After Archie had knocked on Reggie's front door, he was surprised to see Kenton, one of the players on the football team, open the door. Archie laughed.

"Dude, why are you answering Reggie's door?"

"He's messed up, man."

"I thought you guys were just drinking beers."

"Yeah, but Reggie had a few too many."

"I'm guessing his dad isn't home."

"Hell no. You think he'd invite us over if his crazy-ass dad was here?"

"Fair point."

Archie made his way inside and through the house to the backyard where everyone was sitting. There were numerous empty beer bottles on the ground and one of the guys was actually asleep. Reggie was making the other guys laugh as he yelled drunkenly about something pertaining to the existence of reindeer.

Archie grabbed Reggie's shoulders.

"Whoa, man. You are really loud and you're slurring your words. Are you okay?" Archie asked.

"Never been better," Reggie said before smiling dumbly.

"Let's sit you down," Archie said.

He guided Reggie gently down into one of the lawn chairs.

"That's why you're the best, Arch. All these other guys are just letting me act stupid and laughing at me, then you come along and help me out," Reggie said, almost too drunk to get the words out.

"Hey, if you're gonna act like a clown, bro, I'm gonna enjoy the show," commented one of the guys, which made all of them burst into laughter. Even Archie got a cheap chuckle out of it.

Archie pulled a lawn chair next to Reggie and took a seat in it.

"Awwwww," all the guys teased in unison and chuckled.

"You're such a good babysitter," said Kenton.

"Shut up," said Archie jokingly.

Reggie had fallen asleep sloppily in the chair, for a moment, but woke up moments later and noticed Archie in the chair beside him. Reggie got up from his seat, sat on Archie's lap, and laid his head on Archie's shoulder. The surprised Archie instinctually wrapped his arms around Reggie, who had already closed his eyes and was about to fall back asleep. The other guys looked stunned, but also amused.

"Do not read into this. You guys already know he turns into a big, clingy baby when he's drunk" Archie said to them.

"Hey, we didn't say anything," said Kenton, looking very entertained. "Anyway, Reggie's out of it and so is Marco over here, so this shindig's officially dead. We're outta here. You can put the baby to bed."

Kenton threw a plastic cup at one of the football players Marco to wake him up.

"We're leaving. Wake up unless you wanna walk home," Kenton said to Marco.

"I'm up, I'm up," he responded unconvincingly.

After all the others had left, Archie realized he really was stuck with the task of putting Baby Reggie to bed. The big dope was still asleep in Archie's arms.

"I wonder if I can carry him," Archie thought aloud.

He tried to stand up and lift Reggie, but Reggie's slim yet muscular build actually made him sort of heavy.

"Guess I have to wake him up."

Archie gently shook Reggie, which garnered no response. Realizing that the gentle approach wasn't gonna be enough, Archie then grabbed Reggie's face and shook his head side to side, which woke him up.

"Oh, crap. What happened?" Reggie woke up asking.

He left a small puddle of saliva on the shoulder area of Archie's shirt.

"Everyone left, man. You fell asleep," Archie explained

"I wasn't asleep. I'm not a lightweight," Reggie blatantly lied, which brought Archie back to the realization that Reggie was still drunk.

"Come on. Let me help you get to your bed," said Archie.

Instead of obliging, Reggie pulled Archie into a tight hug as he was still on Archie's lap.

"You know you turn into Baby Reggie when you drink too much, man. You are just all over me right now," Archie commented.

After Reggie didn't even respond, Archie decided that carrying him would be easier after all. The hardest part was just getting up because Reggie was wrapped around Archie like a baby chimp on its mother. Once he managed to muster the strength to stand without dropping Reggie, Archie carefully carried him to his bedroom.

He was trying to gently drop Reggie into the bed, but he wouldn't let go of Archie.

"Reggie, let go. What are you doing? Your bed's right under you."

"You said I'm acting like Baby Reggie and babies need attention," Reggie spoke into Archie's shoulder.

"Jesus Christ, Reggie. We're both seniors in high school. What are you doing?"

Archie leaned forward until Reggie's back fell against the bed, although Reggie was still holding onto him. Reggie pulled Archie down until Archie fell face-first into Reggie's bed and was lying perpendicularly across Reggie's body. Reggie burst into laughter and Archie lifted himself up and shook his head at Reggie like an annoyed parent.

"Don't leave, please," Reggie said.

"But we have school tomorrow," said Archie.

"You can sleep here. My dad won't come in my room without a reason."

"I'll stay for a little while, but I'm not sleeping here."

Archie lied beside Reggie in the bed and Reggie immediately laid his head on Archie's chest.

"Why do you get so needy every time you drink?" asked Archie.

"I don't know," replied Reggie before sticking his hand under Archie's shirt.

"What are you doing?

"It's warm under your shirt. It's comfortable."

"Dude, really?"

Reggie pulled his own shirt off.

"So you say your arm is in my shirt 'cause you wanna feel warmth and the next thing you do is take your shirt off? What sense does that make?"

"Now I'm hot," Reggie responded.

"You're wasted, Reggie."

Reggie stood up on his knees in the bed.

"Let's wrestle," Reggie randomly suggested.

"Bro, go the hell to sleep," said Archie.

"Come on. Wrestle me," Reggie insisted, his hair now all over his head from laying on Archie so many times.

"You look ridiculous, dude," Archie laughed.

"Don't be scared. I'm gonna body slam your ass, bro," the shirtless Reggie slurred.

Archie just looked at Reggie as he challenged him and laughed. Reggie was waiting eagerly for Archie to accept his wrestling invitation.

"Come on," Reggie begged.

Archie chuckled.

"You're so fucking hot right now," Archie blurted quietly.

"Wait, what?" Reggie reacted.

Archie didn't mean to say that. It was more of a thought that he involuntarily said aloud because Reggie was so drunk that it was like he wasn't actually there.

"Uh, nothing," said Archie.
