I know this chapter is short, but I have to admit that this chapter was not easy for me to write.
Chapter 20.
On a Saturday morning, Dominick Carisi sat on a barstool in the kitchen. He had a drink and heard his girlfriend come in with her spare key. She looked serious when she walked towards him.
"How was Atlanta with Jesse and Billie?"
Amanda was surprised by the question and unsure how Dominick's response would make her feel. "The Girls had fun. I had time to calm down and think over the whole situation." Chatting with Elliot made her feel better, but she still felt sad inside. Sitting in front of Dominick, Amanda was feeling all kinds of things.
Dominick was not sure, how to talk to her. He had been heartbroken ever since the last conversation. He felt a pain in his chest and could not shake the feeling of.
He gulped and asked "What's up?" Amanda avoided eye contact and stared out the window.
Amanda sighed. It was tough to say it, but she decided to end things with him. She felt sad looking outside as breaking up is not easy, especially when you still have feelings for the person.
"I know, Liv's pregnancy is tough and I appreciate you being there for her as the dad-to-be. It's tough for me as your girlfriend. It bugs me that you're spending more time with her instead of us hanging out together."
Dominick wasn't surprised when she said that. "I kind of forced myself onto Olivia. She wanted to go through the pregnancy alone. But I wouldn't let her. I couldn't let that happen. It would've gone against my conscience. But you know how stubborn she is."
Sonny sighed. It took some convincing, but he finally got through to Olivia. Amanda nodded with a slightly sad smile as he kept talking.
"Liv was stubborn and didn't want my help 'cause she thought it might ruin things between us, Amanda. She wanted to raise our kid like she did with Noah. I wasn't let that happen
Amanda couldn't speak properly when she heard that. "Sonny, I can't continue this. I'll always be friends with you and Liv. I am sorry to say this. But I think we have no future together. If you have a baby with my best friend." The pain in her chest increased and she held on tightly. The pain in her chest got worse and she held onto it tightly.
"Amanda, we did not choose it. It just happened." Dominick was dumbfounded. Amanda stared down at her hands as tears glistening in her eyes.
"Oh I remember how it went down," she said sadly. He felt bad hearing the hurt in her voice. "If you want to be with Liv and raise your kid. I won't stand in your way," she said seriously.
Amanda quickly raised her hand without waiting for his response. "You're welcome to see the girls anytime you want without any interference from me. We may not be a couple anymore, but that doesn't have to affect your relationship with them." Amanda had a real smile on her face when she said the words, and she truly meant them. "I just can't handle this roller coaster anymore. Someone will be hurt and I don't want to make it harder for you or me." It was already too much of this in the last few weeks. She couldn't bare it anymore.
Dominick was still crying and couldn't believe that his girlfriend wanted to break up with him.
Amanda watched Dominick intently, her eyes scrutinizing his every move. After a few moments of silent contemplation, she finally spoke in a calm and measured tone. "I have carefully considered all the options available for us and I am convinced that this is the best course of action for everyone involved," Amanda said with conviction.
With that statement hanging heavily in the air between them, Amanda slowly turned on her heels and began to walk away from Dominick without even looking back.

Dominick sat frozen in front of the closed door, unable to comprehend what had just happened. A emotion of sorrow flooded his heart as he replayed the events that transpired over the past few month. Amanda's advice might be wise, it did not ease Dominick's melancholy state.
Dominick was aware that Amanda was correct, but he couldn't allow himself to accept it. He felt drawn closer and closer to Liv everyday, and even dared to consider that he might be developing feelings for her. But why? Was it only because of the baby or something more? Dominick didn't understand what to do about his mixed-up emotions for Liv.
Sonny was sad and lost in his emotions. Everything confused him even more.
