Growing Pains
Chapter 8: Phantom Behind The Wheel
Danny was completely out of his depth right now.
The ghost man had left the area and was still reeling over the fact that two things just happened. He was just interviewed for the local news...and Tiffany Snow, the perkiest reporter in town, hit on him.
"Okay, this is starting to get really complex and confusing..."He said, trying his best to keep track of everything he went through since waking up in the morning.
He got two ladies's phone numbers, got hit on and catcalled by every woman from 18-30 at the park, one of them tried to feel up his arm, a stupid couple tried to involve him in their drama, he had been interviewed for the local news and a female reporter apparently seemed to be into him.
"I can't believe this. Why can't I be this popular with girls my own age?..."He thought, accepting that he did indeed have some older women who liked the new him.
It really was too bad that he couldn't fully enjoy it, since only he body had aged him up into an adult in his mid-twenties in a single day, but not his mind.
This just made all the attention he was getting really awkward and almost unbearable.
It didn't help his weak knees reaction to girls still remained.
"Tiffany Snow too...I never once thought I'd see that coming. It's like my fantasy of dating her went downhill..."Danny thought, sighing.
There was no denying Tiffany is beautiful, but she's an adult and he's still a minor on the inside.
He knows that realistically, nothing can ever work out between them. Not only with her, but any of the adult ladies that have shown interest in him so far. Nothing can EVER happen with between him or with any of them.
It would just be REALLY weird, creepy and wrong on so many levels.
He can't deal with that.
Not with Tiffany or with any of those other ladies who seemed to think he wasn't a complete dork and genuinely found the new him attractive.
"This is the worst time ever to be a chick magnet..."He grumbled, wondering why fate always seems to be making things hard for him.
He soon found himself back in his neighborhood.
He double checked to make sure he wasn't being watched and phased into his house and went directly to his living room couch.
"What a day..."He said, sighing as he sat down.
The images of Tiffany and other ladies flowed through his head, making him groan.
"Putting all that aside for now, because there's only one woman I need to see and it's totally NOT for a date..."Danny grumbled, recalling that lunatic Helena.
"The sooner I find that man-hunter, the sooner I'm back to being just young Danny Fenton who is just 14..."He thought, trying to remain optimistic.
However, the struggle was hard to stay that way.
The dark haired man was wondering what time it was right now. Danny glanced at his watch and saw that it was almost 2:30PM.
"Wow. Is it really that late? The guys should be out in about of school soon. I guess I might as well go and pick them up as soon as I can..."He thought, as he was to "Go Ghost" and fly there.
He stopped himself and remembered that he doesn't have complete control of his boosted powers yet, this put our hero in a puzzling position. Even if he did find Helena, he didn't know if he even could fight without some sort of liabilities.
Sure, he mopped the floor with Skulker, but he was a little TOO strong now, and that can be a liability too if he's not careful.
"Maybe I might get lucky and not cause too much property damage..."He thought, but then threw that idea out as that could be too much of a risk.
He then tried to think of a way to win without fighting, unaware of what reactions he was going to cause regardless of what he does when he reunites with his friends at Casper High.
However, this concern doesn't seem to occur to our hero at all.
As he was far more focused on how he'll have to pick up his friends from Casper High.
He needed a way that looked convincing as an adult. He walked passed his family's garage and saw his sister's red car parked there.
The same one that she usually drives, the one she had since she turned sixteen. Danny glanced at the spot where she usually leaves her keys, and smirked a bit.
"She did leave the keys..."He thought, pondering to himself.
It was then that Danny just thought of something that he had wanted to do for a long time. The mere idea made him grin and he really wanted to do it, especially since this was a rare opportunity.
"Jazz would totally kill me...but...when will I get another change to do something like this?..."He thought, as he found himself giving in.
He headed inside for the keys, and didn't think twice about it anymore.
"Oh, whatever! She can yell at me all she wants to later. For now, I'm the oldest!..."He said with a chuckle, as he grabbed the keys from inside and went to the driver's seat.
He could barely contained the smile on his face. He's gonna drive a car and pick up his sister and friends from school, and he doesn't have to worry about being seen as too young.
"This is perfect. All I have to do is drive to school and pick them up. How hard can that be?..."He thought, making it sound much simpler then it actually is.
As soon as he started the car, he realized that he did indeed forget something. He forgot to that his foot is much heavier than before and hit the back fence when he reversed it.
He hissed in worry, but tried to wave it off.
"I'm sure that she won't notice any scratches…I hope..."Danny said to himself, trying to convince himself of that more than anything.
He slowly and very carefully moved the car away from the now damaged back fence and drove the car out of the driveway.
With that, he was off.
Later
Danny soon arrived to Casper High, just as the final bell rang.
"Made it..."He said, upon arrival.
He grinned as he parked Jazz's car in a shaky manner, but miraculously there were no crashes or anything like that.
"There we go. Can't believe you need a license to do all that..."He thought mischievously, as he put the emergency break on.
Once done, he waited for his sister and friends to come out.
However, as he waited, several students exited the school but a lot of girls noticed him as soon as they spotted him. Just like with the older women from earlier, Danny's female classmates jaw dropped.
All the girls faces flushed and they all seemed to be completely entranced right now by the handsome looking adult who just arrived.
"Oh my gosh, who's older brother is that?!..."A sophomore asked, looking love struck.
"Please tell me that's gonna be our new science teacher!..."A junior girl said, hearts appearing in her eyes right now.
"I wish that's the case!..."Her friend said, drooling over the hot older man in the car.
Danny heard this and sighed.
"I'm finally getting popular with girls my own age...and I can't do anything about it without the cops getting involved!..."He thought, once again tasting the irony.
As he got out of the car and put the alarm on, some of Casper High's most popular students walked out of the school and noticed the commotion.
"What's with everyone? Did Lancer get peed on by a dog again?..."Dash asked, while Paulina and Star ignored him.
"What's going on?..."Paulina asked, not liking NOT being the center of attention right now.
She noticed Brittany, who was nearby and just as entranced as the rest of the female Casper High students.
"Brittany! What the heck is going on here? What is everyone looking at?..."Paulina asked, irritated.
However, the popular girl had a lovesick look on her face as she spoke.
"Just about the most gorgeous guy ever just showed up!..."Brittany said excitedly as she went to get a closer look at him.
She joined Michelle and other girls, who were also checking out the handsome man by the red car.
"Wow...cute..."Michelle said as she waved her hand in her face to fan herself.
"If he's single...or at least into girls, I think I found my future husband..."Her best friend, Kate, said with a grin, as she pretty much drooled over the guy.
Their friend Rick saw the guy and frowned.
"He doesn't look that great..."He said, but his friends didn't seem to hear him.
They weren't the only ones who were taken by this handsome stranger. The younger A-listers also saw the man and were also in awe.
"Oh my...who is that hombre guapo who arrived?..."Paulina asked, hands on her cheeks.
"I don't know, but I think I'm in love!~..."Star said, hearts in her eyes.
Paulina was eyeing him with intent, in a way she usually does for Danny Phantom.
Even if she was a huge fangirl, the dark haired girl couldn't stop checking this handsome stranger out.
"If things don't work out with the Ghost Boy, I think that I found a backup future husband..."Paulina said, as she and her friends drooled over the handsome adult.
Dash saw the man who all the girls were drooling over and shook his head.
"Oh please, I'm way hotter than that guy!..."He said, clearly jealous.
"His FOOT is way hotter than you are!..."Star said, her eyes still eating the hunk.
Dash heard this and huffed, feeling jealous and wanting to take it out on someone. He can't exactly do it on the buff guy, so he tried to find a nerd to take it out on.
"Of all the days Fentonousky has to be out sick. Let's see if that punching bag with his picture on it arrived in the mail..."Dash grumbled, storming off.
Danny didn't notice this, as he decided to wait until it was time.
"I wonder where the guys are..."He thought, as he checked his watch and tried to ignore the many young girls ogling him.
Unfortunately for him, some of the teachers and staff were heading outside too and took notice of him as well.
They also took noticed that almost all of the 279 girls attending Casper High were not leaving the front yard for some reason.
"What's going on here?! The busses are waiting! Get going!..."Miss Testlaff, who was on bus duty, was livid and surly as usual.
"I see skipping school was a good move…" Danny thought, as he waited for his friends and sister.
However the gym teacher saw him and grew angry, and decided to take it out on him.
"Hey, who the heck are you suppose to be? Why are you here?!..."A husky female voice shouted, sounding irritable as she approached him.
"Oh crud! Testlaff!..."Danny thought in a panic as the gym teacher approached him.
"I said for you to-..."Testlaff stopped yelling once she actually saw who the guy was.
"Well, hello there..." Tetslaff said with a grin.
Danny felt his spine grow cold.
"Uh... hi?..."He asked as his gym teacher scanned him from head to toe.
"Why is she looking at me like that?..."He thought, getting a very unpleasant feeling about this.
Miss Testlaff kept grinning as she looked at the young and muscular looking male. She noticed that he was really young and handsome, not to mention pretty fit looking too.
It made the gym teacher smile.
"Hmmm...nice biceps and chin. Not exactly Mr. Galaxy but definitely not a wimp. That's for sure..."She thought, liking what she saw.
"So...new in town? Where you from? I noticed that there's no ring on you, so does that mean you're single? You can skip the first two..." Tetslaff said with an interested smile.
"Not good. VERY NOT GOOD!..."Danny thought, feeling terrified and ready to release his bile.
"U-Uhmm..."He stepped back in terror, wanting to get away but unintentionally bumping into someone else.
"Oh dear!..." Ishiyama went, dropping her books.
"Sorry! Sorry!..." Danny said, quickly picking her books up and handing them to her.
"Here you go..."He said, briefly forgetting he is an adult and not a student trying to avoid getting detention right now.
To his displeasure, Ishiyama had the same smile on her face as Tetslaff. The principal saw him and smiled, as she took her books back.
"Such a gentleman..." She said, still smiling in an odd way at him.
Danny felt his already cold blood freeze solid.
"Oh man, why is she looking at me like that? I thought Principal Ishiyama doesn't smile unless it's either someone follows the rules or gets punished for it..."He thought, not liking any of this.
Lancer, watching from afar, rolled his eyes.
"Sure, but when I help you pick up your books after that, I get scolded..." He said under his breath.
Miss Testlaff and Principal Ishiyama were still smiling oddly, but soon noticed the students were still here.
Principal Ishiyama frowned.
"What are you all waiting for?! Get to the buses or your cars! Don't dillydally!..."She said, trying to act like she was doing her job.
"That's right! Get home or to your after school activities or it's detention time!..."Miss Testlaff barked loudly, reminding the students why she was so infamous here.
The girls heard this and all let out disappointed "awws", as they left the area. It was clear that they were bummed that they couldn't keep admiring the new guy.
Mr. Lancer rolled his eyes.
"Hormones..."He thought, before he approached the man to ask why he is here.
"So…who are you and what business do you have here?..."Mr. Lancer asked, sounding suspicious.
Danny gulped and tried to think fast.
"I am just here to pick up-..."He tried to answer.
However, someone familiar saw him and came to him.
"There you are..."Sam said as she, Jazz and Tucker ran to him.
"Took you long enough!..."Jazz said in an exaggerated impatient voice, as she grabbed him by the arm and lead him away from the confused teachers.
They had left the school and saw a lot of people acting odd, they also saw older Danny with the teachers and realized that he needed some rescuing, so they improvised and acted like they were waiting for him.
"Thank goodness..."Danny thought, still disturbed by what he just experienced.
"What are you doing here?..."Jazz asked in a low whisper.
"I came to pick you guys up..."Danny said, whispering to her.
Jazz raised a brow, but gasped when she saw the vehicle here.
"You drove MY car here?!..."She asked incredulously, angrily whispering now.
"Kinda. I kind of had to go it slow..."He said sheepishly.
His sister glared at him. She was indeed angry, but before she could berate him, Lancer came to gt more answers.
Danny was mildly amused by his sister's reaction.
However, that's when both Testlaff and Principal Ishiyama spotted him teachers and principal approached them and showed a level of interest in him.
"Excuse me, sir..."Was heard in the voice of Ishiyama.
Danny suddenly became pale, upon hearing those voices.
"Oh no..."He said as the adults approached and had smiles on their faces, all except one of them that is.
"Oh, yes. How may I help you?..."Danny asked, hoping that he didn't sound weird or nervous right now.
"What did you say your name was?..."Mr. Lancer asked, suspicious.
"I'm Dante Fenalton..."Danny lied.
This made his sisters and friends raise a brow.
"Dante Fenalton?..."His friends and sister all thought in differing reactions.
Before Mr. Lancer could ask any more questions, someone was smart enough to think fast and give an excuse.
"He's my uncle, he came to pick us up from school today..."Jazz lied quickly.
Mr. Lancer blinked.
Given that it's Jazz who said that, he felt like he had no reason to doubt her. However, the balding vice-principal seemed surprised by the idea there's a relative of the Fentons who looks like this.
"Uncle? YOU'RE Jack Fenton's brother?..."He asked, looking truly surprised to hear that.
Ishiyama and Testlaff were both surprised, but still in awe of him.
Danny had a bad feeling that this lie might backfire on them sooner rather than later. He recalled that he couldn't risk them asking his parents something to give him away and ended up making something up on the spot.
"Well...uh...I'm actually his third cousin...twice removed...Jazz and Danny just call me their uncle, since it would otherwise be a mouthful..."He lied, smiling nervously while his sister sent him an irritated look.
However, she nodded at his excuse.
"Yep, everything he just said is true..."Jazz lied, sending the man the "you owe me" look.
Mr. Lancer raised a brow, while Coach Testlaff and Principal Ishiyama then spoke up.
"Well, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mr. Fenalton. I hope that enjoy your time here..."Principal Ishiyama said, her unnatural smile growing.
"Yeah, let me know if you need a tour of the town..."Miss Testlaff said, wiggling her eyebrows at him.
Danny felt a violent shudder go down his spine that WASN'T part of his ghost sense and tried hard not to pass out.
"What I wouldn't give for another ghost invasion!..."He thought, as he tried to think fast to get away from them.
"That's flattering, but we really should be leaving..."Danny said quickly before turning to the others.
"Anyway, come on KIDS. I promised your folks that I'd take you all home..."Dante lied, wanting to get away from the adults as soon as possible.
"Sure thing, Uncle DANTE..."Jazz said as they all went to her car and sat shot gun.
"Yeah, thanks again..."Tucker said as he played along.
"Yeah. Thanks a lot, Mr. Fenalton..."Sam said, playing her part too.
"Not a problem..."Danny said, also playing along too.
Dante went to the drivers seat, while his sister was in the passengers seat and reached his ear.
"If you so much as get a scratch on my car, I'm gonna kill you! Regardless if you're already a half ghost or not!..."She whispered darkly, as she kept hiding her feelings with a fake smile.
Danny gulped and slowly drove away from the school, relieved she didn't see the scratches he put to her back bumper.
Mr. Lancer was still unsure about this, but he trusted Jasmine's word. Still, he was sensing something was amiss.
"Strange...he seems oddly familiar...not to mention he drives really slow..."He said.
At the same time, his lady colleagues were still drooling over the guy.
"Ooh! Who would have thought that there was a slab of beef like that in the Fenton Gene pool!..."Miss Tetslaff said, grinning like crazy.
Principal Ishiyama heard this and frowned at competition.
"Miss Tetslaff, aren't you suppose to be getting ready for football practice right now?..."The principal asked, reminding the gym teacher of her job.
"Oh...right..."The gym teacher said as she headed to the gym.
All the while, she couldn't help but let her mind wander over who she just met.
"Hmmm...it's been a while since I saw with a man who isn't a total dud. Maybe I should get some makeup ready..."She thought, grinning crazy.
Once she was gone, the principal smiled in a smitten manner.
"Hmmm...he did seem pretty young, like fresh out of college. If he's looking for work...maybe I should ask if he'd like a job as my assistant. Or as new guidance councilor if he has the credentials...we still need to fill that vacancy since Miss Spectra's disappearance..."She said, wondering if that was proper or not.
Lancer went to go deal with the detention students, as Principal Ishiyama went back to her office, but her mind went back to Dante.
"Regardless...it's been a while since I went on a date. No harm in just asking..."She thought, finding herself intrigued.
The Principal would have to remind herself to ask Jasmine more about Mr. Fenalton from her the next time she sees her.
2 minutes later
In the car
"That was the most horrifying 5 minutes of my life! and I've faced both the Fright Knight and the ghost king!..."Danny thought, still shaken.
He couldn't believe that Miss TESTLAFF of all people had tried to hit on him. The school's most sadistic and child-hating gym teacher, as well every student's worst nightmare...found him attractive.
"Nightmare number 15 has just been realized..."He muttered, knowing that he'd do whatever it takes to forget that.
"And why do I get the bad feeling that Ishiyama was into me too?..."He thought, shuddering.
The ghost man did his best to take in some air, still freaked out.
"Dude, what's wrong?..."Tucker asked, noticing his reaction.
"I so don't wanna talk about it!..."He said, still creeped out.
His sister, unaware of his thoughts, was still upset about his latest stunt and couldn't stop herself berating him on from his reckless actions.
"You have some nerve trying to drive my car!..."Jazz said, still angry about that.
"Sorry, little sis. But I called dibs..."Danny said, smiling smugly.
Jazz sent him an annoyed look, and he realized that right now probably isn't the best time for jokes and messing around.
"Sorry. Seriously, I am but I just couldn't resist..."Danny said, scratching the back of his head.
"As for your car...I'm sorry too, but it was too tempting to pass up..."He said, shrugging.
"But you don't even have a license! It's a miracle that you weren't in an accident or pulled over by the cops!..."Jazz said, angry.
"Uh...about that?..."Danny asked, looking nervous as he kept his hands on the wheel.
"Oh man, what happened?!..."Jazz demanded.
"Nothing serious, honest! The cop just told me that driving too slow can be a problem, but she just left me off with a warning, that's all. She didn't even ask to see my license. Thank goodness..."Danny said, unaware of the fact that the female cop had also been entranced by his new looks.
Jazz frowned, seeing for herself that letting her brother drive was definitely going to be a risk.
"I'm driving! Now!..."She said, but her tone made it feel more like an order.
"Fine..."Danny said, knowing that this is probably the wisest choice right now.
After they drove a block away from the school, Jazz insisted that she keeps driving from now on until he was of adult age for real.
Danny didn't argue, knowing it was a risk to everyone's safety if he continued being the one behind the wheel
As he sat between Sam and Tucker, he didn't see the smitten look on the goth girl's face.
"So tempting..." She thought, as the drive continued.
Danny, meanwhile, was oblivious.
Later
They soon parked by the shopping center, and Danny began to explain about everything that has happened to him since this morning.
Namely, the attention he was getting.
The irony of it is that it's attention he craved, but his current condition meant he couldn't enjoy it.
"So...aside from being big and giving Dash competition on the looks department, what else did you learn?..."Tucker asked.
"Well, my fight with Skulker showed me that I'm a lot times stronger and faster in this body, like 10 or maybe 20 times stronger. I managed to beat him in less than a minute..."Danny said, surprising his friends and sister.
"For real?..."Sam asked, and Danny nodded.
"Not only that, but it seems to extend to my human form as well...I'm a lot stronger as Dante Fenalton too..."He said.
"Sweet..."Tucker said.
"It would be...except that this new body is a lot bigger and heavier to get around and I'm still having trouble controlling all this new power. I almost flew myself right into space when I was flying..."He explained.
"And you probably pressed the gas pedal too strong... or did you think I'd never notice the scratches on the bumper?..." Jazz asked, pointing to said bumbper.
Danny laughed nervously.
"Uh...sorry. I'll pay for that... promise. For now, I'm more surprised by how... strong I am..." He said.
His sister was still mad about the car, but still offered to give her two cents.
"Well, you were already pretty powerful as a kid. I guess being aged up gave you a power boost, but you're still not used to how this body works...so maybe go it slow..."Jazz said, trying to be logical here.
"Trying... but I can't even go up a foot without shooting too far. I almost reached the Karman line..." Danny said.
"Who's Carmen Line?..." Sam asked, trying not to sound jealous.
"It's not a girl... it's the barrier between us and space.".. Danny explained.
"Oh..."Sam said, realizing what he meant.
"I guess that means you gotta be even more careful than usual with your powers..."Jazz said.
"No kidding..."Danny said, annoyed.
He dragged a hand down his face as Sam somewhat patted his arm to calm him, also having an excuse to feel his muscle.
"So...why Dante Fenalton?..."Sam asked, confused as to why he chose that name.
"It was the first thing I could think up..."Danny said, sighing.
"You saw the game poster, didn't you?..." Tucker asked, and his aged friend nodded.
"Yes... and I'd love to play the game as soon as I know I won't accidentally break the controller..." Danny answered.
He took a deep breath, wanting to change back as soon as possible.
Danny and his friends were now entering the mall in an attempt to get his mind off his issues. However, the area was crowded and more women seemed to be checking him out.
It seems his issues were just growing.
Even if he technically had some backup now, it didn't make this any less stressful for the new adult right now.
"Hey, Gorgeous. Come here often?..."A bodybuilding women said in a flirty way.
"No..."Danny said, in an uneasy way.
"Well, if you're ever in the mood for a real workout, you can find me at the local gym around noon..."She said, winking at him.
Danny shuddered and tried to remain neutral, while excusing himself.
"I'll keep that in mind, so long..." Danny lied, while he continued his pace with his sister and friends.
"Let's talk, Dreamboat. I'll be at the club..."Another woman said, sending him a flirty wink.
Danny felt embarrassed and hid his head between his shoulders. Tucker and Jazz were shocked, while Sam seemed livid.
"If they don't knock it off, I'll tear them apart..."She muttered, trying to remain expressionless while her jealousy took root.
"Not sure how they'd feel to learn who they're hitting on..."Jazz said, feeling a bit sorry for her brother
"I'd give anything to trade places with you..."Tucker said, envious of the attention his friend was getting.
Danny frowned.
"I'm not asking for any of this.!Even if I wanted to date any of these ladies, I'm still technically a minor, in case you forgot. Plus, adult women are a lot more...bond...and high maintenance than I expected..."He said, making it clear that he wasn't comfortable with all of this attention.
Sam sighed in relief as she heard this.
"At least he's not taking advantage of them..."She thought, feeling lighter.
"At least my little brother has enough sense not to get involved with someone he knows is too old for him..."Jazz thought, smiling in approval.
"I'd totally take advantage of it..."Tucker thought to himself.
Danny kept his head down upon hearing something.
"Hey, Handsome!..." One woman said as she approached Danny and handed him a piece of paper.
"Call me. Also..."She paused, as she handed him a watch before winking and leaving.
"Uh... what just happened?!..." Sam asked, looking ready to actually start a fight with someone right now.
"My brother is apparently so eye-catching that he just had a woman give him a gift to bribe him into dating her..." Jazz said, shaking her head in disapproval of this situation.
"Lucky..." Tucker went, ignoring the glares Sam and Jazz sent him.
"I don't feel lucky..."Danny said, wishing really hard that he had never met that Helena ghost in the first place.
Plus the ghost man had no idea what to even do with this watch. It also didn't feel right to him to keep it, since it was an obvious bribe.
"I should give this back..."He said, knowing it's the right thing to do.
However, after he went back to return his "gift" to that flirty woman and walked away...another woman approached Danny, obviously very taken with the dark haired man too.
"Hey there. If you're ever interested in someone who knows how to have fun in a place like this, then come look for me in the beauty section..."She said, as she winked at him and gave him a bag.
Looking inside, Danny rolled his eyes and saw something that he wasn't expecting or really needed right now.
"It's cologne..."He said, questioning why he was given this.
"It's one of our free samples at the booth that I'm covering for a friend. Once my shift is over, my friend and I will be out having fun all night. If you want, you could join us..."The lady said, getting a bit too friendly with the ghost man.
Danny gulped nervously.
"I...I might be busy tonight..."He lied.
The woman pouted. Still, she sent him a playful look.
"Well, if you're free...here's my card..."The flirty lady said in a coy manner, thinking he was playing hard to get.
Danny was really getting uncomfortable right now.
"I never realized older ladies could be so...intrepid with their flirting..."Danny said, after the lady left.
This caused his sister to feel embarrassed for him. Tucker felt envious of all the attention his best friend is getting from the really attractive older women. While Sam was just feeling jealous for similar reasons as Tucker.
Even worse, other women then began cat calling "Dante", much to his embarrassment. Even after they walked out of the mall, it didn't stop.
"Hey Hot stuff! Ditch babysitting if you're looking for a wild ride..."A pretty but rude 23 year old woman said as she patted her hand on her car.
Danny cringed and actually blushed a little hard at her offer.
"Uhh...maybe next time..."He said, finding this attention overwhelming.
Sam was seeing all the attention her older male friend was getting and felt her jealousy rise.
"Okay, this is getting into so many levels of wrong!..."She thought, fists shaking.
"Nice arms, I bet I'd look good around one..."Another woman said, grinning at him.
The ghost man has had enough for this attention and avoided eye contact with everyone.
"Okay... let's get out of here..." Danny said as he started to run.
The dark haired man kept running and didn't bother to look back, but that came to an end as he soon heard a tired shout from afar.
"WAIT!..." Jazz called out, but she sounded like she was some distance away.
Danny turned his head and, to his surprise, he saw he was almost 2 block away. He arrived there in less than a minute, while his sister and friend could barely keep up with on foot.
"What?..." He asks as he braked, sliding on the ground a moment.
"I guess I'm still pretty fast in this form..."He mumbled, as he looked back at his friends and sister as they all like they were out of breath.
Tucker and Sam panted as hard as they could upon reaching him. His sister arrived soon after, wiping the sweat on her forehead.
"Ease...*inhale*...up there...*exhale*...Barry Allen. This isn't a race.." Sam said, between gasps as even she couldn't keep up with him at that speed.
"My bad... didn't know I was that... fit..."He said, unaware that a nearby woman passed by and was clearly impressed by his looks and athletic prowess.
"Yes, you are..." One women with long, wavy brown hair said as she walked by, winking at him.
Danny felt embarrassed to hear that again, while also surprised how well he did. He was still not used to being so much stronger and faster than he usually is.
"How fast was I just now?..."He asked out loud.
"I'm pretty sure you just beat Dash's track record by a lot..."Tucker said, putting that statement very lightly.
The ghostly man was curious and somewhat intrigued, wondering how and where he can figure out his new limits.
"Just how strong am I, exactly?..." Danny questioned out loud.
"We should probably test you in both forms, before Murphy's law kicks in..."Jazz said, and the others nodded.
"And it's probably best to check both forms, just in case..."Sam suggested, but secretly wanting to see the transformed Danny in his ghost form with a much more physically buffed appearance.
"Yeah...good idea..."Danny said, rubbing the back of his head, unaware of his female's friends thoughts.
The teen-in-an-adult-body soon followed his sister and friends back to the car, to see just how powerful he was getting.
