Chapter 23.
Fin sat at his desk and kept looking at Amanda. He didn't like getting into other people's problems. But he couldn't help it because they were his family. Amanda and Olivia meant a lot to him, so he wanted to support them both without taking sides.
"Stop staring." Amanda groaned, wiping her eyes. She's been crying a lot lately even if she doesn't want to. "I'm a hot mess," she said exhausted.
"It's okay to let it out." Fin said softly. Amanda nodded, appreciating the comforting words.
Fin smiled softly and clicked his pen as he leaned back. "You and Carisi broke up?" Amanda nodded with a deep sigh. "It's been tough." she said. Fin offered his support, saying that he was there for her. Amanda smiled slightly.
Fin listened to Amanda's words, recognizing the pain and heartbreak in her voice. He sighed, "I thought you were still having a hard time."
"Stabler actually helped me deal with it better. When I had some time off. I thought things over and decided to break up with Sonny."
Fin was surprised by Stabler's involvement, his eyebrows raised. "Stabler? Wow, I didn't see that coming! Good to know he came got through to you, Manda. I understand why you broke things off with Sonny, but I don't want to get more involved in the whole situation."
"I try to avoid her as much as possible. We talk about work stuff, nothing else." Amanda said with a sigh. "I do miss my best friend though. I'm still disappointed and I need some time to get over it." Amanda said.
„I understand. It is never easy to be lied to. Just know that Olivia and Carisi did it to protect you." Fin replied, trying to comfort Amanda.
"It's hard to believe that protecting me was their intention." Amanda replied skeptically.
"I know it's hard, Amanda, don't assume. Maybe there's a chance to work things out and rebuild your friendship."
"I just feel like I can't trust them anymore." Amanda shared with a sigh. "I told Sonny we would stay friends but if I am being honest I 'm not sure if that's possible right now."
"I understand how you feel, but don't make any rash decisions yet. Take some time to process your emotions and thoughts. Maybe you can have a conversation with them and clarify the situation. But do what's best for you and your mental health," Fin advised.
Amanda nodded in agreement, grateful for Fin's support.
Fin and Amanda went back to their work, before stopping when a younger man cleared his throat. He looked over the squad room and locked eyes with Fin first.
"I'm looking for Detective Benson. Do you know if she's in?" He asked, as he glanced around the squad room. It had changed so much, and the desk Olivia used to sit at wasn't in its usual spot.
Munchy looked puzzled and whispered „Detective Benson?" to Velasco. It was odd. He just shrugged his shoulders.

Olivia sighed softly and squeezed the bridge of her nose. She had such a terrible headache from all the drama and tension in her life. Let alone the thoughts that would not leave her head.
"Benson?" Fin asked, after he opened the door. Olivia didn't respond to the knock since she was so caught up in her own thoughts.
"Yes?" Olivia asked, blinking a few times and looking at her Sergeant.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine. What is it?" Olivia said, her voice sharp and kinda cold.
"Good, because you have a visitor. I told him you might not be in the mood, but he insisted on seeing you," Fin spoke.
"Fin-"
"Just be surprised and see this guy. He might make your day," Fin smiled, before stepping out of the door. Olivia groaned as the younger man stepped into the office. Olivia looked at him for a few moments before standing slowly.
This man with light brown hair and grayish-blue eyes looked so familiar. Olivia couldn't place him right away.
"Liv, don't remember me?" He asked, as he gave her a smile. The moment he smiled, Olivia felt tears well in her eyes.
"Calvin," She whispered.
"Yeah, it's me," Calvin smiled even larger. Olivia walked around her desk and quickly pulled him into a tight hug. She squeezed him tightly as memories from years flashed through her mind. This boy had been her son for only a few months, but he always held a large part of her heart.
"Why are you crying?" Calvin asked, as they parted.
"I'm so happy to see you, sweet boy," Olivia said with a weak laugh.
"You must have gotten soft, Liv. You didn't cry that often when I lived with you," Calvin chuckled, as he reached out and rubbed a few tears from her cheeks.
"Stop it," Olivia laughed, before pulling him into yet another hug.
"Are you free? I'd love to take you out for something to eat or coffee," Calvin spoke.
"I'm always free for you, Calvin. Especially when I can only see you like once every ten years."

Olivia texted Lucy and asked her to bring Noah to a small cafe near the precinct once he was out of school. The moment they walked into the cafe. Noah narrowed his eyes in confusion of the strange man sitting across from his mother.
"Who is he?" Noah asked, before even greeting his mother. There had been so much change lately that he was more suspicious of strangers. Especially those that were near his mother.
"Noah, please be polite… How was school?" Olivia sighed softly.
"It was fine. But who is he?" He demanded again. Olivia frowned before looking at Calvin.
"Noah, this is Calvin. Calvin, this is my son Noah," Olivia spoke. Calvin's eyes lit up the moment he heard that. The woman that had been a mother to him during a short yet incredibly meaningful time, finally had a little boy of her own.
"It's nice to meet you, Noah."
"How do you know my mom?" Noah demanded. He still wasn't too sure of Calvin, even if his mother seemed happy to have him around.
"Noah, he used to be my foster son. He is that little boy dressed in the Halloween costume with me. The picture that is right next to your school picture." Olivia explained. Noah softened and a smile grew on his lips.
"Mom talks about you sometimes! You are kinda like my brother," Noah giggled. Calvin smiled, before reaching out and ruffling his hair.
"I kinda am, kid."
Noah got a snack and a drink, before sitting beside his mother and asking his 'big brother' some questions.
"So what do you do?" Noah asked, his mouth full of a simple chocolate frosted donut.
"Well, I moved back to New York. I'm going to the police academy, and it's all because of your mother." Calvin spoke.
"Really?" Olivia asked, tears welling in her eyes again. She was touched to know that she had such a big impact on him.
"Really, Liv. I think you are such a badass, and you've always been my biggest role model."
Olivia blushed softly, as Noah kept bombarding Calvin with questions. Calvin reached across the table and grabbed Olivia's hand.
"How have you been?" He asked, since Olivia hadn't opened up too much to him.
"Where to start?" Olivia chuckled nervously.
"How about the fact you have a big fancy office now. I kept asking for Detective Benson when I should have asked for Captain Benson." Calvin grinned.
