Chapter 32.
Dominick's legs were still weak as he and Olivia stumbled from her doctor's office and towards their car. They had gone through with the testing, but neither really remembered that happening. Finding out that their one baby ended up being two babies was something neither would forget, even if they both had a lot going through their head right now.
"Sonny." Olivia breathed, as she stood on the passenger side of the car and cradled her belly in one hand.
"Yes?" He asked, as he slowly looked up at her.
"Can you unlock the car?"
Dominick quickly hit the button to unlock the vehicle, before they climbed in. Carisi didn't even put the keys in the ignition, as he stared out the windshield and tried to organize his thoughts. He kept thinking about where they would be able to put three kids in a two bedroom apartment. How would they afford to send three children to college? What about three cars at the age of sixteen?
"I'm scared." Sonny whispered, as tears slipped down his cheeks. Olivia looked over at him and frowned deeply.
"It's okay to be scared...I am too." Olivia inhaled. She reached out and caressed his tear-stained cheek.
"We are going to have two babies… that means two cribs, two car seats, a huge stroller, lots of clothes, a shit ton of diapers, formula unless you want to breastfeed and pump. Oh my god, can you imagine how big the hospital bill will be? Two deliveries, possible NICU stays, any medicine you may need-"
"Sonny, you are spiraling," Olivia interrupted. He stopped speaking and turned to Olivia.
"How?"
"How can we do this?" Olivia mused.
"I don't know if we can." Sonny whispered. Olivia leaned a little closer to him, before pressing a firm kiss to his lips.
"This is going to be cheesy, but we can do anything as long as we stick together. Even Noah will be a big help. Now he'll have two little siblings to cuddle and teach everything." Olivia smiled. Sonny took a slow breath, before nodding slowly.
"I love you."
"I love you too, Sonny."

Noah was still at school, so Sonny and Olivia had more time to process what was happening before the little boy got home. Their entire world was getting flipped on its axis, and there was nothing they could do about it. At this point, they just had to let things sink in and go from there.
"Is it weird that you didn't feel two babies kicking around?" Sonny questioned, as he draped a blanket over Olivia's body. He folded it carefully over her belly and tried his hardest to not touch where she was already bruising.
"Dr. Moore said that it would be hard for me to feel one baby at first until I recognized what their movements felt like… anyway, baby B was towards my spine. I probably wouldn't be able to feel much of anything."
"Clearly these babies are a lot like us, Liv." Sonny smiled, as he tried to make everything feel a little lighter.
"They are?"
"Baby A was being a troublemaker and hiding their twin." Carisi grinned. Olivia smiled, as Dominick sat beside her.
"We are going to have our hands full."
"That we are." Sonny smiled.
While they waited for Noah to come home, they talked quietly about what was happening. Sonnymade a list of all the things they needed for not one, but two babies. They made a plan to go pick out items once they could figure out the logistics of housing two babies, one kid, and two adults in a two bedroom apartment.
"I'm getting more excited about having two aliens instead of just one." Sonny smiled, as he locked his phone and sat it on his lap.
"I am too, but I'm not excited about either having a c-section or giving birth to two babies."
"Whether you have a c-section or give birth naturally… I'll be there holding your hand the entire time. I'll be your birth coach, and clearly the most amazing soon to be father." Sonny grinned. Olivia laughed softly, cringing slightly from the pain in her belly.
"God, I can't even remember the test, but I can feel the cramps she described." Olivia groaned.
"It's important it was done though, Liv. It will tell us if our babies are sick or not." Sonny spoke, as he gently caressed her hair.
Sonny was facing the door, and he noticed a teary eyed Noah standing there.
"Noah-" Sonny started.
"Babies? I only want one sibling, not more than that!"
"Noah, sweet boy-" Olivia started, but Noah was turning quickly and sprinting down the hall. Sonny jumped up and raced from the apartment, but by the time he reached the end of the hall, Noah was gone.
"Where is he?" Olivia cried, as she slowly made it to where Dominick stood. He turned to her and swallowed hard.
"Honey, I have no idea... but I will find him. I promise. Just go back to the apartment and call Fin. See if he can go out and start looking, too."
Olivia was led back to the apartment and was alone once Sonny gathered his items and left to find Noah. She sat and couldn't believe that her son was furious over the fact he was getting two siblings instead of just one.
