Chapter 5
After meeting with Dr. Lindstrom, she went straight to Elliot's house. Before getting out of the car, she texted Lucy that she would be home later.
She prayed that Elliot would be there and that he would remember what had happened. Olivia let out a small sigh as she rang the doorbell. Olivia was about to leave when Bernadette Stabler opened the door.
"Oh, dear. Olivia? Are you okay?" Bernie asked after taking a moment to examine the younger woman in front of her.
"Hi, Bernie... Uh, is Elliot here?" Olivia asked. Bernie nodded slowly before turning and walking into the apartment. Olivia followed her, closing the door behind her.
"Elliot, your partner's here," Bernie called, her voice shaking. The last time she had seen Olivia, she hadn't looked this upset and exhausted.
"My partner? Ma, Ayanna is my commanding officer," Elliot sighed.
Elliot walked out of the kitchen and toward the door. Olivia was standing near the door, her hands shaking from where they were in her jacket pockets. Elliot felt all the color drain from his own face as he saw Olivia looking completely different. She looked exhausted, like a shell of her former self.
"Olivia? What happened to you?" Elliot gasped.
"El-" Olivia started, but stopped herself. Right now she couldn't tell Elliot what happened. At least not in front of Bernie.
"Do you want to talk? We can go to my room," Elliot offered. Olivia nodded and took Elliot's outstretched hand. He led her past Bernie and into his bedroom.
Once in the room, Olivia sat on the edge of Elliot's bed and began to cry. Elliot sat beside her and wrapped an arm around her waist.
"Start when you are ready," Elliot cooed. Olivia nodded as she wiped tears from her cheeks.
"After the party, I blacked out. I woke up in my SUV...my clothes were on the floor and I was very sore between my legs. It was honestly some of the worst pain I have ever experienced. You didn't drug me, did you?" Olivia's voice trembled. Elliot blinked a few times as he prepared to answer. Olivia had been attacked, so he didn't want to snap after her question.
"You can't seriously think that I would do something like that to you... Do you really think that?" Elliot asked, his voice shaking. He was stunned and couldn't believe she was asking him that.
"I don't know what I think, Elliot. All I know is that I remember very little about the party or what happened after. All I know is that I woke up naked and the rape kit found semen in me and on my stomach. The last thing I really remember is that we all agreed to have another drink and you brought us all beers. Then I wake up and I don't know what happened," Olivia rambled.
Elliot was not sure if he should be offended by her words, so he pushed the thought aside and just pulled her into a tight hug. He stroked her hair and tried to breathe evenly to make sure Olivia did the same.
"I would never do this to you, Olivia! I would never hurt you!" Elliot locked eyes with Olivia as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry, Elliot," Olivia whimpered. Elliot stood and paced for a moment before stopping.
"You said you did a rape kit, right? You didn't-"
"I always push for people to get rape kits. I encourage them to do it so they can find out who hurt them. So I knew I had to do one myself... I drove to the hospital and got it done myself. It was so embarrassing because everyone there knows me," Olivia frowned, her eyes fixed on the floor. "They did the rape kit and found the semen. I'm just waiting for the test results to see if the guy's in the system or not. They gave me the usual pills and then one to prevent pregnancy. I told them I was too old, but they said I wasn't and that the pill would help."
Elliot ran his hands over his face. If he ever met the person who had taken so much from Olivia the night of the party, there would be hell to pay. No one should have taken advantage of her and hurt her. No one.
"I'm sorry I snapped, Olivia... We're going to find who did this to you, okay? Then that person will pay for hurting you," Elliot breathed as he sat back next to Olivia. Olivia turned to Elliot and buried her face in his chest, sobbing.
Elliot held Olivia for a while before her phone began to ring. She sat back and wiped tears from her cheeks. She grabbed her phone and answered it.
"Captain Benson," Olivia answered.
"Hello Captain Benson. The lab results for your rape came back... Would you like to come down or..."
"Who did this to me?" Olivia demanded.
"We found a match in the database..."
"Just tell me!" Olivia yelled into the phone. Elliot stood up and went to touch Olivia's back, but she stepped away from him.
"The match is for Dominick Carisi."
The news hit her like a bus. She felt like she couldn't breathe, just gasps coming out of her mouth. She panicked as she tried to figure out how this had happened. Why it happened?
Did she have sex with Dominick? Her former detective and now her ADA had fucked her in the back of her SUV. Between shock, anger, and fear, Olivia couldn't help but feel like her life was falling apart. She was about to lose her best friend since she slept with her boyfriend.
Did Dominick rape her? Was it something she wanted? Something he wanted?
She shook her head and hung up. Something else must have happened, but what?
Olivia tried again and again to shake the memories of that night from her mind. She would never have done such a thing. She knew better, but who knew better when you were drugged.
"Did they find out who raped you?" Elliot asked as Olivia shoved the phone in her pocket.
"They did, El... I know exactly who I slept with," Olivia breathed. She walked out of the room, Elliot following close behind.
"Liv..."
"I need to talk to him, El. So please just stay here. I'll contact you later," Olivia breathed.
"You're not going alone, Olivia!" Elliot shouted.
"I have to do this alone!"
"Why?!" Elliot demanded.
"I need to talk to him alone. This is nobody else's business... just his and mine. I'm sorry, El. But I have to go," Olivia said. She gave him a quick peck on the cheek before walking to the front door without saying another word.
