speed dial on his phone. His heart was racing as he took flight, "Answer dammit..."

"What," Bakugo annoyedly answered his phone. He blinked and bolted towards the building Kirishima had disappeared into.

Thorne vines had wrapped around his friend, luckily his quirk protected him, a yellow secretion rolled down his skin, "Don't!" He grit his teeth, "I think these are poison."

"Dammit," the blonde cursed under his breath. Hawks would be here any moment. Tapping his comm he let out a slow breath, "Mika, listen to me: I need you to flip a yellow switch on the far right."

Mina swallowed, "Why?"

"Just do it," he snapped as he sized up the large poisonous creature.

Mika didn't hesitate, "Done. Coordinates to you, right?"

"Yup," he rolled back his shoulders, "Get medic on standby."

Mika and Mina exchanged looks before the pink haired girl let out a breath and did as she was instructed.

Denki currently laid back on his couch, Jiro in his arms as a movie played. He knew the sound and immediately grabbed his phone. They had only used this signal one time: when they went to get Mika. It was a distress signal that dispatched specific heroes.

Jiro moved off of him, "Be careful."

He winked as he grabbed his jacket, "Always."

Deku was the first to arrive, skidding to a stop when he saw the current situation, "Oh...this is complicated."

"No shit," he narrowed his eyes as the grip on his friend tightened, "Has it pierced you yet?"

Kirishima shook his head, "No but it's getting a little cramped."

"We'll get you out soon," Deku's green eyes scanned around them, "It has to be controlled somehow..."

Bakugo outstretched his palm, "Watch." He sent a blast, hitting the hard surface. While it did eat some of it away, it instantly grew back. He huffed, "How the fuck does that work?"

Hawks landed and tilted his head, "This is interesting..."

Denki jogged up, "Of course it's him."

Todoroki walked in and blinked, "Is it a quirk?"

"It has to be," Hawks scanned around them before it clicked, "Where does the root system run?"

Denki grinned, "Let's find out."

The vines tightened once more making Kirishima wince, "Quickly please."

Moments later, Denki came flying through the air, Hawks jumped up and caught him. "She's in the back!" The electric hero called as they landed.

The vines began to move, lashing out at the dodging heroes. Kirishima struggled against their grip, trying to make room for his lungs. Deku and Bakugo sprang into action, heading towards their hidden enemy. Denki ripped the comm out of his ear and huffed, "Kiri why do you do this to me?"

He scoffed, "I just miss you."

"Do you think you could shock it," Hawks' brain was rolling with ideas.

"Not without frying him too," he thought for a moment, "I might have an idea..."

Bakugo fired at the woman in the shadows while Deku made his way around. She pressed her back to the wall, making a thick wall of vines between them.

"Damn," the blonde huffed in frustration, tapping his comm, "Hey icy hot...I need a hand."

"Of course," Todoroki sized up the vines as his ice creeped up them, freezing them in place. Bakugo stretched out his palm and fired, shattering the once vines. Deku sprang out, slinging a figure out into the open. The woman rolled to a stop, vines formed from her spine as she started to get up.

"Not a chance," Bakugo shot of warning sparks, "Call it off before I obliterate you."

"I wouldn't be barking orders," her pale green eyes studied him, "Where is she?"

"Who," Deku stood behind her.

"She gave me a greater purpose," her sage green hair spilled over her shoulders as she stood, "I'd like to repay her."

The three heroes exchanged a look before Bakugo spoke, "She's dead."

"Hawks," Kirishima panted, "Take the comm out of my ear."

The blonde blinked and did as he asked, carefully avoiding the thorny vines. "Hang in there, okay?"

He handed a metal pole to the struggling hero and backed away. Denki let out a breath, "It's not going to feel good...I might cook you."

Kirishima smirked, "Its fine, just do it."

He let out a breath before the air grew thick, electricity shot from his body and to the pole, traveling through Kirishima and to the vines. The red hero was slung across the room, but luckily he landed in the arms of a waiting Hawks.

Mina was trying not to panic, "Guys, what's happening? Do I need to dispatch medic?"

Mika's eyes scanned the screen. Her phone buzzed, making her look down. It was Hawks.

dispatch med and swat. Then head to the hospital, take Mina with you.

Fuck, she thought. Mina watched confused as Mika hit the buttons, sending the coordinates. She cleared her throat, "Mina, we need to go."

She watched as the pink woman processed. Tears threatened to fall as she nodded, her shaky hands set down her headset, "Let's go."

"Come on big guy," Denki placed his hands on his motionless friends chest, panic in his voice, "You're not allowed..."

He sucked in a breath as he sent electricity through his hands once more. Deku securely held onto their captive, the quirk smothering cuffs were placed tightly on her pale wrists. He kept his eyes off of Kirishima's lifeless body, making sure he kept his composure. Bakugo reached out, feeling for a pulse. They had been at it for almost four minutes.

Hawks knelt down, "Come on," he spoke low and calm, "We cant-"

Denki grit his teeth, "The hell I can't." He swallowed, "One more time..."
