Chapter 33.

"Was that Noah?" Lucy asked, as she walked into the apartment. She had stopped at the end of the hall to answer a call since she knew Olivia was home.

"Y-yes," Olivia whimpered, as she stood and looked at the door. Carisi had left to find Noah, but who says he will be able to find the very angry little boy.

"Liv-"

"I'm having twins, and he heard that and got angry. He doesn't want the twins." Olivia scowled. She ran a hand through her hair before slowly sinking back onto the sofa. She was exhausted from the day.

"Noah left because of that? Liv, maybe he's just confused."

"We all are, but I didn't run off and try to get away from this." Olivia let out a sigh. She ran a hand over her face before turning to her sitter.

"He can run away because he's not the one carrying the babies. Do you want me to go and search for him?" Lucy asked.

"Could you call his friends? I'm going to try and contact the crew. See if I can get all hands on deck."

While Olivia and Lucy made calls, and Sonny was outside searching for Noah, the little boy kept running. Tears streamed down his cheeks as he felt so beyond unwanted. If his Momma was having two babies now, she didn't need him. He was certain in that little heart and mind of his that his mother would ship him off since now she wouldn't want him. She had the twins and Sonny.

While Noah had been turning a corner, he had heard Sonny call for him. He just ignored him and kept moving. He hadn't been out in the city on his own before, so he was trying his hardest to remember all of the turns it took to get to where he wanted to go. Eventually, even though his eyes were blurry with tears, he made it to his destination.

He stood on his tiptoes and hit the call button just like he did before when coming here with his mother.

"Hello?" Amanda answered.

"Aunt Amanda!" Noah hiccuped.

"Noah? Is that you?"

"Yeah! I need help!" He cried.

"I'm coming down, Noah. Stay put." Amanda ordered. After less than a minute, the front door of the building opened and Amanda stepped out. She pulled the little boy into a tight hug, before kissing his hair.

"What are you doing here?" She asked, once she got to hold the boy. Noah started to sob, as he clung to her. Amanda lifted him into her arms and felt as he snaked his arms around her neck and cried into her hair.

"Baby, you can tell me anything. You know that… but if you don't want to talk right now, I will take you upstairs and we can talk later. Okay?"

"Okay." Noah sniffed, his arms never leaving her neck.

For over an hour, Noah just sat on Amanda's sofa with a blanket wrapped around his body. He kept accepting tissues from Jesse whenever the small girl noticed more tears on his cheeks. Finally, he felt like talking, so he called Amanda over. She placed a plate of food in front of Billie before moving over to the boy.

"Tell me what happened, Noah." Amanda spoke. She gently caressed his small back, as he kept his eyes focused on his hands.

"Momma doesn't need me anymore."

"What? Noah, your mother adores you." Amanda's brow furrowed in confusion.

"Not anymore." He said with a small huff.

"Why do you think that? Your mother went through so much to be your mother, she would never want to get rid of you." Amanda inhaled.

"I wanted one sibling, Aunt Amanda. One. Not two."

"Two? She hasn't even had one baby yet, so who says that there-"

"No! There are two now! In her belly!" Noah shouted angrily.

"Noah, she's having twins?"

"Yes, and she lied to me about it! She said there was only one! Now I will have 3 siblings."

"Bud, your mother had no control over the fact she's having twins. She didn't decide one day to just have another one… God decides that." Amanda spoke.

"How come she only talked about two babies today?" Noah grumbled as he lifted his eyes to meet Amanda's.

"The baby was playing hide and seek in your mother's belly."

"Like I play with Jesse and Billie?" Noah questioned, and Amanda smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, buddy. Like that. It's not her fault that she didn't know."

Noah nodded slowly and quickly brushed a tear from his cheek.

"Can you call her now?" He asked softly.

"Your momma?" Amanda asked. Noah nodded.

"Yes, please… but don't have her come and get me. I missed you and want to be here a little longer." He replied quickly.

"Sure, Noah. Let me get you a plate and then I'll call your mother."

Amanda stood in her bedroom and watched the kids eat supper. The phone kept ringing, and when she was just about to end the call and try again later, Olivia answered.

"Amanda?" Olivia sniffled into the phone.

"Noah's at my apartment. I'm feeding him dinner and then I'll bring him home. Okay?"

"How did he get there?! Did he call you?"

"No, he just walked here, I think. He's fine, just sad and angry."

"Uh, thanks... I'll wait for you." Olivia exhaled as she reluctantly ended the call. All she wanted was to continue talking to her friend and get all the details about what happened with her and Noah, but she didn't even have enough energy for that.
